Finding Love (Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy Book 2) by Julie Navickas – Review by Shea Gilkerson 7/11/24
Finding Love by Julie Navickas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
We met Rachel and her boyfriend Ian in book 1, while her brother Ryan was handling meeting the love of his life. In book 2, we meet her again after she and Ian have broken up. Her history with men is abysmal, but she still holds out hope. In an effort to get back in the saddle, she agrees to a meet up, but he doesn’t show. When Miguel spies her at Pier Ninety-Two after being stood up, he offers to cook her dinner and they share a few bottles of wine while their attraction to and chemistry with one another grows throughout the evening. After going back to Miguel’s place together, they are both forced to confront themselves and their own emotions and pasts to see if there’s really a chance for them.
As in book 1, the character building is fantastic and the books are quick reads full of people and interactions that seem familiar. Lots of emotions, plenty of chemistry, nice heat between the two of them. Great reactions between characters and laugh out loud moments. Looking forward to book 3.
