True story: this is my first basketball book. I fell in love with Drew the first time I was introduced. Drew has his priorities in check, or does he? He’s the star basketball player at CRU with big future plans. Not all jock, good looking? Yes please! I instantly liked Abby and her friends also. This story was so well written and I’m looking forward to reading about the other characters. I’m a sucker for love and this book gave me all of the feels!!

The God: A Greek Myth Fantasy Romance (Her Three Immortals Book 2) By Hazel Storm
This book had me hooked from the start! This one leaves off right where the first one ends. I am already addicted to this series. There are so many intriguing characters and a few of them have their own agenda. I really enjoyed that Vanessa brought some color to the underworld. I loved that we got to meet some new characters in this book. This story kept me engaged and entertained throughout. I can’t wait to read the next one. I highly recommend this book.

A Divided Mind is a fictional story about a teenage boy facing worsening mental illness and schizophrenia. We also some deep insight into how such a diagnosis affects the loved ones around him, such as his Mother, twin brother, siblings, and girlfriend. I’ve always been intrigued by psychology and this book really took me on an unexpected journey of emotions. Having known people with schizophrenia, I found myself getting very attached to Branson throughout the book. I was really cheering for him and hoping he could still achieve at least part of him dreams of going to college, joining the armed forces, and even just being an average teenage boy. Some parts of this story really broke my heart, but I do feel it was a very realistic representation of what could happen to someone in a similar situation. I can’t stop thinking about the ending and how things end up for Branson. I hope we get a part 2!

Forbidden Love, bad choices and second chances! Master Tuscano is just as good as Master Descallia if not better. In this book the Syndicate, witches, shifters, rogue vampires and Consulate seem to all have their own agendas. These additional characters add to the story very well.
Delilah ran off with the witches because she was denied the life with Christian that she wanted by the Consulate. She seeks refuge with the witches who treat her kind, even though they have a long-standing vendetta with the vampires. When Christian found her after her abduction, he seeks revenge. He doesn’t realize she wants her own revenge. That is, until she keeps disobeying his direct orders and darn the consequences! (Even though she enjoys the consequences very much 😉)

First you have a brave Heroin with attitude to boot! Lucianna jumps in feet first to try and find the missing women and finds herself attached to a Vampire Overlord in the process. Salvatore has his work cut out for him with Lucianna and the desire to protect and save her, if even from herself. He is used to his word being obeyed without hesitation, until her. There definitely is a plot twist that I didn’t see coming and hopefully it surprises you as well. I have read many Vampire Novels and Sylvia has made the Masters of the Consulate a series I do not want to miss a single Novel from! Thank you, Sylvia, for the good read and keep this series going! Can’t wait to read what comes next.

This book was so much fun to read. Something light is just what I needed to read and this was perfect. Ivory is a successful business woman that owns her own online dating company. She helps find love for everyone else whom become her clients except for herself. Li Qiang is one of the interns at Ivory’s company and 10 years younger in age. When a TV station would like to feature Ivory and her company and get to know her on a more personal level with her “boyfriend” there is one issue….Ivory does not have a boyfriend. In comes Li Qiang to the rescue. Can they pull off their fake “relationship” or does it turn into something truly real? I loved this book…definitely worth the read!

The problem being…he didn’t get permission from the Consulate first, and Delilah has never been a fan of the underworld. Right from the start this book is filled with conflict, passion, and action. A gripping novel from start to finish following a human and a vampire in love trying to fight for their right to be together. There is really no one as formidable as a vampire in love.

I think it’s interesting and odd that Vanessa can sleep with three gods who are brothers. There is lots of sex in this book. This book is quite hilarious. I find it fascinating that you can be dead and still do whatever you feel like doing. I love the short chapters.

Salvatore and Lucianne make for a great vampire romance. Salvatore is the leader of the vampire consulate. Lucianne is a beat cop trying to rank up in her office. From the moment they laid eyes on each other, things became heated and turned both of their worlds upside down. I can’t wait to read the whole series.

Book 2 was just as amazing as the first. This tale is told just as immaculately, and still just as many twists and turns. Lucy is dating Marcus and slowly starting to come into her own. Still getting to know her father Jude and adjusting to her lifestyle you will find that just when things hit a calm something big comes about just as quickly. Book 2 will have you guessing and page turning quickly as Lucy and her delightful cast of characters continues on in this super fun tale.

Ride For Me (The North Shore Crew Book 1) by Vi Summers had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The entire crew for this series is just fantastic, and her plot really makes you feel for some of the characters. But boy oh boy does this story have it all, it has drama, it has laughter, it definitely has steaminess, and so much more. But most of all there are so many twists and turns to this book that you have no idea what comes next. Ms. Summers definitely hooked her readers with this one and this reader for one can’t wait for the rest of the series.

Shooting at the Shore Sunshine has had a very successful summer with her young adult program. So successful that she has an awards ceremony to highlight the achievement of her teenage patrons. She speaks with Mrs. Willa Bryce Monroe, the town’s matriarch, and a huge supporter of her library programs including one of the prizes handed out at the ceremony. Mrs. Monroe speaks of the “riffraff” that has moved into Bryce Beach. She tells Sunshine that she will make sure that the town council understands that Bryce Beach is a family place and not a place for a “house of ill repute” (a restaurant with scantily clad waitresses). On Tuesday, Tom, the reference librarian, mentions that Mrs. Monroe wasn’t at the council meeting which concerns Sunshine. She debates going to check on Mrs. Monroe when a teenage boy attempts to steal the wish box money that is associated with the town bible. The police show up and catch the boy when they get a dead body call. Sunshine knows in her heart that it’s Mrs. Monroe which she confirms. She knows that she has stepped into another mystery and sets her sights on solving Mrs. Monroe’s murder.
This book was a lot of fun to read! Its my first by this author, and I look forward to reading book 2. Young adult supernatural books have become a lot more popular over the years and books like this are the reason why. The characters and the storylines are so very well developed and original and it takes your imagination on quite the run. Lucy came from a broken home in a sense and was very independent, and after her mother dies is moved to a loving home with her uncles. Her lifestyle and her life changes dramatically. Plus she finds out she was never so normal to begin with learning she is half -demon and half-witch. As the story progresses we watch her life go thru multiple changes, and love triangle included. This book had many twists and turns, and was difficult to put down for a even a second.

This is the second book in this series I have read and I love it just as much as the first one! We find out sooooo much more about Vanessa in this this book and I can tell you that I never would have guessed! Hazel Storm is a gifted story teller and brings scenes to life with her descriptions!!! I felt as if I was actually there with Vanessa while reading this book! PK is one of my favorite characters and I love how she is incorporated into this book.I am so excited to read the next book in this series I’m headed to buy it right now!

Talk about a page turner!!! I downloaded this book on a Sunday and finished it on wed only because I had to work or it would have been finished in one day! The author makes it easy to imagine in detail what’s going on it’s like watching a movie! If you enjoy a good romance this is the book for you! I kinda want to find a Grey or a Raef for myself! A Divided Mind by M. Billiter is an interesting fictional story that gives the reader a deeper look into mental illness. I appreciate that the author took this story in a direction that makes us think more about mental illness. As I was reading this story, I could connect with how Branson was feeling and the emotional toll it takes no only on him but also on his family. This book takes us through the family’s emotions and situations in a way that made me feel like I could understand how Branson’s mother was feeling – overwhelmed and not having answers to help your child. I couldn’t put the book down once I started to connect with the characters. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I’m sure I’ll be reading the second installment.

Despite the title making this book seem like a mafia book, it’s not. Grey is the “Don of the Underworld,” come to earth to barter vices so he can collect 100 souls. Once on earth Grey meets Vanessa, a hairdresser who seems otherworldly, and is desperately trying to find a way to save her 12 year-old brother who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
This is a why-choose romance, where we’re introduced to Grey, Raef, and briefly, Aroz, all sons of an all powerful god, Zeus, though he’s not specifically named.
I’m typically a fan of the Greek Mythos, as well as why-choose or Reverse Harem romances, therefore I’m really enjoying this series. I enjoyed getting to know the men and see how they reacted to Vanessa. There’s of course Grey, and his abstinent ways. He comes across as an ass at times but he has his reasons. Raef is like the perfect billionaire you didn’t know existed, and only does in romance novels. He’s sweet, caring, and oh no hot for Vanessa. Then there’s Aroz, who just wants to see Vanessa so he can know who is making his mother crazy, but of course he messes things up by shooting one of his arrows. We’ll just have to see what transpires next with him.
While there are some spicier scenes I enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t overdone and was more of a tease to whet the appetite. I can’t wait to see where this series goes and how it all plays out in the end.
Book 1 does end on a semi-cliffhanger, but there is a sneak-peek of book 2, so not a complete cliffy.

A dark vampire mafia romance. What’s not to love about that sentence?
Master Tuscano should really be read after book 1, Master Descalia, for the greatest understanding as Tuscano has continuation of the “us v them” storyline from book 1. Semi-spoiler: That storyline will continue in book 3 too.
Here we get to explore the romance and mating of Christian Tuscano and Delilah, who we were introduced to in book 1. Christian and Delilah yearn for one another despite the consulate not approving of their relationship.
I enjoyed Christian and Delilah as a couple and them coming together despite outward forces trying to keep them apart. I like how the author switches the first person POV between Christian and Delilah because it gives us more insight as to what they’re each thinking and why they’re doing things. Delilah is a spitfire who isn’t going to just sit down and let the men deal with the issues they’re facing, yet she can also be submissive to Christian, sometimes.
It was interesting to see where Luciana and Salvatore were in their relationship now and how that continued to grow. Also, we’re reading about it from two other character’s perspectives, so it’s a fun turn-about. I still love Embry and the levity she brings to even the most serious of situations. Also, who doesn’t love a female who’s confident enough in herself to basically waitress and walk around a club topless and flaunting her nipple piercings? I hope to read more about Embry specifically.
While I overall enjoyed the story and the characters, I can only give this book a 3.5 rating as there were inconsistencies that kept pulling me out of reading to try and understand. Also, while this is a fantasy novel (hello paranormal beings) some pf the things that happen are outside the realm of possibilities, like transporting yourself half way around the world in a few seconds soon after becoming a vampire.

Dire’s Club by Kimberly Packard. This was one of the most unusual stories I’ve read. Its so moving and emotional but brings a whole new light on death. Its the whole premise of having one last adventure before you die. This book takes you on a ride with a group of people going on the last adventure they will ever have. This tale will make you think about how you would want to spend your last days and who you want to spend it with. Its a story of adventure, death, friendship and making memories. On a subject that could be very morbid and sad its not at all. It will make you cry in some place and make you emotional in others but it brings a new focus to death and one that’s not all doom and gloom. This book really made me think about my life and death and made me reflect on some choices I have made and some I will make in the future! The motto I took away was to live life to the fullest and make memories!

Once again, I found myself reading a book by a new author and was not disappointed. Although I cried. A lot! And not because it is a sad book although it does tackle a lot of sad issues. But more so because I also started thinking about the life I would want to live if knowing I was faced with only a short amount of time to live. As in, my own bucket list and what I could accomplish without ever looking back on life and regretting it. It made me think about how I could live my life and be happy knowing I had a terminal illness. And what I found was that just as these characters learned to do, I learned to celebrate my own life journey and be happy with who and what I was and have. I highly recommend that everyone read this book because it will make you think and wish that there was such an adventure around us.

I was so captivated by this storyline as it had me questioning everything, not in a dramatic mysterious way but more in a re-evaluating my life way. The concept behind Dire’s Club really intrigued me, how come we wait until the last possible moment to do the things in life we desperately want to do? This storyline puts everything into perspective and I’m so grateful that I read this book!
If you are looking for a one of a kind read look no further this is the book for you! This is a book that should be read by all!!

Charlie and Trent aka Tank, have known each other almost their whole lives. Tank is Charlies brothers best friend and she has always been attracted to him. The sparks were flying with these two and I was here for it! Brothers best friend books are my weakness as I love to see how the brother takes it.
I was so wrapped up in this story and I hope I get to read more, maybe Jude’s book? Or a wedding novella of these 2? Amazing read.

This is another great read by Storm. The author had me hooked from the beginning. I had a hard time putting it down. This is the second book in the Her Three Immortals Series.
Vanessa is dead and now living in the Underworld. She has made a couple of friends. She has also brought color back to it. Grey has kept it grey for way too long. The quote I chose for Vanessa is: “I’m here because I’m dead and got lucky not to be voted to go to the middle ground, or worse, the hot-pit haven. I am not that important, Gorgonita. Go ask Charles A**hole Radcliffe in there, and he’ll tell you just how insignificant I am.”
Grey doesn’t usually make deals, but Vanessa wormed her way in. Not only to his world, but in his heart. He isn’t sure what to make of her. The quote I chose for Grey is: “Where do you suggest she hid my brother’s soul? I searched every square inch of the Underworld for him myself.”

If you knew your days were numbered – what would you do? I’d like to think everyone would want that one last wish. Packard’s characters have all been diagnosed with terminal illnesses but there is a bright light – Dire’s Club. Jimmy Dire, who runs the club, has built a business around the dying – offering a get away from life’s final moments and allowing an people to experience one last hoorah with people who are in the position. As I’ve heard many times in my own life – “Live like your life depends on it”. The characters are very complex individuals and no details are left to the reader to determine. Understanding that they are all dying and that there is no future is the biggest heartbreak of this book. The ending does provide some hope to all and the belief that life goes on, even without our loved ones.
This is a must read that is emotional and very touching. Be prepared to cry some tears – Packard has delivered a five star book!

After the kidnapping and trafficking Delilah was saved from, she’s had to process the trauma and emotions that came with those experiences. At the same time, the conversation about what her and Christian are has been looming in the background for months. Wanting to be his mate as a human has come with more strings than what she thought was possible. Now, it’s her turn to take revenge on those that hurt her. Vampire or not, Delilah with use the resources she has to gain control back in her life.
I liked this sequel but I didn’t really enjoy it as much as I did the first. The author repeated a lot of the tropes she used in the first book so a lot of surprise I felt in the first book were not there when I encountered similar situations in this second book. Over all I think Delilah was a decent character but I feel like she was too impulsive which wound her up in more dangerous situations than if she worked through things with Christian or even talking with Lucianna and Embry. I was a little invested in the relationship but I really appreciated some of the choices Delilah made in the final few chapters. I’d be interested in seeing what happens in book three but not sure how quickly I would get to it.

Master Christian Tuscano is the head of the Tuscano house and he has a score to settle, someone kidnapped the woman he wants to be his mate, Delilah and he wants answers as to the who and why, so he goes to the only source they currently have and treats them the same way they treated the woman he loves and it was shamefully and a way that nobody should ever be treated. As he gets the answers he wants, he thinks about Delilah and how her experience has changed her, how the light has gone from her eyes and she is just a muted version of her once bubbly self, however, when he returns home to find that she has gone and only left him a letter, he is enraged and worried that something else will happen to her.
Meanwhile, Delilah is making her way to find the person responsible for her kidnapping and degradation, however she wants to keep herself and her whereabouts from Christian so that she can do something by herself for once, but this plan backfires when despite her best efforts. He is going out of his mind with worry, so Christian has called in some help and found where Delilah is and just in the nick of time when someone else bursts in on the same scene to take the person she is meeting out and she has been caught in the crossfire, so just before her life ebbs away, permission is granted to turn her and allow her to become a vampire and not just be with one.
While the attack left Delilah in a precarious situation, the person they are all after manages to escape, so the hunt is on again, however, keeping Delilah safe and secure is harder than ever when she transitions and her new powers come to the fore and some shifters come after her and while a precarious deal is struck with the syndicate to take the bounty off of their heads in return for them being given the troublemaker once the Consulate have gleaned all the information they can out of them. The shifters are not the only ones after her though and new information comes to light which casts a shadow on everything Delilah knows and trusts involving a coven of witches, but will she be able to do what she needs to do and also be accepted by the rest of the Consulate, or will she have to leave everything she wants behind to protect the one she loves? Will Christian be able to help Delilah to overcome her trauma and teach her to accept her new life, or will one of the groups after them get to their target before they do? This is a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs with a romantic twist throughout, where secrets and lies abound to weave a twisted tapestry of truths which will hook you in from start to finish.
