The reader is swept into the world of ballet through the eyes of the main character, Elena. I’m not familiar with ballet, and this this was an interesting story. This cozy mystery is filled with drama, scheming, sabotage, secrets, and a little bit of romance.

The king of Sher proposed to the people that whomever comes up with a fair way to solve the problem of the sheep disappearing – any losing ideas, the person must turn over their most special possession to the king – but the winner will become his advisor! Several community members offer suggestions that don’t work out, and then along comes Wynnie, a young girl from the Kingdom of Mir.
Wynnie is the focus of the story and sets such an awesome example for not being afraid to pursue her ideas, take different approaches to find a solution, and believing in herself! This story proves that we should not discount anyone and their ideas or judge their capabilities. Not only do they solve the issue of lion and the sheep, but they all realize just how many ways each person is special and capable!

Drag and Bridget the two main characters have a lot of deep history and love that goes way back. Drag was betrayed and framed by Bridget and throughout the book doesn’t know the truth. Now after 12 years Bridget needs to team up with Drag and his gang to take town someone before it is to late. This had a lot of loyalty on each side and family like atmosphere when it comes to the main characters when it comes to their gangs. I loved the dual POV and getting to see each side’s feelings towards another after all these years.

This book is a cute book for little kids. The colorful pictures which are beautifully detailed helps keep little ones engaged. This author is our “go-to” author on all kids books. We have some we bought hard copies of too. We definitely loved this one about good fairies, bad fairies and the queen of the fairies.

This is such a lovely retelling of the Lion and the Lamb story and it is written perfectly for children. It is an entertaining and loveable story that subtly teaches kids a great lesson. The way the author brought the characters and the story to life was amazing. Even though it wasn’t aimed at my age range, I found myself enjoying it just as much as my kids. I am sure I have said it about this author before (and will certainly say it again) but this has got to be my favourite book of hers so far. It was delightful to read and I loved the enjoyment my kids got our of it. I would definitely recommend this story.

Stop That Lion: A Tale of Friendship, Love, and Peace by Lois Wickstrom – a favorite children’s author- is such a sweet children’s book! It’s got these gorgeous illustrations that remind me of the stories we used to read when we were little. The story follows Wynnie, this smart girl who wants to help her neighbors in the Kingdom of Mir because their sheep keep disappearing thanks to a sneaky lion.
What’s so cool about this book is how it teaches kids to be creative and think about others. Wynnie doesn’t just sit around—she jumps in to solve the problem, showing kids that they can make a difference no matter how small they are.

I read this to my great nieces and she loved it! She enjoyed Wynnie’s adventure and even came up with her own ideas to help her out. Queen of the Fairies by Lois Wickstrom is a super cute kids’ fantasy story with a twist. It’s all about this young girl who dreams up her own fairy tale, starring the Queen of the Fairies. The illustrations are so bright and colorful, they really make the story pop!
At first, the story might throw you off a bit—it feels like it starts in the middle of things. But as you read on, you get why the author did it that way. It’s like a puzzle that comes together in the end.

Stop that Lion (Kingdom of Mir Series) by Lois Wickstrom. This is by my favorite children’s author and my nephew and I loved it. Its the story of the Kingdom of Sher & the Kingdom of Mir being neighbors and the Kingdom of Sher’s Lion keeps eating the Kingdom of Mir’s sheep. Wynnie a young girl who lives in the Kingdom of Sher tries to find a good solution to this problem. The King of Mir has tasked his citizens with finding a solution to the problem and whoever finds a good solution will be the King’s advisor. There are always lessons to learn in Ms. Wickstrom’s books and the lesson in this one is understanding and learning to listen. The illustrations are beautiful along with the story, its a perfect book for your young kids!

This book hit all the feels for times long past. The beautiful illustrations the real-world lion eats lambs story all gave the feel of classic Disney golden books. Feeding on the reality that children see the world differently was center stage in this book. Crazy how only a little girl thought to ask questions about the situation in hopes of finding a solution that was fair to all. Wonderful book can’t wait for my next Lois Wickstrom book fix.

Honestly, I love every book I read by Lois Wickstrom. They are not only always beautifully illustrated, but they are always considerate and fun to read. The Queen of the Fairies was no different. With the back and forth of what good fairies versus bad fairies would or could do makes growing minds understand in an easy way the difference between good and bad. Also, can’t forget the secret revealed at the end. Always lighthearted and left smiling at the end of this incredible author’s books.

The Borosa Legacy Book 1 is a great read I read with my daughter together and she loved it. Amese is a teen who is about to start her training to become the next potentate but doesn’t seem so sure she wants be the next potentate. Amese takes lessons to change into animal form and live like they do until her lesson is learned and she can return to her body. She has become a pelican, a wolf and a badger One of the conversations with her mother I loved a lot. Her mother told her that if she was going to quit, it needed to be after a good day of training not a bad one. That is was easy to quit when something is hard. Seems like not everyone wants to see her succeed and something is going on. The book was getting good and left us on a cliffhanger. I cant wait for the next book!!

This was a nice children’s book that I could see kids that I teach reading. There is a good message and the illustrations are appealing. It made a difficult topic digestible and understandable for the age target. The description says ages 5-10 but this is something that would be best read together not as an independent read if you are using it as a tool for support. I did appreciate the topic since more and more children are experiencing situations where they are in the care of someone other than their parents.

This is the next addition to the Life is Hell series and while it can be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading the first two books just so you have the background for everyone and so that you understand the whys and whats of the storyline. This is definitely a slow burn and while it wasn’t my favorite of the series so far, Valkyrie definitely knows what she’s doing when it comes to paranormal romances. I really liked getting to know Teivel’s character better…he really intrigued me in the other stories but I felt that his and Oren’s story was rushed in the end. I would have like to seen the ending to their story more developed. It felt a bit thrown together (and personally, I’m not happy about what happens at the end but I won’t spoil it for anyone ;)). As always, I love how Valkyrie continues to incorporate her characters from previous stories and how she teases characters that *might* be coming up in future stories. Isaiah finds himself falling for Sofia while trying recover his memory, can he convince the her he is worth a shot?
Second in the Magical Emerald Hollow series. I was fascinated with Isaiah and his story. Sofia is a bit of handful and it makes for an intriguing character. All the favorites from the first book are in this one. Would be a wonderful read for relaxing outside with a book.
Emotionally delightful romance with a taste of steam. Endearing characters that deserve the HEA.

Another lovely book from this author about caring for cats in the community. This time Oscar and Emmy, and their human family are helping to take care of foster kittens for a local shelter. I don’t think it matter which country you live in there is a huge cat problem from people not neutering their cats at an appropriate age. I myself, in the UK, foster cats/pregnant mum cats and kittens for a local charity so I love that this book is out there for readers to see how important foster work is in the animal sector. The books went through all the responsibilities of looking after kittens and it was written well. The story was accompanied by beautiful illustrations. One thing I will say is do not underestimate the work that goes in hand-rearing kittens – it’s hard work! A great book that’s raising awareness for the need of foster homes for abandoned and stray cats.
This was a really lovely read and one that really did open up my thinking about how children must feel when they are moved around the care system. I really felt for Loris, he was so shut down when he went to his new foster home but thankfully with the help of his new foster brother and sister he was able to see that he was safe now and could finally be himself and help to open his heart to other people around him. There was so much in this story that would be great to talk to the children reading about it – it will definitely help children to empathise with children like Loris. A really good book and one I would recommend.

5 Stars The Winemakers Box Set (The Winemakers Series) by Giovanna Siniscalchi
The Winemakers Box Set is all three books in one amazing set. Know you can read the whole series at one time. I absolutely love Historical Romance and this box set will definitely be on my favorites list. The True Purpose of Vines is the first book in The WineMakers Series and this authors debut novel. I’m a huge fan of Historical Romance and this book is a Historical enemies to lovers that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved everything about this book and actually learned a bit about Portuguese history and wine making. This author knocked it out of the park with this one. Her style of writing and attention to detail is honestly incredible. Her characters are well developed and fun, relatable and easy to fall in love with. This is a story about Julia and Griffin. These two have chemistry between but struggle with finding a way to keep their relationship together and with finding a cure. Get ready to be taken on quite the emotional rollercoaster ride. The Taste of Light is the second book in The Winemakers series and is a wonderfully written Historical Romance about, love, redemption and adventure. I absolutely loved this book and was hooked from the very first page. I had a hard time putting this down and found myself reading late into the night. This is Pedro’s and Anne’s story. Pedro mistook her for someone else and know they find themselves on the run because he being accused of a crime he didn’t commit. Anne sees good in all and fought her attraction to Pedro at first. These two definitely have chemistry between. Can these two have a relationship? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. The Truths about Myths is a wonderfully written Historical Romance/ Enemies to Lover’s Romance that is the third book in The Winemakers Series. The attention to detail along with fully developed characters make the story come to life. I could picture myself right along with them. This is Isabel and Henrique’s story. There’s great chemistry between them . Isabel is a a Portugal Princess and is being sent to Spain by the King. Her Bodyguard is Henrique. She’s a bit set in her ways . Can he help her to cut loose, I don’t want to give away anything. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I highly recommend grabbing this book set especially if you are a Historical Romance Fan.

This is the first book I have read from this author and wow she has a new fan. I love a good spicy story but this author exceeded my expectations. I love reading books from both of the characters’ points of view. It feels like you know the characters on a more personal level. . You can’t help but to fall for both of these characters. They have chemistry that will steam up those pages. I can’t wait to see what she will write next.
Emma just had her heart broken and now she doesn’t want anything serious ever again. She is now just having fun but when she meets the very handsome Liam things start to change. Drag Me Down is the fourth book in the Full Throttle Cyborgs series by Landra Graf. It is another full throttle sci-fi romance brimming with action, super-charged chemistry, plenty of sparks, sizzle, drama, danger, tension, emotion, cyborgs, and so much more. This intriguing plot for revenge that turns enemies into lovers, with a second chance at romance- which definitely dragged me in and had me invested right from the get-go. I love all Ms. Graf’s books, but this is definitely one of my most favourites reads from her. And as with the rest of the series, it gives off a bit of a futuristic ‘Fast and Furious’ vibe. I was a little hesitant on reading this book because i was afraid of it being a chaotic mess with so many “cooks in the kitchen”, BUT, It was really good! You absolutely cannot tell where one author’s part ends and another begins. They managed to make this very seamless and I am impressed. I enjoyed the main characters in this one and the amount of spice was just right for the mood I was in! There was mystery, supense and Paranormal/fantasy element that all made up this romance and it was a very nice book! Fay’s Kindness parade is another book in the Adventures of Cray Children’s book series. Each of the animals are getting their own books and I think they are all such precious stories. I loved how Fay was taking Cray with her on her migration to warmer waters and how even though it was important that they be on their way they didn’t hesitate to stop and help friends along the way. This is a wonderful addition to a great series not to mention informational. The illustrations were colorful and well done. We enjoyed Fay’s Kindness Parade along with the other books in this series.

We have read every book in The Adventures of Cray series and absolutely adore each of them. This one was yet another big hit in my household. I love that it shows that kindness can be similar to the ripple effect or as one of my kids said, like dominoes. Once you perform the first act, it sparks kindness in others and reverberates outward! Both of my kids enjoy the rhyming and kind of dance to the rhythm as we read. The illustrations are always eye-catching, and we definitely spent a good amount of time looking through each picture. Teaching life lessons such as compassion, working together, and helping others is wonderful. We also enjoyed the facts about turtles! I highly recommend having this at home or in the classroom. I have no doubt that it will spark conversations just like it did for us!

Meg grew up with Ryan and she always annoyed him. She came back home to work at her struggling antiques shop, and lives next door to Ryan and his Grandpa. She thinks of his grandpa Hank as her own grandpa and takes on a side project clearing out the shed on the ranch to help get it ready for people to stay there. Ryan is of course against this at first because she gets in the way and distracts him. But he soon realizes that he was just avoiding his true feelings toward Meg by convincing himself she’s a nuisance. Hank also seems to know the two should be together. Meg has some insecurities due to everyone saying she talks too much, but she is bubbly and sunny and compliments Ryan’s grumpiness well, he just needs to stop pushing her away and realize that. Overall it was a cozy and clean grumpy/sunshine small town romance. Looking forward to others from this author.

I don’t know how this author completely knocks it out of the park every single time, but I am here for it! This series is one of my favorites of the year. Teivel and Oren are absolutely incredible in this book. I would recommend picking up the first two books in the series so you can gain all of the background as well as meet the characters and learn their stories. I am a giant fan of dual points of view, and we get plenty of it in this one. Oren and Teivel are my favorites thus far, so I was more than happy to devour this book in a single sitting! Their chemistry is unbelievable and unpredictable. This author is on my favorites list because she never ceases to amaze me! I know that when I see her name on the cover, there’s no doubt in my mind that I’m picking it up and going on a unique adventure. I highly recommend picking this one up (and the first two) and getting lost in this paranormal romance, you won’t regret it!

I had read one book by this author previously, and it left quite the impression on me, so of course I picked this one up without hesitating! I’m a sucker for anything YA including romance which makes this right up my alley. This story pretty much lined up with what I feel like life would be as an actress. The amount of drama, confusion, angst, and jealousy is apparent as Valeria melts into her soap opera role. When you add in seeing your first young love that got away, everything gets even crazier. I enjoyed this clean YA romance if you’re looking for an entertaining afternoon read. You’ll get drawn into the world quickly, and it will be over before you know it!

This is the third installment of the Bold Journeys series, but you can definitely read it as a standalone if you want to jump right in. The author has an incredibly way of not only engaging the reader but handling serious topics while doing so! I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster with some twists and turns along the way. There is definitely a strong romance theme with some steamy scenes, but there is so much more involved. The characters are well-developed and have you invested almost immediately. Barbara is a force to be reckoned with! I absolutely love her tenacity combined with the vulnerability she shows Sebastian. I must have obtained a few of these by now, but Sebastian is my new book boyfriend! You can feel their chemistry leap off the pages, and he’s relatable and compassionate. I recommend picking this up if you’re looking for a book that’s not your average romance novel!
Fay’s Kindness Parade by G Pa Rhymes is a beautiful installment of The Adventures of Cray series. This cute rhyming story is beautifully illustrated. It is also fun, while teaching the importance of kindness and helping others. This is a great story for parents to read to their young children. 5 out of 5 stars!
