This series is a collection of short novella stories that are really hot and spicy to read. All of them are erotica books but all have a great storyline to go along with them. Each book is different from the last but has the same great writing style. Each set of characters are really what pulled me into these books though. This book is such an interesting story. I knew I would enjoy it when I read the description but I didn’t expect it to draw me in so easily and so quickly. I enjoyed the way the author slowly built up the storyline. As each page passed I became more invested in the story and what was happening. The mix of characters was really interesting to read about as well. They had a brilliant dynamic which fit well with the story. This is a new author to me and I really enjoyed the writing style. This book has piqued my interest in her work as a whole and I am looking forward to discovering more.

This book is a great introduction to a new world! We start off with a brief glimpse of Selene’s life with all the promise of a thriving business and a new life-to-be with her fiancée. We get a little foreshadowing of what’s to come in the opening scene, just a little hint, that stuck with me as I launched into this book. Everything goes from sunshine and roses to chaos and immense change. I love how the author dives deep into this new world while giving the reader wonderful characters throughout. Get ready for a new series, filled with action, monsters, and fantastic adventures!

I normally prefer stories that are much longer and filled with more information, but this anthology was concise and allowed the reader to feel satisfied. Some anthologies are disjointed and you can easily get confused by the change from one story to the other, but this anthology is refreshingly cohesive and transitions beautifully. Though I’ve never read any Lovecraft or Wells, this anthology definitely reflects references I’ve heard before with great twists! These stories will give you full-body shivers, have the hairs on the back of your neck standing up, and make you question time. I love the horror and chaos of these pieces and thoroughly enjoyed the thrills each offered!
This is the second book in the Heart and Hand Series. I have to admit I was captivated by these characters from the start. This author does an incredible job of weaving a tale of romance, adventure, danger, magic, revenge and everything in between. Once you start reading this book you won’t be able to put it down until the end. I would recommend reading these books in order as they do follow on and to get a complete understanding of the politics that are at play you would need the background from the first book.
The main characters in this story are Train and Claire. Their connection is instant and they want so much to be together, but kidnap plots, an attack on Train which leaves him for dead (or is he) and the customs of Trains family and upbringing are the small things keeping them apart. Can they work their way through all of the obstacles against them in the hope for a happy future or will forces against them prove too much for them to overcome.
I loved this book and I can’t wait for the next one. The stories are so captivating that I completely lose myself in them and their characters. I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us next.

This is the first book I’ve read from Ava Silvers and I was rather impressed. Judging on the cover only, I thought it was going to be like a high school paranormal mystery. I’m glad it was different. I immediately connected with Hazel. I absolutely love her character. Also the town of Shadow Hollow is a place I’d love to visit! I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries or paranormal books. I would say this book is for all ages too. Not just YA like I thought. I can not wait to jump into the next book!

This book is truly for anyone. I know there are specific people that enjoy the Sci-Fi genre, but there is a little mystery, suspense, and fantasy in this novel for any reader. As most fantasy and Sci-Fi novels begin, this had a slow start in order to gather the information you need for the rest of the book. I can assure you that you will not regret continuing to read this book if you can make it through the first couple of chapters with an open mind.
I enjoyed the back and forth between characters and time frames as well. It ties the characters and the plot together beautifully.
I am also being impatient when it comes to the second book. I cannot wait to get my hands on it! Also, have you seen the cover art? It is fabulous!

Rock Crush and Roll is Hunter Snow’s debut novel. A Rock star light romance that is set in Canada. It really is everything you could want in a romance book. Past hurts, fears and the growing of a relationship. A slow burn so well written, it shows all the sides of a relationship, from how difficult to all the good and positive. This book kept me entertained the entire beginning to end. The characters are so well written and relatable and likeable that I felt like I knew them. This is a fun quick read so get cozy and enjoy.

A Vampire in Disguise starts out with Hazel traveling to find out what happened to her younger sister. When she reaches Shadow Hollow the small town is not what she expected, magical creatures are known to exist and are welcomed. She starts looking into her sisters life in the town but things are not adding up. I love that Hazel is a fire witch and her personality shines through. All the characters are well developed and written that it is hard to determine who to trust. I thought this was going to be a YA read due to the title but I feel like young adults will enjoy it even more. It is a pleasant mix of cozy mystery with paranormal. I can’t wait to read the second book in the series!

Blurring the Lines & Extras (The Blind Rebels Series) by Amy Kaybach – Review by Jessica Stone
So this book is a novella/prequel for the blind rebel series and it has two parts. It’s really interesting to be able to go back after reading the first few books in the series and to see what happened before the events of those books.
If you like drugs, sex and rock n roll then this story is for you. It follows each member of the rebels and Becka and how she met Mav. Each chapter is from a different perspective which I enjoy reading a lot to gain the insight into these different character and the first part really focuses on Becka and her trauma and need and Mav and all the craziness going on in his life. You get to see the instant connection between them and their relationship form. I really enjoy how unhinged Becka is if I’m going to be honest, maybe not the healthiest ways of coping are utilized by her and she’s a wee bit of a nut case but I’m always routing for a girl who knows what she wants and goes for it. The second half focuses on everyone else in the band a bit more, introducing them a bit more than the snippets you get in the first half.
I enjoyed the writing style and the bouncing around to different characters I believe it kept this read at a fast pace while still divulging the information it needed to while touching on some hard subjects without being to subjective which is sometimes hard to do when touching on drugs and addiction, alcoholism and other such topics. While I would highly recommend this read, especially if you are going to read The Blind Rebels series I would suggest double checking your trigger warns before starting, otherwise I would say dive right in and enjoy, I definitely did. There are a few bonus chapters at the end of the novella which are from the other books, I feel like this book could be read before the series if you chose, I don’t feel like you would be lost if so but I also think that reading the other books and then coming back to this one really brings things full circle.

Not gonna lie, the cover of this one pulled me in instantly, but the synopsis of the anthology made me too curious I had to find out what was inside. While I love works and shows inspired by HP Lovecraft and HG Wells, I have never personally read any of their work or anything like their work until now. This book is composed of fourteen stories by a total of thirteen authors. One key backbone across them all, time. The steampunk and clocks pull everything together flawlessly to fully immerse you in each of the stories. While they are in this anthology, they are not continuations of each other they all have their unique voice. I don’t usually take my time with anthologies, I tend to devour them quickly, but this one really makes you take a moment to think about the depth of the stories and keeps you coming back to see what’s next. I hope to see more from this group of incredible authors and their visions.
Book 1 in the Hope and Hearts from Swan Harbor series was so good. I felt like I got to know each of the characters and want to read the next book!! Cam and Jessie have known each other all their lives. Skating took Jessie away from Swan Harbor but now she is back. Cam and Jessie have had a hard time with their relationship and someone is out to keep them apart. Can they find out who is behind all of the things that are going on? Will their relationship survive?

Hazel is a fire witch and her personality matches her powers quite nicely. She appears feisty and witty, caring and quirky. All things I love about her. I loved most of the characters. They all had such strong personalities. The author did an amazing job with this cozy mystery mixed with the supernatural. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

This is the first book in the Creatures of the Midwest series and the first I’d read by this author. I wasn’t sure what to expect but since I love everything to do with vampires, I gave it a chance. I’m glad I did because this is a marvelous paranormal mystery. The author pulled me in from the very beginning and never let go! I couldn’t put it down, so I ended up ignoring way too many chores reading it nonstop. The flow of the story felt natural, and the characters were not only relatable but well-developed. Hazel is our incredible main character who is looking for her missing sister. There were so many twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting throughout this entire story. I am excited to read the next book and highly recommend picking this one up if you love vampires, the paranormal, and mysteries!

Casting Vows (Hearts of Gold Series) by Ariella Talix. This is a historical romance set in the 1800s that will keep you flipping pages late in the night. Its the story of Matty & Nico who are great friends at a young age. Eventually Matty is taken in by Nico’s family to get him away from his drunken father. Nico goes off to college and returns with a new girlfriend in tow, Eden. Nico and Matty have always had feeling for one another so when Eden enters the picture its a new playing field. Nico doesn’t think he will see his friend again but when he returns with Eden he is shocked to find Matty home. Can the three make a relationship work out with all three of them? This is a very steamy, romantic, historical read that will keep you flipping pages late into the night.
Part two of this series is the conclusion and the make-up sex part of K.C and Chamberlain’s story. These two rediscover each other after years of rebuilding themselves and trying to “get over” the other. However, their connection is still there making all the sex worth it!
I enjoyed their reunion but felt like something was missing in this book. Felt more like this was the buildup for Beth and her story. Don’t get me wrong, the sex was really good!
Love these characters and look forward to what they may get into in future stories.

This is the story of Claire younger sister of Anna who is not giving her heart away easily. Even though she has been guarding her heart she does fall in love with Trian. Claire is a strong woman and when tragedy strikes we find out exactly how strong she is. While the story focuses on Trian and Claire it tells their story separately as well. Trian is so in love with Claire and he helps her learn the ways of his people. With different traditions and rules Claire is trying to learn as much as she can but she is focused on getting back home. With details that make you feel as if you are in this realm, you won’t want to put this book down until you find out the ending. It is a second book in the series but it can be read as a standalone.

I am amazed that these books keep getting better and better. It’s rare that that happens in a series. That’s the mark of an excellent writer. It makes me want to find any and all other books by them and just absorb them all. This is the third in the series, and I highly suggest reading them all. I absolutely love the characters in this story. I really loved getting to know Neferet and her family even more in this adventure. This is another mystery with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. What a wild ride from start to end. Holmes has a way of building a story with excellent details and a story that just flows.
This is the second book in the series. I am reading them in order. I always recommend reading any series in order. I do not feel like you are really missing anything important reading out of order. I do think it helps with the smaller details though. I liked this story even more than the first. I am usually pretty good at guessing mysteries, but this one kept me changing who I thought did it throughout the whole thing. There are so many likely choices when a character is so disliked. It was s surprise twist, and there’s nothing better than twists in mysteries! I could not wait for the third!
A lighthearted and heartwarming sports romance novella, which kept me happily turning the pages. Drew is a workaholic with no time for relationships, but then he meets an unknown woman in a mascot costume at a Halloween party. Katie has had enough of men, especially those using her to get close to the professional sports team. Then she meets a guy dressed as a giant banana slug at a party, only to be pursued by police. Following an adventurous night running from the cops the couple go on a date. Although their first date didn’t go as planned after Katie’s dog attacked Drew, they decide to take a second chance. Just as the couple’s relationship is developing Drew’s work demands leave Katie fearing another painful rejection. This is a quick and entertaining read, with likeable characters and a storyline with plenty of humour and romance. The chemistry between Katie and Drew is spicy and steamy. An enjoyable and engaging novella.

If you enjoy spicy heat at nearly every turn of the page, you should definitely give these three fast-paced stories a try. Each story features a woman who finds her way into the arms of a sexy, dominating male. But there is a lot more than simply sex and submission taking place. There are evolving feelings growing under the surface- intrigue, trust, lust, love. I felt each character really brought something unique to their story. It may not be my usual type of story to pick up, but I would absolutely read more by this author. I loved Julie’s writing and ability to be so in-depth with her descriptiveness and characters, while keeping the story moving along at a quick pace!

I love a good mystery and this fits the bill. This story takes place in ancient Egypt. I don’t think I have read a story in that place or time period before. I really enjoyed reading about the time and learning about the characters. The details in the story kept me hooked from the beginning. Stories where women fight to prove their worth are always favorites of mine. Even in this day and age, women often have to prove themselves. It’s sad to think in some ways, not much has changed in that way. It makes a great storyline though. Female empowerment is a beautiful thing. I really liked how the author included a map, glossary, historical notes, and character list at the beginning. It really helps to refer back to it as you read. Ancient Egypt has always fascinated me, but there is a lot I do not remember from school days. This author writes her story as if she were actually from the time. I appreciate that very much.

The Predator Part Two picks up after the first book in the series, so I definitely recommend you reading the first book to continue on to part two. Katie and Chamberlain’s story continues and there is so much left unsaid….this second chance romance with its definite secrets, greed, drama also tells a tale of forgiveness, love and a true emotional roller coaster. This story had it all and really loved knowing what happens with the aftermath from the first book.
Chamberlain and Katie’s love rebuilds back to what was lost, and makes the most out of their time apart. I really loved their story and I cannot wait to dive into Beth and Scott’s story next!

Quite entertaining book. I really liked how it took a look at the relationship in the entertainment area. It felt real because it showed the good and the bad. Tyler and Cary had a lot of past to get through and a lot hurt to work through. I actually liked the slow burn to it. Being able to see them get to the point of having a good relationship and enjoying the music and the life. I loved how the author took her knowledge of the industry and incorporated that into the story. It’s well written. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
