This was a nice easy read for me as I get ready for the upcoming school year! I love the modern-day retelling of fairy tales and this did not disappoint me in the slightest! This book reminds me a lot of the Cinderella Story movies from my childhood, particularly the first one with Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray.
I love the character of Ashley, I particularly admire how strong she stays despite all of the issues she faces in her life. The character of Harry was different from other ‘Prince Charming’ characters I have read in the past, dealing with plenty of his own issues and I loved reading the chapters in his point of view.
I also love how the side characters and villains were written, each character given a good amount of detail into their lives. I can’t wait to see what the author comes up with in the next book in the series!

I love Quinn and Kieran together. After they become betrothed to each other, Quinn disappears for a century. When Kieran finally finds her, he takes such good care of her, and honestly she didn’t deserve it. But he did it anyways. Though Quinn can be quite stubborn, she slowly starts to trust Kieran and let’s him in on her family’s secret.
A story full of passion, stubborn characters, and action packed suspense. I can’t wait for the other stories in this series.

5 out of 5 stars Oh my goodness~! I loved everything about this book as an audio. First, let me start with narration. Sierra Kline and Logan McAllister are the perfect pair for this author’s books. They make the chemistry of the story explosive. The tone of the story is sexy and smoldering. The author’s writing is always a treat. Yes, this is an MC but the story also has a good vs evil edge to it. I am a huge fan of the author and the MC because its a bike group trying to go right. I love the fact that its growing into a family group. In this story, Peg felt so real, he just wanted what everyone else had. He was very considerate and a gentleman for Darcy’s feelings. He also was there to protect her. Darcy is kickass even through all the challenges she had to go through. She struggled with a lot and still came out a survivor. Terrific story. Another winner for this author. I can’t wait for the next.

This is a pretty intense book. Ian does some really awful things. Granted, some of them are not completely his fault, but he still has to pay the price of them. I feel like the author did a good job of walking him through coming to terms with who he is and what he’s done. He had to make some hard choices and pay for them. In a world where everyone seems to be out for themselves, Ian Troy seems to always be thinking of others more than himself. Thankfully, he has loyal friends that stick with him through the horror and violence.

The author does not disappoint once again in book 4 of the Notebook Mysteries series! These stories are incredible as you continue to discover more about Emma, the main character. Emma goes through so many suspenseful and challenging issues that very quickly you are in shock with each turn of events. The historical nature of this story, in addition to the imagery in the author’s writing makes you feel as if you are right there in the 1880’s experiencing the cultural and even climate changes. Emma develops her love interest all the more in this book in the series, so it is not only packed with lots of twists and turns, but it gives the romantic side as well! I could easily see this in a movie. I am looking forward to the next book in the series next month and I can’t wait!!!!
This series is easily one of my favourite and the audio books are some of the best I have listened to. I become so emerged in what is happening and find myself completely lost by the story. This one is no exception at all and I loved the entire book. I kept finding reasons to turn it back on again and in no time had finished it.
This author is absolutely fantastic. She has created a series so strong, with a lasting effect, and yet has still managed to retain each individual book’s identity. The characters come across so strong and you can’t help but fall in love with them. This is a fantastic book and I would urge everyone to try it today!

I am really enjoying each and every book in this series, this one included. They all seem to add to much to the series as a whole and yet stand out as a single book. I loved the main character in this particular story. He carried it for me and I really connected with him and his journey. The story was exciting and gripping from the moment you start reading. I struggled to put it down once I had started reading. So much seems to happen in this book, I was swept away by it all and loved each and every moment. This is a really strong series I am thoroughly enjoying it all.

Misfortune of Vision is the fourth book in Christy Nicholas’ Druid’s Brooch series. The series follows a brooch as it is passed through the generations, giving powers to whoever is in possession of it. Each book is set at a different point in history, mainly in Ireland. At the time when Misfortune of Vision is sent, Christianity has become the main religion in Ireland. Orlagh, whose visions and medical knowledge have been helping her community for decades, is being treated with suspicion by a church that is desperate to assert its dominance. It’s nice having a protagonist who is quite old. Orlagh knows her time is running out and wants to ensure that she passes her knowledge and the brooch on to someone suitable. We see her struggling with tasks, relying on others for help, and being drained by the work that she must do. We also see her thinking about how her body is changing as she ages and mourning the friends and family who she has outlived. I also like that Declan, another major character, is a musician. His knowledge of songs from a variety of traditions adds some extra interest to the book! For me, this is another five-star book. Nicholas paints a vivid picture of the times and places in which her books are set, and yet again I feel like I’ve been transported back in time. It’s so informative and well researched, with an exciting fantasy side that fits in to the setting. I would definitely recommend it to fans of historical fantasy, especially if you’re interested in Celtic history and traditions!

Deborah Garland has really done an amazing job with this story. It has elements that appeal to all readers. Hard Lover is the perfect mix of suspense and spice and steam. This book is book two in a series, but it definitely functions as a standalone. I never read the first book and it was not hard to follow along and I didn’t feel like I was missing any important background information. Callie and Noah have an amazing chemistry and I truly felt that they kept me guessing! Definitely a spicy read but I loved it!

This is a sweet second chance romance with wonderful characters. The author has written a book that really gets the readers in engaged, in both the storyline and the characters involved. I connected with them the moment I started reading and wanted to find out if they got their happy ending. The book is one of those that is easy to read as you get lost in the pages so quickly. I found myself reading it fast as I was caught up in what was happening and wanted to see how it would end. This is a well written story by an author who really knows how to deliver. I would definitely suggest picking up this book today.

Where as this author been?! Why has no one ever told me to read her books? To say I was completely enthralled in this story would be an understatement. I couldn’t put this down if I tried. Had all I wanted and more. You really feel like you know these people and are there watching this happen page by page. I will be going back and reading the rest of this series because I need to know it all. Thank you and this author is now forever on my to read list.
Romantic Suspense is probably my favourite trope to read and this is a great example of a thrilling romantic suspense novel. This author was new to me but I was intrigued by the blurb and decided to try a new author. I can certainly say that I will now be reading more of this author’s work. In particular, I want to read the other books in this series. This is the 4th book in the Mafia romantic suspense series but each book can be read as a standalone. I didn’t feel that I was missing any necessary information to enjoy this book but I’m now intrigued by the other couples who appear in this book and want to find out their stories. In this book we get the story of Dominik Popov, car thief for the Bratva. He’s never had any issues when stealing a car until he tries to steal the beloved Audi R8 of country music sensation Leah Hart. Has he finally met his match? I loved both Dominik and Leah as characters. It’s very much an opposites-attract story as well as a romantic suspense. The story is action packed from the very beginning and the author does a great job of keeping you gripped and entertained right up to the end. It’s very much a page-turner. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed with this book.

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. I couldn’t put this book down and had a hard time with it ending. You will love Thief if you love an enemy to lovers books. This one will leave you hanging by a thread.
Leah is a celebrity and came from nothing. She shops, but she always checks her receipts. Losing her wallet turns out isn’t that bad as now she’s stuck with the thief who stole her car. The quote I chose for Leah is: “No! You get out! This is my car! I worked my ass off for this beauty, and you are not taking her from me!”
Dominik is good at his job selling cars and stealing them. So imagine his surprise when the exact car he’s looking for parks next him at a store. He’s never been caught until Leah. Shocks him, but now he’s got a famous hostage. The quote I chose for Dominik is: “Yeah. Tie her up and toss her in the back of the Escalade. Then follow me back to the shop.”
Emma and crew are back, building relationships and solving mysteries. This one is in 1887 and starts off with a bang. Emma and Jeremy are building their lives together and growing together as a couple. They are so sweet, so well written, and I love that Emma is a strong young female lead and Jeremy is an adamant supporter of her.
Going from chasing bank robbers, train crashes, murder, missing spouses, sabotage and child endangerment to feeling unsure of Jeremy’s mothers intentions once they meet and scouring the papers for cases because Emma is bored seems like a big range of topics. However, as with the rest, Emma and her world is beautifully written, has great leads, wonderful descriptions, excitement, excellent relationship building and is all tied together and delivered with a bow. These books stay on your mind until you can devour the whole thing.
Hailey is hell-bent on ruining her stepfather so much so as to set him up. She’s an intelligent hacker who only has one person in her life to trust since her mother doesn’t seem to care one way or the other how she feels about things. Trey is part of the Mafia but also an incredible surgeon and caring man deep down. Once he is brought into the loop to bring Hailey home things turn into MORE, so much MORE for Trey and Hailey. I really enjoyed reading this story and learning as it unfolded the mysteries of it. The love Trey and Hailey have for one another is unconditional.

This book brought me to tears because of Mia’s story. She has never known unconditional love and continues to fight for what she deserves. She’s fierce. Nico is the underboss of the La Rosa Family Mafia. He is a computer nerd and is the only one that hasn’t found his other half. There is love, action, comedy and so much more in this book and I didn’t want it to end. Nico gives Mia everything she’s ever wanted and what she deserves and Mia shows Nico that she can be trusted in ways he never thought. They come from rival Mafia’s and neither of them trust each other from the start.

Leo has had to provide for his sibling for most of his life so he did whatever it took to feed them and take care of them. When Leo’s boss approaches him about his knowledge of Leo’s brothers super powers and he wants his brother to join them. Leo has always been fearful of this. The brothers soon embark on a crazy dangerous adventure full of danger, demons, power and fights. Will they survive the whole ordeal? This book will keep you flipping pages til late in the night.

This book was my first read by this author. I was intrigued by the fact that we share a name and had to pick up this book to see the world within the pages. It is very rare I encounter someone that I share a name with. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will pick up future books by Ayla Marie.
The storyline of The Blood Prince was interesting to read. The characters were well developed. Leo, one of the main characters we meet in the beginning, appears to be more of the villain of the story, but by the end his portrayal changes. On the run from both the past and the future Leo and his siblings try to find a better future. Will the past sink its hooks into them and keep them burdened by it? Will the future they run from win or will they be able to create the better future they seek? Pick up the book to find out for yourself. You won’t regret it.

I could not put this book down! I have not read any books by Deborah Garland before I read this book and let me just say I am going to be looking to read more of her books soon! The beginning of the book totally had me hook, line and sinker and I was drawn to reading this book. The story between Callie and Noah was EXPERTLY written and had me wanting to read more about them. The steamy scenes were written very well and the way the author wrote made me feel as though I was right there like a fly on the wall as everything happened. If you are looking for your next great book to read, then this is it!

Leah Hart is the country’s sweetheart but what lies beneath the surface are secrets which if anyone found out would ruin her, but when she tries to stop someone stealing her car, she is not prepared for the rollercoaster of emotions and feelings that are brought to the surface within this encounter. The only problem is he is not the type of person she should be with but when have emotions ever been easy.
I have to say this book had me griped from the first word to the last, the writing was brilliant, and the story flowed with chemistry and action which kept your interest throughout. I must admit I am a sucker for a bad boy especially a Mafia bad boy and the character of Dom does not disappoint, with his broody, hidden in the dark persona just added to the mystery of him and learning about him enhanced the story along the way. The character of Leah was a great half to him, I loved the sassy nature of the character and that she was not afraid to push against the boundaries that Dom has stacked up for his self which added another layer to the story.
Although this is the fourth book in the series I read this quite easily as a stand alone book, although I can imagine that the secondary characters within the story have either there own stories or are getting there own stories in this series and to be honest it does not take a lot for me if I really like a series to add the previous books to my every growing TBR list lol. I can’t wait to read more books by this author and thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Anna is a little spitfire and while she is mindful of Phillip’s position she doesn’t let anyone dictate to her and she is determined to be accepted for who she is and for that she has my respect because it’s so easy to cave and she has backbone she wasn’t afraid to take on anyone who gave her a hard time , good grief she faced Phillip’s mom and gran that already says enough . She’s faithful to him and sees him for the man he is not for the stature and stays that comes with him so she’s a gem !
I loved getting lost in these pages , I laughed I got frustrated at times and there were a few times where I wished I could have dishes out a few slaps to some deserving unkind souls !!!!

Overall I liked this book. I really liked the story idea of twisting a classic fairytale. I was drawn to this book because I love twisted fairytales and the cover is beautiful. Parts of it were a little awkward, but I would definitely read more by this author, especially if they were more twisted fairytales!

Will Reuben finally fill the void in her life, and be the one she can trust to break her in all the right ways? Ashes of Sin and Stardust is an AnchorX novel by Lindsay Murray. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Murray, so I really wasn’t sure of what to expect from one of her books. But I was intrigued enough by the cover and blurb to take a chance and dive in. This is an erotic, BDSM romance- with plenty of triggers, dark themes, emotion, steam, banter, pleasure/pain, drama, and intensity. This is not a light and fluffy read, and I urge you to read the warnings before diving in- see below…. “This book isn’t a sweet, lighthearted romance with a sexy ripped man and a sweet submissive woman. So if that’s what you’re expecting, turn back now. These two break rules….. This book contains depictions of self-harm, intent and thoughts of suicide, mention of child abuse, and rape. It also contains graphic scenes of some BDSM acts that are often referred to as “edge play,” and may be upsetting or triggering to some readers. This content includes knife/blood play, choking, spit, face slapping, degradation/humiliation, heavy impact, hypnosis and brainwashing, and consensual non-consent…” I have read a LOT of erotic BDSM stories in my time and am always excited to find a new one in the hope that it stands out from the rest of the crowd. This is not an easy genre to master, and often I am left feeling a little disappointed, as was the case with this book. Sorry… This should have ticked all the boxes for me and been a scorching red-hot read. But unfortunately, this wasn’t the case. I felt that some elements of the story seemed a little odd, and not really in keeping with the main storyline- and didn’t gel with the rest. Added to that this is quite a long story, which normally I would find fantastic as I love nothing better than to really sink my teeth into a story and lose myself in all the enticing developments- but the length of this story really detracted from my overall enjoyment of the book, being quite wordy with a lot of information dumps which really broke the flow of the story for me. This book has the potential for so much more but as it stands it didn’t work for me. But don’t let me put you off reading this book, as plenty of other readers have given it 5 stars, so obviously I am in the minority here. I am intrigued but what else this author can do, so I will pick up another of her books to explore just to compare. Emotive, with a big trigger warning! Happy Reading!

What would you do if you came across a UFO that makes you feel a little weird and gives off a funny smell? I have never read a book like The Cool Thing before! This was full of things your wildest imagination couldn’t even think of. It took me quite a bit to get into it as the first few chapters are very short and seemingly disconnected, but once I got a feel for the flow it was mind-blowing. Full of monsters, quirky sci-fi events, and even love, I was not sufficiently prepared to soak all of this in on the first read. I fully intend to read it again before I pick-up the next book in this jaw-dropping series!
If you keep an open mind when you begin reading this, it won’t take long for you to be absorbed in Robert Rife’s incredible storytelling abilities. Give it a chance and you’ll come out the other side with a marvelous yet dark picture of what is going on with all of these characters.
