This is my first book by this author, and I gotta say, I’m impressed. The amount of details she poured into this book is phenomenal. This book is a clear labor of love, and it was a very good book as well. I loved the story line of it all, and I also really enjoyed the ending and the book as a whole. It’s a shorter book to my standards, which is fine, but the writing on it is so detailed that I still had to take my time with it and observe everything the author wrote. If you love history and mystery, I highly recommend!

I felt like I went back to high school. However this time I didn’t hate it. Sage Advice is a cute story about you guessed it high schoolers. I love the advice column aspect of the story. Though I was able to figure some out, it still gave a different life to the book. Frankly just as oblivious as the main character exhibits throughout I didn’t realize that tidbit from the title. But it is glaringly obvious now. Pyper is a high school senior, who had her heart shattered, and that incident revolved around prom. So what does she do? She swears off men, but at the same time lets everyone believe she’s in a relationship. She also tries to get prom canceled. Like I said, try. She learns some valuable lessons throughout this book. Some minor others may be a little more important. It’s the growth that she exhibits as she learns these lessons that really makes her character blossom. Will she ever confront and/or let her ex-boyfriend go? Will she open her eyes to not miss opportunities to be happy, that are right in front of her? Those questions and so many more to get the answers too. There’s so many characters that Impact Pyper in different ways, which actually reminded me of the people I surrounded myself with at that age. They were friends for sure, but they all served a different purpose in your life if they knew it or not. If you want something different, check out this young adult novel. Transport yourself back to a time when things didn’t matter as much as they do now. Teens, this book is definitely for you!

I have been addicted to this series from the beginning and this fourth installment, The Ring of Eagna did not disappoint one bit! I love how The Cross of Ciaran books have such deep roots in ancient cultures and archaeology. It is definitely what drew me to this series in the first place! Andrea Matthew’s creates a beautifully realistic and yet whimsical world that you can’t help but get lost in. I’ve always enjoyed her writing tone as well. Ms. Matthew’s really knows how to create a vivid picture and an even more clear feeling! This series has everything you could ever want: the paranormal, romance, time travel, mystery, and all blended in with historical facts! I was truly so excited to hear about this fourth book, hopefully not the last in this amazing series, and the engaging mystery woven within it. I highly recommend this Book, The Ring of Eagna and the entirety of The Cross Of Ciaran series to anyone looking for an escape and an adventure!

This was a great read that had me hooked and thinking about who the hell the stalker was all the way through. Keira, the beautiful PR rep and Cade, the ex seal who works security, are fabulous characters who draw you in and leave you truly wanting to see them get their a happy ending. I hope there is more to come from this wonderful author.

Drama. My oh my where to begin. I love mystery and suspense books and this book seemed to fit into that, but it was so much more. This is the first book I have read by Laura Koerber, and I will certainly be looking into more of her work after this little treat. While this book wasn’t exactly what I thought it would be it was a fun little read for a rainy Sunday. Told from several perspectives of the Oaken Acres community we get a well-rounded look at life in the quiet little gated retirement community in Washington state. Instantly I was drawn not only to Jane and Leslie but in some ways truly felt an understanding towards Hazel. Yes, I know things are tense where Hazel is concerned especially when it comes to the garden that she found. That said also have an understanding to how Theresa feels, though I initially strongly disliked her when first starting the book. So many interesting characters and so many different stories and substories that make it easy to envision and feel like you’re there with a bag of popcorn watching the chaos play out. Will Hazel be able to keep her garden plot and the secrets it hides? Can Jane succeed in helping Andrea’s dog not be so lonely? While the world the author places her story is fiction it is reality all over the world. The “gated communities” look appealing, but they are no different than any other neighborhood. With drama, arguing, vengeful dreams played out in our heads, and broken hearts over lonely pets locked alone in garages for days. Not only could I picture this community existing in my own small mountain town, but I could see the characters’ traits in my neighbors. If you like a little mystery, some suspense, a lot of drama and some humor sprinkled in while watching friendships form to get through the pains of being alone this is the book for you. Now I’m off to take a stroll through the rest of this talented author’s work.

I was absolutely thrilled with this fun thriller! I loved Julia as our introvert heroine who is just trying to keep moving forward in life and is so excited to land a job as part of a bio-hazards cleaning crew. I found her to be extremely relatable, she wasn’t brave or butt kicking right off the bat, she had anxiety and fears and even anger about how things were handled in her new job. It was amazing to see her growth throughout the story and I loved the supporting characters. Doyle definitely cracked me up and I loved how caring and protective Karamel, Dawn, Stan, and Detective Ruiz were of Julia. This was definitely a book I couldn’t put down, as the mysteries kept coming, I just couldn’t figure out how things would end. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Wow wow wow!! Talk about a debut….well done so well done. I could not put this book down and I was at the edge of my seat from chapter 1 until the bitter end. This gave me all the feels I love about a book….suspense, danger, intrigue, action and chemistry between two characters that are off the charts. The twists and turns that this story had…..just when I thought I had it all figured out….definite jaw dropping moments. I am already looking forward to more more more!

When he cashes in on an IOU for saving her that night, Wyatt and Serena start up quite an odd friendship. However, there is more at play here…his need to keep a clean image, her sneaky assistant, his uncontrollable mother, and the sliminess of her boss (and his son). The more time they spend together, the closer Wyatt and Serena get. But, as secrets come out, will these two be strong enough to withstand the storm?
I enjoyed these characters…as they balanced each other and evened each other out. I really enjoyed the supporting characters and how they were able to see the good in Wyatt when sometimes he couldn’t see it himself. Meanwhile, Serena had her own problems that Wyatt was able to support her through. They healed each other. It was a good story that I enjoyed reading!

I can’t begin to describe how much I enjoyed this book. It can easily be read as a stand alone, I did and I don’t feel I missed anything which is a tribute to the writer! Vampires still hunting for rogues and the witches that may be helping these rogues causes Campania and Willow to cross paths and phew! The instant chemistry is real. Paranormal romance, fated forbidden mates, and dark romance will have you at the edge of your seat and staying up way too late Well done!

This story is a little bit of what I would consider women’s fiction, but also a generational family saga. I was so drawn in to every individual character in this book, and I felt the author did a tremendous job of writing for every person. Three sisters returned home together, but with their own backstory and each one going through something that the other two sisters don’t know. This story is about how they separately have things they are dealing with, how it forces them to grow up, and help forces them to realize that each of their other sisters also have some thing going on. I found myself laughing multiple times at the sister dynamic and I found myself getting lost in the story. This is my first book by this author and I cannot wait to see what else she has in store.

First off you don’t have to read the others in order for this one to make sense. Though I will say I will be going back to read them.
Scala is investigating a missing woman who has been having an affair with 2 different men. One being a married man. While her husband is in the dark.
Simona had been warned to end the relationship. She was trying to. She was told to end the wrong one. Little did the person know she was having more than one. When she was essentially kidnapped. After her car shows back up at the gas station an investigation that would unfold so many lies, deceit and a whole other life come to light. Turns out marriages weren’t as solid as some were made to believe. Secret documents created to protect others. Two murders connected by one affair.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book as it kept me guessing. Especially with the other crimes coming to light and the reveal of who was behind it all. I could see this as a movie and adding more to the story. Now to read the others because this one was hard to put down!

Alice Feeney is quickly becoming one of my favorite mystery psychological authors. This is the second book that I have read by her and the amount of twists and turns is spectacular. She has a unique way of keeping you on your toes and you don’t see half of them coming.
The cast of characters is significant, and you soon realize that this author is weaving, a tale between friends, spouses, sisters, and much more. You will find your breath catching in your throat throughout this book, and there are so many “say what“ moments. I truly enjoyed the mastery of this story.

The Escape Room was a twisting edge of your seat, classic tale about how far some people will go in the name of money, what it can cost them, and good old-fashioned revenge. This author did a phenomenal job of letting you get inside the head of each of the main characters. You find yourself taking note of the corruption that exists, just how nasty and manipulative people can be, and realizing that everybody has secrets. This story had murder, death, revenge, and secrets galore.
I picked up The Summer Place from my library based off of a recommendation, but I’ll be honest it was not one of my favorite books this year. I found that the authors writing style was very good, it was smooth, and it all flowed very well. I could tell that the author takes great pride in sharing her story which I appreciated. This story was portrayed as being heartfelt and unputdownable. Unfortunately, my experience in reading the story did not feel heartfelt in the least. I found it disappointing that almost every “secret “involved some kind of betrayal or affair. I found it disheartening in more ways than one. I also was not prepared for a same-sex sexual encounter that felt like it was just thrown into the book for no actual good reason. It didn’t feel as if there was any real background or substance to how it came about. Therefore, I don’t feel like it hit the mark that it maybe could have. I found myself not connected to a single character, which is, very odd for me. I was extremely disturbed by the secret that the father of the bride had and the fact that he would just let it go on for over a year instead of dealing with it immediately given the consequences. Overall, I found this book to be an utter disappointment with some questionable, subject matter and storytelling. My review is not based on whether the author writes well she does but this particular story and itself was not my cup of tea. Others may find it wonderful, and it looks like from the review history they do, so I always recommend at least giving it a try and we can your own judgment.

Sallie Kincaid has had to deal with so much. This historical book set in the 20th century is not my usual genre. I found the book intriguing, but it also elicited so many different emotions. It’s hard to think back to a time when women basically had no rights and no say and see what they had to overcome and endure. Sallie, is a dynamic, strong-willed, young lady, who wants more in life than to just be married off. I found myself angry that her father let his new wife ship her off over an accident. Her father Henry, who is referred to as the Duke basically runs the entire county and his family has for years. You discover what I would consider a vile, small minded, egotistical man, who thinks he can do whatever he wants and gets away with it. I loved how Sallie continues to pick her self up off the ground and rebound as one tragedy over another over another continues to happen.
This young lady seems leaps and bounds above in her thinking over most of the men and pretty much all of the women in the story. I found her to be complex, but very believable. I appreciated her pizzazz and her gumption.
I thought that all of the characters in the story were well thought out, were well developed, and each had something remarkable about them self. The story has a lot of tragedy not just for Sally, but for each character involved, and I found myself shaking my head, wondering just how much turmoil one family could handle. I felt that the author did a very good job of dropping bombshell after bombshell throughout the story and you’re not getting them all in one paragraph or one chapter. This was my first book by this author and as a whole I very much enjoyed it. I also found the end result very satisfying in each aspect of the story.

Avery has just found out that she was not the product of a one night stand, but is the daughter of a famous artist father. As if that was not enough to disrupt her life, she also discovers that she has two sisters that she knew nothing about. Avery is forced to go to Magnolia to help clean up her father‘s estate. However, leaving her life that is currently in shambles to take this on, doesn’t bring her much peace. Right from the get-go I like the back-and-forth between Avery and her sister Meredith. You can tell that all three sisters, Avery, Meredith, and Carrie are dealing with this revelation in their own way, and I find it both sad and heartwarming.
Firefighter Gray Atwell is trying to be a good father, but it isn’t easy when you have an ex-wife who seems to care about nothing but herself and a little girl who is probably a little traumatized from it all. Watching his interaction and how he puts Violet’s needs above all else will give you the warm fuzzies.
All Avery wants to do is take care of business and get out of this little town as fast as she can. She’s made no secret that she doesn’t feel a connection to the small town where her birth father comes from and she doesn’t care about what his legacy is, then she begins to feel a tether to this town with no explanation of what is going on. Before she knows it, she’s getting to know people, she is spending time with a hot fireman, she’s making a connection with her sisters, and now a dog.
I found this book, incredibly heartwarming, and very nice read. I would categorize it as family drama and sweet romance. I found myself laughing out loud several times, especially where the three sisters are concerned and they’re quick witted quips at each other as well as physical interaction. I enjoyed the interaction between Avery and Gray as well as Violet . The story came across as quite realistic in many ways, and overall was an easy four star read.

Jennie Copley returns home to Magnolia to celebrate her grandmother’s 90th birthday. However, running into her high school flame Lucas was not part of the plan.
This was an incredibly short story and I think because of that I just found it to be OK. I’m glad that I read The Magnolia Sisters before I read this or might not have read this. It was a very quick read, but I didn’t feel like there was enough history given of any of the characters. For me, the book just felt a little rushed and like I was missing out on so much. Having said that, I highly recommend reading book one the Magnolia Sisters that was a tremendous book.

This book by Alice Freeney is my first one, and it did not let me down. I love a good mystery/thriller book and this story had all of those elements. Bodies seem to be dropping left and right and they are all connected. Everyone has a reason they might be involved in this killing spree. You will find yourself going back-and-forth about who the good guys are, and who the bad guys are. The main female character Anna lived through quite the childhood, but now she’s grown into a professional and a reporter. Is it coincidence that she seems to be at every crime scene? Having to encounter her ex husband, who happens to work for law-enforcement cannot be easy on her, especially given what they have had to overcome. Jack and Anna both have strong reasons to live the life they do. They use multiple things as an outlet for their pain. Wrapped up in the series of murders that are occurring that has brought them temporarily back together you were taken on a journey through each of their perspectives. I thought this author did a wonderful job in every aspect. I liked the way the characters were written, that they showed strengths, and weaknesses. I felt the author did well with the mystery aspect of the story and how it was all tied up was phenomenal. Just when you think you know who did it and why come some of the biggest twists of the story. Looking forward to many more novels by this author.

The Girl in the Leaves is described as a shocking, true crime, story and one that will have you on the edge of your seat. Unfortunately, this story was anything but that. I found the story to be very chaotic, it jumped around a lot, there was not an ounce of it that flowed. This felt less like a story or a book and more like someone just jotting down their journaling. I found it extremely difficult to connect to any part of the book or any part of the characters. I felt that this was more a story being used as maybe be a therapeutic tool , which left me completely disappointed, frustrated, and it made it difficult to charge my way through. If you know going in that this is more of just random things, you may appreciate it and be OK with it. I, however, having read many many true crime books found this one to just be a giant disappointment.

Right in Front of You by Brooke May is the first book in the Morris Valley Gang series. The story revolves around a group of friends who have continued their friendship through the years, even though some have moved away. When Brinley discovers a stalker, she returns to the only place she can think of where she may be safe. Coming back home feels good, but it also has her wondering where her future is and what she wants to do. She meets a rancher named Adrian, who is now part of the tribe that she left behind. I felt that the romance aspect of the story was done very well, and each character was very unique. I love how the author let you get to know each character not just Brinley. In many ways, the story felt a little like the show “Virgin River” how some of the older community people get involved and do a little meddling. I found myself laughing, smiling, and even teary-eyed at some of the moments. I enjoyed each and every character and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens to the rest of the gang.

Keira O’Ryan is a PR rep and she loves her job. She’s works with various entertainers so when a stalker shows up after her, it’s not completely surprising. Not to mention that college ex-boyfriend who got really creepy. After receiving a series of photos on her phone, she starts to become even more alarmed.
Cade Hartford and a few of his retired military buddies run a security firm. He’s recently moved in next door to Keira and senses that something is up with her. When she comes to him confessing the pictures and the strange happenings going on, Cade knows that he has to jump in and do something to be a great neighbor.
There are many things I want to say about this book but I’m not going to say much as to not ruin anything about it. Just know that if you’re into a good psychological thriller, look no further than this book! It kept my attention all afternoon and I read it in one setting. The writing is very well done and the there are a few twists and turns that try to throw the reader off track (as well as the detectives). I did have it figured out pretty early but a few times I questioned whether I was right or not due to the the twists and turns. It wasn’t quite as I suspected though! Buckle up and enjoy this read! I’ve already downloaded the prequel to this book and I look forward to reading it and future books by this author soon!!

What another amazing book to this series and from this author. It filled with so much action, mystery, magic, wonderful story and adventure and characters that you will love and cheer for the whole why thou. When I picked this book up, I was pulled straight back into this series, and this story, right from page one. I couldn’t put this book down. I had to read it till the end. It just reached out and sucked me in from the beginning. The writing and description in this book was so detailed that it makes you feel like you were riding along with Ian and Jarryd and their adventure. This book was exciting to read. This author really knows how to produce a creative and captivating series, I don’t think I’ve missed one of there books yet. I will add you should start this series from the first book thou, it starts right off from where the first one ends.

This is a wonderful story. A high school senior sacrifices her summer and her senior year. Her single mother is suffering a severe depression following an unplanned pregnancy. The heroine experiences judgment from all sides, as people assume she is a young teen mother. There is an evil, conniving, relative who wants to buy the baby brother. There are college applications to complete, and high school heartbreak to avoid. The heroine must make serious and complex decisions for herself, her baby brother, and even her parents as the story unfolds.
I thought the book was going to be a Cozy Mystery, it’s not, you find out who the murderer is instantly. That’s not a bad thing, I really enjoyed the book. I wish things with Hazel would have ended differently, I feel it would have been funny if she was taken to jail. Anyone in a nosey HOA would have loved seeing that. At first I didn’t care for Jane and Leslie but I’m glad to see their friendship, along with Andrea, grow.

Guarding the Cease is the 10th book in this series. I haven’t read the other books, however I was still able to follow the storyline. The world building and characters was well thought out. This book was a page turner for me and read it in 2 days. if you love a good romance book, I highly recommend this book.

Well written book and I loved the character growth! I love when a character eventually grows on me when I didn’t care for them at the start. I was sucked in from the first chapter which made it a quick read for me, because I couldn’t put it down. I honestly think this book is the best of the series that I’ve read so far! Highly recommend! I love a good redemption story!!

Wow, what a ride! I love a good “whodunit” book and this one was phenomenal. When I thought someone was the suspect, I changed my mind to someone else and then it changes again. I loved the suspense and thrill and the writer had a great way of having you remember all the names and characters in this book. There was A LOT of names but I kept on track with them all. That’s a plus, lol. Super fast read because I simply couldn’t put it down. Highly suggest this book!

Jessica Watts had a rough life when growing up. She vows to help others in hopes that they don’t have to experience things that she had to. She’s always wanted to have a family who loved her, but now she is alone except for a few close friends. She is hired to find someone’s daughter and wonders what her life could have been like in their shoes. Once she finds her, she had to decide whether it is better to turn her in, or let her live the life she is now living. It is a great suspense thriller. The author did a great job with Jessica’s character.
