WOW! First let me tell you, STOP! Starting the first book in this series is in my opinion where this series starts. Getting to know all of the valuable characters will only bring the series together as you start to read book 5. Having said that, this story just gets better as you turn the pages. This is Edward O’Connell’s story. His life takes so many journeys. His life from Priesthood to finding Lisette. Lisette has a story of her own, making this a story well worth the wait. This story will play with all of your emotions, from both of the main characters. I love this author and her writing skills. Her story is fast paced and will keep you wanting so much more. I can hardly wait to see what her next series brings us.

I love that this is a continuation from book one, Ashes! This modern day Little Red Riding Hood has some unexpected twists and turns throughout. A very enjoyable read that makes it hard to review without giving too much away!

Oh my word poor Kenna has just had the worst time ! Her husband cheats on her , to add insult to injury the other woman got the promotion meant for and then she looses her cool with her boss and then is escorted out the building by security and then she gets tidings that her aunt has passed away ! She may not have known the aunt but it’s still a blow and she’s off to Sunshine Key to sort her estate and I think it’s just what she needs to rediscover herself and remember who Kenna is ….
Dec isn’t exactly a ray of sunshine but he has to share the boat club left to him and Kenna and she may just be his ray of sunshine 😉from house renovations to heart renovations these 2 are just entertaining to say the least ….they’re the perfect example of first impressions don’t last 😉

Amanda and, her friend, Elaine go through a series of science experiments. This book goes through twelve different experiments and does a wonderful job explaining things. At the end of each it explains how or why it did or didn’t work. The experiment with the magnet I did laugh at the magnet on her head. There are some bigger words than younger children would know or fully understand, but easy enough to explain them if need be. This is such a fantastic read for little ones with curious minds on how things work.
I really enjoyed this book. The first mystery book that I read was Agatha Christie’s ‘Murder On The Orient Express” and it is the reason I continue to read mysteries to this day. This story was original and exciting to read through. I had no clue who the murderer was and I was honestly surprised at who the murderer was. I thought there was going to be a big plot twist but turns out I was reading WAY deeper into things than I needed. If you’re looking for a quick mystery to get you through the day, this one is certainly worth picking up!

Salt Love is a Romantic Comedy that will have you turning the pages till the end. I absolutely loved reading this book and found it had the perfect mix of humor to keep you entertained till the end. This is a fairly new author to me but I can say she’s got a new fan. I’m going to be looking into what other books she has written. What a wonderfully written second chance romance where you never know where you might find love. I highly recommend reading this book and I look forward to reading more from this Author.

This being my first introduction to this talented author I was not at disappointed at all. The author’s writing was engaging and heartfelt, and really knows how to draw readers in. This is a Rom Com for sure that explores themes of love, second chances, and personal growth. I found it to be humorous, fun, snarky and beautifully balanced. With beautifully built characters, main and secondary ones, which made reading the story all the better. I 100% look forward to reading more books by Marika Ray, especially if they’re all this good. 🥰

After seeing the cover my interest was piqued. This is my first time reading this author Lynn Wood. This author’s writing style is fluid and engaging, with vivid descriptions that bring the settings to life and enhance the tension-filled atmosphere. This action-packed thriller definitely keeps you on your toys and keeps you guessing on what’s going to happen next as secrets are unraveled and the characters face moral dilemmas. I Don’t usually partake in reading books with political themes. But I had to give it a try because I mean who doesn’t love a good conspiracy theory lol. I will also definitely be reading the next book in this series. I look forward to reading more from this author!

This was so much fun to read. Hilarious, I would totally want to be Kenna. I thought the way she went through everything was so much like a roller coaster, you laugh and want to cry. Perfect beach read.

I loved Kenna from almost the very beginning. Her fairly normal life is turned upside down with a phone call. Her marriage is over after finding out he was cheating with her work enemy, after a not so private confrontation she has to figure out she’s going to do next. Off to Florida to take care of her estranged Aunt’s estate. Kenna’s strength and resilience during one of the darkest times in her life was impressive and at times funny I could relate to the hair incident unfortunately.
Dec is happy with his life on the Key. He fishes and takes care of things for his neighbor and when she died he isn’t expecting anything at all, but Kenna is the biggest surprise of them all
There are definitely some laugh out loud moments like the hair incident or the gator. I will be watching for more books by Ms. Ray and hopefully we will see what happens next on Sunshine Key.

Raccoon Reunion is a super cute novel written in a kid friendly, easy to understand way that explains how anxiety can really run away with your imagination. It can make you dream up any number of things that could potentially happen and stress you out so much that you don’t partake in fun activities, such as a family reunion, because you are to nervous or scared. Rocky finds out that the family reunion is not everything he imagined it would be. It was fun, exciting, they played fun games, and went dumpster diving. He even made friends, the country raccoon, and him the city raccoon, share experiences. It was wonderfully illustrated with cute pictures and super accessible.
I had only read one other book by this author before, but I enjoyed it so much that I had to pick this on up as well. I’m so glad I did because it was the refreshing romantic comedy that I needed! I found myself laughing out loud at a few moments in the book while others tugged at my heart. It took me a little bit to find my reading rhythm, but once I did there was no putting it down. The characters are well thought out and developed. Kenna and Dec will have you rooting for them the whole time as you keep turning pages to find out what happens. If you are looking for a wonderfully fun summer read that has great banter and emotions, please pick this up and get lost for the afternoon! I am looking forward to seeing more work by this author in the near future.

This is the third book in the Madame Chalamet Ghost Stories series, and it’s my favorite so far! I highly recommend reading the first two books in this series because the storyline continues with each installment. It was a rather quick rollercoaster of a read and found myself wanting more as soon as it ended. I admire Elinor so much with her wittiness and determination having a strong presence in this book more so than the others. If you are new to the Gaslamp fantasy genre, this is definitely the best to start with. The detective feel throughout the story definitely has a Sherlock vibe, and I love it. I cannot wait to dive into the next book series!
Discovering Desire is the third book in the Shattered Embrace series. I thought it was a well-written, steamy, romance novel that will keep you entranced from page one. I do recommend reading book one and two before reading this one as it all becomes a more cohesive, and it’s more easily understood when it comes to the characters and the events in this book. Discovering Desire has a little bit of many different tropes such as an Alpha Hero, protective male, drama, Navy Seal, Billionaire, sex club, morally grey characters, mafia connections, and an intro into BDSM. You won’t regret reading this series.
The second book in this trilogy gives up updates on the leads from book one while taking us on a journey in the life of Rachel.
She was abruptly dumped by her boyfriend at the end of book 1 and now she’s trying to overcome that loss. No one else liked him (well, except for Tess) so they aren’t super supportive. She goes on a dating site and finds someone she’d be interested in. The date is set at her favorite restaurant. She ends up being stood up by her date. Then, the appetizer she’s wanting isn’t available. Nothing is going her way until Miguel shows up.
Miguel is having a rough day too. The kitchen help isn’t paying attention to the temperature of the oil and he’s having major flashbacks. Then he goes to tell a patron that her appetizer isn’t available and next thing he knows, she thinks he’s her date. Long story short, Miguel makes up for the lack of calamari and makes his mushroom ravioli a day early. Miguel joins Rachel for dinner and the start of a new relationship is blooming.
I’m loving this series so far and look forward to book three! The challenges these couples face are real ones experienced in today’s world. I almost feel like a part of this large family!

This book is full of grief, pain, lost loves, redemption, and healing. I love the chemistry between Ryan and Tess even though things moved way too fast in my opinion. I laughed and cried reading this story!

Spirit Guide is the third book in the Madame Chalamet Mysteries series. I have been thoroughly enjoying this series of ghostly mysteries so it’s a treat to read another book! In Spirit Guide, Elinor is brought in to help find a missing woman whose disappearance may have something to do with the Morpheus Society which trained Elinor (and has recently saddled her with a troublesome apprentice, Twyla).
I read the first couple of books out of order (I love food-themed books so couldn’t resist Delicious Death!) but I’d recommend reading the series in order, starting with Ghost Talker, to get to know the characters and see them develop over time.
This is an exciting mystery with fascinating paranormal elements. Elinor’s earlier forays into the Beyond have opened up possibilities that were not previously considered. While Twyla lacks control over her abilities, she does seem to have a natural inclination which proves both dangerous and useful.
This book gets five stars from me! Thoroughly engaging and entertaining. I’d recommend it to fans of gaslamp fantasy and anyone who enjoys a mystery and a ghost story.

As expected, this romance novel starts with Kenna having all the bad things happen one right after the other, and Dec comes to save the day. Throughout the story Kenna does have some self growth, however, Dec does have to catch up eventually. I love how the author intermingles the minor characters to make the story more entertaining for the reader.

An enjoyable kids book to help them learn how to handle severe weather. Charlie and Abby learn how to have boxes packed for emergencies not only for the people but for their animals as well. Oscar and Emmy are well taken care of during the hurricane, possible tornadoes and flooding. This book teaches while being a cute story.

I’ve read the previous selections in this series and each book is packed with more mystery, ghosts and detective work for Madame Chalamet, who is part spirit guide and detective. Madame Chalamet and her companion, Archambeau, use their skills to help find some kidnapped girl of a nobleman. As you read each page, you become lost in its vivid illustrations bringing back in time to this “steampunk” atmosphere. It is highly suggested to read these books in sequence to get a better understanding of background and characters. Each book has a different mystery that unfolds. Another bonus is that Madame Chalamet is shown as such a strong female lead character and this a quick mystery read!

Salt Love was an easy read about taking your life back and not being afraid to get what you want and deserve in life. The characters feel deeply and are so relatable.

Immediately, Kenna disliked Dec even though she thought he was insanely hot! They became friends which was inevitable since they are neighbors for at least the next year and will be running a business together. Dec sees Kenna at her worst when she breaks down and he also has a chance to see her at her best. The both develop feelings for eachother but, should Kenna really have feelings for a man before her divorce is even final? And Dec has a secret that will come out and Kenna feels Like he lied to her all along. She feels like he’s a different person and she doesn’t even know him anymore. Will they be able to build a relationship or will the secrets be a deal breaker and end what they have before it even really begins. I really enjoyed reading this book but I knew I would because I love everything by this author.

Spirit Guide: Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries by Byrd Nash. This is the third installment in the Chalamet Ghost Mysteries series and I just loved it. It picks up right where the last one left off so I do recommend reading them in order. Elinor and Tristan continue to grow their relationship and solve crimes together. After Elinor’s dad is murdered she is trained as a medium so she works with local officials to solve crimes. In this mystery they are looking for a missing nobleman’s daughter who was researching the mysterious Morpheus Society. The more Elinor and Tristan look into this society the more strange things happen. A high ranking member of this society ends up doing really bad things between the realms. Will they be able to find the missing girl before she’s gone forever or before someone else disappears? Such a fun read. Love this series!
Salt Love: A Summer Romantic Comedy by Marika Ray. This is such a emotional read about Kenna who married her high school sweetheart and such a hard worker. Finding out in the same week that her husband was cheating on her and her favorite Aunt passed away. Being served divorce papers and finding out she is part owner in a boat club and a new house left to her by her aunt in Florida in the same week is a lot to take in. Heading to Florida she is so down on herself feeling like a complete failure. When she arrives in Florida she finds out that 1/2 of the boat club is owned by a hot, grumpy guy named Dec. Dec was super grumpy but he felt a pull towards Kenna and can’t stay away from her. They end up spending time together and getting closer. While working on her house and working at the boat club gives her a sense of purpose and Dec makes her think she might believe in love again. Kenna has a lot of funny situations happen and this book will make you laugh out loud.

Irresistible Bond: Central Florida Stories by Victoria Saccenti. I loved this book. Its the story of Storm who works undercover for the DEA. She is attached to her friends Marcus and Barrington who are cousins, all thru growing up but when she left to join the DEA they lost touch. Storm comes from immigrants where Barrington and Marcus are from a very wealthy family. Before Storm left to join the DEA she overheard the cousins families talking bad about her because of her being poor. She left before the cousins could take up for her. While working undercover she is kidnapped and tortured by drug lords and thinking about her relationship with the cousins and her love for them is what keeps her alive. Finally rescued by her fellow DEA people she ends up in a hospital wanting to call Marcus and Barrington but they beat her to the punch by showing up at the hospital declaring their love for her as well. The only agree to a relationship as a threesome so she has to agree to that. Such a steamy love story.

They have been on many adventures and great journeys since then. I suggest you start with the first book to understand who the key players are and how they met. This fun children’s story is easy to read and is aimed at tweens around age 11 to 13. It is a good mix of paranormal and fantasy with mythological beings, plenty of action, mystery, suspense, drama, danger, dire warnings, and challenges, and much more. Tally is confronted with ancient myths and will need all her strength to make a decision that could change everything. There is something for anyone to enjoy if you love a good tween adventure story.

Just look at the wonderful cover which promises to reveal all the unknown, dire and devilish secrets inside. Each author brings their own uniqueness, their own twists, their own quirks, their own passion to the table and do it so credibly.
Each story brings cosmic horror, eldritch menace, destruction, chaos, mayhem, and madness which is exciting because you never know what you are going to get and that adds to the anticipation of things to come. Each story is as intriguing as it is engrossing and will have you on the edge each and every time.
Beware humanity for you are nothing to the powerful wreaking havoc wherever they go.
“Tally and the Angel: The Sands of Time” is the fourth installment in the Tally and the Angel series, and I’m thrilled to report that it’s just as captivating, if not more so, as its predecessors. Author Eleanor Dixon masterfully weaves together ancient Greek mythology with modern-day adventure, resulting in a thrilling tale that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The story is full of action, suspense, and mythology. Dixon does an excellent job of bringing ancient myths to life in a way that’s both accessible and captivating. Or customs still around today, like celebrating one’s “name day.” The world-building is rich and immersive, transporting readers to the sun-kissed Greek islands and ancient temples.
The characters are well-developed and relatable, particularly Tally, who is struggling to come to terms with her own identity and purpose. Her relationships with both Theo and her angel are nuanced and complex, making it easy to become invested in their fates.

I thoroughly enjoyed “The Monkey Island Murder: A Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery” by Rosalind Barden P. This lighthearted, humorous mystery is perfect for fans of 1930s-set mysteries with a touch of whimsy.
The story is full of colorful characters, including Sparky’s guardian, Tootsie, a former silent movie star; her assistant Gilbert, a.k.a. the goblin; and various eccentric suspects and allies. Then there is “Sparky” herself, as she says, her crook name because Ambrosia Brown doesn’t suit her (her real name). The characters are well-written and memorable, making it easy to become invested in their stories.
The mystery itself is engaging, with plenty of twists and turns to keep readers guessing. The author does a great job of weaving together clues and plot threads, keeping me curious until the very end.
One of the standout aspects of this book is its unique setting. The 1930s Los Angeles setting adds a fascinating layer of historical context to the story, and the inclusion of Prohibition-era gangsters and flappers adds to the atmosphere.
