Rock Crush and Roll was a cute, sexy read with two loveable but flawed main characters.
Tyler and Cary have known each other since high school. Both had crushes on each other, but each thought they never had a chance with the other. Fifteen years have passed. Tyler is a music manager, and Cary is the world-famous rock star, her company’s biggest client.
One random day, they run into each other in the office, and an afternoon of coffee becomes more. Tyler has sworn off dating musicians, and she isn’t sure how she feels about Cary’s fame and how that will affect their relationship. To complicate matters, she has the sleaziest boss, who has taken advantage of her for years. She yearns to branch out independently, but how will that affect her budding relationship with Cary? Cary isn’t about to give up on Tyler. He has waited too long to finally get “his girl.”
Tyler and Cary each lend their voices to the story through their own chapters. I enjoyed seeing their innermost thoughts and insecurities, which added dimension to their characters and made them relatable. It was enjoyable watching their road to happiness. The ending was fantastic, and I loved the addition of Tyler’s fur baby, Rory. I’m looking forward to reading more from Hunter Snow.

Have you ever felt you just didn’t meet your family’s expectations? Well that’s how Paige feels when her acting job is put on hold. Now she is out looking for another job. One her family calls a real job. Then there’s her love life, it’s in shambles as well. But just as things begin to look up, everything she thought she wanted has changed. This story is her journey. The author may be new to me but she soon was added to my list of favorites. Her writing is clear, fast paced and easy to follow. Our teens will love this story as well. The characters are interesting and so very different at the same time. Acting, hockey and music make for a grand romance. I really enjoyed reading this story.

What a beautiful book. I love that Andrew’s family explains that the armor of God is like that of the arm you are putting on physically. You can still be courageous and brave as a God’s warrior. Having his old armor passed down to his own child is so sweet and he can teach his son the lessons his dad taught him about God. I love reading about the armor of God and teaching it to children early on is a wonderful idea.
I am so obsessed with the visuals in this book. The art is so beautiful I spent a good minute on each page to really take it in. I love that this book is geared towards the ABC at a higher level of learning. The end has a definition for each word learned and that makes it so much more fantastic. I learned what hirsute means! Absolutely fantastic book!

Ian Troy is a ‘Shinree’ (witch), whose whole existence is frowned upon. The Shinree’s magic, considered dangerous was shut down by feeding them drugs. Ian was not one of them. The desire to cast was strong within him but he refused until he found an ancient artifact, the Crown of Stones. With a war raging on for a very long time, Ian felt as if magic will solve it. With power emanating from the Crown, Ian gives in and cast a spell to end the war. Unfortunately, all magic comes with a price and the price was steep.
BOOK ONE: MAGIC PRICE This book had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The author was very detail oriented. It was as if I was in the world myself. Pack filled with action, you will not regret this adventure.
BOOK TWO: MAGIC SCARS I have been in love with this author since I read another one of their series called ‘Nite Fire’. I really enjoy this author’s writing. They are very focused and show a lot of attention and care with everything they write. Each character comes to life and the writing style in all of their books makes you lose yourself in the fantasy world. This book was no different. I enjoyed this book a little more than the first as it was more dark and twisted. I would highly recommend this book and anything else this author writes!
BOOK THREE: MAGIC BORNE I loved the previous two books of the series and I did enjoy this one but I must admit, it was my least favorite of the three. The first two books gave me Witcher vibes while this one is too different. I found it hard to follow along during some scenes of time travel. That’s the only downside in my opinion.
The trilogy is amazing. The author wrote Ian with such depth and intensity that I have no idea how he managed to endure everything he went through. I am sad to see it end. I was introduced to this author’s books a couple years ago and I am so happy to go through this journey from start to finish. You can tell the author puts their heart and soul into the writing making the characters become more real.

This story follows a boy and his dog, specifically when the problem of a flea is introduced into the mix. Everything becomes more complicated when one remedy doesn’t work and friends come to help. I appreciate how the author went about telling an enjoyable story while also teaching about not jumping to conclusions. The colors and illustrations are fun and not overdone, stimulating the imagination while also reflecting the story. The story was short and easy to read as well as informative, perfect for kids!

Another gripping thriller in this exciting series which once again had me hooked throughout. Oceanographer Alexis takes a dive with a school of basking sharks, but discovers a sunken motorboat. The boat has a lethal bio-engineered algae specimen on board which could contaminate freshwater sources. When Alexis becomes a target of a ruthless enemy she in lists the help of her friend and former Navy SEAL Seb Tremblay. The pair work on finding away of neutralising the algae whilst being hunted by a powerful enemy with vast resources. In order to protect the planets most vital resource and prevent global chaos Alexis and Seb must be prepared to make sacrifices. This was a real fast paced, page turner with an action-packed storyline and plenty of plot twists which kept me turning the pages. Both the characters and the Florida Keys setting came to life through the descriptive narrative which made me feel immersed in the story. Although it’s part of a series with an overarching conspiracy plot and a crossover of characters, it can be read as a standalone novel. I thoroughly enjoyed this story which had drama, suspense, romance and humour.

I absolutely loved each one of these books in this series, I read them over the last few years, and they are still a favorite that I really enjoy. Also, you should read them in order because there is a lot in the book on why and how the world became the way it is and if you don’t read them in order, you will get lost.
Magic-Price: Reviewed on November 28, 2021 OMG were to start with this book. This book literally had everything, from magic, betrayal, loyalty, love, guilty, it had all the feelings in this book. Ian is an amazing character that it was hard for me not to root for him. it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through that I couldn’t put it down. The situations that happen you really have to wonder if they would be able to get out of it. How it seems like everyone in the world hates him, but he still does the best that he thinks he can. I really enjoyed this book, it was very well written, and I can’t wait to read more from this. I might even read this one again. Magic-Scars: Reviewed on August 23, 2022 This is book two and honestly, I couldn’t have enjoyed it anymore then the first one. It starts off right away with not even remembering what was going on. And when troy finally starts to remember, he try’s very hard to put it all together. The author wrote this incredible book of kings, fighters, magic, betrayal, war, evil, and so much more that I could not put it down and just had to read to know what was going to happen to our wonderful characters. Magic users in this book use to be the ones that ruled, but people got scared and so they feared the Shinree and tried to do anything to control them, including drugging them. This book kept me reading and, on my seat, the whole time. But so did the first book in this amazing trilogy. Can’t wait to read book three to know what will happen. Great book, recommend.

This book was incredibly hard to put down. I felt like I couldn’t read it fast enough to know what was going to happen. The characters in this book were super relatable and well developed I almost felt like I know who they were and that they were real people. The story line flowed very well and went well together that it was easy to follow. There was just enough twists and turns into the book that it really kept me guessing into what was going to happen. Gillian would do anything for her brother, so when he falls ill to the sweeping illness that sweeps over the land, Gillian gets prepared to do anything to help him and bring him back to good health, even if that means to enter the forbidden shadowlands. This story really put a twist to the little red riding fairy tale, but it’s filled with so much adventure, twists and turns, witches, magic, action, dragons, fairy tales was an incredible read, highly recommended.

Another great book by this author. I couldn’t wait to read it, and I’m so glad I did! Paige wants to be an actor and have a successful relationship with her hopeful rockstar boyfriend. She also doesn’t want to disappoint her grandmother, so she struggles with whether or not to change careers. Can Paige ever have peace and happiness? I read this book without reading book one in the series. It makes me want to go back and read book one, however, I was able to enjoy this book on its own. I love the characters in this book! Paige is genuine and likeable. She has real dilemmas. I think anyone who has suffered a close loss can relate to Paige’s indecisiveness as she learns to navigate the world without one of her close friends. I love her remaining group of friends who give real, tough advice instead of blindly following every twist and turn in Paige’s life. I appreciate that there are no graphic sexual scenes and the focus is more on the relationships between Paige and her love interests. I also was very happy with the ending. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This is a book by an author I haven’t read before. It’s a great book based on the lost city of Atlantis and a portal that brings Andrea, to another civilization. Andrea has been planning on opening the portal since she was a child and found an ancient book that explains how the portal works. Although Andrea isn’t sure how she may get back to Earth, she is excited to have made it through the portal. This sci-fi story has danger, romance, and uncertainty. The characters are easy to connect to and world created by the author is amazing.

A fantastic read with Brilliantly done characters, twisting and turning plot with vivid imagination and descriptions. So well done.

Magic-Price 4 stars Read in 2023 In book 1 of this series, the reader is introduced to Ian Troy, a self-imposed exile. He’s a Shinree and those of his kind are drawn to magic. They become addicted to the use of magic. Ian is different though, after a tragic event changes the course of his life forever.
This book is full of adventure, mystery, magic, and so much more. I loved the character Malaq as he brought some levity to the story.
Magic-Scars 4 stars Read in 2023 It’s two years later and Ian Troy wakes up in a prison cell. He’s been tortured and drugged, all to keep him from using his magic. Little did he know the price he’d have to pay for all this magic!! There are a lot of people wanting or needing him to be free so he’s not without some help.
I struggle to write reviews on epic books because I never want to give anything away. Just know that you should read this but be prepared for the journey ahead!

This book features elements of time travel and hallucinations. I find that difficult to process when reading (or even in watching something). I struggled with keeping up with aspects of the story for this reason.
This is a series that definitely needs to be read in order as there is too much information carried over from previous books in this series. Fantasy adventure readers will love this series and hope for more!

This box set includes The Crown of Stones, Magic-Price, The Crown of Stones, Magic- Scars, and The Crown of Stones, Magic- Borne. Each book needs to be read in order. This series is an exciting adventure in a fantasy world.
The Shinree people are living as slaves. Their magic suppressed and their minds being drugged by the Langorians. However, Ian Troy, also a Shinree, is a soldier on the run. After using his magic during a war, and killing everyone, he was exiled from the city of Rella. He is able to suppress his magic because he knows when he releases a spell everyone and everything around him, for miles, is killed. One day Troy is unable to suppress his magic, almost as if he is being controlled by an outside force. And this begins his adventure to find out just what the heck is going on. Some people try to bring him to their King or Queen, while others just try to kill him.
There are many characters introduced throughout this story. Some are just talked about in the past tense as there are many deaths in this story. Troy, Malaq, Sienn and Draken are just a few who seem to be important to the survival of all humankind.
The second book in this series is The Crown of Stones-Magic Scars. The adventure continues with Ian Troy leading the fight for good. Although, in this book, he doesn’t remember who or what he is. After being in prison for two years and on the drug, Kayn’l, that all Shinree are forced to take, he is still just a shell of a man. Slowly Ian learns of his fate and his purpose: to free his people and help build a new kingdom, where everyone can be free and live in peace. (Sounds like what we need in the real world!) In order to do this, he must remember what happened to the Crown of Stones magic. At the same time, he must prevent the bad guys from figuring it out first.
Magic Borne is the third and final book about Ian Troy and his adventure to save his people from evil leaders and suppressed magic. It seems throughout the three books, when one leader was defeated another, meaner one took over. Unfortunately, the evil leader this time is Troy’s own father, Jem Reth. Reth wants to make all people slaves to him. Ian faces many challenges while trying to figure out how to defeat his father. During this story Troy continues to struggle while controlling his magic.
This story includes all the components of a great book. Hot steamy romance, fighting, magic, adventure and great writing! The characters, while in a fantasy world, still had feelings and thoughts, sometimes even deep thoughts. Ian, being the main character, shows the most growth with his life and sacrifices.
“Like my magic and my scars, the past and future are a part of me. I’ll always carry their weight. But I think it’s time I try living in the present for a while.”
This was a great conclusion to this series and even though it’s a long story like the first two, the excitement and adventure makes the pages fly by. I recommend this book, this series and this author, especially to those readers who love fantasy adventures. Schneider has created a world full of control, greed and power-hungry rulers. Even though I don’t usually read fantasy stories, I’m glad I read this one.

This is an epic series that you won’t regret adding to your collection!
Magic-Price: Ian Troy is a man that was raised to have no conscience and when his magic takes a tragic turn, he suddenly finds one. Unfortunately for him, he spends the next 10 years’ time on regret, shame, and suppressing his magic. With a past enemy rising to power seemingly overnight, he struggles with keeping his magic under control while trying to keep Rella, the country he was raised to protect, safe. As he begins the trek to save what he was raised to protect, he finds out that everything is not always as it seems. Much of his past is a lie and secrets are revealed! Will he figure out who he is and what he can do in time to save Rella?
I enjoyed this read. At times, I felt like there was a lot going on. However, I feel like the author did an excellent job in world building and weaving in its backstory throughout the story. I enjoyed how she wove together the relationships between characters. I appreciated how I didn’t always see the twists and turns coming, too. This was an excellent beginning to what promises to be an epic trilogy! Looking forward to book 2!
Magic-Scars: Ian Troy has been captured, tortured, and drugged. The king and his father are at the center of him forgetting who he is and what all he has done. After he’s rescued and presumed dead by the latter, he slowly comes back to himself and what he finds isn’t to his liking. He has to come to terms with the things that he has done and also what has been done to him in order to find the power within himself to thwart the king and his father’s evil plans. Can he find his friends and keep them safe before they can be used against him? Can he find out how to harness the power of the crown of stones before his father?
This is a pretty intense book. Ian does some really awful things. Granted, some of them are not completely his fault, but he still has to pay the price of them. I feel like the author did a good job of walking him through coming to terms with who he is and what he’s done. He had to make some hard choices and pay for them. In a world where everyone seems to be out for themselves, Ian Troy seems to always be thinking of others more than himself. Thankfully, he has loyal friends that stick with him through the horror and violence.
Just so other readers know, there are several scenes that are explicit.
Magic-Borne: Ian Troy has taken the power of the crown into himself to keep his father from using it against the realm. As he continues to figure out the cost of that decision, he is faced with a dire vision of a future he’s not sure he can change. However, to save those he loves, he will do what it takes to see peace. Or will he? Inevitably he and his friends face death and destruction in the final showdown with his father. Will the cost be too great for Ian? Or will peace finally reign? This was the final book in this series of Ian Troy and The Crown of Stones. It was a good closing to an epic ride, but also left it open for the next series to spin off. Ian’s sacrificial love for those who are part of his inner circle, is that of deep familial love. He drew people from different backgrounds together and built a chosen family that fought and sacrificed for each other. There were times that he was surprised that others would take up for him, even though he would -without question- stand for them. I think a lot of people think the same way. We would sacrifice for the ones we love but are surprised when they choose to do the same for us. I enjoyed this series. I was a little sad that it was the ending, but then happily surprised to find out that there is a spin off in the works!

The Predator Series continues with Wildfire Knockout. This novella is a quick read and oh so good! Beth and Scott finally become friends, but the real question is can they become more. Finding the one can be easy, healing is the hard part.
This author continues to bring us into her world, where the tough, sexy women don’t really need rescuing, but the helpful, sexy men sure don’t hurt. This story was easy to read just like the first two before it and since this is book three in the series, it must be read in order.

This is the first book in the Half Moon Bay series. This is a contemporary romance which has lots of twists and turns, angst, slow burn romance and finding love when you least expect it. This was definately a book I would enjoy curled up on a beach somewhere. Once I started it I was transported to the beautiful setting of white beaches and blue seas.
Hope thinks her life is good until her boyfriend leaves her because she is predictable. Hope has never really taken a risk in her life so when her sister tells her about a raffle to win a scuba resort Hope thinks it’s a joke. I mean it’s not like she will win right?
But that is exactly what happens and now Hope finds herself leaving her old life behind and setting off somewhere new to start and run her resort. However she doesn’t have a clue on how to run a scuba resort. She needs help and that comes in the form of scuba diving instructor Alex.
Alex sees that Hope needs help and he’s only to happy to help her find her feet. But when the chemistry between them starts to become too much can they resist the pull. Especially when fate keeps dragging them back together. Both Hope and Alex have scars from their past but can they both be brave enough to realise that their way forward could be with each other?
I loved both Hope and Alex. They both have their own demons from their pasts but when they are together all that seems to fade into the background. You can’t help be captivated by their story and wishing for their happy ever after.

This book is part of the Demented Souls Series and tells the story of Malice. Recently just left the Army, he is working in a ranch. The men in this series, take a no nonsense, alpha-male attitude but really, he is a caring and the guys in the group are just like brothers. Malice is in a Diner when he meet’s Bonnie. She has come out of an abusive relationship, but her ex cannot understand why they are no longer together. Something happens with her ex whilst they are in there and Malice goes to protect her. Escorting her out, he gives her his phone number, just in case she needs anymore help.
This then begins an undeniable chemistry and where the story begins! It is a wonderful story and it kept me reading page after page. I have not read the books before this, but I am now looking forward to having a binge on all of them! I enjoyed the story, learning about Malice and the MC Biker Group. Would 100% recommend this if you love Romance, Drama and Suspense.

The rebirth is a compelling exploration of Planet Amazon, where Andrea Staton has dedicated her career to finding a hidden doorway Earth to the planet Amazon.. The narrative takes us on a journey through the planets and tto deal with the men on this planet, becoming a warrior. It is keeping readers engaged with its rich character development and immersive storytelling. The protagonist, Andrea, is a well-crafted character whose struggles and triumphs resonate deeply. The author masterfully weaves themes of Science Fiction, Drama and suspense, making the story not only entertaining but also thought-provoking.
The author’s use of world building enhances the reading experience, inviting readers to reflect on the medieval society, that fights with sword and staff, was in place of the advanced society she was hoping for. However, these minor flaws do not detract from the overall impact of the story. In conclusion, Rebirth is a must-read for anyone who enjoys Spaceships, romance, ancient technology and male slaves! This book leaves a lasting impression and prompts readers to ponder its themes long after the last page is turned.
I highly recommend it to and Sc-fi fans!

Alexis is out diving when she spots the “ ordinary” which is ocean life and the “ unordinary” an algae , it’s no ordinary algae and it’s effects can be devastating to mankind and now she’s under the radar of the “ creators” of this bio engineered algae , she’s in danger and these people are ruthless …
What they didn’t bank on is Seb , her former Navy Seal friend and man he’s all alpha and had he weak at the knees 🙈and one would think that because they’re trying to save humanity they’d have support but the bad guys seem to one up them the whole time but fear not good will always overcome evil 😉
While the fight to save mankind was going on there was also the battle of the heart which did break the tension a little and it was a good distraction from the heart racing tension 🥰
It can be read as a stand-alone but I highly recommend you read the entire series for a fuller experience 😉
Neferet, Bener’ib and Mut-Tuy are back with another mystery to solve and this time it is closer to home, because Neferet’s Uncle Pipi has gotten involved in a get rich quick scheme, it is a chariot workshop which wants to expand and he is an investor, unfortunately, he is on trouble because the payments keep increasing and he starts to be unable to afford it and is scared.
This is where the other investors start dying and this terrifies Pipi and the rest of the family, especially when it becomes clear that there are some unsavoury characters behind the scheme and things begin to go wrong. As usual, an investigation starts and Neferet becomes embroiled in the scheme herself, but can she and her band of teenage investigators figure out who is behind the chariot workshop pyramid scheme before anyone else is killed, or will this be their last investigation?
This is a historical murder mystery where danger lurks around every corner and emotions run high when money, chariots and two young sunets become involved.
This is an important edition and a reminder that our furry family members should go to the vet not only when they’re sick but for regular checkups , vaccines, grooming and dentistry!
I loved that we got the pet’s perspective and that there are ways suggest to calm not only the little furry friends but also the family members 🥰🐾
Again , the illustrations are magnificent!
Everly library , rescue centre , SPCA and vet should have this series on hand …. My humble option ❣️📚🐾

This time round Oscar and Emmy have to stay with grandma as the family is going on holiday , they’re actually quite fortunate to have her as a sitter and that that don’t have to go to a kitty hotel or a kennel 🥰 but there’s still a few things to take into consideration….
The term pet sitter is so well explained and it gives a good understanding of what it actually entails both for the sitter and the pet . Yes it’s fun to have furry friends but it’s a big responsibility and one needs to know what to do especially if there’s a need for medical care .. but rest assured Grandma , Oscar and Emmy has a good time and everyone is safe and loved 🥰🐾

Gaelan Erceldoune is an alchemist and is part of the scientific circles of Victorian London in which he meets fellow scientist Simon Bell, so when Simon’s wife falls ill with cancer and no other medical interventions working, he goes to see Gaelan who provides him with a last resort potion, however, it doesn’t work and a distraught Simon drinks what is left in hopes of joining his deceased wife.
Unfortunately for Simon, this doesn’t work and he wakes up a few days later and finds that he is changed and is no longer able to die! Fast forward five years and he hears of a patient in Bedlam, a hospital for the mentally infirm who resembles his own situation, however, when he finds out it is Gaelan, he is determined to ask questions and so he enacts a daring rescue.
As the years pass and the two physicians fall into a cycle of daily life, a pharmaceutical firm, Transdiff Genomics come across some diaries buried in what used to be Bedlam, and they begin to put prices together which should never have been unearthed and so Simon, Gaelan and a disgruntled Transdiff employee who questions their morals Dr Anne Shawe have to work together to stop certain information from landing in the wrong hands.
Can the intrepid trio do this all while Gaelan and Anne try to deny a growing attraction, or will life be changed forever more? This is a historical fiction which has some roots in reality, while creating fantastical elements throughout which will keep you on your toes throughout.

The Rebirth Part One: Aliens and Royalty is the first part of the Planet Amazon series, written by Crystal Dawn. This was such an interesting and intriguing sci-fi romance with tons of adventure and so much more. A wonderful and original spin on both the Atlantis and the Amazonian Mythologies. I breezed through this book, reading any chance I got because I just had to know how it progressed. Crystal is a new author to me, but one I will be looking out for from now on!

Andrew’s Armor by Jill Monaco is a cute, faith-based, and inspirational story aimed at children aged 4 to 10 years. The story is accompanied by sweet, colourful, and engaging illustrations which really help fire the imagination and bring the story to life. Andrew loves to dress in his armor and play with his friends- setting off on many adventures… but what happens when his confidence is challenged? He is about to learn some valuable lessons- While the story and illustrations were quite well done, I did notice that due to the illustrations being quite bright and detailed, and taking up the whole page in most instances, that the text/written story should have been a bit larger and darker/bolder so it can be more easily read -> because as it stands, the writing is quite faint compared to the images and at times ‘disappears’ into the illustrations/background- which could make it difficult to read for little ones, or at bedtime in dimmer light. But, it is a cute little adventure story with some important messages and lessons. Happy Reading…

Offsides is the third book in the Game Time Series by Tam DeRudder Jackson. It is a steamy NA sports romance, with angst, drama, emotion, chemistry, sparks, tension, and how love finds a way. This series revolves around the Wildcats football team, and this time it is Finn McCabe and Chessly Clarke’s turn. Theirs is a bit of an angsty and bumpy ride- as Finn fumbles the play and has to work for a second chance. What happens makes for an angsty read- but with some sweet, tender scenes, some emotion, steam, and just enough fun to keep things very engaging. Happy Reading…

The Apothecary’s Curse starts out a bit slow but once you get invested in Gaelan and Simon’s life you can’t put it down. Gaelan has had an interesting life due to making a potion that has cursed him with immorality (and fast regeneration). Simon only wants to cure his wife of cancer but instead he is granted immortality instead of death. The book deals with many different time periods that all tie together wonderfully to give an exciting and refreshing story. At first I found it to be a bit confusing but once I started to put the pieces together I could not put it down. I felt a hint of ‘Interview with a Vampire’ feel to if due to the immorality factor. Instead this focuses on apothecary/ alchemy with a hint of the elixir of life or the alchemists stone. The ending is left open for another book which I anxiously wish to read!
