Dinopotamus just wants to fit in with the kids and go to school and learn. He follows them to school one day and participates in the class learning sessions. Some things he has to do a little differently because he is different, but he learns new things and looks forward to going to school again tomorrow.
This book subtly focuses on celebrating differences in people. Dinopotamus isn’t able to do things in the same way the school children do but he adapts and finds a way to still participate. The illustrations show a child in a wheelchair, who also has to learn to adapt.
This is a great way to teach children that sometimes learning in different ways is necessary and that it’s also ok! I love how the illustrations look very child-like in terms of the drawings and the crayon colorings.

Like the other books in this series, this book was really well done. I enjoyed the duel POV. The chemistry between Oradea and Natalia was sizzling. It’s a good read and I suggest reading the entire series.

The premise pulled me in…and the story kept me turning the pages!
Dani and Nick were childhood sweethearts. Nick moved away and that was the end of what they had. Now Nick is “Nicki Quick”, the bassist for Moonlight Drive. He is the epitome of an 80’s rockstar…he loves music, drugs, sex, and the groupies. So, when Dani runs away from home and decides to join Moonlight Drive on tour, Nick confuses Dani for another groupie and doesn’t recognize the girl he was in love with years ago. But, Nick isn’t the boy Dani remembers either. Over the course of the story, these two try to reconcile the person they see in front of them with the memories of the past (although it takes a while for Nick to figure it all out).
This story has it all…love, loss, drama, addiction, angst, and healing. If you ever wanted a story with a backstage pass to the world of 80’s rock bands…this is it. I enjoyed the story, even while being frustrated with the main characters. However, the author has the reader feeling like they are right beside the characters…feeling what they are feeling and dealing with what they are dealing with. I enjoyed it!
The Boss of Centocelle is book six in the Detective Scala Murder Mystery series, but can be read as a standalone. If you have read any of the previous books, you know that Det.Scala has a knack for finding trouble, and finding answers. This time around, he is investigating the murders of two cousins who were involved in illegal activities. Will he find the answers he seeks, before the person(s) involved gets to him, or worse, his loved ones? I love how the main character has a relatable vibe to him; he is gritty and raw but also exposes his doubts and insecurities. As with the other books in the series, the plot is well written with twists and turns, lots of action and adventure, and many questions to be answered. I enjoy this author’s writing style and stories as you can breeze through it without even realizing you have. I would recommend reading the previous books as well, even if you read them out of order.

Meal Time at the Zoo: PB&J Cafe’ is a fun kids book by James Williamson. We follow James the monkey butler at the zoo, as he delivers an array of peanut butter sandwiches to the zoo’s residents. Who knew there were so many ways to have a peanut butter sandwich? This book helps children to see the variety in life. All the characters enjoy variations of peanut butter sandwiches with various characters. It is fun to see the types of sandwiches different animals would probably have. This is a fun and original story that small children will enjoy.

Magic. Suppressed powers. War. Troy is Shinree, a slave. The Shinree are forced from birth to take a potion that inhibits their magic. Magic is considered an addiction and Shinree are told they are addicts. From birth Troy was given reprieve from Magic binding potions. Raised as a soldier trained for battle and educated he is sent to the battle lines with the Queen.
This story followed Troy as he was sent on a special mission by the Queen into enemy lines. Troy just wants acceptance and to feel like he belongs in a world that fears his powers. He finds a lot more than he thought he would on his expedition with a group of soldiers who have their own thoughts about him.
I enjoyed reading about Troy and some of his exploits. I recommend giving it a chance and maybe reading the other books with Troy. This is an extension of The Crown of Stones Trilogy so check them out. Troy’s story reminded me of the persecution people face all the time for their differences. It’s a story of finding who you are, your true purpose, and finding your place with people who fear and hate who you are.

This is the 5th book in the Life is Hell series by Naomi Valkyrie. We finally get to learn more about Jezebel and Hadassah, Malakhi’s angel sister. After helping her brother save a demon, she get exiled to Earth and has to put up with his new family. Trying not to upset her brother, she attempts to make friends. Thinking Jezebel is the least annoying, she settles for her. Only she gets more than she bargained for! Now they are on the run from Jezebel’s past together and Hadassah is starting to have feelings. I loved this whole series and probably this book the most. I really hope she writes yet another book about Juniper Lake and all our friends there. You can read this story alone, but I highly recommend you read them in order and learn to love each character as I have.

Not So Little Things by Kyle Ann Robertson Narrated by Carrie Brewer This was a new author and narrator for me. I absolutely was not expecting how great and interesting this story played out. I enjoyed the “Little Rooms” and Quote wall. The twists in the truths coming to light brilliant. I’m definitely putting this author on my to be read list. Carrie Brewer really brought this story to life with her narration. It was very soothing to listen to.

This was a great picture book. I love peanut butter and jelly even as a grown up. The rhyming words made the story more like a song which little ones will love. The illustrations were fun and vibrant. I can’t wait to read this one to my grandson.

Master Oradea is the Master for the Oradea area of the Consulate and he is on the hunt, hunting for a traitor of the highest order who has gone rogue and betrayed the Masters and Overmaster Descallia has put him in charge of this race to get ahead and find out where the traitor and the other rogues are so that they can wipe them from the earth before they destroy life as the vampires know it. Meanwhile, Oradea is checking in with his lords and soldiers on the ground and making sure that they are all listening out for rumours, hints and sightings of the rogues, however, on one particular trip to one of his clubs, he runs into a red headed beauty who immediately draws his attention, however, he has too much on his plate to think about women.
Things do not go to plan however, when the rogue turns up at his club and threatens him, this is followed by a report that later on, one of his minions threatened the red head and her entire family, so Oradea decides to take her safety into his own hands, her family however are not in the slightest bit happy with this scenario and throw up every objection they can find, until they reluctantly admit that her staying with Master Oradea is the best option. Master Oradea knows he has to move fast when there is a sighting of the rogue factions, however, what he doesn’t expect is that his red headed enchantress has powers of her own and when this is found out, she becomes an even larger target, but will their budding attraction be able to handle the biggest war between the factions of the vampires, witches, shifters and rogues, or will destiny be foiled by those he was betrayed by? As lines are drawn and loyalties tested, blood will be spilt, but whose is the question, and will destiny show them the way or will this race against time to secure secrets and lives become a more prolonged affair than any of the Masters anticipated as you race along on this fast paced and action-packed addition to this darkly romantic series.

Dinopotamus Goes to School is a cute children’s book that children ages 4-8 will enjoy reading. My son is six years old and absolutely loved this book. He loves dinosaurs and was super excited about Dinopotamus and going to school. This author never ceases to amaze me with her creative characters and colorful illustrations that make the story come to life. Dinopotamus shows children that not everyone is same and that’s OK. I highly recommend reading this book and we look forward to reading more from this Author.

This book was so good. It is the second book of the series, but it can be read as a stand alone. This story is about Jack and Mariella coming to America. Once the settled in New Jersey, it showed the difficulties they went through being in a new country. Need to go and read the first book.

I read this book with my seven year old son. We both enjoyed it very much. The illustrations are adorable, bright and colorful. The story is cute, rhythmic and funny. Master Oradea is the 10th book in the Masters of the Consulate series. This edition is a dark vampire romance between Master Oradea and Natalia, the sister of a non-vampire mafia group. Once again the masters and their mates are fighting witches and rouges who are trying to go back to living the old way, hurting humans. Natalia’s life is threatened by rouges and Master Oradea offers to be her protection. The two of them have an instant attraction and realize something is weird when they can hear each other’s thoughts. She only believes herself to be human so she doesn’t understand how this is possible. The problem is that her brothers do not trust anyone with their sister but they cannot protect her the way Master Oradea can. Master Oradea and Natalia find trust in each other to fight the battle, while also fighting their feelings. Will they give into attraction even when their beliefs are on different paths? Can they find common ground? These books are always a quick read. I will say that the same plot line is technically the same in each of the books, just with different characters. As for the characters, they were good. I did like that they were straight to the point in what each of them wanted, you could see the quick development of feelings, and I enjoyed Natalia’s courage throughout. I have read all 10 in the series so far, so there is no reason to stop now. However, I will say that if you read this thinking you were getting a dark romance, it is not that dark.

I loved so much about this story! It started with the dedication! Then the whole meet-cute!?! Adorable and very funny! Add in a determined and dedicated firefighter who has a killer smile. Some sizzling chemistry too. Secondary characters that are “the Bomb”! The author setting us up for the next couple books….I can’t wait for more!
This is the perfect sized book. It’s funny, honest and has delightful moments between the two MC. It is relatively low on drama although I figured more would have happened with the whole ranch thing. It has a nice build of characters who are easy to like. As I said I look forward to more especially seeing how one pair has such fire between them.

From the start to finish, this book is very well put together. There is just enough romance and action to keep the reader intrigued. I love how the author intertwines each main character, Vivian and Arrow, in the story. They are in the same social circles without realizing it. I especially like how the characters grow with each other, emotionally and mentally. I highly recommend reading this book.

There is honestly nothing this inspiring author can’t do. Not only did Lois Wickstrom write this book but she illustrated it also. The illustrations show kids that they can draw their own stories too. My seven-year-old instantly started trying to draw his own Dinopotamus, as soon as we finished the book only, he made it green, his favorite color. An easy-to-read story about acceptance, kindness, and friendship as they all learn together.

This was such a unique children’s book! It sparks creativity and wonder. This would be a perfect book for a little girl dreaming of being a cowgirl or any child interested in farm life. This is the 10th book in the Master of Consulate series. This is a great series with a paranormal romance element as well as the underlaying story of the war between the Masters and the rouges which runs through each of the books. Each book focuses on a different couple, however I personally recommend reading them in order so you get a complete sense of the story, why the war is happening and how each person fits into it. This is a story of danger, romance, fated mates, vampires, warewolves, witches and a fight that seems like it is never going to end. In this story we meet Master Oradea and Natalia Benzini’s story. New children’s author to me and LOVE his work already. Fun beautiful illustrations and fun rhymes make this James Williamson an instant hit for the whole family. My seven-year-old loved the unique ways everyone loves the same food but in their own way. He likes his PB & J by itself, but I like mine with Doritos, but only the original nacho cheese ones. How do you like your PB & J? I can’t wait to read more of this talented author’s other books with my son.
