The author has done a wonderful job of portraying the hard work, dedication, and determination that goes into having a successful music career. It is like having a behind the scenes look at the music industry and experiencing the blood, sweat, and tears that goes into running a successful music business. The characters were a blend of personalities that somehow worked together and were relatable. Some moments were tense, some moments were emotional, and some moments left you singing along to the tune you could not help but sing inside your head. An enjoyable read.

She has such a vivid and abundant imagination, which she uses to weave wonderfully dynamic stories, bringing us something new, each and every time. She seems to have a limitless well of imagination and inspiration just waiting for her to release into the world for us to enjoy. Ms. Valkyrie never ceases to amaze me with her highly original storylines that all manage to have their own identity, but also capture her unique touches that add a special quality to all her work. This is another cleverly woven paranormal MM romance, with second chances, vampires, wolf shifters, action, mysteriousness, agendas, chemistry, family, hope, murder, a sinister foe, emotion, humour, fun, banter, and even a haunted house. The story is set on Halloween, which adds an element of mysteriousness to the story. “Every ten years, the gods choose a paranormal being who has been unjustly killed and offers them a second chance at life. But this second chance comes with a catch, as set out by the rules imposed by the Gods. 1. You have 3 days to choose a mate. 2. You cannot use your powers to directly influence your potential mate. 3.You can only choose one person….If the potential mate rejects you then you go back to purgatory. 4. Revenge Honeymoon is a super fun RomCom that literally had me laughing so hard in parts I couldn’t breathe. I absolutely loved reading this book and got a big kick out these two and all the crazy things they got into. Ruby was left at the altar so what does her wonder friend do , she comes up with a crazy plan to help soothe her broken heart and keep the non refundable cruise the couple was supposed to go on. Get ready for quite the crazy laugh out loud adventure these two are to take us on. I loved everything about this book from the characters to the storyline that flowed. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. Its definitely worth the read and I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Music, a balm for the soul This book is a multilayered melody with emotion-filled undertones. The story follows Cat, Annie and Robbie as they navigate the music industry that is Merger Music. They all have secrets and need to resolve and the author brilliant,y executes this while wrapping the reader in a blanket of tunes. There is a good balance between the drama and the banter and the characters are well developed and easy to relate to. An entertaining and enjoyable read.

Very cute children’s book about the adventures of the family cat when he goes out at night. The kids are curious about what Lucas does at night so they put a camera on him to record what he does and then they spend the story speculating what adventures Lucas goes on. I love the rhyming that Shannon has done throughout the book and the sing-songy nature it gives to the story. The illustrations are very cute and whimsical. I absolutely love the ending…very cat-like 🙂

What can I say about this beautiful book of poetry? The words and the lilt have taken me back to the 70s where psychedelics were all the rage and the music of the day inspired and ignited a fire within us! The words are raw and oftentimes harsh and cutting but it is truly the journey of one’s inner self and for that I appreciate the honesty and the frankness of his writings. With musical tributes throughout the entire book to the Beatles and Pink Floyd, the nostalgia just continues especially when he mentions vinyl! Oh, the days of pops and crackles when listening to music on vinyl! How I miss those days of youth! I think that every person who reads this wonderland of poetry will find a poem or a thought from the writer that will resonate and make him question his existence or his role on earth. Great book and so welcome to read something so fresh and far from the beaten path!!

I am a sucker for a great vampire book and when I noticed that this one came out, I immediately had to add this to my list of books to read. I was FLOORED at the way the authors wrote and the story that was unfolding for the main character. The premise of this book was not one that I had not heard of in other stories, and I was very interested. I devoured this book super quick and was excited and loved this book. Operation Blackbird is a thrilling adventure sequence, similar yet vastly separate to its partner story The Brass Compass. Following the intelligent Miriam who struggles with war nerves from gut wrenching memories of the war, and Jake Devlin, an old friend from her past that brings more than Miriam was expecting to the table. The pair go through their own battles of the mind as they venture through secrecy involving the KGB many years following the destruction of WWII, as well as rescuing each other from past secrets and kidnapping. The amount of historical pieces that went into this story was phenomenal, such as the detail regarding the trauma and severe reality of the effect from the Iron Curtain. I fell into the depths so quickly, it was hard to escape with them! I could not put this book down, and I’m thinking I’ll have to reread it again and again. I’m really hoping Ellen Butler keeps this espionage series going, because my heart can not keep up with only two!!

This is the first book I’ve read by this author but it was a good read.
Peggy is approaching a new season of her life. Her kids are leaving home and she’s finding that she doesn’t really know what to do with herself. She decided to use the gym membership her kids got her, regardless of how she felt when they gifted it to her. Peggy begins to embrace her new season and realize she is more than any of the little boxes she’s placed herself into over the last several years.
I enjoyed this book. This book really captured Peggy’s emotions as she learns to embrace the changes she’s experiencing in herself and she is learning where to go from here. Truly an inspiration for anyone stuck and not sure how to move forward.

I found this story to be a short and redeeming story of second chance love. It is nice to see a story like this in the paranormal world. The writing is quite thoughtful. The characters are well-developed and I found they paired up well. Overall, I really enjoyed the story.

I was so excited when I saw Naomi had a new book out and couldn’t wait to get started. The Final Bite is a paranormal fantasy romance story. Her stories just keep getting better and better and like I say with each book this is my favourite so far.
Naomi’s is a talented writer where her word skills, along with her wonderful characters that she brings to life are original and delightful. Her attention to details and world building is richly vivid and easily imagined. I love that you never know what you are going to get from Naomi and her out of the norm storytelling.
I read this in one sitting as it was so good and I just could not put it down. I can’t wait to see where Naomi takes us next.
If you love good out of the norm paranormal romances then definitely check this out.

I LOVED every minute of this book! I was sucked in from the start and couldn’t leave it alone until I consumed its entirety! The chemistry between Eve and Devlin was off the charts, and all the twists and turns and unexpected things that happened kept the book exciting! Shadow Patterns of Melt is the first book in this original sci fi action adventure series. It is a story about being determined about what you want. About wanting to live your life your way and be free to do so with the one you love, about being independent. It is an unusual story with action, time travel, wormholes, interstellar travel, and opera.
The characters are well written, strong, passionate, and likable and them along with the world that JRP has created is easily imagined.
This story is vastly different to another book Soliloquy I just finished reading by this author which shows the diversity of her writing abilities and creative mind.

I really enjoyed the Notebook Mysteries Series and was so excited to see a spin off. This book did not disappoint. These books are so unique, and it makes them so much fun to read. I easily get lost in the world created by this author. I would highly recommend reading this! I loved it!
This was a great thriller. I enjoyed all of it. I could not put this book down. It hooked me from the beginning and kept me interested the entire time. Something new for me was the author notes, I enjoyed them, it made me feel like I got to know more about the author.
My kids loved this book! They always get to learn so much from all of this author’s book. Their favorite part was learning how the bird lays its eggs, which lead to conversations about lots of other animals. Highly Recommend!!!!

This was a really good read! I liked how well the story flowed, and how everything came together. It was very well written, I thought the imagery used was very vivid. I really liked the characters. The author really brought them to life. I had some issues with the beginning, it was a little rough to start but I’m glad I stuck it out and finished as the ending is definitely worth it. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!

More than is the first book I have read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. It is a story about finding yourself once again after a terrible tragedy and becoming a single parent and overcoming the grief. I think most woman who have kids can relate to this story in some ways.
Peggy lost her way after losing her husband. She put her life on hold to raise two young children but at times it felt like she was having a pity party always finding fault with everyone else instead of looking inwards.
On the other hand, she finally pulled herself out of herself inflicted exile and became a stronger version of what could have been all along had she seen what could be. We get to see her metamorphous from down and out and grumpy caterpillar to a learning to love life again beautiful butterfly and this is where the fun begins. There is a lot of bluffing, huffing and puffing going on but it was fun to read and the way Peggy goes about things will have you entertained.

This book kinda started slow for me. I pulled it out at work during a slow period, and at first I couldn’t really get into it. And then it sucked me in! So if you find yourselves in the review section for this book cause you’re second guessing, I’m telling you- keep going. This book sucked me in so hard and fast! It’s the perfect book to read in the evening with a cup of tea or cocoa. The ending absolutely killed me! It’s got that perfect mix of romance and adventure, I loved it so much!
Dia’s Lure is the third unique book in the A Solstice Quartet. Make sure you read the books in order so you know what has happened before. This is an emotional paranormal fantasy romance where the characters are broken that is until they find those that make them more than. More than they thought. More than worthy. These beautiful and magical characters have been through so much and will have your heart aching for them.
This delightful tale has everything to keep you glued to the pages and make you fall in love with the characters. There is trauma but hope, guilt yet humour, mystery with magic, fears and danger, heartbreak and angst, shifters and so much more. Catherine has a way with words that is able to paint an enchanting and vivid picture that is easily imagined.
Jim Shomos is a first time author for me, but the story sounded interesting. I was not disappointed. From the name of the book, More Text Than Sex, I was expecting a slightly shallow, fluffier piece; what I got was so much more! There are so many wonderfully realistic and well-developed characters that I couldn’t help but cry when things were going poorly and cheer when things went well. Not only were the characters deep, there was so much to the storyline. Although there is a lot of information to this book, it is easy to follow, with great world building. There is music, dancing, sex, family, friendship, and so much more. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who needs a good book full of humor, wit, and lots of emotions.

WE Blend (Falling for the Rockstar’s Daughter Book 1)
Normally I don’t get into series that only one couple through the series and aren’t complete because I have no patience to wait for the next book to see what happens with the couple I’m already fully vested in, but something told me to give it a try this book a try and I’m so glad I listened.
I got caught up in the story and characters from the beginning and they would not leave me alone until I finished the book and thankfully it was a quiet weekend and I didn’t have to worry about anything else being ignored.
As the mother of 2 adult daughters my heart broke for El and the bubble the family kept her in. It’s not easy to watch our babies grow up and we don’t always agree with their decisions but it’s our job to love and support them unconditionally.
El and Wil just worked from the beginning, the chemistry was off the charts from that first moment and only increased from there.
I’m already waiting for the next book in this series to come out so I can find out what happens next and maybe catch up with Zoe and Sven who I adored.

A debut novel about two soldiers who met when they were fighting in the war against the Veit cong. Captain Nguyen Duc Dong happened to catch Airman Rex Thompson stealing money provided to the South Vietnamese Army but didn’t press charges against Airman Thompson. Captain Dong felt he had a good reason to let the Airman go. What effect this decision has on the two men over the years was intriguing
The story is well written and I could understand the point of view of the two main characters. The descriptions of Vietnam and Mississippi add to the backdrop of this story both in beautiful and tragic points.

This is a wonderful book. I was taken on an adventure with this author’s exceptional ability to tell a great story. This story was full of action, suspense, magic, some steamy moments and really great characters. I was drawn into a fantastical world of realms and creatures and an entertaining story line. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen in the next book in this series. I am so glad I took on a chance on this book, this is a must read. I highly recommend this book.
