A Song of Salt and Secrets (Mythic Academy Collection) by Amanda Marin – Review by Rose McCaskey
A Song of Salt and Secrets by Amanda Marin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This story is a take on the Gods and Goddesses. Corisande is the main character and her best friend Sera. Both are sirens. The explanation for sirens in the story is interesting but I don’t want to give too much away since this is set up like a standalone novella. It takes place at Magwitch Academy, a school for sirens to teach them how to control their powers.
However, they still have accidents which brings in Noah Fisk. Noah is a senior at a school near Magwitch. When Coriande sees Noah for the first time she feels a pull towards him but he doesn’t even know she is there.
I really liked this novella. I haven’t read a whole lot of standalone novellas but I am interested in checking them out now. This book has under 200 pages and is a short read but it is worth the time to check it out.
