I enjoyed this shorter holiday romance story. This is an author I have enjoyed from the first book I have read of hers. This one is no different. This is a well written story that is written with a lot of holiday spirit and heart. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the author’s use of details. The characters are not only relatable but brought the story to life on each page. This is a faster paced story that I found to be engaging and just a great story. A holiday story about Thea and Ben’s story. Neither one of them is looking for love. One does not have the best of luck with men and the other feels he has nothing to prove or gain by women. How can one sweet encounter change both of them? What will the holiday fate have in store for them? I really enjoyed their chemistry and their growth throughout the story. This is worth the pick up. I highly recommend this book.

She did it again! I loved this story and hated when it ended. It was a very quick read yet felt like a much longer book. Miss Valkyrie has a knack for writing quick reads that leave you satisfied and missing nothing. How she packs all the info you need to connect not only to the characters but to the story itself is amazing.
I was hooked at page one. This was a unique take on any shifter story I have ever read. I literally fell in love with ALL of the characters immediately. I must say though that my favorite character in this story was Carissa. Her and Acheron’s time together as he took down all of the details of her life were so amazing. I loved who she was even though her time was drawing near. I truly felt like I was in that room watching these scenes play out. I felt so sad for Acheron as he felt so alone and was forbidden to ever find the mate he so craved.
I’m having a really hard time writing this review. There is so much I want to add as the story keeps playing out in my mind but I am afraid I’ll venture into giving too much away in the process. I will say though that I loved the little twist this author threw in involving Azrael, and that time with Carissa and her story gave him the push he needed to take a chance.
I must say that one of my favorite parts of this whole book is the reverence and honor given to the dying. Where this would normally be a really hard topic this author made it somehow beautiful. I’m in awe!
I would love to see where this story goes, there was enough left at the end of this book to have me really curious about what might come after for Acheron and Errapel, and would love more about Azrael!
I LOVED this book, it still has me thinking about it and replaying the scenes and I really can not wait to read it again! This author is absolutely one of my favorites. Her writing draws me in and makes me step out of my genre comfort zone. That just doesn’t happen very often!

One hell of a ride I don’t usually go for MC type stories but thought I’d give this a go. Totally worth it. This book drew me in and kept me captive as the story follows Red and his rise to becoming Prez of the Satan’s Devils MC. There is a certain rawness to the writing that I absolutely loved. The author does an awesome job at developing the characters, with each one being so well rounded and unique. Cannot wait to dive into part 2.

Check In is the second book in the Bobbins Sisters Series by Debra Parmley. This is a short story that is a fast paced Romance Suspense that will leave you wanting more. There’s one thing I need to say I dislike short stories because everything feels rushed and things tend to be left which leaves us readers craving more. I guess isn’t really a bad thing.. with that being said I enjoyed reading this book, it kept me turning the pages till I finished. Leann has a new job at the bank and her boyfriend just happens to be a cop. What happens when the bank gets robbed Can he save her in time? Find out what happens next in this must read short story. I really enjoyed most of this book. I did have a few issues which are listed below. Otherwise I love the characters and the world that is built. As the story moved along I came to love the characters and “hope” for some love between a couple characters. I went through ups and downs..enjoying characters then disliking or becoming suspicious of them. It is a crazy kind of good!
This is my only issue with the stories. I felt at times it was overly long. I get this is four short books put together so I’m not sure if they could have been shortened a bit. I did skim a bit in the fire crown….so maybe.
Overall I really did enjoy the story and the characters are well developed. I wasn’t a fan of the ending….just like Talise.

Wow – that was an awesome read! I can only describe it as reminding me of The Hunger Games and Avatar: The Last Airbender with several other twists and turns thrown in. This book literally sucked me in from the beginning. I love the use of the manipulation of the main four elements, while also modifying them for use in other ways. I struggled to put this down (a person does have to sleep!) and really enjoyed it. Talise and Aaden are great main characters to follow, each with their own secrets and struggles that held me through to the end. I can’t wait to read the sequel!

A Sweet Christmas by Nicole Richard is a sweet, light-hearted, and captivating Christmas romance. This is my first read by Ms. Richard, so I really didn’t know what to expect from her work. But my love of Christmas romance ensured that I was soon one-clicking a copy for myself to explore. I love this time of year when all the great Christmas stories start showing up on my recommended book lists and I can indulge more in this category. But believe me when I say that Christmas stories don’t have to be limited to just the season- they can be enjoyed all year round. This story was such a fun read. I loved the addition of the bakery and the meet-cute element. Thea and Ben are really wonderfully crafted characters, they were so easy to like and invest in. I was so immersed in the story that time flew past and before I knew it I had reached the end- with a big smile on my face…. This may be my first read from Ms. Richard, but after this, it certainly won’t be my last.

This book offers a fascinating inside look at Red’s life and the type of man that he is. He took on so much responsibility at such a young age. I really enjoyed getting to read the motivation behind everything that he does. Red finds himself in a position that he never expected to be in and didn’t even want when the Satan’s Devils offer him a chance to prospect with them. The author gives a real inside look at what a close knit family the group becomes. Poor Red has been through so much it was nice seeing his accomplishments but the twist cliffhanger at the end made my heart ache for Red once again. I absolutely cannot wait to see how this all plays out in Part 2.

The narrator of this story is a practicing psychologist who loves her job helping people to work through their grief either as someone who las lost someone, or someone who is about to die, but sometimes she takes the time to befriend someone who is terminally ill, but has no other visitors, however, after the last couple, she has decided to take a break from it, however, when her friend tells her she is needed to befriend someone again, she agrees to at least go and see them.
As she makes her way to the Oncology floor, she is thinking about who she is expecting to see, he is called William Everson Jr and he is young, only in his late twenties, but what she sees when she goes into his room for the first time isn’t what she is expecting at all, in fact, he is gorgeous and doesn’t look ill in the slightest. She soon realises that the happy, smiling, young man is actually high on morphine, so she overcomes the shock of her first impressions and asks if she can “Come back tomorrow” and see him again, he agrees and then she leaves.
The next day when she arrives, she meets a completely different person and this one doesn’t want to talk to her at all and just wants to give up the fight to live completely, however, she stays and talks to him about herself, she asks the same question and he reluctantly says yes. As the days pass and the two spend a couple of hours together every day, the two become closer until it is him that starts to say “Will you come back tomorrow?” and this is where everything changes. What will happen between the two as William’s illness takes more of a hold and fluctuates between highs and lows and will he change his outlook on life and death? This is an emotional rollercoaster of a book which will take you on highs and lows as you feel your way through the decisions one young man has to make and see what life is like from the perspective of someone who doesn’t have much of one left.

Any world with Elves in it is where I want to be!! K.M. Wray has captured full attention with this wonderful story, and its truly fantasy written at its finest. The author created this unique realm inhabited by the most amazing magical beings that made you feel as if you were there on the adventure with them.
Zoe and Nix are the main characters and they are entangled together by a dark and dramatic set of events. Nix who is actually Prince Phoenix had to endure watching his parents be murdered as they sacrificed their lives for him and his sister. Zoe’s parents are the ones who killed the King and Queen and doing everything they can to bring her into the darkness. Zoe and Nix must come together to save the realm and stop her parents from their plans. As the story progresses we get the full back story of their lives, and a glimpse of the foreseeable future that is prophesized. The story is full of action, suspense, and dramatic twists that only enhance the story more.

When I tell you I RAN to kindle to read this book after reading No Way Out, it’s hardly an exaggeration. I love the characters in this series. I know mafia families are always close, considering how the men act as a family outside of the mob, but something about the way the families are in books makes me wish I was there. Blood Oath is the perfect example of two people who were destined to be together with the stupid idea that they can stay apart, coming together! The tension is absolutely delicious. Enzo is an overprotective alpha male who tries to protect Sofia from anything and everything, but that just isn’t possible as a mafia princess. Thankfully, Sofia is more than some damsel in distress. This book is full of action and will have you on the edge of your seat at the end. If you love mafia romance, you have to read this book!
The cover art for this book instantly grabbed my attention; it was too beautiful to scroll past! After a quick look at the synopsis I instantly wanted to read it. It certainly did not disappoint! Nash managed to blend my two favorite genres, mystery and fantasy. It was my first novel by this author, but I will be keeping an eye out for more.

This book absolutely has it all. Mafia princess, arranged marriage, and a bodyguard with a hidden identity and personal agenda… No Way Out by Amy McKinley was an incredible read. Liliana is a strong female character who has a father who just views her as a pawn for his agenda. One of the things I loved most about this book was that she wasn’t a damsel, she was incredible. Max is a possessive alpha male (enough said). Overall, I really enjoyed the book and found it easy to get into and it kept my attention the entire time. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves mafia romance as much as I do!

I loved this book till the epilogue!!! I’m so mad with how it ended! You don’t need to give the promise of an epilogue, to just say it will be continued into the next book! Author Brooke May has never frustrated me more! I had every intention of reading the next book till that epilogue, but I digress. I enjoy paranormal romances, it doesn’t matter which branch it’s in. The Mating Call by Brooke May is no different! Lane and Cheyenne, mountain lion shifters, have been beckoned by the call. The mating call can happen at any time in their lives. They are always told when it happens they will know. They definitely knew! It felt like a string forcibly pulling on their chests to come together for each other. It was their time. Brooke May’s book is about how they navigated the call! In a beautiful setting in the mountains of Wyoming, in a small mountain lion pride community, is where their story plays out. Insecurities on both ends have cast doubts and made one wonder if ignoring the call was the better option. No alphas in this one stating mine! Just two mountain lion shifters sizing each other up as they answer true nature’s call to them! Read it! I dare you!

This story took me on an emotional roller-coaster. This book is not for the faint of heart. This was heart wrenching as well as heart warming. You will definitely need to have a box of tissues near when you read this. This is the first book I have read by this author and I am glad I took the chance because the author sucked me into the story and the lives of the characters. The struggles Will goes through while battling this awful disease was hard to read. I am glad that Tori was there with him and brought up the good feelings I needed to feel in a sea of sadness.This book leaves us on a cliffhanger but it is one of hope. I look forward to engrossing myself in the next book. This is a must read.

A Spell of Rowans by Byrd Nash was a very interesting read. Based on the cover and the synopsis I was expecting more paranormal and fantasy, but was pleasantly surprised by a murder mystery, contemporary with some magic mixed in. But that’s not all A Spell of Rowans gives us well defined characters, a mysterious plot, and great word building all pull the reader in. The characters were so beautifully built that you will soon find yourself feeling all of their emotions as if they were a real person. So if your looking for a great book to read this week I highly recommend A Spell of Rowans by Byrd Nash.
Twilight’s Curse is the first book in the Twilight Realm series by K.M. Wray. This book is a Young Adult fantasy story with dragons, elves, magic, adventures, and a good story about coming to age and responsibility. The story is told in a split POV. We are experiencing the story right alongside Nix, a young child-adult, who has witnessed his parents’ death at the hand of a former ally and been forced to go into hiding to protect not just himself but his entire kingdom. We also get to follow Zoe’s journey, a young elf with magical abilities who is tormented and experimented on by her mother when those abilities are discovered. Along the journey towards saving their kingdom, we meet other fascinating characters.
K.M. Wray has created such a magical universe with characters that we can fall in love with as well as despise. The story flows effortlessly as though it truly was just a diary of someone’s life. The way the story is written adds both complexities to the characters as well as simplicity as the story naturally unfolds. It was an easy read and a story that kept my attention and didn’t add extra fluff to make it enjoyable. The language was easy to understand where I feel my 10 year old could easily read and enjoy the book, but my husband and I also enjoyed the story. By the time I finished this book, I was very eager to start the next book in the series. The continuation of the story of the Twilight Realm is set to be an amazing adventure and I can’t wait for more.

I love fiction that has a little flare of magic in its realism. Vic is spunky and sassy and so am I. So I was instantly drawn into the story. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this page turner. The story line and characters are well developed and I walked away asking myself is there another book to this story, which in my opinion is a great thing. When you care enough about the characters and the story leaves you wanting more. You will not regret giving yourself over to this literary gem!

Fantastic book 1 to a paranormal series of mountain lion shifters. I loved how the story flowed in this book of Cheyenne and Lane. I could definitely relate to both characters in this story. Cheyenne is strong willed and wants her independence to find love on her own terms. Lane was out on is own, not by his account, wants to find his mate and have a real family he has longed for. When Cheyenne and Lane meet, at first there was hesitation by Cheyenne. As the story unfolds, it is about letting go of the past and finding love. I really enjoyed this book and very much looking forward to more in this series by Author Brooke May!

Born to Fall completely exceeded my expectations! This is the second book of the Can’t Resist You series, a series that cannot be read out of order, so if you haven’t read book 1, please do so first!
This book, just like the first, was so intense and action-packed. The push and pull of the two main characters, along with the dystopian storyline had me fully captivated the whole way through. As soon as I started it, I knew I was in for a treat, and I ended up reading it in one sitting as all of the detail the author wrote with had me fully immersed in the story and unable to put it down. I also loved the many different POV’s, it made the story feel really well rounded!
If you are looking for your next dystopian read look no further this is the series for you!

Manda, Manda Manda! How can this author write book after book series after series and still have so much to say!? I love Red.
If you have read any of Manda Mellett’s other Devil series you know you’ve read about Red. He’s the Prez of the Vegas Chapter. This story is the making of that prez and all that he faces during his growing up years and all that he thinks he missed out on. There are other characters in this story that have their own stories in other clubs. I love how Mellett makes all the clubs link together. Highly recommend reading everything by Mellett.
In this story, Red faces challenges and heartbreak but still manages to find his way. However, that ending! I knew part of it was going that way but I didn’t think it would end that way! Looking forward to part 2!

I read the first book in this series before picking this one up which made the book easier to read and understand the characters. I recommend reading the first book before this one because it allows you to understand the characters better and follow the storyline. This book is a relatively short read, having finished it in an hour myself. Although short the character development is stellar even though I would have liked to see a little more drama to the storyline. This book is Leann’s story that picks up where the first book left off. She ends up starting a new job at the bank and dating Len who happens to be a police officer. He is the sort of man every girl hopes to catch which makes you fall in love with him super quickly in this book. He calls or checks in with Leann to make sure she is doing alright. The one time she doesn’t contact when she should he finds out she’s in the middle of a bank robbery and is using every skill taught to her to survive. Can Leann survive another run in with a bad guy? Can Len save Leann in time? You’ll have to read to answer those questions and more.

This book definitely catches you in its grip! Ms. Moody did a great job really building this world and its social structures- which I enjoyed the most- and the characters are very relatable. Watching the main character, Talise, evolve from where she was before joining the training for shapers to where she is at the end of the book in the center of the country is great! The trials she faced and her frustration at what was happening to her and around her definitely keep you wanting to know more. The social and political turmoil that is going through the country of Kamdaria was something to pique anyone’s interest if that is your cup of tea-I sure did. This novel does seem to pull inspiration (in my humble opinion) from Avatar: The Last Air Bender and I LOVED THIS! I have yet to run across it through my previous novels and enjoyed the novelty of it! Even though I enjoyed this book immensely, I was rather put off by the jarring inclusion of a relationship with one of the main characters. It seemed to have come out of nowhere and I struggled with why this would develop between these characters. I can appreciate Talise’s inner turmoil about this attraction, but why was she attracted at all? I hope to see more of a reason in book two, and maybe I can understand where Ms. Moody is coming from here.

Come Back Tomorrow is the first book I’ve read by Amy Argent and I look forward to reading more in this series. While the storyline was raw and emotional ( not unlike I was expecting) it was really well written and engaging. I think when I got into this book I was anticipating a companionship less like a romantic relationship. While this story did not play out like I was anticipating, the characters were as heartwarming and relatable as I had hoped. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that wants to read something resembling an emotional roller coaster (in all the best ways). This was a great start to a new to me series and a greater introduction to a new to me, author.

Love Love Love this story and these characters. I love the story line. Sof might be a girl but she is bada.s.s. tough. I don’t think I have read another female character with her strength. Yes, other characters have had their shares of trouble and heartache but there’s just something about Sofia that I absolutely adore. Enz is tough as well and he knows Sof can take care of herself when she tries. Both are Mafia tough. These two together can’t be stopped.
This is not my first book by McKinley but definitely one of my favorites. This story is book 2 in the Mafia Elite Series. You first meet these characters in the first book, No Way Out, and it should really be read first. The actions of other characters lead up to the actions of Sofia and Enzo.
As with any good series, there are unanswered questions in this book which I expect to be answered in the upcoming books. I look forward to reading those as well.
I knew that The Elements of the Crown (The Elements of Kamdaria Book 1) by Kay L. Moody was going to be a book that’s right up my alley, and it did NOT disappoint! This Young Adult Fantasy novel is compelling and the characters are awesome! We follow Talise through a magical academy as she masters the elements and hones her powers – then she meets her new competition. Then, everything changes, and Talise must join together with her enemy to save the empire. There are so many exciting elements and twists that make this book a total page-turner! Can’t wait for the next installment!

This whole book had me on the verge of tears. It really proves that love does not discriminate. Tori has strength to endure being with Will through all his up and downs. I cannot wait to read book two. I wonder if the story will go how I think or completely surprise me.
Come Back Tomorrow, the first book in the Embrace Tomorrow Duet by Amy Argent, was a great read. I really enjoyed the flow of this book. It catches your attention right away and you really want to see the friendship develop between the main characters. Tori is a psychologist working at a hospital. As part of her job, she keeps company with terminally ill patients at the hospital who don’t have family or anyone to talk to. Will is dying. He has terminal cancer, and he is all alone, and he also has a DNR on his file. Tori wants, needs, to find out why he has given up on his life. She arrives at his room and slowly they start to chat. At first Will doesn’t understand why she would even want anything to do with him. But every day she asks him “Can I come back tomorrow” and he says sure. Then the question is asked to Tori, but will that be enough for her to have helped him? I loved the way the author wrote this book. It was a hard to put down read because I always wanted to know what they were going to talk about next time and how their relationship would grow. But I would prepare yourself with tissues because this read is a rollercoaster ride! If you enjoy a good contemporary romance like this, you’ll enjoy this book! I cannot wait to read the second one!
