Mr. Wimp (The Human Mating Site Book 1) by B.L. Wilde – Review by Jessica Stone

Well this was a wonderful quick little read!

I lovedddd this book, cannot wait to read the others coming out in this series! I’ve never read anything from this author but I enjoyed this work immensely.

This book was light and airy in some parts and so refreshing, a bit of humor, some sass and some real life drama.
Our main character is going through one here, right off the bat this story just jumps into the drama. Her marriage is “falling apart” her relationship of the last 12 years just ended and the only thing more mortifying to her than saying goodbye to her marriage is being thirty and back in the dating game again. But with the help of some bad ass girlfriends, she might just make it through this. That is if her lying cheating ex husband will stay out of the picture, and if she can find the courage to put herself back out into the world again.

There is very much a spicy little cliff hanger teaser at the end, keeps you wanting more! I’m more than ready to read the next novel!

Disclaimer: please make sure to read Cruel Hate and Cruel Start before reading Cruel Love!
This entire series has quickly become one of my absolute favorites, captivating me completely, and consuming me with so many emotions.
I love how much Phoenix and Aspen grow together in this book, so many things test them and should probably ultimately tear them apart but seeing them open up to each other and learn to trust makes this book even better.

Action adventure
A wonderful fantasy adventure that takes the reader into a multilayered world of mad scientists, elemental powers, pirates, twists and high emotions. With intrigue that builds steadily throughout the book the author executes an original storyline. Recommend.

Wild Lavender (Heart & Hand Series Book 1) by Nicole E. Kelleher – Review by Brandy Rymer

Wild Lavender (Heart & Hand, #1)Wild Lavender by Nicole E. Kelleher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was a great fantasy romance, one of my favorite styles to read. Nicole E. Kelleher has a way with words that paint a picture of excitement, intrigue, and of course romance. The characters of the book are created with expertise, they are so dynamic, that you feel strongly about who you like and who you distrust. This book had me on the edge of my seat, I couldn’t put the book down the second I picked it up, I was encompassed with the characters’ circumstances and needed to know the outcome of their stories. If you love magic, romance, passion, war, and deep storylines then this is the story for you! I am so excited that there is more to come in this story and am looking forward to the next edition to this series.

Cruel Love (Hidden Valley Elite Book 6) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Brandy Rymer

Cruel Love (Hidden Valley Elite #6)Cruel Love by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was just amazing! It gave everything that was promised, passion, fear, tears, laughter, and a happily ever after at the end with a twist that is true to Isla Vaughn’s style! I absolutely love that each book in the series builds upon the books that came before them. There is no doubt where the past main characters are in their lives because they continue to be side characters among the newest mains. This book was one of my favorites so far in this series, why you may ask, because it gives us so much more of a view into the past and ties together mysteries that we have been wondering about for this entire series. There are so many unexpected scenes that entice the reader to continue reading in anxiousness, not knowing what may happen next to the characters. I loved and hated the cliffhanger this book ended with, I am so excited to get the next books in this series and see what the outcome will be! If you have not read any of the other books in this series, stop, go back to the beginning, and start with the prequels, you will be happy that you did! I highly recommend this series to young adults and up, there is mature content in the books, but it’s very toned down compared to a lot of romance books I have read.
