It is another intriguing paranormal romance, with shifters, magic, mystery, drama, emotion, chemistry, interesting quirky characters, shamans, sorceresses, vampires, soul mates, secrets, danger, tension, intrigue, mystery, suspense, and wonderful world building. What happens when two worlds collide. One a beautiful shaman and the other a rare and powerful dragon shifter. Fate is about to take them on the adventure of a lifetime. The author had me at dragon shifter- the rest was a wonderful bonus! I am definitely hooked on this series now and am looking forward to Book #4! Happy reading.

No Names to Be Given by Julia Brewer Daily appears to be the author’s debut novel. It is an historical women’s fiction story that will tug on your heartstrings. It is set in the 1960’s and follows several characters through their experiences as unwed mothers in a time when society frowned upon such things. This story is about unwed mothers, pregnancy, societal expectations, shame, scandal, bigotry, fear, abuse, challenges and adoption (forced and otherwise). This was a bit of a confronting story for me, and my heart ached for what the characters endured.

The Traveler is the first book in The Traveler series, and debut novel, by Deborah Dugan. It is a fantasy/sci-fi with time travel, adventure, originality, imagination, and a touch of the bizarre. What a wonderfully strange and unusual tale this turned out to be- in a good way. I am still thinking about it all this time later- so it definitely made an impression. It was quite unexpected- as I dove in blind, without reading the blurb- just going off the title, cover, and the fact that it showed up as a recommended sci-fi read. So, it took a beat or two to get my head around what I was reading. The Traveler is an ancient ‘being’ who has travelled the universe and taken on various forms over time, as a means to gaining knowledge and power. We take a front row seat as he tells his lengthy story to Tristan, a human, with a few issues of his own. What happens when The Traveler finishes his story? Well worth the read to find out. A unique, interesting, and fun read. Happy reading!

This was my first experience with this author and I am hooked!!! This was a page Turner. I could not put it down. I am going back and reading the first two!! This story had strong character development and the tale was both character and story driven. This kept me guessing and I am usually good at figuring them out, not this one! Every twist and turn unearthed new information and kept me on the edge of my seat!!

The narrator of this story was amazing. His voice was perfect for all of the suspenseful moments and determining plot twists. The book took place in such a great fantasy world and I love that I got the chance to escape to it!

I knew as soon as I saw that K.G Fletcher had written a Christmas romance, that it would be wonderful- and she didn’t let me down. I would love to see this made into a movie- it’s such a sweet, swoony, and steamy story that made my little heart go pitter-pat! I love everything about the Christmas season- but my favorite part is being able to binge Christmas books and movies- and this book has zipped to the top of the list as one of my firm favourites. Finding out that it is the fifth book in the Reigning Hearts series was just icing on the cake for me. Murder Off Route 82 is the third book in the Eve Sawyer Mystery Series by Jane Suen. This series follows Eve Sawyer who is a college journalism student with quite a talent for sniffing out a good story, and a bit of danger in the process. This story picks up just after the events in Book Two. Eve is back at university after her summer holiday at Lolly Beach- but we all know how that turned out- instead of relaxing she and her friends spent their time solving a murder mystery. Eve is glad to be back and is excited to start the new school year and get back to ‘normal’. But she’s barely had time to unpack before she’s drawn into a missing persons case that will have Eve racing to follow the leads to uncover what happened to the missing student. Throw in a few dead ends, a ticking clock, danger, an agenda, secrets, lies, and a bit of a twist, and we get a great little suspenseful cozy mystery. If you have not read the previous two books, I recommend that you do, as even though you could read this book without knowing what happened previously- the first two books really help to set the scene, introduce characters, and contain interesting information that I feel will enhance your reading experience of this instalment. I wonder what mystery awaits Eve, and us, in the next book?

This book is the first of its kind that I’ve read. It has opened my eyes and I will be looking forward to more books. There were a ton of quotes I could’ve chosen, but one stuck out. The quote I chose for this book is: “Everyday magic is just that—simple, accessible ways to conjure abundance, happiness, and health.”
Highly recommended for non-fiction and self-help lovers.

I enjoyed this read. At times, I felt like there was a lot going on. I feel like the author did an excellent job in world building and weaving in its backstory throughout the story. I enjoyed how she wove together the relationships between characters. I appreciated how I didn’t always see the twists and turns coming, too. This was an excellent beginning to what promises to be a pretty epic trilogy! Looking forward to book 2!

This was a thrilling 5 star read. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down. Lazarus (Oz) quickly became my favorite in this series.
Sasha comes to Chicago to work, she ends up getting a call from an old friend asking her to help with something. Little did she know who her friend’s son was, Oz. When they came face-to-face old feelings came flooding back. You can feel the attraction between them but Oz tries to keep her at arms length to try and protect her. His crazy father is still on the loose and until he finds him none of his loved ones will be safe.
Will Oz be able to keep her safe? Will he finally give in to his feelings for her?
Overall I really enjoyed this book, it was the last one in the series. It can be read as a stand alone but it’s much better if you read them all. All of the characters added a great element to the story. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. I look forward to reading more from her. The Web of Humanity by Maria Turchin. This is an amazing read about history, mystery and families. It is a deep thought provoking read and its best read slowly. Its the story of Anna Venu who is very intrigued by her Grandmother. Her grandmother has traveled from Berlin, to Austria and back to the US during WWII and many things happened during that time. Anna is frustrated because her grandmother refused to talk about it and her grandfather knew very little about it as well. Wanting to find out more Anna travels to Austria to see if she can find out more and boy does she. She finds out things she may not even want to know. When she finds a photograph she travels from Austria to Berlin to try to track down people in the photo that can maybe tell her more about her grandmother. What she finds out is a lot! This read is very deep and is best read slowly so that you won’t miss anything. Anna finds out things that may have been better left alone. This book will grab you and not let you go til the very end. Great historical read based on true events!

A Cold Creek Christmas: A single dad, small town holiday novella (Reigning Hearts #5) by K.G. Fletcher
This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. The author knows how to keep her readers entertained. This book is amazing and had me hooked from the beginning. I had a hard time putting it down.
Amber hasn’t ever had a Christmas that she has liked. When she meets Giovanni he opens her eyes to Christmas. The thought of him having a daughter scares her, but it doesn’t stop her. The quote I chose for Amber is: “He’s making breakfast? Of course he is. He’s a chef, Amber. Act surprised and enjoy every delicious morsel. And for God’s sake, don’t even suggest mimosas. Can’t have another repeat of last night.”
Giovanni is a single dad who is now living with his grandmother. He’s taking over her shop and needs to live up to her name. When he learns Amber’s story he vows to make it the best first Christmas she’s ever had. The quote I chose for Giovanni is: “I want to kiss you, Amber. I’ve wanted to kiss your pouty mouth all evening.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

This isn’t a genre I read often but I thought I would take a chance on this one. It took me a little while to get into it but once I did I was hooked. The author did a great job building a world full of fantasy, action, magic, and great characters. This book is different from any other fantasy books I have read before and that sets it apart and makes for good reading. Ian Troy has spent a very long time running away from his past but people haven’t forgotten what he did. There is certainly a high price to pay for using magic. We are taken on an adventure in this story and left wanting more. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.

This is the last book in this series and what an ending it was. Although I did not read all of the books (I think I missed the first two) I still fell right into the books, the characters, and continued from there. This book concentrated on Lazarus and Sasha. These two have been attracted to each other for a while but have pushed each other away because of personal priorities and misgivings. Finally they are doing something for themselves. As with the other books, these characters pull you in and make you feel like you are a part of the story. And the connections these brothers have, although hard to grasp all the hurt and issues they have is amazing. The author did a wonderful job with this conclusion to the series.

The author has done it again!!! I’ve read another of her series, so I was really excited to sink my teeth into another of her fantasy series. With her story, and the narration this is easily my favorite audible. The narrator did an absolutely phenomenal job bringing this story to life. I haven’t ever heard anyone do quite so many different vocals, and do them WELL.
This dark, intense, and highly action packed story is gripping from beginning to end. I picked it up and simply couldn’t put it down. It was a little raunchier than I was expecting, so I had to take some breaks. The main character can be a bit of a rake. I would have liked to see a little more character development, which may be happening in his next adventure.
All in all, I can’t wait to read the second book and find out what happens next.

This is a final book in The Dark Sparrow Series. It was good, I definitely need to read the other books because the characters are developed and rich but I didn’t completely understand the back story and previous plots are mentioned. Lazarus and Sasha are a complete package and this seems to be happily ever after. The side characters make this book all the more entertaining. This is an action packed plot with crime and romance that had me so excited to keep reading. This has great cover art and I am disappointed that I was a bit lost. What would you sacrifice for family? A story true to its name the conclusion seems perfect for this book so I can only imagine the rest of the reads. I truly enjoyed this author and I will be looking out for the rest of the series.

This is my first experience with Eve Sawyer, but the 3rd book in the series. I’ll be going back to book 1! This book was easy to follow and a fine stand alone story, but I always enjoy the extra from reading a whole series and having more backstory to characters. This is a really great, fast paced, quick read.

Captivating with a shocking ending. Following Ian Troy as he navigates how to save the kingdom from war and other powerful shinrees all while battling his own demons. This is a story that will have you wondering what’s next. Initially I struggled to get into the book but it didn’t take long that I found myself not wanting to stop listening. The narration was fantastic and helped be to tell the story. The character development was strong especially when you think you’ve figured out a character and it all changes. I am definitely ready for the next bookin this saga.

Practically Pagan: An Alternative Guide to Magical Living focuses strongly on how magic takes place everyday. When practicing magic it’s important to realize that it’s not always complex, but it’s also never easy work. Magical Living also discusses how each of us hold different magic inside of us based on our ancestral and cultural magic so it is important to have a strong recognition of where we come from and what we are wanting from our magical selves.
The book is broken into sections of Everyday Magic ranging from self-care to exploring for the unexpected. However, the book itself is a lot of the unexpected. I went in thinking I would be finding ways to live in my magic, grow in my magic, and overall strengthen my magical through everyday living. What I got is definitely different. It breaks down what we think we need to know, what we need to unknow, and how we can break free from some of the things tying our magic down.
It definitely falls more into a self-help style of writing for the busy, exhausted witch offering small ways we can alter our lives to live more magically. This title helps show us ways to create balance between the mind, body and soul as well as the life around us. It offers guiding questions to help process the reading and gain stronger insight to your thoughts and desires about what you want.
In the Introduction, the author states immediately that if you’re reading this book it’s because the book called to you. As I was reading the chapters, it became clear that while I’m not mestiza, this book is definitely written for witchy individuals in similar situations as me.
This book has definitely made it into my rereading pile for the times I need a refresher in believing in myself as well as the idea that I can do hard things. I am looking forward to taking in the information I can find in the other Practically Pagan titles.

This is the first book of a series exploring multiple races at war with one another for the same reason… its all about control. it begs the question can the races find a way to get along?
I’m very intrigued as the final chapter left me with my jaw hanging open at its ending that I wasn’t expecting.

However there is so much more to Ian’s Story as you meet the characters surrounding him and journey into a deep dark tunnel of secrets of his birth, his heritage and all the lies and manipulation that have plagued his entire existence.
This is the first book of a series exploring multiple races at war with one another for the same reason… its all about control. it begs the question can the races find a way to get along?
I’m very intrigued as the final chapter left me with my jaw hanging open at its ending that I wasn’t expecting.

Well, this is my second book from this author, and I’m in love. The story between Will and Tori is wonderful and heartfelt. If you have not read the first book you need to go back and get the details! Will is fighting cancer and fighting hard. Tori walks in and brings light to the darkest hospital room! But after finding out Will revoked his DNR, there was a fighting chance for him! Also, a long road of recovery. But with Tori by his side and his caring friends and family, there is nothing they can’t do! I felt like I was right there in the hospital room with them. The author is on point and this two book series will not be the last for me.
As a spiritual person, the title of the book piqued my interest. Right before stumbling upon it, I found myself browsing the aisles of my local bookstore loading up on pens, journals and looking for that perfect book that would resonate. I really appreciated the author’s view and personal tie in the information she offered throughout the book’s pages. Some of the suggestions and points surrounding magic in your everyday life were things that I had promised myself I would start being more mindful of. The timing of this book couldn’t have been more perfect and I highly recommend it to those looking for a daily dose of subtle magic.

This novel is full of magic and adventure. The plot is intriguing with good and evil fighting to win. The scenes are descriptive and vivid in a movie like fashion. With a haunting past the main character Tory has to persevere in order to survive. This magical fantasy novel is sure to keep you wanting more!

This book was awesome and truly unique. The setup was clean, the magic system came with consequences and there is truly no “right side” of the war. It shows the complexity you find in a normal society. The book starts out a bit slow as you get to know the main character and get the setup for his history and what condition the world is in, but when it picks up, it is non-stop progression. There are also twists and turns I didn’t expect or see coming. The author definitely didn’t take it easy on these people! A great read for someone looking for an action-packed fantasy novel.
