This is a new to me author and I will for sure be reading more! I was immediately immersed in this story and felt connected to Keira from the get go. Keira is the kind of heroine I like, independent, strong and stands up for herself. She has a stalker and has no idea who it could be except maybe someone from her past. When her run in with her neighbor Cade uncovers he’s in security , she gains someone in her corner. Cade is on leave from an injury received on his last mission. When his interaction with Keira shows signs she may be in trouble or scared, he steps in and helps, not knowing what messy web he’s really going to uncover.
I can usually guess the who and while I was partly right I wasn’t expecting the how and why. I can’t wait to read more (hopefully) from this group!

Gutstov is a demon who is determined to kill Donna before she meets her mate. She doesn’t even realize that is a thing. Between Gustov, Antoinne, Jeannie and Mac, her life is again upside down and turned sideways and is spinning.
Donna and Antoinne need to team up and take down Gustov but things are not as simple as that. This story was a quick read that kept me reading and enjoying this enticing tale. Sparks definitely fly in this story. Enjoy!!

This was a really fun and cute little book to read. my kids have been enjoying these books. this one was based on friendship, inclusion, individuality, and accepting people who are different, something I have been teaching my kids that everyone is different and does things different too and we shouldn’t judge or criticize them. when a little girl feels like she doesn’t fit in, she thinks she someone or something that she is. And then meets an alien and becomes friends with. the pictures and illustrations in this book really went well with this story, and they were bright and amazingly drawn, and bright in color making it fun to read. this is a cute fun book to read with your kids.

Julia has always been a loner, as an orphan and bounced around and always looked over her only friend was her case manager that dies suddenly of a brain aneurysm. Julia is very much alone, scraping a meager existence at a dead end job. Until something new opens… a job with Crime scene clean up on night shift. The benefits are amazing and pay even better so she can’t resist applying. She is shocked when she’s called for interview, and even further when she’s offered. She’s about to find out this job is so much more than that and there’s another whole existence of other beings out there. Her attention to detail might just save the life of humans as a creepy assasin is on the loose, but can she move past and accept the betrayal she feels from her implant and “slavery to another race” and the natural instinct to hide and not be shining in the spotlight of something she’s absolutely a natural for? Only time will tell. The characters are well built. You want to reach in and slap Julia for her negative Nancy woe is me attitude but she’s earned it with how life has treated her. I am definitely interested in more that this author has to offer as this book hooked me and I couldn’t put it down once Julia found out what she was actually doing.

I really enjoyed this installment of the Hawke family. The chemistry between Jude and Angelina was really good and felt it was more emotionally based. Even though this is a continuation of an ongoing series, it can be read as a standalone. I look forward to seeing more development in this family and reading other books by this author.

This was a quick read for me and I read it in a day. That said it is an amazing read and grips you from he beginning. You get all the feels straight from the first chapter. You feel connected to the characters refuse. You can relate to either knowing someone like them or because you were one of them in high school. The situation that happens between the main characters in high school sets the tone for the remainder of the book. You will keep turning pages to figure out if the leading female will get over what happened or if the leading male will figure things out and possibly grow up. There is a decent amount of steam in this book that feels natural to the situation. There is character development and growth throughout the book as the characters get older in life. It is a sweet story that has you hooked and rooting for the characters. Even though it is the 4th book in the series it can be read as a stand alone. This is the second book in the Second Generation of Hawke series. I have loved every book in this series. These romances are more than a romance. They are stories of family, friendships, danger, past traumas and the effects they have on a person. In this story we are with Jude and Angelina. Jude was taken into the Hawke family at the age of 10 but because if his past he constantly pushed everyone away to protect himself including the one person he really wants close Angelina. Angelina is the oldest sister to Jude’s best friend Allie. She can sense something is troubling Jude but she has never been close enough to him to find out what. When Allie starts to go MIA, missing work, lying about where she is and who she is with it and generally just not being herself it leads Jude and Angelina to work together to figure what is going on with her. Untied in the need to help someone they care about the more time they spend together the more they realise their attraction to each other. Both Jude and Angelina have suffered in their lives, both have built high walls of protection around themselves but what happens when those walls start to come down. This is a story about 2 people who have been emotionally damaged but who are trying to rebuild their lives. There is also the danger of the enemy that is still trying to wrestle control and bring down the Hawke Family that puts all of them in danger but the main focus for me was how Jude started to blossom and grow the more he allowed Angelina in. I can’t wait to see what happens next. What is Allie playing at? Who is she with and why is it such a secret?

This is a sweet story about a stray cat that hides in bushes and searches for food. As a woman who spends a considerable amount of time trapping and releasing the feral cat colonies, I love that this book explains that feral and strays deserve love and patience and the importance of spaying and neutering. In this story the stray cat remains a stray cat, but learns he is safe and fed by the family and becomes friends with them all. All cats need love, not just lap cats.

Highly emotional and steamy The second book in the Sweet Valley Series, Granting Katelyn, is a wonderful contemporary romance. Based in a small town with a western theme, the book follows on from book one with Elle’s younger sister Katelyn. Her journey to happiness and Grant is full of emotion, angst, drama, chemistry, soul searching and healing. A brilliant story and addition to the series. Looking forward to the next book. Highly recommend.

ok first things first. This is book 2 in the series and I highly recommend reading in order, so if you haven’t read book one yet, go grab it and read it first because this book picks up straight after the first so reading in order will really enhance your enjoyment. Believe me you will enjoy this book!! This book and I have to say this series, just keeps getting better with every page turned! If a Paranormal Romance with Vampires and Shifters is your idea of a good time then this is definitely for you. With such great storylines this very talented author will keep you captivated from start to finish. I still have a couple of questions going around in my head so I need book 3 ASAP!! LOL

Reticent Hawke is the second book in The Hawke Family Second Generation Series and is a wonderfully written Contemporary Romance/ Forbidden Romance older best friends sister . I have to say I’m a huge fan of not only this author but this series. Holy Cow this book shredded my heart and I was expecting to be taken on a emotional rollercoaster ride but wow. My heart ached for Jude and I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t put it down. I had to know what was going to happen next. I’ve been waiting for Jude and Angelina’s story and I must say its my favorite yet. Each book in this already amazing series just gets better and better. I’ve read every single Hawke Family book and can’t wait for the next. I don’t want to give anything away. This is a must read book I promise you won’t be disappointed in. I do suggest having kleenex near by you will definitely need them. I’m patiently waiting for the next book.

First up I have to say that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this fun series!! Set around the Rock Band Balefire each book is full of fantastic characters and interesting storylines. Some of them you will love and some you will love to hate!! lol well I know I sure did anyway. This book is set around Balefires lead singer Blu who meets his mums neighbour Ashleigh and is instantly attracted to her but for the first time in a very long time he has to actually work to make a connection with her instead of her just falling for him straight away because of who he is. I love these two characters so much and loved reading their story as they come together. I can’t wait to read more about the boys of Balefire. I love this authors style and fun storylines so I am sure there is a lot more fun coming our way with this amazing series. I say bring it on!!!!

I have read a few books from this author and she continues to be one of my favorites. This book is the fourth book from the amazing series called the Code of Honor. It could be read as a stand alone but there are previous characters in this story as well. I love a good military romance but this author exceeded my expectations. I was so excited to read this book so I started reading it right away. I could not put this book down. These characters kept me wanting more until the end. I can’t wait to see what she will write next.
Angelica Reece was not popular during high school. She loved math classes but there was a distraction in her class, Chase. Angie could not stand the Senior that did absolutely nothing in class but sleep. She didn’t like him from the start. Chase loves women, and women love Chase. After graduation, he left town to join the military. The strict rules and rugged country he travels around whips Chase into a buff and sturdy man with strong convictions, a sharp jaw and as much charm as ever. While he matured in many ways, his taste for female company slowed down but never went away. When he meets his nephews gorgeous favorite teacher, his interest is piqued.
Angelica kept her grades high in the rest of high school, went to college and got her teaching degree just like she always wanted. While she was a wallflower in high school, however – she now was a confident and straightforward woman who was aware of what she offered the opposite sex. She enjoys dressing to strengthen her confidence, and is not afraid to be beautiful on top of being smart and wonderfully kind.
When she hears from a favorite student how he wants her to meet his favorite uncle that just came back to town, Angelica tries to get out of being on car lane to avoid seeing Chase Thorne again, she feels a bit dashed to realize he doesn’t remember her – and here he was still in first place for being the most embarrassing moment of her entire life! Chase, unaware of how this stunning teacher can’t be impressed by him, keeps pulling out all the tricks.
After a run in with one another in public, Angelica gets a pep talk that convinces her to take her opportunity to experience THE Chase Thorne treatment, the pair become steamy. Chase continues to not remember Angelica, even after having several of his friends and family show shock that he can’t place her. He does feel inklings of a shared past, but with his history he is having trouble placing her.
After blundering through several attempts to get to know Angelica better, Chase realizes he really wants to have a relationship with her. After finally remembering how he knew her in high school, he takes it very seriously to show her how sorry he is for past choices.
This was a cute, quick read that offered some quick steamy scenes but spent most of the time focusing on how much love can make people want to be and do better. Great book to close out summer before all the busyness and stressors of a new school year.

Wonderful tale of strength and resilience! Claire has the power and strength of giants.
Claire’s life was turned upside down when her mother announced she was pregnant after a one-night stand. As Claire’s mother’s depression increased during the pregnancy and deepened after Harry was born, Claire took an ever increasing parental role for Harry and her mother.
As Claire’s senior year of high school begins, things are only getting worse. Add a new guy that eyes for Claire despite her efforts to turn those eyes to her best friend. Claire’s uncle is threatening to take Harry. Claire has to make some hard decisions about what she wants for her life and the future.
Unorthodox solutions to Claire’s problems present themselves. Claire decides that these choices are the only way to save her family which means that Harry isn’t going anywhere. As Claire is two steps from following through on her unorthodox solutions, another way presents itself. Although this new way is hard for Claire to swallow, she determines it is the better option.
Claire found the inner strength to protect the family she wanted, even if it meant that she went to extreme measures to get it. I don’t want to reveal too much but the way Claire was able to repair the relationship with her mom was beautiful. Sure, it will still require work to get back to the way it was but any steps forward are good.
Worth the read. Take the time to get to know Claire and Harry.

The King family is a powerhouse, with a widowed father at the helm of a worldwide business and five sons that could fill in his shoes. While you do get an introduction to them all, our MCs are Theo and Matthias. Theo is best friends with our female MC, Ava, but it is purely platonic and sweet. As the oldest, Matthias is expected to step into his position while his brothers are left to find what it is that interests them. With his college career ended successfully, Matthias is given the signs he is expected to join the company soon, but ekes out what he anticipates to be one last day where he gets away with making an excuse not to go to the city with his father – however his brothers jump at the opportunity to get out of the house and disappear in the city and leave Matthias home with Eleanor, the caretaker of the family.
Meanwhile, Ava Sutton, the daughter of Mr. King’s driver, is given strict instructions by her father to stay home, as there is a major snowstorm predicted. Their home is the carriage house on the King estate. After her father leaves and the snow really does start to fall heavily, Ava hears a loud pop and the power goes out. Keeping an eye on the storm, Ava decides she had better walk up to the King home before it gets any heavier, just to find herself half frozen and sopping wet by the time she gets to the kitchen entry. As Eleanor sees how sopping wet she is, she takes her clothes to dry them and gives Ava a robe and her famous hot chocolate.
When Matthias finds Ava in the house, he is terribly mean to her, implying she isn’t worthy of his home or any of their attention. Ava finally has enough and lets him have it for being so terrible to her over the years, just to find they have an intense passion for one another, and a couple of days of discovering it before everyone descends back on the house. Ava is swept away to her aunts by her father without a chance to say goodbye, and Theo forgets to pass along the message to his brother the way she tells him to. Without understanding what is leading the other to make the decisions they make or how they end up apart, five years pass before the King boys and Ava all end up back at the estate together. Matthias is as mean as ever, Theo is as fun loving and charismatic as ever, Ava is as sweet as ever, but they’ve all lost their childish features and came back together as adults. Theo convinces Ava to give him a chance, which beyond loving him all her life, is even easier after Matthias is meaner than ever after never even setting eyes on each other for 5 whole years. Some relationships are the same, some change for the good, and some change for the bad. Sweet story of true love, heartbreak, loss and a happy ending.
Characters and locations are fully fleshed out and beautifully described, emotions run on high throughout most of the story, and there is a lot of feelings to work through from all points of view. I really enjoyed this and would love to see where the rest of the brothers end up!

I am a sucker for YA Romance books. This was a good read! I enjoyed that it really is such a “possible” story. Kids in high school are mean, but eventually everyone grows up, goes their separate ways, but we do have people that never leave our minds and hearts. So many emotions felt throughout! Foster homes, high school, bullies, and the wrong side of the tracks.

Jack and Isaac are an amazing relationship to read about! Passion, fear, suspense, action, drama, intrigue, steam – this book has it all! After a graduation weekend, Isaac met “Jack” and they spent the most memorable weekend of both of their lives together. As the weekend meets its end, they go their separate ways, but neither will be forgotten by the other.
For Jack, it is especially memorable because it gave her the true love of her life – her daughter Viviana. While she does resemble Isaac, Jack never told him she was pregnant – not that she would have known how to contact him, as he didn’t give his name or information. However, while she never forgets him, she is fully capable of raising ViVi on her own.
Five years after their unforgettable weekend, Isaac is working hard as the protector of the family empire and takes his job very seriously. When an old family friend begs protection for his daughter and grandaughter, Isaac is introduced to Giacomino – aka “Jack” and Vivi. Once he sees his eyes set in Vivi’s face, his entire view on life changes. This is no longer a job to help a family friend, this is a job to protect the woman he was never able to forget and he refuses to let get away again, and their daughter.
I love the world building, the emotions are intense and passionate, it was a wild ride and the second generation sounds like it will be as great a series as the first!

Wow, Jude has been through a lot in his short life. When some of his problems were discovered while he was a kid, his best friend Alessi’s family took him in. His experiences in his early life lead to a lot for him. Agoraphobia, a passion for Alessi’s sister that he holds close to his heart, and a fear for how people may look at him if they found out.
Despite his phobia, Jude will do anything he can to be supportive of Al or Angie to share his love and appreciation however he can. When Al starts telling lies, avoiding contact, showing up late to work and going MIA, he and Angie work together to get to the bottom of what’s going on – and with Jude and Angie being together regularly, their pull starts to do what they’ve both been trying to avoid for so long – make them crave one another more and more.
This isn’t a storyline you see often, with an older woman being the object of a younger mans desire, and it was a new POV for me that I enjoyed. There were a lot of things being dangled throughout the book that basically were inconclusive, or rushed to a conclusion. The rest of the book was good enough I’d read again even though I felt a few aspects had more potential than they were given and felt like an afterthought.
The Hawke family in both generations offer captivating stories, romance, danger, intensity, familial support, love, friendship, tradition and more. The opportunities that arise in each addition to the series stay interesting and easy to read, offering intrigue and desire to see what happens next.

I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Although this book is the 5th book in the series, it can be read as a stand alone. I read this as a stand alone but will be looking into other books in this series. The book did keep me guessing and anticipating what would happen next. I truly enjoyed that all characters weren’t loved by me, because thats just reality. Loved this book and can’t wait to look into the others in this series.

This book is freaking PHENOMENAL. It’s a gorgeous teen romance, with a beautiful HEA. The character growth from both main characters is so well written, and I loved every single minute of it. I actually read a decent chunk of it while getting a tattoo, which I don’t recommend if you’re getting a bunch of line work, because I had to hold myself back from laughing. Wes is such a beautiful soul, and he must be protected at all costs. Also the shade thrown in this book between the characters is so creative, and I do now have some choice phrases that I’m probably going to use to tease my friends. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book by these fantastic authors, but I’m definitely going to be looking at their works because this one is absolutely on par with more known authors from my childhood. I highly, highly recommend, and I’m for sure adding this to my “favorites” stack!

The Guardsman is the second book in The Olympic Peninsula series by Cat Treadgold. It is a heartwarming contemporary romance with an opposites attract element, a protective hero, damaged soul, trauma, family dynamics, emotion, finding love unexpectedly, and the healing power of love. Here we meet Liam, who is Ali’s ‘missing- presumed dead’ twin brother (Ali is the FMC in Book one- The Silent Woodsman). Liam has been through quite a lot in the past few years and has quite the story to tell. Needing time to reevaluate his life and come to grips with everything, he goes to stay with his twin sister and her husband- and life takes an unexpected turn. What happens makes for a heartwarming tale. As with the first instalment, Ms. Treadgold crafted a touching story which is woven with plenty of emotion which tugged at my heartstrings and made it easy to connect with the characters and invest in their story completely. I am looking forward to the release of ‘The Magic Man” (Book #3). Happy Reading…

This is my second audio book in this series which I enjoyed listening to just as much as the first. If you haven’t listened to the previous book in this series I highly suggest doing that. It is just as great as this one. I enjoyed the narrator and what they added to the story. They made it easy and engaging to listen to. What happens when you are accident prone and are in need of a protector? Liam and Teresa are about to find out. Their story is one that is full of romance and will keep you coming back for more. The characters have great growth as well as chemistry throughout the story. I really enjoyed this audio book and I think you will as well. I highly recommend this audiobook.

First time reader of this author Brooke May. This the fourth Book of the Code of Honor Series. It was quick reading for me since I read it all in one day, a real page turner. This author is amazing at portraying the characters’ emotions and making you feel every last one.I read this one first but I’ll definitely be going back to read the first 3 books of the series. I like how she wrote the steamy🔥 scenes😏. Also Boyyyyyyy cera is a real piece of work ughhhh. I’m glad Angelica ended up giving Chase a second chance cause I really do love HEAs . I’m looking forward to seeing more of this series also. ps. Ridge is so adorable telling his uncle like it is 🤣

This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites for sure. I enjoy this author’s writing style as well as her attention to details to make the story realistic. A well written story about undeniable attraction and he has one mission, to wear her down. You don’t want to miss what these characters do. I found myself hoping they would get their HEA for sure. I enjoyed how creative and engaging the characters are. They add so much to the story which made it easy for me to read. I found this book to be fast paced and hard to put down. A story that is engaging and finds out what happens if the music stops. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it.

The title alone drew me to this book and when I saw who the author was I knew without a doubt I needed to read it.
As someone who grew up in the 80’s the little references took me back to a time when the responsibilities of being an adult didn’t weight so hard on me. Rainbow Brite, Cabbage Patch Kids (mine was named Heather Dawn), Strawberry Shortcake, Pac-Man and of course the awesome hair band are just a few things mentioned that made me smile.
I do love that she is named Blaine and even as young as she is she loved and appreciated everything from the 80’s and the connection she had to her Mom through the store.
From the beginning I didn’t want to like Eric because he is a developer who takes the places we love and live and either destroy it or make the cost of housing more than an average person can afford. But I was charmed by him when he met Blaine at the store.
I loved the book, characters and the happy memories that came back. Thanks for reminding of the good old days!
