Basil is the only book I’ve read in the Silver Springs series and can be read as a standalone. The book really sucked me in quickly as Basil wakes to find out she is suddenly a vampire. I did struggle to keep interest as Basil is quickly mated to so many and there was a lot of smut and not a whole lot of plot. I say this as someone who enjoys smutty books, it just fell flat at certain points. Overall, I did enjoy reading about Basil’s new life and business in Silver Springs.
