Self-discovery in the outback. The second book in the series and it was just as well-written. This time it’s Jonas and Pandora’s story of unexpectedly finding love and some self-discovery along the way. I really love the setting in the outback town of Bunya Junction. The author did a wonderful job of capturing the small Australian town vibe once again. One more Curruthers sibling to go and I can’t wait.

I’m so glad I picked out this book! I’ve been a fan of Maya Daniels for awhile and I’m a fan of Sylvia Black now too! Danielle is a great character (with plenty of secrets) and Vulture (*fans self*) definitely made me s w o o n. This supernatural romance was hot and heavy and did NOT disappoint. I’m excited it’s a series because I need more!! The character building and world building was incredible and I know it’ll be even better with more books! Check this one out yall! Onto the next 💖

Logan and her group make quick work of their investigation into the death of the person found at New School. Although they are pretty sure one of their own didn’t do it, they must convince the real detectives of his innocence. When the true killer is revealed, you’d never believe who it is, or why they did it. A wicked twist at the very end keeps you on your toes. I great read that keeps you intrigued through the end. Highly recommend!!

Deadly Words by Meghan O’Flynn was a fast paced read, full of twists and turns. It is book 1 in the Born Bad series, and leaves me excited to read book 2. It is in a format that switches between Poppy as a child, living with her father Steven Pratt and Poppy as an adult, a doctor in the chiropractic field. This format allows the element of surprise at several points throughout the book. As a child, Poppy and her father were very close, and he fostered a love of fairies and building them homes, and had a series of relationships that ended abruptly. You can feel how much Poppy looks up to and adores Steven, and envision his wide shoulders and glittering eyes – you can almost hear his booming laugh and understand the depth of love this little girl had for her father. It also allows you a glimpse into the life she led both before and after she made a phone call that changed both of their lives forever.
As an adult, a chiropractor within a practice, you get a taste of being a woman in a male run business as well as meet one of Poppy’s only friends – her coworker, Monique. Monique adds a sense of humanity and warmth that you don’t find in most of the other characters of this book and makes you want to know her. Her love of bright colors and sense of camaraderie with Poppy put a smile on your face – and at the same time, you also get to see inside Poppy’s head while she is interacting with her fellow chiropractors, therapist, Monique and more. I love the first person, internal conversations she has with herself while mid conversation with others – it makes so many parts personally relatable, even if her thoughts are different than mine.
Poppy feels comfortable in her routine until a stranger, author and journalist Carson Price, shows up into her very private life, asking questions she isn’t comfortable answering beyond the information he has already dug up with his sources. There is a draw between the 2 of them that Poppy is unfamiliar with and cannot explain, but doesn’t want to run from. Carson drops a bomb very early on, making Poppy question his sanity – but it brings them closer, trying to solve the mystery he insists is happening and draws Poppy in further.
This book is very fast paced, and keeps you reading to find answers to the questions it keeps introducing, and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the Born Bad series. Will Poppy be able to help Carson solve the mystery he brings? Will she figure out the truth about Molly? What connections will she make, what memories will she have that prove to be clues to their past?

However she has some secrets she’s not willing to share just yet. Will these secrets destroy a relationship that has been in the making for years or will Rachel be able to finally tell Craig what happened since he has been gone. So that their relationship can grow. Can’t wait to read more of this series from Bernadette Marie. It held me on the edge of my seat the entire time, such a great story and great characters.

I have to say I really enjoyed reading Runaway to the outback by Nicole Flockton. Although this is book is the 2nd to the outback series I ended up going back and reading book one. She did an excellent job in bring these characters together in such a hallmark feeling love story. I became very invested in Pandora and Jonas love story from the moment she busted through the Bunya Junction Pub in her photoshoot wedding dress. I love how the locals unexpectedly took her in as their own. I wanted to scream at Jonas towards the end of the book for not making right decisions right off the bat. I absolutely adored Ray’s love story being written in to Pandora and Jonas love story. It had the simple hallmark happy ending even for the brother of Jonas leaving an opening for another book in the series! I am hooked for sure to these books! Bonus for the book being an easy and short read!

This is a really good crime Thriller than grips the reader and doesn’t let go. It covers a lot of issues that happen in this world, politics, ‘trial by media’ and racism.
Cady had her life working to the way she planned it. She had a successful career and was on her way to becoming partner in the law firm she works at. However that all changed in a split second decision.
That decision meant she took the life of a man. Now faced with a possible murder charge she uses her knowledge of the law to put forward a plea of standing her ground.
This plea means that she shot and killed him in self defence but will the police and the public believe that. Should Cady get away with this because of her status in the world or will they look to make an example out of her? This story is really enjoyable as we watch Cady’s fight to prove her case and save herself from a prison sentence for what she believes was self defense.

Runaway to the Outback by Nicole Flockton is the second book in the Welcome to Bunya Junction series. This book can be read as a stand-alone although the series is so good you will want to read them in order. For me this book was even better than the first I connected with these character so much and became really invested in their story. They appeared to be so different to each toe he right from the start and yet their chemistry and connect was so strong. The book was entertaining and romantic as with all of this authors work. It was an easy story to read because I got so caught up in it all. This really is such a great book. I’m not sure how the next book can do any better but I am excited to find out.

I am not even sure where to start!!! I can tell you that I am crushing hard on the male lead in this book, but more importantly it reminded me of many life lessons that I continue to still work on. This is a young adult romance story that is about a girl named Emme. Emme is a sophomore in high school having to deal with a lot of life changing events. She is dealing with a sick grandmother, a sick grandfather, school, finding her soulmate, etc. while trying to figure out her way in the world. She starts to fall for a boy named Brendon who is the senator’s son. Well she comes to find out looks can be deceiving – in good and bad ways. The two of them have ups and downs in their relationship due to, one of the most common issues in all relationships, communication malfunctions.
As an older woman, I got really mad at Emme in a lot of the story because I just wanted to reach out and tell her it gets better, as women we get better, don’t be so stupid or quick to judge, listen as much as you want to be listened to, and that our thought process does get better as we age and learn. I remember being young, crazy, paranoid, and all the unknowing ideas that come with being young and in love. Women, as many of us know, are complicated creatures. How we end up that way I am not sure, but for many we learn the hard way about getting to where we are going. The one thing I really loved about Brendon was how he also recognized the crazy but kept pushing forward as much as he could because he knew she was worth it. That to me is the true sign of unconditional love – knowing the person is crazy, but knowing you want to be a part of that crazy.

The emotions that I felt while reading this book were strong and varied. Sadness replaced by joy and then concern made for a good read from start to finish. Not only did I find the main characters interesting, but I wanted to learn more about the secondary characters as well. If you enjoy romantic reads that will also pull at other emotions, I recommend this book. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Oh my goodness, I am hooked. This mystery had me reading at every opportunity possible; then had the nerve to end on a cliffhanger! Thank goodness book two is out!
Jayne is everything I want to be, a total baddy, and even has the same insecurities as me too! I adore their little village and love the details of the quirky residents. I don’t personally know a lot about Wicca but I feel they did a great job describing it in a respectful manner.
If you enjoy paranormal and mystery than this is a series to read. This book is very well written and has an engaging plot and storyline. Knowing that this is the first book in a series, you expect there to be information overload and unanswered questions, but, McGuire’s smooth writing style does not make it overwhelming.
This is definitely a page turner book, and warning it does end in a cliffhanger; which makes you have to read the next book. There are 10 books in this series and I’m looking forward to reading them all!

This series gets better and better. I love these characters that Hazel has brought to life. This series picks up where the last one left off. Vanessa is giving a mission by the Queen but gets taken to the invisible palace (Upperworld) by Aroz before she is able to complete the mission. This installment follows more of Aroz relationship with Vanessa. I am excited to say that there is another book coming soon!
I NEED MORE! I fell in love with this story. Rowan had me in love with her from the start. She is a stand your ground kick butt lead! This book will have you hooked on the first page! Love, humor, action, politics this has it all. I’ve never really been into the enemies to lovers trop but this I was sucked into. I need to go read the Lochlann Treaty series to get more background, but you can definitely read this by itself!! This is so well done! I am anxious to know what happens to our Scarlett princess!!

I can honestly say that I am likely one of the only avid readers out there that haven’t read any Sherlock Holmes novels, nor have I really paid much attention to any tv/movies of this genre. This novel has altered my interest for sure! I found myself immersed in Emma’s sleuthing skills, and the different skills of her family members and team. After reading numerous romance novels, I was itching for a change of pace and Notebook Mysteries – Decisions and Possibilities hit the spot. From the first few chapters, I was pulled into the 1880’s, Chicago is a place of development, and growth, and I found it very easy to picture Emma, and Dora, in their boarding house. Women were ultimately seen for their homemaking skills, and this team fought hard to encourage women and local businesses to take them on to prove their worth outside the home. It’s very empowering!
I did find that a lot happened all at once, especially during the first half of the novel. Once I hit the halfway mark, and we really start to dig deep into one specific Pinkerton case, I couldn’t put the book down and found myself trying to figure out what the outcome would be by deciphering the information given so far. It is by no means an ‘easy read’ but that’s part of what makes Kimberly Mullins writing style so incredible. I loved that it pulls you in, introducing new characters, and bringing a romantic story to light as well. The fact that Kimberly Mullins includes some historical information as you’re sightseeing in New York City with Emma and Jeremy was fascinating. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure, and will certainly be looking forward to reading more Notebook Mysteries in the future. Thank you, Ms. Mullins, it was a riveting read, highly recommend!
***No Spoilers*** This book has it all: Romance, Suspense, Intrigue, and Steam. I was not able to put this book down. The main characters in this book come with heavy secrets that they are trying to protect. How far will they go to protect those secrets when their own very lives are at stake? This question is what kept me from being able to put the book down. I kept turning page after page to see what would happen next. Knowing that this is the first book in the series, I am only assuming that the characters that we are introduce too will be making future appearances throughout the series. The air of mystery pulls you in during the first couple chapters. It has you second guessing who is good and who is bad. The suspense has you on the edge of your seat. You will want nothing more than to continue reading just so you can see what happens. The way the characters of Vulture and Danielle were written, you can feel their struggles. Vulture leaves you with a dark good guy vibe. You know what I mean, he is bad because of who he is but the way he acts and how protective he is makes him seem like a good guy. Danielle is an amazing female lead. She is strong, courageous, smart, and obviously beautiful. She is always stepping up to the plate and throwing herself into every situation without any doubts. You will see the strength of the characters grow throughout the book. Their journey is full of twists and turns. When you finish this book you will be left with a book hangover and the need for the second book in the series,

This book was brilliant. What a way to start the chance of death because you stole vodka, I think it’s a brilliant concept,I do have to say that I saw the romance element coming straight away but it honestly didn’t bother me, I still really enjoyed the story. I really liked that the main character was very vocal and wouldn’t just roll over for people and was outspoken.

This book is a sweet romance that brings to mind the movie The Runaway Bride (though Pandora is not a runaway bride). Jonas and Pandora cross paths when she stops in at his pub. She is running away from a modeling shoot (in a high end wedding dress)…. As you can guess, Bunya Junction is a small town and the gossip vine runs rampant. These two start the vine a’hopping. The messes they can get in and the assumptions they make. I found this book quite entertaining. The characters were well-written. All around, Sindy, Randy, Scott, Jonas and Pandora were like watching local good drama. It was romantic and sweet. Jonas and Pandora had rough times and worked through them. I loved trying to picture the area of Australia being written about. Grand book all around. Highly recommend you check this out.

This author and her attention to detail and style pf writing makes you feel like you are right there with the characters. This is Sindy and Ryan’s story. Sindy finds herself back in Bunya Junction and she takes a job at a medical practice as a nurse. All is well until he shows up. Ryan comes back to Bunya to pay his respects and to learn he has been given half practice while the other belongs to Sindy. Ryan’s plan is to not stay but things change. The local Sherriff doesn’t want her snooping around, but he doesn’t seem at all interested in finding the culprit. Is he covering for someone or in the worst case himself?
This was a captivating book and kept me hooked. The character building and development of the story was great. I can’t say that I am a huge fan of books that end on a cliffhanger, but I am invested in finding out who is behind the murder and any other mysteries Jayne may uncover.

Wow, what a great start to this series. I was pulled in right from the beginning. It’s been awhile since I’ve had a good mafia read and this one does not disappoint.
Liliana was a great strong character. Her father is the head of the mafia. She returns from college and things start to get dangerous for the family business. Her father brings in a hitman, Max to take care of things. Max was great, you could feel the connection coming off the pages between these two. He was hired for a job but he also has his own plans. Will he be successful?
Overall this was a really great read. We get several twists and turns that added a great element to the story. The characters added a great element to the story. We get danger, secrets, and so much more in this book. I look forward to reading more from this series. 1-click and get started today.

This is a captivating story, one that hooks you and draws you in, slowly. After Luci inherits the estate, and her great-aunt’s ruby ring is winking brightly on her finger, she begins feeling inexorably drawn to the old mansion and the spirit within it. The feeling is insidious and steadily growing. Mayfield writes in such a lush way that I almost felt the spirit’s pull myself. There is a heavy romance layer to this story as well, plenty of steamy scenes in just 89 pages! As the plot speeds up, the psychological fear aspect takes hold, and what was arousing becomes downright terrifying. Prepare yourself for an emotional ride with this one!

This is the first book I have read by Linda Burson, but thoroughly enjoyed it. Cammy works for a private detective and after a really hard long case, feels she needs a vacation. She heads to her brother’s house in Connecticut for the summer. Three months, turns into five. Her brother is a police officer as others had been in her family. She went to the Academy but decided that was not the way she wanted to go with her life. Cammy’s brother gets a case about the neighbor’s wife going missing. Cammy who has fallen in love with the neighbor’s little boy gets involved with the case. But is she too close? She has the neighborhood talking up a storm spending so much time with the handsome father. There was romance and mystery and catty women. This book made me smile and giggle more than once, but it also kept me turning the pages. I will be seeking out other books by this author.

Home to the Outback was a great read! This book was heartbreaking, romantic, emotional, every feeling is in this book. I was heartbroken at the beginning and smiling at the end. I absolutely loved the characters. This was a very heartfelt book. I absolutely can not wait to read the second installment to this series!

I have read a few of Ms. McKinley’s books and she hasn’t disappointed me yet. The characters are strong they have to be in their world. I love the little quirks and the way they play off each other makes them some what real. This book had it all action, tension, betrayal, romance.

I fell in love with Vulture and Danielle. This book was the perfect first start to the series, and I could not put it down. The action, suspense, and the sex were through the roof. If you don’t love the supernatural world after this read you will. I have fallen in love with Sylvia Black and all her books never fail to capture all my attention. Vulture is hired to find an artifact that Danielle was dying to obtain. After he outbids her at the auction the journey begins from there. Vulture is a pureblood vampire, and upon meeting Danielle realizes her to be his mate. As they navigate their new feelings and their sexual chemistry they also work to uncover the truth of the relic, and what’s going on with the Vampire race. This story is a great read and I cant wait for the next book!

This my first time read by this author, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Characters were original and well developed, and the story itself really drew you in the more you read. It was a true mystery that kept me guessing until the end, and the descriptions were very vivid and and easy to imagine. Jayne herself was a character who you had to warm up to, and once you got there you started to really like her. When Jayne returns to her old town to sell her grandparents lake house she is in for quite the surprise. The house is trashed and a body is in the back. With little help from the Sheriff she sets out to solve the issue herself, and as she gets closer she finds that someone does not want her to solve it, and things begin to unravel from there.

I absolutely loved reading Home to the outback. It’s book one in a new series by Nicole Flockton and I had to keep going. It kept me interested in Ryan and Sindy’s story. The story follows Sindy a nurse and Ryan a big shot plastic surgeon as they navigate broken hearts, loss, history, relatives and love. I truly recommend this book if you need a good romance novel. Can’t wait to start book 2.
