“Dark Romance” is right! This book was twisted and alluring, so much so that I read it all in a few hours. I couldn’t risk putting it down and not getting the answers to the endgame. As the story unravels, I never quite knew what to expect! Little hints were sprinkled into the story, but I could never fully anticipate what was to come.
This story follows Sydney as she is thrown in with the wolves – almost literally. She was invited at the last minute to attend a retreat with 13 heirs to a large corporation. Even though she is the odd one out, she ends up getting clued into some of the mysterious inner workings of a game they are all playing. Watching Sydney evolve throughout the story – especially at the hands of Kage – was intense. Lots of steamy and suspenseful scenes to keep me hooked!

Truth or Kill is a thrilling new adult story and the first book in this series. I enjoyed the unique plot which is a dark, with a little humour and twisted bloody game. I have read a lot of this authors books that are paranormal, magic books that I loved but love her dark and twisted tale is even better. The story is cleverly woven with intrigue and suspense.
There’s plenty of passion, secrets, vengeance, thrills, deranged games, drama, dangerous agendas, murder, mystery and so much more. This is a short read with lots of twist and turns.

Having not read anything before written by this author I must say I enjoyed Toni’s writing style. I was totally invested in this emotional story. I didn’t realise this was the seventh book in the series but didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything. But having said that I will be going back to read the others. This story is raw and real and full of struggles but you cannot help falling in love with the characters.
This beautifully written tale is Evan and Callie’s story. Evan is dealing with mental health and self-worth problems but one sweet woman who is strong and sassy maybe just what he needs.
Dealing with mental health problems myself brought the story that much closer to home in this wonderful read.

When I saw AD had another book, I jumped at the chance to read it. Blood & Vengeance is the intense second book in this dark series and a great paranormal Vampire romance story. AD does dark paranormal romance well. I loved the mystery, the mythology and historical facts of the Casket Girls from the first book and this one was no different.
Greer, who was stolen from her simple life in Paris and her Dark Knight who has been cursed to live as a blood-sucking vampire, Theron set out to fight for not only their freedom but also those of the casket girls.
AD gives us her version of the Casket Girls from the 1700’s in this twisted dark tale. The beautifully weaved story line is well-developed, the world-building vividly rich, and the characters drew me into the dark side. This compelling story had me hooked from the first book but I think this one was better.
Fear, demon’s, curses, darkness, mystery, are just some of what you will find in this gripping tale that the most hardened paranormal reader will love.

Truth or Kill is a dark romance about a girl named Sydney who finds herself, during spring break, at a retreat with one of her teammates. However, she is confused about why she was asked to come, they were not really friends and her teammate and the people she associates with are heirs to a tech company. She comes to find out that every heir or heiress to the company is here for a “team building” seminar. During the seminar they are introduced to a game called “Truth or Kill”. Sidney doesn’t understand why she needs to be a part of it, but it forced to play this game. During all of this she meets a manager of the resort, Kage. She sees him as similar to her, but senses he is different too. She finds a little bit of solace in him as the game is started and many of the participants’ truths are surfacing, which are not very becoming. Sydney finds herself in many unpredictable scenes with either Kage or the heirs/heiresses during the stay. She quickly starts to put the pieces together about what could possibly be going on and she comes to realize she has to play or she will not make it to the end. She is smart and witty and with the “help” of Kage finds a way to fight. Throughout the “game” she starts to have feelings for this dark and dangerous man, Kage. Will he keep her, help her, or possibly kill her? Will she save herself? I really enjoyed this dark romance. I felt that as I read I was solving a puzzle, which is one of my favorite things to do. As for the characters, Sydney was amazing as a leading woman. She was vulnerable, but mostly brutally honest and strong minded. As someone who can get into the dark romances and bullying scenarios, I really loved Kage. I think what was refreshing about him is the honesty factor his character brought. He was brutal, dangerous, smart, cunning, but also never hid those things from Sydney. She knew what she was getting herself into, for the most part when it came to Kage, and still chose to trust him. I also love how you saw his development, he never became less dark, but he did allow some light in. There were some trigger warnings: knife play, choking, and guns.

Castor’s Kiss is an intriguing Sci-Fi, romance story. This is my first time reading anything from this author and I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the suspenseful plot and the worldbuilding reminded me a bit of the series Atlantis. The story is rife with conflict, danger and characters fighting for their lives and freedom. I didn’t realise this was the second book in the series until I was almost finished but I will be going back to read the others. There is a slow burn romance and finding his mate. This thrilling storyline jumped right into the thick of things from the very start and had great characters that kept me glued to the pages but it was over too soon.

I really enjoyed this read. Dark romance so read the triggers. But holy hell 🥵 I LOVED the spice! I loved the suspense! Kage and Sydney are great for eachother! And kage is just perfect 🤌🏽🥵 he’s got this dark side but has a soft side when it comes to his girl. my first book by A.C. Kramer and I loved it. Sydney and kage aren’t your typical fairy tale. They’re messed up and twisted and I’m HERE for it. Highly recommend!

Castor’s Kiss is a sci-fi romance story. This story reminds me of a coupling between any science fiction story but adds in the ideas behind The Hunger Games. It starts by introducing you to Mia, who has been enslaved by Throl, a leader from a different planet. Mia is forced to fight for her life everyday in the arena, luckily she is one of the best known fighters. She has been fighting for some time – Throl had taken her from other captors that tortured her. She believes her crew have all been captured or perished and she is on her own to survive. However, an Atlantean man, Castor, has been sent to retrieve and return her to her people. What they didn’t expect was the soulmate bond that connected between them. This connection helps lead them to a possible future, but do each of them want that? They are two souls that haven’t really known love, would this connection be able to change that? Would this connection be the link to their survival off of Throl’s planet? This is the first time I have read anything by this author. I enjoyed the book for the most part. I am not really a sci-fi loving reader, but the author kept things moving and interesting. I never felt there was a lull in the story, there was a lot of action, and the love story wasn’t bad either. I think what I loved most was Mia. She is a badass female who doesn’t show fear, but also has a vulnerable side too. She is smart, cunning, and powerful. She is also someone who goes with her instinct so even when she is scared or never loved before, she wasn’t always pushing feelings aside, she dealt with them. I think Castor played a complimentary love interest to Mia. Both were strong, cunning fighters that complimented each other’s style. This is technically not a standalone, but if you wanted to read it that way you could. Although I may not be big on sci-fi romance, I am interested in possibly reading the next book in the series.

Saved by Love is one of the most emotional, touching, and beautiful books that I have read in years. It isn’t often that you find a romance about mental health that can touch your heart. This author has written a book that brings home the importance of choosing your mental health over other things that aren’t of importance. Only you can change your mindset. Choose you. Be you. These are a few of the themes of the book. Callie and Evan have both come from challenging backgrounds. They have been different but both have been challenging to mental health. Callie has handled hers differently as has Evan. The story deals with them finding them finding each other and learning that they are worthy of love. Callie goes for what she wants and Evan learns he is worthy. They learn so much on their journey to love. They are able to find their passion again. What makes your life sparkle? They teach their families and friends. They awaken new sparks sin each other. The characters of the story are magnificent. I fell in love with each and every one of them. They feel like they could have been family. The storyline was original. It felt like one that had never been done. So original and true to the heart. Tears were shed during the reading of this book: happy, sad and of joy. I felt the emotions the characters felt. My house is a mental health/autism house so we felt it, touched it and loved it. I only wish they allowed me to give more then 5 stars. This is phenomenal. I hope to read more from this author. I recommend you buy this one. You won’t be sorry.

Mia has been through some tough challenges in her space travels. At the current moment, she’s being held captive and forced into combat to save her life. She doesn’t feel she is enough nor that she is lovable because of what has happened to her. That is a feeling that makes her relatable to many readers out there. After helping a fellow victim thrown into the ring (turns out she has a pretty important role), things start to change slowly. Castor, an Atlantean come to rescue Mia, get’s played and kidnapped. The action in the story will take your breath away. I was glad to read it on the Kindle. I had to know what was coming next. You could feel the tension, the excitement, the suspense, and the spark. It’s all there. The characters are almost three dimensional. It’s so easy to picture them. The descriptions are so colorful. The plot, smooth with a few twists, is terrific. A fun read that will grab you right from the start and won’t let you go until it’s over. And I love the way the author leaves you wanting more. Where did Nox go? Highly recommend for fantasy lovers everywhere. Out of this world trip.

I found this story to be very intense and dramatic. One of the Casket Girls, Desiree is now hunting the remaining vampires with Theron. She has brought herself through a rough life only to be kidnapped and brought to another life in New Orleans. Theron is doing his best to keep her safe while Greer is in the Underworld for her 3 months. My favorite part of the story is when Desiree laughs and tells Jaxon that Theron is the grumpy older brother when he asks if they have a relationship. That is the best way to describe them. During their hunt, the vampire that fed off Greer came and tried to kill her. Jaxon came to her rescue. Of course, he had a little favor to ask. This led to more of an adventure after they finished their vampire mission. This story has the best adventures. I found myself enjoying all the mystery, suspense, and having to see what happened next. Jaxon brought the next adventure. He and Desiree had some serious sparks at play. Of course, had to keep those under wrap so no one knew. The story is well-written. It even kept with Book 1 of the series. The plot was smooth with no chunkiness. Toss some romance into the story with a few witches and you have the best paranormal, romantic, suspense that I’ve read in a while. I can’t wait for book 3. I felt the sparks between Lucian and Fossette kick in also. Fantastic series. I would recommend to all my paranormal romance lovers and all my paranormal fans.

This book was a little close to home. A few years ago I would not have been able to read it because I was Ellawyn. I wasn’t able to pick up and move to a different state because of my children but I did finally get away. I also found my Beckett. He had the patience of a Saint and did everything in his power to make her feel safe, loved and important. Pops, Pops was the actual main character in this story. I’ll argue with anyone about this. This story has some twists and turns and was so good. It’s a story of finding yourself and proving that you are stronger than you think.

The Colors of Friendship is the first book in the Colors Trilogy by K.R. Raye. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Reye, so I really didn’t know what to expect going into this book. But, who could resist such a pretty cover, and the blurb did intrigue me- so I grabbed a copy and started to explore. What I found was a NA contemporary story with themes of friendship, romance, suspense, college life, challenges, lessons, emotion, and abuse. Some themes could be considered triggers by some readers- so be warned (abuse/ domestic violence). While the story is fairly interesting- I felt it was very slow to get going, and lagged and dragged a lot through the book. This made it difficult to fully immerse myself in the story as I kept being ‘pulled out’ of the storyline. And because I wasn’t fully immersed in the story, I became easily distracted, which I think affected my ability to fully connect with the characters and invest in them and the outcome of their story. I really did want to love this book so much more than I did, but I as this is the author’s debut novel (she has written 2 more since then) and the first book in a trilogy, I will wait to read the other two books to see if the issues I had here were just a one-off thing or not, and where the story goes from here. In Book 3 of this adorable series, Jake’s family is going out of town for a few days and Jake will be staying at the day care center while they are gone. Jake is scared about staying at the daycare, as he is afraid the other animals won’t like him. His best friend, decides to tag along with Jake to offer him some Love & encouragement and helps him face his fears. While Jake is nervous about trying something new, he finds the courage and ends up having a wonderful time with all of his new friends . Even when nighttime comes and Jake is especially nervous. His family packed him his favorite “buddy” Mac to snuggle while he goes to sleep.
Fabulous book written with a heartfelt message for children, focusing on the important message about standing tall and facing your fears—often times turning into an unforgettable adventure. We especially enjoyed the extra information and suggestions at the end of the book to encourage the reader to be kind & helpful.

I highly recommend this book. Once again we meet Jake the growling dog, this time he is exploring his own backyard and comes across some strange footprints which make him a little scared because something strange is on his turf. Jake and his friends went out together to find out what was going on in their neighborhood. What they found was another dog who only had 3 legs. The moral was that it took them a minute to even notice that the dog only had 3 legs because they were so impressed by his ability and they had not even noticed the lack of a leg. Once again the author includes life lessons for the kids to help them grow.

Another excellent book about Jake the growling dog. In this book, Jake is thrown into something new, he has to go to daycare. Going into a new experience can be terrifying, but with help from his friends Jake learns that new experiences are not necessarily bad. The author again provided some helpful tips that will help anyone to cope with going into new experiences and cope with the changes. I highly recommend this book to parents for the kids.

This is a really cute children’s book. This is the first book in a series about Jake the lovable dog who growls all the time. The growling can make others feel like Jake is mad or sad, but that’s not the case. Jake is a very happy dog who just happens to growl. The author includes in the book activities for kids to reinforce the lesson from the book. This is an excellent book and I highly recommend it to parents for your kids.

This was a really well written book! The story itself was not what I expected, and that wasn’t a bad thing! There was more excitement or drama than I anticipated there being and it added a wonderful touch to the story! Loved the main characters and really swooned over the ending! This was a thrilling 5 star read. I was pulled right in from the beginning. The author does a great job with her writing and feels like you are right there with the characters. We continue with Donovan and Shirley’s story. This time they have to protect their family at all costs from the coalition…will they succeed?
If you’re looking for a great paranormal suspense this is the series for you. We get more on the edge of your seat moments. All of the characters added a great element to the story. I look forward to reading more from this series and author.

Book 2 in this sweet series was another great hit with the littles. Focusing on the message of the importance embracing each other’s differences rather than being afraid of them. Beautiful illustrations and an even more beautiful message.
Jake and his friends were out walking on Jake’s trail one morning when they stumbled upon some scary tracks. While their imaginations ran wild, they thought of all kinds of scary things that could have left the odd tracks on the trail. When the friends came together to further investigate, they found that it was another dog who left the track, however this dog only had 3 legs. The friends learned the important lesson of it’s ok to be different and that our differences make us unique.

What a start to the series! When I came across the book initially, I was drawn to it for the name, which I found unique yet intriguing. The book was the exact same way in my eyes. The author did a great job at making relatable characters through Kally and Max, and the love story between the two of them is one of the cutest I’ve seen. I related to Kally a lot, also feeling that I was not worthy of love at some point in my life, but just like me, I love watching her discover that she is after meeting Max and then deciding if he was worth the trouble or not. Even though Max wasn’t the most unique character I’ve read in a romance novel, there were small things about him that I fell in love with, making it easy to understand the feelings that she has for him. I also love the small mystery twist to the novel, surrounding her family and specifically her grandfathers death, it definitely helped me in finishing the book quickly. I’m so glad I read the book, and am excited to read the next one in the series.

This book is a story of three interwoven romances, all three leading to a book store. There is a sweet bookshop owned by a match maker Leona, who tries to bring couples together. Leona first brings two lovers together by deliberately making a Christmas eve package mix up. That entails in the pair spending the Christmas holiday together and finding love. The second time, she succeeds in rekindling the love in a divorced couple. In the journey, she finds love herself with a handyman who comes to repair her book shop. The book can easily pass off as a hallmark romance movie, and gives happy vibes. With clean romance and small town feel, it is a very pleasant read. I enjoyed the book.

Sweet story for kids. Beautiful illustrations and even more beautiful message. My son & grandson enjoyed me reading the book to them. Jake is a dog who is often misunderstood, as he is always growling. People think that he is mad, but he really is not—growling just happens for him, even when he is happy. This book outlines to the reader the importance of being thankful & expressing gratitude, as well as being kind to others and even goes as far as suggesting a list of ways to demonstrate each of those attributes.

I love this series and this book is no different! Amazing! I love how the author deals with tough subjects throughout the series. I was fond of Jonas at first but grew to love him as I continued to read. I loved Mackenzie from the beginning! I can’t wait to see what comes next!

First off, I highly recommend you just jump right into this book. Do not ready any reviews….you don’t want anything given away. This book had me on the edge of my seat ’til the very end….I had no idea which way it would go.
I’m going to try to do this review justice without giving too much away. Sera is a great FMC. She works hard, knows what she wants, and is good at what she does. As a hired assassin, she usually has no problem with the follow-through…until him! Cassius is a wise and kind-hearted man. However, he feels something is amiss with his meeting of Sera…he just needs to figure out what it is. These two have amazing banter, some H-O-T scenes, and the gamut of emotions (lust, love, hate, betrayal….you get the picture). However, at the end of the day, Sera must decide if she will follow orders or her heart? And how will Cassius deal with the fact that someone close to him has betrayed him?
This book was one of the best books I have read this year! It is filled with the kind of back and forth that kept me turning the pages until the very end!! It has been a while since I have been so enthralled with a book that I did not notice the passage of time….I just sat and read from beginning to end!

I love snuggling up to a cozy mystery and I enjoyed this story! Set in the 1860’s…. coming off of a long journey on a boat are women “brides” from Australia looking to make their way in British Columbia. All of the women turn to Alyssa when things get complex as a hotel owner ends up dead…something wrong with the gold that is being stored….and to top everything off an epidemic and a killer is on the loose! Twists and turns along the way, a little love interest…. I also love how all the women look up to Alyssa and are hopeful she can find the killer before it is to late.

This story was full of diverse characters, friendships, a terrific plot, a beautiful cover and so much more. I have personally never read anything by this author before but after reading this one. I will be on the lookout for more. Their writing style was unique, their character development was terrific, and overall the story was amazing. Full of a hopless romantic, a jerk the size of Texas, and friends that will do anything to protect each other this book was impossible to put down.
