That being said it is a really good book about complicated family dynamics and how it shaped the individuals. For readers who enjoy psychological thrillers this is a book for you. It has you questioning the age old question of ‘nature vs nurture’. In this book you can see both play out as it tells the tale of twin brothers from adolescence into adulthood. I was rooting for the protagonist, Gavin, while wanting to rescue him, from his family and himself. I found myself wanting redemption for many of the characters, you do not always get what you want. This book is a page turner and really hard to put down once you start. If you are fascinated by the story and wanting more, the nice thing is that there is a second book, What Lies Buried. I recommend the read if you can handle the subject matter.
