Every book in this series just hits the spot. As with the rest of this series, I love the mixture of historical fiction, detective mystery, and more directed at YA. The suspense, the characters, the crime aspects all make for a thrilling read every time. I really didn’t know what was going to happen and the pacing just keeps moving so this felt like a quick read. Highly recommend picking up all the books in this series, but even just this one for the fun of it all.
Chessly wonders of her path in life and although all her friends are pairing off with athletes she would rather not go in that direction but then is Finn. Finn is not what you see although a footballer he is more than that, with his intelligence and just a nice guy but his taste in woman sometimes could use a makeover he is sweet.
Finn is not your typical football star, he is a little awkward and a geek but when it comes to the opposite sex he is clueless. He is never far away from girl’s attentions but the only one he really wants sees him definitely in the friends zone for the time being. So when he offers Chessly a ride home and things are looking good in steps “the mean girls” who totally trash all over things. Can Finn get to have a second chance and show Chess that she is the right one for him?
This is a lovely story of two people right for each other clueless about each other and then a sweet ending that has you heart just breaking. Finn’s character although is a football star is sweet and nice with elements of sexy nerd coming through. I also love the way that his character is portraited as completely rounded and has no ego at all. Chessly’s character was a great compliment to Finn’s but at times I did feel her a little over opinionated regarding certain things but maybe that’s just because she was not mature enough to deal with the situations.
All in all the book flowed really well and the arc of the story had a gentle build up which was a pleasure to read. The chemistry from the characters was just lovely and the secondary characters added the overall story really well.
I can’t wait to read the next instalment in this series.

Chara is a waitress in one of the Masters club but is a bit of a handful but when she discovers something which could help the Consulate no-one is willing to take her seriously enough to heed the warning, but when she is in front of Master Bistrita there is just something about him which drives her to distraction.
Master Bistrita is the same as all the other Consulate masters, alpha and dominate through and through but when he meets Chara he is so attracted to her can he throw out his usual “Contract” to pursue this fascinating woman., but will this distract him from the task ahead trying to find out who is trying to destroy them.
This is the eleventh book in this series and although you could read this as a stand alone story I would recommend reading the whole series, although the book is quick you get to understand the whole consulate and how we have got to this place in the story.
As always the chemistry between the two main characters is off the charts and drives the story forward with pace. I loved the way the author has still made the story fresh after so many books and that you are still invested within the overall details. I can’t wait for the last instalment of this story and finally understand who is responsible and so they win the war.

I have read a few books from this author and she never disappoints. This is the last book in the very addictive series of Eve Sawyer Mystery. You did need to read these books in order so you can understand this series. I was excited that I got this book. I started reading it right away. I could not put this book down under the ending. I read this story in only a few hours. I hope this is not the last book in this series. If so it will be sadly missed.
Eve Sawyer is in college studying journalism. She is doing amazing in all her classes. Eve is invited to go on a trip with one of her friends Bob. She hates flying but she needs a getaway. They end up at a small mining town called Prospect where Bob’s Uncle died suddenly. Eve doesn’t believe the course is death so she starts her own investigation. She is picking up clues to show a possible murder took place. Eve is getting closer to the killer but there is another murder. She is starting to believe there is a serial killer out there. Will Eve and Bob find the killer or will it be too late and they lose the killer for good?

However, the vet is really good and goes through all of their checks, but is it as scary as they thought and what will the vet be checking? This is a wonderful way to introduce children to the importance of vet visits and how to keep their cats healthy in an easily understandable way.

Bijou and Elijah were soul mates and they had a beautiful little girl Claire and they worked hard and had their dream of a starting a youth centre but fate dealt them a tragic hand and Bijou and Claire were left without their hero and now bijou is living life for Claire and things aren’t easy especially trying to keep the centre afloat , my heart aches for with each door that closes on her but just as we’re about to loose hope there’s light at the end of the tunnel ! There’s a lot of pressure to sell the centre and I get it but I also feel Bijou’s heart and kept rooting for her …also she’s so easy to relate with as a mom and the battles we have to “endure” with our kids 🥰
Mara , is Bijou’s bestie , she’s a real hoot and a bestie any girl would want , her new neighbour , Noah is sooooooo hot , single and raising his son , Noah on his own so Mara is already playing matchmaker in her mind and Claire will be babysitting for him so who know what can happen ( I’m sooooo excited )
Oh my gosh Noah could leave mother superior in a melted puddle and questioning her vows ( no disrespect intended) and little Holden is such a cutie 🥰 Claire is so good with as well , just makes my heart flutter , she looks at him like a little brother not someone in her care 🥰

Driving Into the Night by Amanda Kay is an urban fantasy with paranormal elements and characters, drama, angst, action, adventure, mystery, and high stakes. This is my first read by Amanda Kay, so I went into this book totally blind, as I had no idea what the book was about, or what to expect from one of Ms. Kay’s stories. I thought I was getting my hands on a dark and gritty thriller- and was excited to see what would come. What I discovered is actually not dark, or gritty, and is a MM romance. Which is fine, because I read all different genres- but when I eventually checked the blurb, the fact that this is an MM romance isn’t even alluded to – so someone who loves fantasy/paranormal romance, but doesn’t enjoy MM romance might need to know this fact before they dive in, and in my opinion, there really should have been some mention of this on the blurb. Kenai and Mikael are caught on opposite sides of a long-fought conflict- hunter and angel-demon- and a cursed ring out for blood. But what happens when feelings get in the way of the ‘mission’? Follow along on this story of opposites attract- and the power of love. I was really intrigued by the whole ring and pact scenario and would have loved to have discovered more about that, but the story doesn’t go into that aspect of the synopsis much, or even at all…. which was disappointing. Plus, I found the story a little confusing at times, and where the story seemed to lack ‘focus’ on the main thread/s- while there was a lot of frustration with repetitive information, especially in the form of thoughts/internal dialogue. I just didn’t find my groove here at all, which made for a frustrating read because it should have been right up my alley. Happy Reading…

We always love reading Oscar and Emmy adventures; this one was no different. Going to grandmas is always a blast and for these little kitties it is even better.The story follows Oscar and Emmy as they experience a fun-filled trip to their Grandma’s house. Sabol’s writing is accessible and rhythmic, with a focus on the sights and activities that make a visit to Grandma’s special. The text is complemented by bright, colorful illustrations that bring the story to life and highlight the warm, familial atmosphere. The author also did a fantastic job at capturing the joy and excitement of a visit to a grandparent’s house through the eyes of two lovable pets. I totally can’t wait for more of their adventure.

Finn McCabe is one of the Defensive linemen for Mountain State College. Chessly is the RA at one of the Women’s dorms. You would think being both smart and people who both enjoy Science would see the chemistry between each other. But it takes several failed attempts to make Finn see that the girl of his dreams is right in front of him. Then again when you have Jersey chasers hot on your heels maybe not. Chessly would like to be proven wrong in thinking that Finn is all about the Jersey chasers, but they just seem to pop up at all the right/wrong times when she and Finn are together. Seeing as Chessly has some type of past with a few of the Jersey chasers, maybe Finn has been looking at things all wrong. Only time will tell what the future will bring these two.

I love the fact that I got to discover this author with this complete series. This made me feel an array of emotion, steamy, spicy, funny, heart wrenching, and soo much more. Wilde’s portrayal of their personal growth and interactions feels authentic and engaging, making you invested in their M C journeys. The author’s character development was a strong suit throughout the series. Alongside the romance packed action and sophisticated digital matchmaking system. I honestly say i don’t know who my favorite character was. I would say if you haven’t read this series i would totally buckle up for the read and read this. I look forward to more from this author.

Murder in Prospect is the fifth book in the Eve Sawyer Mystery series. This novel does well on it’s own and I don’t feel you need to read the other books in the series to understand what’s going on. However, to appreciate the whole arc of the story I would recommend reading the other books in the series. The plot flows smoothly and has some interesting twists and turns to keep the reader guessing. This fast-paced novel is sure to entertain.

I love Baxter’s t-shirts. They are wonderful. They are fantastic. They are marvelous. The one about how he makes decisions. “Here I am” is all Baxter needed to advertise! 😂😂
I do believe the way these interconnected standalones overlap but don’t retell the story is wonderful. It helps a reader stay connected to the story and to the characters.
Okay…so Chessly and Finn. Chess wants nothing to do with Finn and his habit of giving into the jersey chasers that hang around. Every time Finn is winning points with Chessly, a jersey chaser or three interrupts and breaks the moment, sending Finn back to square one. For Finn, there is just something about Chessly that keeps him trying to impress her.
As Finn and Chessly battle around the bumps in their relationship, old foes keep popping up. An ex brings Finn to his knees in an instant causing him to lash out. Chessly’s nemesis tries to break up Finn and Chessly by having one of her friends say her pregnancy is Finn’s (it is not!). So many obstacles. But, all their friends are rooting for them and hoping for the best. Will Chessly and Finn be able to overcome any obstacle?
This series does not have a bad play. So far, each addition has been a winner. I can’t wait for Danny’s story. And Saylor’s!! This author knocks it out of the park (i know, wrong sport) with each story. You can’t go wrong with this series. Love it!

Alchemy of Glass is the sequel of The Apothecary’s Curse so I recommend reading that first but it can be read as a stand alone instead. Gaelan Erceldoune has been living for hundreds of years and finally has what he believes will end his long life. Instead he finds himself in the catacombs where he discovers a journal from an old friend that decides an Otherworld. Within the journal is a piece of stained glass that takes him into the dreamscape described in the pages. Again Barbara Barnett has crafted a perfect story that mixes the past, present, and future together to bring an epic and engaging tale. It has a great mix of history, fantasy, and science.

Finn and Chessly meet and their attraction is immediate. Chessly doesn’t trust that Finn isn’t a player on and off the field. Will Finn be able to prove to Chessly that he isn’t a player? Will Chessly ever realize how special Finn is?
The characters of Finn and Chessly are so well written. The dual POV is well done and so integral to the story. I love that we get to see Finn’s vulnerable side. This can definitely be read as a standalone. I feel like the other Wildcat players book happen almost simultaneously so you don’t need to read one before the other.

This is the 2nd book in this series, and it is just as good as the first. You could read this as a standalone, but I highly recommend that you read Tequila Midnight book 1. I have to say that Jessica Watts is in my top 5 favorite female main characters, she is strong willed, tough, independent and so much more. The author pays such attention to details that it makes the story so realistic and believable. It is fast paced and keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting more but also not wanting it to end. lots of twists and turns, suspense, adventure, danger and the characters are just so well written. I highly recommend this book.
Three books into the series and I fall in love with these characters a little more with each book. Callahan and Jamaica are still around as are Bax and Piper. We get to know Finn and Chessly on a more intimate level and learn what makes them tick.
Finn is a super polite guy who hates to be rude, but that inability ends up making some things so much harder, like impress Chessly enough to get her to go on a date.
I get Chessly more than I expected, our tolerance for garbage and fakeness is quite low and sometimes we say things outloud when we thought it was all in our heads.
The crossover between the books and the lining up of the timelines is impressive, I don’t know if I could keep it all straight.
I love all of the boys and look forward to the remaining stories.

Apothecary’s Curse introduces you to the world and the characters, but Alchemy of Glass takes you deeper into the catacombs of who they are and what they must overcome. It all starts with a journal and a piece of glass. Gaelen was surprised to see a long thought missing piece from one of his own stain glass windows changes everything. Now he must face the consequences of his actions towards Dr. Anne Shaw. Without her help and understanding the world could be doomed for the catastrophic future he’s seen ahead. Can Gaelen and Anne trust each other? Is the past too much to overcome? What does the future show? This world is just *chefs kiss* everything is so perfectly weaved together and has a purpose even the simplest of details make a difference. Immortality has become too much for Gaelen and finding a cure is truly his biggest desire.

I didn’t realize that Offsides was a series, but it still read ok. I enjoyed that this was told in a dual point of view. It’s always much easier and reads much smoother when you can hear from both main characters. It’s a sports romance, football for this one, opposites attract, spicy, new adult romance. This author writes compelling storylines, with real, come off the page characters that really pull you in, and keep you reading. Overall a great read.

Oscar any Emmy Visit the Vet is a children’s book about vet care for animals. They require regular checkups to stay healthy and require a few things at home to keep them healthy and from having to visit the vet as often as well. It details a lot of things in the last few pages that will help you know what to do. I thought this was easily understood, had great pictures, and was well thought out. I enjoyed it.

I hadn’t read anything by this author before, but the cover of this book is beautifully intriguing which made it impossible to ignore. Once I read the synopsis, I knew I was going to love it! This is the first book in the Guardians of Camelot series and it is quite an interesting start. I am a huge fan of all things related to Arthurian legends which made me a giant sucker for this book. I dove right in and didn’t come up for air until I devoured the entire thing! The characters were incredibly well-developed, but Morgan is definitely my favorite. Talia and Taron are magnificent as well. The story flows well and everything unfolds naturally. If this is also a new author for you, don’t hesitate to branch out! This was a fantastic urban fantasy read and I am on my way now to pick up the next book in this series.

I was really excited to read this installment of Porter and Midge with my kids. Even though we don’t have any dogs, some of the most important people in our lives do, I knew the kids would love the creative, hands on aspect of this book. I love a good children’s book that rhymes so I really enjoyed the flow of the writing. Overall, this was a great kids book!

Wonderful children’s book about all the different places that people and animals can live and call home. The illustrations are great and really show what those places are. The big take away from this book is that everyone has a safe place to go and call “HOME”. A place to feel safe and loved.
