Victoria Zak knocks it out of the park with Rock Me To The Top! I absolutely love Joe and Melody’s love story! Melody falls in love with a famous drummer from the rock band called Gracefalls not only is Joe the all star drummer but her childhood best friend. This story gave me Nicolas Sparks love story feels but had enough smutty romance to it. It was hard to put it down as you go through the twist and turns with Melody living on the tour bus as GraceFalls manager and falling in love with her childhood best friend Joe. I loved that both had rough past and both come out on top of the world at the end. I found myself crying in some parts because of how much Joe loved her. I really hope there is a second book to see what happens next.

A Spell of Rowans was a very interesting read. It is about a woman named Victoria, Vic for short, whose mother died resulting in Vic going to her hometown to deal with it. As it turns out, it appears as if her mother, Rachel, has been murdered. At the time, Liam, the youngest sibling, gets arrested as a suspect in another murder of a woman named Patty who worked closely with the Rowan’s mother.
The book follows the family trying to get closure and move on from their abusive past while also trying to figure out who the murderer is. Things aren’t adding up. The Rowan’s all have special abilities that their mother hoarded over them when they were children. As a result, the siblings want to get all of this done and over with as fast as possible but that’s hard to do when you may be the next victim in mind.
A Spell of Rowans did not disappoint. You could tell that the author was writing from experience. The way Byrd Nash taps into the emotions of a broken adult due to childhood trauma is spot on. Not only that but the book was also filled with action, magic, mystery with a splash or romance. I would highly recommend this book!
This is such a steamy sweet story of submission and healing. Elgin and Mary Beth have such a unique dynamic from the very first moment they meet. Although they both try to keep their distance as their domme/sub relationship develops, it doesn’t take long for both of them to start to develop feelings. I really enjoyed that this was written with a female domme instead of the typical male domme found in many books. This is also a very unique romance in that the sub was an alpha sub and not what typically comes to mind when you think of a sub male. This book really delves into just how healing and fulfilling a domme/sub relationship can be for those who are drawn to this particular lifestyle. The surprise ending is so fitting and made me laugh and smile simultaneously, because it absolutely stayed true to their special brand of romance.

This was an interesting read about “The Rupture”. The sky ruptures and evil is unleashed on the land. The story is told in a fashion I have not read before. Each chapter or portion of the book is from the experience of the characters at that point and time. Although you are switching and reading the stories of varying people, the author keeps the basis of the story at the heart of the matter. It all really does come full circle. Some of the chapters are very gruesome and disturbing. This was a dark fantasy that makes you think of the evils of the world.

I don’t know how she does it but Ms. Mellett has written another amazing book and I’m so glad they keep coming.
Red’s Peril was a great walk down memory lane along with bits and pieces we may not have known and in my case some things that were forgotten.
Red has been in the background in the previous books and I am so glad we get to know him and the guys in Vegas. I really love how she has connected his time line to the others and helped us fill in some blanks we weren’t even aware of.
There is so much I could say but it all is regarding particulars of Red, his past and his present so I’m going to hold off for now.
Part 2 comes out in three long weeks, have the release date circled on my calendar and will be dropping everything to get this read.
If you are looking for a great book and series you won’t go wrong with Red or any of Satan’s Devils.

It was a lot better than I expected going in! The Elements of the Crown by Kay L. Moody, is a book I typically stay away from. The supernatural element is what drew me to it though. The world the author creates is intriguing, but has some beautiful aspects to it. The Characters, what can I say, there’s a lot of them. That isn’t always a bad thing however at the same time I intend to be vague not to give anything away. Talise at the age of seven was brought from the outer barrier of Kamdaria, known as Storm, to prove she can manipulate the elements. Marmie does everything to make sure Talise gets her chance to make the academy, even giving up her meals so Talise has the strength to cultivate the task at hand. Then there’s Aaden, a mysterious student who shows up at the elite academy, who is just as good if not better than Talise in cultivating and manipulating the elements. Which puts Talise on edge, because if she can’t successfully become a Master Shaper she has no choice but to return and live the rest of her life in Storm. This book is definitely a fantasy adventure that includes love, friendship, enemies, and fighting. If you love a great fantasy, this book is for you! If you like surprise twists and turns, this book is for you! If you like the emotions a book may make you feel while reading it, this book is for you! Believe when I say it has a little bit for everyone, so DEFINITELY check it out! You won’t regret it!!!

I never dreamed this would be my life in charge of a biker gang but they look after me when I need it and become the Prez, but will I ever find the right person to spend my life with since I screwed up the only relationship that ever meant anything to me.
Red has been on a long road, first giving up on his dream as a young boy to become a mechanic to then want to spread his wings and fly to Las Vegas, but when he happened upon some bikers who brought him into the fold and years later he is in charge of the chapter all he wants is an “old Lady” to have a family with but long ago he had that person but it flitted through his hands and will he ever be able to find someone to match her.
Cheryl is floating through life but she is trying to get the handsome biker out of her head, but when she ends up in as Vegas and sees him again the attraction is instant again but will this time be the right time or will life get in the way.
I loved this story, the attraction and chemistry between the main two characters was off the page. Red has pop up in the other books in the various series and you have always just had enough information to peak your interest and then its ripped from you in wanting more and we have more. This is a great introduction to this series and as always with Manda she draws you into the story from the first word to the last and then have you wanting more.
The story is well written and the characters are believable and relatable as the character of Red is flawed but has a good heart and wants to do the right thing, Cheryl is a perfect match for him as she is not a size zero, petite blonde but describe as a curvy full woman which makes the characters more believable and you can relate to them and are rooting for them.
I can’t wait for part two and see where the story goes.

I really enjoyed this Christmas romance. It was full of Christmas magic and really got me feeling the spirit of Christmas. The characters are really well written and relatable which brings the story to life.
Olivia has had a rough time in life. After finding out her sister is engaged to her boyfriend Olivia decides spending Christmas with them is a bad idea so she decides to go away on a cruise to get as far away as possible. This cruise was just supposed to be a chance for her to escape and work on her book. Little does she realise that her hero in her book will come to life.
Jace is a Navy SEAL. He’s on the cruise going to his friend’s wedding. Finding a partner and settling down isn’t on his agenda. Until a chance meeting with Santa changes his whole world and helps him meet the girl of his dreams.
Will Olivia belive that her dream man is actually in front of her and real? Can they both embraced the magic of Christmas and accept the gift that Santa has given them, the love of each other?

Man Oh Man! I was hesitant to read this as I don’t care for duets. I am sure glad I did anyway!(I mean its by Manda Mellett so of course I picked it up) This is really the making of a SD Prez and the intro to the LV SD. We take this trip right along with Red. It gives some insight Into what a prospect and on up goes through. The friends he makes and loses along the way. The questions he has , the biker life he doesn’t want and the girl he cant forget all add up to the story I could not out down!
The author did a great job with this one. I can see why the break was needed. Originally I thought she could just sum it up with a couple chapters and a flashback here and there but I really think she did so much better doing it this way. I was really able to immerse myself into Red’s life and almost felt like I was a little devil sitting on his shoulder..keeping an eye on him.
Overall I absolutely LOVE this story and Red. It really was a journey that I took along with Red. I look forward to the next!
Ps. I keep notes while reading a book. This one had me scrambling and rearranging and its about a mile long 🙂 Kept me on my toes!

This is a nice lighthearted Christmas Romance Story. Olivia in a bit of a bind Jace Moore. Olivia and Jace interactions are really well planned out. Olivia hated living in her sister shadow and just wanted to get away from it all. Nice cute story a bit slow in parts for me.

This book was on par with the last, and I have to admit that I was looking forward to learning more about the story between Nadia and Luke since the last installment. I loved that we still heard from Chelsea and Tom and discovered that their romance was the real deal. Everything seems to be falling together, and, at this rate, all of the brothers will find their true love by the end of this series. It’s bittersweet to think about. Going back to the story: Nadia is well known for her cold heart and inability to feel love or want a relationship. She and Luke have a rocky past – to say the least – and this book filled me with many different emotions over the course of the read. I loved that we learned more about what happened between Luke and his ex-wife, that we were given more insight into what was happening with him and his daughter, and that we gained many glimpses into Nadia’s past. Everything was so well-written and gave us all of the information that we wanted (and that they needed) to overcome their shortcomings and find a way to make it work. Luke’s hardworking, serious demeanor and Nadia’s fun-loving, stubborn exterior are a perfect blend. I am so excited to see what is coming up next for Seth!

I really liked the characters of the Long Claw pride, especially Cheyenne, and her sisters and brother. All are deeply affected by the despicable actions of Casper, their father, who was by turns absent and abusive. While all the children grow up knowing that the mating call is part of life as a lion shifter, and that they will likely meet their mate one day, they are scarred from witnessing the action of their mother’s mate. Despite this, the women are all strong, independent females with unique personalities and interests. Cheyenne is an interesting heroine, one who has quite an emotional and psychological journey in this novel. I felt her deep connection to the land and her kin, and her closeness to family resonated with me. None of the characters are simple or archetypical; they are layered and unique, interesting and flawed. I appreciated this in particular about the book.

In a world where vultures and jackals aren’t meant to be together, Archeron and Errapel defy all odds to be together. This is a wonderful short story that captivates you the entire time, and has you begging for more. It took me about an hour to read, and is well worth it! Crossing my fingers that Naomi Valkyrie writes more stories about these characters!
Wow! What can I say about Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent? For a start it needs to come with a ‘tissues required’ warning. Honestly, if you can read this book without sobbing like a baby then you must have a swinging brick for a heart. I really don’t think that there are enough superlatives or that I have a big enough vocabulary to describe just how amazing this book it. I have to say that it totally wrecked me. I laughed. I cried, oh God, I cried so much. I was angry. In fact, I think I went through every emotion possible reading this book. 29 year old, terminal cancer patient Will Everson has to be one of the best characters that I have ever read, followed closely by Tori Somerset. They both blew me away. This book is a total eye opener to just how awful cancer can be. Reading what Will’s character went through is just totally heartbreaking. I felt so much for him as we went through his awful journey with cancer. This book now has to be up there in my top 10 favourite books ever and I know that I will read it over and over in the years to come. I wasn’t even halfway through it when I bought and downloaded the 2nd book in the duet as I just had to know how Will and Tori’s story ended. This book is worth more than the 5 stars I’m allowed to give it!

Practically Pagan by Maria DeBlassie is aimed at showing the reader how they can create a ‘little more magic’ in their life. The author does this by giving insights through sharing her own journey into everyday magic. She also provides practical examples, things that don’t require anything more than changing your mindset and in the process embracing more mindfulness, as well as emphasising the importance of selfcare. She shows how having a routine can be in itself quite ritualistic. It was great to be reminded of things that I already know but have let slip a little over the past couple of years. Well worth the read!

Snowflakes & Stockings (A Wilton Hills Christmas #4) by Marianne Rice
This is the first book I’ve read by Rice. This is the fourth book in the A Wilton Hills Christmas Series. Although it can be read as a standalone. Snowflakes & Stockings is a great short read and a wonderful story.
Liberty is on the lookout for Maine’s Secret Santa who gives thousands away during Christmas. When she gets down to three people one of them sticks out more than the other two. When she meets Sawyer she doesn’t think it’s him because he doesn’t have Christmas spirit. The quote I chose for Liberty is: “Oh my gosh. I love Noodle, and I haven’t eaten all day either. I swear, if it wasn’t for my camera crew or for Lizzie, the assistant manager at the station, I’d go days without eating. No, that’s not entirely true. My family wouldn’t allow that. It seems every week we have a gathering that involves copious amounts of food. Anyway, I digress. I apologize. A dinner meeting is perfect.”
Sawyer doesn’t really like Christmas because of the loss he and his family had. He meets with Liberty under the assumptions of doing an article of Campbell Tech. The quote I chose for Sawyer is: “Baby of the family? I don’t see it. You’re an established professional working in a field that requires deadlines. You wouldn’t be where you are if you didn’t meet them. And you wouldn’t be where you are by riding someone else’s coattails. I may be wrong with your birth order but I’m right on all other accounts.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.
Spoilsport by Belinda Williams is the second book in the Pierce Brothers series. This can easily be read and enjoyed without having read the first book in the series. I was looking forward to this book after reading the first book where the characters of Nadia and Luke are introduced. Nadia is not interested in relationships and especially not love. She is snarky and wonderful with witty comments. Luke, a recently divorced father, can’t stop himself from thinking of this enticing woman. Will Luke crack through the tough shell Nadia has placed around herself? I enjoyed this sweet romance and the characters are relatable. I like that there are contrasts in their personalities that create tension between the characters. This series has been fun and enjoyable. A nice getaway from the stresses of life. I look forward to reading more from this author in the near future.

Needing help fixing her house before it falls down, Nadia Alvarez enlists the help of former lover Luke Pierce, a divorced father, who takes life too seriously. She only wants to keep this professional if he wants the job.
Like starts letting his guard down because of Nadia’s sense of humor which could cause him to love him more, thus completing the job more difficult.
I have been really into romantic comedies novels lately and I am so happy I picked this up.
I haven’t read the previous novel in the series but I plan to. I hope there is more to this series.

The story takes place in a town named Grimsby where everyone knows one another. The story is told through Vic who left Grimsby 15 years ago under mysterious circumstances and never looked back. This story had me hooked from the beginning to the end.
I absolutely love how the author, Byrd Nash, has interwoven two stories together as one incredible story. One story follows Vic, who is head deep in a criminal trial where the FBI is intimately involved. The second story line follows a family with so many distrustful relationships. The ability to interweave both stories as this one amazing story that is a must read!! Bravo!!

Hot, spicy and steamy, just the way an erotic romance should be. This romance also has an intriguing love story. He comes back with issue in the military and she’s a domme hiding in a small town. I loved the welcoming scene with the spade. Feistiness from the start. Action from page 1 keeps you glued to the story and the plot keeps you interested. I found it original, intriguing, spicy, steamy and a quick read. I’d recommend it to the over 18 crowd.

This author manages to completely blow me away time and time again! This story is absolutely phenomenal! Though this is a shorter read the storyline itself felt well rounded with a great amount of detail, making it easy to connect with the characters almost instantly. Right from the get go I was hooked, I was so intrigued by the characters that I read this book in one go because I just couldn’t get enough of them. Honestly, I loved everything about this one!
This M/M paranormal romance is truly one of a kind and I would recommend it to everyone, this is a story that you won’t want to miss!!
Luke and Nadia had a one-night stand. That was all it was. Now Nadia needs work done on her house. Luke wants more. Nadia just wants fun. Who will win this one? What a fun book. Ms. Williams does a fantastic job with writing an entertaining romance. The story is relatable as are the characters. Who hasn’t gone through this type of situation? It may not always turn out this way but sometimes it does. The fact that it is a second chance helps a lot. Divorced parents deserve second chances at romance also. Everything was perfect in the book. I loved this one as much as the first book in the series. Highly recommend.

Oh my goodness! This is one of the funniest romance novels I’ve read. It did have its moments of sadness and heartbreak but Tom and Chelsea getting from friendship into the zone was classic. Tom is your true Mr. Nice Guy. He’s there to listen when Chelsea screwed up dating the wrong guy (even when it’s killing him inside.) It took Chelsea a bit to realize how she felt for Tom but she came around. Their interactions were funny and easy to relate too. I’ve met my share of Mr. Nice guy’s. The plot was smooth and easy flowing. The characters were so easy to relate to. Nadia is a kick ass friend. A really good story that you need to read. Quick and good for these cool weekends. Highly recommend.

A Spell of Rowans completely surpassed my expectations, it was nothing like I expected it would be but ended up being much better. I felt intrigued right from the start and the characters and storyline kept me captivated and wanting to know how everything was going to play out. I love how well the story flowed, there was always something going on that kept my attention, keeping me engaged.
This was my first book by this author but it won’t be my last, I thoroughly enjoyed this one and look forward to reading more asap!

Rock Me to the Top by Victoria Zak was a good first book to the Gracefall Rock Star Romance series. This book centers on Joe Grace, drummer for the rock back Gracefall, and his best friend Melody, a musician who’s hopes to join the LA Orchestra are befallen. Upon her loss of her dream, she joins Joe and his band on tour as their manager. During, this tour, Joe and Melody discover their true feelings and desires for each other and learn how to become more than just best friends. I did enjoy this story and the deeper subject matter that it glimpses into. I was slightly miffed that Melody was a bit naive on the secrets Joe was keeping. Although I understand his secrets, I don’t understand why he felt he could not share them with Melody, as their trust for each other should never have been in question. Other than that, I really enjoyed the dynamic among all the characters in this story. I will gladly read the second in this series to discover more about Gracefall and the stories within.
