What a wonderful and emotional horror novella to start out the spooky season. This is a very quick paced read. If zombies or skin things are a trigger for you be warned! Lila and her mother Amy are some of the last left alive after an outbreak hits. This is descriptive in all the right ways and I cannot wait to see what other horror ideas come from this author.
I love vampire romances and this was just the ticket. The author has done a wonderful job of creating a world and brining the characters to life. I really liked how the book was well balanced and had drama with romance. The chemistry between the characters is explosive. I was just not wanting or able to put this book down.
The romance was of the forbidden so was really really drawing for me. I was so eager to see how it would pan out. I like how there is a flowing plot that I am sure will carry out throughout the series and therefore I cannot wait to read more from it.

This book definitely took me by surprise because it sucked me right in. It is so wonderfully written. The characters were so relatable. Such great detail was taken in this book. I actually stayed up way past my bedtime to finish it.

This is a great series!! I have read these books out of order but have thoroughly enjoyed reading about Emma and her family.
Emma is a pretty determined 16-year-old young lady. After the death of her mother, she takes over working at the bakery. She is the only other person who knows her mother’s secret recipes. She feels like she is being followed or watched everyday as she goes to work and this intrigues her. Emma keeps a notebook full of observations that she makes so she adds this one to her list.
Working at the bakery isn’t fulfilling Emma’s needs for adventure so she starts moonlighting as a delivery boy with Tim. It’s very frowned upon during that day and time! She sees so many things that she spends quite a bit of time each evening writing down observations in her notebook. It’s then that she realizes that she may have just solved a crime and gets her foot in the door at Pinkerton’s.
This is a very enjoyable book! It’s full of mystery and intrigue, along with a small amount of romance. I recommend this entire series!!

This was a great follow-up to Crown of Stones: Magic Price, for sure! Beginning a few years after the first book ends starts with Ian in prison with no memories. The twists and turns going throughout the story as Ian tries to finish work from the first book and regain his memory are paced really well. They make the book unpredictable but still enjoyable. Little bits of history, compassion, friendship, battles, and sneaking around keep the story moving forward. And, for those interested, some pretty intense sex scenes, as well. I look forward to reading the next one!

The book begins with Freya and Cam being at odds with each other. About the time that Freya decides to move on, tragedy strikes Freya’s children in their community and two others. Their friends take matters into their own hands and help a reconciliation happen because they need both of them to figure out how to protect what is theirs. As the team gathers up Freya’s scattered children, they meet up with unexpected friends, revisit the past, and find out how far they will go to protect each other.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series. I am sad to see it end, but I loved how everything was tied up in the end! Freya, Cam, Sorcha, and Illy are wonderful examples of friend/family relationships. They aren’t easy, they are messy, but in the end, they have each other’s backs. It was interesting to read about Freya- a normally strong character- show some cracks and have PTSD and anxiety issues that she had to learn how to cope with during their travels. T.S. Simons has done a phenomenal job with this series!

This is a short BWWM, enemies to lovers romance novel. Like most novels I’ve read by this author it is short in length at only 138 pages. I felt that there was so much scope to make this a much longer book. In parts it felt rushed and I think the author has missed a great chance to have added much more ‘meat to the bones’ of the story. I did enjoy Mitchel and Jules’ story. I really liked Mitchel’s character but have to admit that I found Jules very selfish and self centred at times and would have liked o give her a slap on the head to make her see how she was acting. I feel that so much more could have been written about the TV show that Jules and her friend were in town to scout for. I would have liked to read more about that. The story that is there is enjoyable to read. I just wish we had got more of it.

A short, but detailed story that tells the horrors of dating after a zombie apocalypse. Our protagonist is searching for love in a world that is full of the lifeless, cold, and undead. Although the undead try their very best to cover up their imperfections through their clothing and by covering them up with makeup she sees right through them. Pushing her fears and paranoia aside, she goes on date after date in the hopes that Mr. Right is out there somewhere but that she just has yet to find him. The only real bright spot in her dreary world is the cat in the window across the street that she has formed a bond with.
The author does a great job of world building and drawing the reader into the story from the first page. She so accurately describes the very real horrors of dating while using zombies as a metaphor. Time and time again throughout this short story I found myself relating to the protagonist as I recall back to my own dating experience. How many times did I go on a date with a lifeless “zombie” who tried so hard to hide his imperfections behind his sweet talk and the clothes he wore? This short story was interesting, unique, creepy, and fun to read. Another great and unique story by this author!

Starting this book, I was having a hard time following along, I re-read the first couple pages at least 3 times, so I decided to just push through and hope that it was not going to be important for further reading. I should have just kept reading from the start and not went back at all because everything would start making sense soon enough. I appreciate the magical world that C.A King created. Instead of one magical school C.A.King created several so students can hone in and focus on their individual talents. Grave Digger Academy was a fun easy read, could easily read in one sitting. I really appreciated that it was a paranormal read that didn’t focus on a love triangle, there were no distractions with romantic relationships at all for this book. 4 out of 5 stars and the only reason I am giving it a 4 and not a 5, I wanted more! I would have gladly read 500 pages in book one. I am excited to see how the story continues with the books that follow.

I have been a long time fan of this author for quite some time, they have a gift of bringing everything that they write to life. I love how the visual words by this author are always perfectly done, and everything from the characters and setting of the story comes to life right before your eyes!
This book alone, was impossible to put down as well as stop reading book. The book is a fast and quick read, but the book itself is nothing short of being purely epic. The book had a lot of action, and suspense that kept me wanting to know more. Great descriptive words and uses as always by this author. As usual, the author had a way with how they wrote the book! I very much enjoy it. I kept flipping pages and wanting to know more. This book alone had become one of my personal favorites by this author! Loved it!
This book was full of intrigue and suspense. The writing was gripping and was a real treat for the eyes to envision! Without a doubt, a must read! not one to be passed by any means! I highly recommend it!
I really enjoyed the blind date premise of this storyline and the chemistry between Jake and Lauren. Jake is tired of women only looking at his money over his true self while Lauren never wants to be seen as someone who uses others for money. These two are set up through a blind date service and immediately, they feel connected. This was an entertaining read with great characters, romance and drama.

This book is a high 4 star read. The only reason it isn’t a 5 star read is because it took me a bit to warm up to Beckett. He is your typical nasty, rich kid that is just super mean. I feel that if it didn’t take as long as it did to warm up to him then I would have enjoyed the book more than I did. However, that being said, this could be the exact feelings the author is trying to portray. I loved Greer from the get go. She knows that Beckett literally sucks in the personality department but is still attracted to him. It made for almost a bully romance book but it wasn’t quite there. Which is another reason for the high 4 star rating. I feel like it was so close to being a bully romance that it should have a little more angst and then it would be set. I will say that it was an amazing read and I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes the sports romance, enemies to lovers, edging on the verge of bully romance genres. I was not disappointed with the story line, just the growth of Beckett but that is just my opinion.

Destiny’s Daughter (Intimate and Unfiltered Book 3) by Lynda Filler. This is the 3rd book of Memoirs by this author and it is just as good as the previous 2. Filled with romance, sadness, ups and downs, its a life lived to the fullest. From traveling all over the world as a military brat, to traveling as an adult she has seen and done many things we just dream of. As she retires she has continued her love of travel and even found herself close to a war zone. The author shares with us her life and loves, heartbreaks and sadness as she walks thru life. Its a very emotional telling of someone who has lived a full and amazing life. Loved this story and truly enjoyed reading it.

I can never get enough of this author and all that they create and bring to life. This novel was no different. I enjoyed the complex level of emotions of the characters with this one. For sure, a worthwhile read.
I loved this one. I loved watching Beckett and Greer against one another. when their families, well collide. I loved Greer since her first introduction, and for Beckett, not so much at first glance. I loved the character development with him, and I changed my opinion of him. Underneath the ruthless skin there were emotions, and I mean a lot, and walls that were put up for a reason. I enjoyed the interactions with him and Greer. For sure, the book had a lot of realism and things we all can relate to. I love how this author brings issues that are faced every day and makes an emotional book come to life that is very much enjoyed! Loved this one!
I love this author and all that they create. I can not say enough good things about them. This is a very much must read book. I very much recommend it. I really enjoyed it and I am so glad I got to read this one.

This is book 1 in The Serrulata Saga. I really enjoyed this fantasy adventure. This story is fast paced and engaging which keeps the reader hooked. The world building is amazing and the writing is so good that you can actually close your eyes and imagine you are witnessing things as they happen. Our four main characters Leora,Roland Shallowbrook, Lady Aurora Verte and the Leopold, are all uniquely different and they all have a story to tell. They all come from different ways of life but when they combined together it just works. Sometimes when there are so many main characters and back stories the book can get confusing but that wasn’t the case with this one. As well as fighting to protect themselves in the present day there is also secrets from the past as well. This story is full of magic, danger and adventure and I can’t wait to carry on their story in the next book.

This was a read that gripped my heart and held it till I reached the final word on the final page! I could not put this book down! It gave a lot, and made my mind wonder as well as be intrigued all the way through!
I was taken in with the story, I love the different characters that were a part of the novel. Each was different, but what made them different greatly added to the complex attire of the story! I love the dystopian aspect to the story as well, and seeing the world for what it was, in a different light. I very much enjoyed the author’s writing. I was completely taken back by how they created and brought the story to life. Impressed? Yes I was. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to book 21 Honestly I loved this book!
Great and thrilling read. Not one that is easy to put down. You connect with the story and characters, and you don’t want to let go. For sure a high recommendation from myself for this must read adventure!

Magik, elementals and mysteries This was an unexpected find. I absolutely enjoyed the characters, world building and story line. Ava is one tough chick and her partners in the Black Cauldron Detective Agency are worthy side kicks. I was thoroughly intrigued from start to finish, with magik, action, mystery and even some light comedic relief this was a worthy read. I am looking forward to continuing this series.

Battling Beckett is a sports, enemy to lovers, taboo stepbrother romance. Greer Smith and her mother just move in with her soon to be stepfather and stepbrother. The problem with the merger is that Greer and her mother have always worked for everything that they have, and now they are living with people who are millionaires. Beckett is the most popular kid, at a private school, and the quarterback of the football team. Beckett is not happy about these women coming into their home and lives. He was taught to never trust women, they all are after their money. Due to this thinking, he is mad that Greer is there and now attending his expensive private school. At the beginning he tried to deny they knew each other and was rude and mean to her all the time. Throughout the story, Beckett tries many different things to get Greer to show her “true self”. Greer, while not happy about her situation, doesn’t want to get him in trouble in any way, and kind of starts to crush on him. Slowly, the two get close and that starts to bring a lot of attention to Greer, which she hates. One night she gets hurt and that is when Beckett starts to change his tune. Greer doesn’t try to change Beckett on purpose, but there is something about her that Beckett can’t seem to stay away from.
I really enjoyed this book. I am a sucker for taboo topics and enemy to lovers tropes. Greer was always an independent woman, but she turns into a woman who also starts to come out of her shell and stand up for herself, even through all the mixed signals and hurt. I loved watching her character development. I too loved Beckett, even though he was an ass at the beginning. Like Greer, you couldn’t blame him for his way of thinking, due to the past. Also, while he was an ass, you also saw, from the beginning, that he did care, even though he didn’t want to. His growth and love was evident as he started to care more and more for her, which I loved. The sexual tension between the two was also amazing. I felt like I was always waiting for it to happen, and when it did, it was slow but good. (Try to overlook the bad editing because the story is good)

I enjoyed reading this book. This is an author that I have loved reading from the first book I picked up by her. I enjoy her writing skills as well as her attention to details that make her stories realistic. Her characters are unique and creative. This book is no different. It is a creative journey that kept me coming back for more. This is a shorter story that certainly packs a punch with adventure. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into their story with ease. They have great growth as well as the plot throughout the story. This is an easy and entertaining story to read. I really enjoyed this new book by this author. I highly recommend this book and this author.
This is one of those romances that is a contemporary twist on rich boy-poor girl. Greer’s mom is marrying Beckett’s dad. The two of them come to develop feelings but have a lot to work through. The question is, can they make it? This question is what makes the whole story. The characters are well-developed. Everybody plays into the story so well. I found this book to be intriguing and very interesting. Their chemistry is slow to burn but came to build to a fire. The story, the drama, and the action bring it all together in a manner that plays into what young adults just may enjoy.

What a fascinating and intriguing book! I found the characters so relatable due to their intricate and diverse qualities/personalities. The story is so well-written and engaging that I couldn’t put it down. I had to find out what happened next. I grew up learning about the Hale-Bopp Comet and it was cool to see it involved in a story. The action and drama in the story keeps you totally engaged. This is not your usual zombie apocalypse book. It’s also a story of redemption and mother/daughter love. There is no stronger love than sacrificing yourself to rescue your daughter from a buried subway and possible zombies. I found the story so intriguing that I couldn’t put it down. I had to spend every free minute reading it to find out what happened next. The action, drama and romance is wonderful in this story. Such a well-written story, this the best zombie story I have read in a long time. The characters are well-developed and well-thought out. The ending throws me for a loop but soo, soo very good. You have to read this book. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.

Felines and Fatalities is the second book in A Kitty Beret Café Mystery Series. What a fun cozy mystery with just the right amount of suspense and the twists and turns will have you turning the pages trying to figure out what is going to happen next. I love this authors style of writing and attention to detail along with fully developed and relatable characters make for a fun yet suspenseful read . Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down until I finished. Although this can be read as a standalone I highly recommend reading the first book if you haven’t already started it. Ellie is the owner of Kitty Beret Café which she opened in hopes of rescuing cats and hopefully adopting them out to her customers. Ellie gets asked to host a cat show in which she’s not sure until she’s told its just for rescued cats. What starts out as something funs turns not so fun really quickly when someone is murdered. Now she finds herself working with Dare investigating a murder. Can they solve the mystery before its to late? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Broken Circle by Amy McKinley is an easy four-star read. This book immediately has love, action, murder and Mayham. Liv and Alex seem to be living their best life and being very much in love. When Liv is surprised by a life-changing event she has no idea that it’s about to throw everything she knows and everything she cares about into complete turmoil that will eventually end in lots of bloodshed. I can only imagine how being in love with someone and finding out all these devastating secrets could affect you. As everything that Amy McKinley writes in this genre you will be on the edge of your toes waiting to see what happens next. I really enjoyed how each character is introduced I can’t wait to see where this series goes. If you enjoy an action filled romantic suspense then I recommend grabbing this book.

I love retellings of childhood fairytales and couldn’t wait to give this book a shot. Especially when the original Disney version makes me want to gag. A Cinderella themed story with a MC who works in a funeral home?!?! Bring it on! I loved the story and it flowed very well. There was substantial character growth in both of the “main” characters and the world building was on point. The step mother and step sisters were absolutely wretched! Seriously deranged. It kept the story interesting and captured my full attention. I can’t tell you how many times I had to clutch my pearls!!! (Gasp!)
I’m so glad I read this book and loved the teasers thrown in. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next.

Azreya is the story of a young Aztec girl, whose family believed she was cursed and her only salvation was to give her to a shaman at the age of three. She grows under his tutelage, wondering who she is and what her purpose should be. Can she trust those around her to be honest and have her best interests at heart? This story has it all, survival, betrayal, and disappointment in those who were supposed to love her the most. Azreya goes on a difficult journey where she learns to trust herself and her abilities as she attempts to save the very people who pushed her away.
I really enjoyed this story a lot. It was a very pleasant read and I couldn’t put it down.

In this final installment of the trilogy, we see the friend group tested more as they experience the joys and sorrows of life. Imani now must cope with her own tragedy when she loses the love of her life. Melody is trying to support Imani and her fiancé, who was good friends with Marco. She calls on Lance, who is re-entering the group after a period of separation. I love how the characters are strong and independent on their own, but able to also lean on each other when life throws difficult times their way. Everyone could use an Imani, Melody, and Lance in their lives!
