Unbreakable by Tee Smith is the first book in the Diamond series. For me this book is all about the characters and their connection. Although they are complete opposites they have such a strong connection – the chemistry between them is so believable and real. I thought the story line was good as well.bit felt like it built slowly throughout leading you to where it finishes. It was quite intense in some places and then less so in others, a good mix of the two. It is a well written book that leaves you wanting to read the next in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to book 2.

Another awesome installment that is all sweetness. If you love yourself a good romance where you can snuggle down and get lost in all the heart-thumping, toe-curling moments then this book and this series are just what you need. Lark and Hunter seem poles apart bless them. One is free-spirited, going where the wind takes her, never quite settling and painting the world as she passes through, the other is a dig your roots in kind of guy. He’s set himself up in his hometown and he is happy, successful as the Police Chief. When Lark’s sister’s wedding brings them both back together, both must face the fact that while they may be different there is an undeniable spark they cannot deny, one that hasn’t died out, even with all the years they have been apart.
Sink your teeth into this little beauty I promise that you won’t be disappointed.

The Heron Harbor series is full of books that I am always excited to read when they come out…and this is not exception.
Lark is returning Heron Harbor for her sister’s wedding. She is hoping to come to town, attend the wedding, and leave before anyone really notices. That plan goes out the window almost as soon as she gets into town.
Hunter, the Chief of police, is quite surprised when a stranded motorist in his town turns out to be a woman he has not seen in many years. Lark and Hunter dated many years ago…and even had plans to run off and get married. But…when the time came…Lark said she couldn’t go and left town. Now he is face-to-face with the woman who has always held his heart.
When Wren becomes overwhelmed at work, she leaves it to Lark and Hunter to work out the final details of the wedding. Will these two be able to move beyond their pasts and work together? And what happens if their old feelings come to the surface? Lark is a free spirit and has no intentions to settle down…can Hunter change her mind? Or are they destined to part once again?
I fell in love with this series from the first book…and each book that followed has been just as good. I devoured this book in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down because the characters pulled me in and I needed to know how it was going again. Another great book by Lea Nolan!

This book really captured my interest. Once I started, I couldn’t put it down. Romance being the main element with drama, passion, darkness, tragedy and sex. It’s everything I look for in a romance novel.
Bared is about an emotionally broken woman named Athena who had a dark past making it very hard to open up to anyone who isn’t one of her few best friends. She then meets a pool player named Tru who also had trust issues. The passion between them was inevitable but was it strong enough to get past both their hardships?
The relationship between Athena and her two best friends was very authentic in my opinion. They bantered like I would with my own friends. I loved how the author wrote all of the characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. It was refreshing to read a romance that wasn’t super fairy tale like.

This is the 3rd book in the Heron Harbor series. This is a Contemporary Romance novel and is 184 pages in length. This story follows Lark, an artist, and Hunter, a police chief. Lark has done everything in her power to avoid going back home but being in her sister’s wedding makes her head that way. Hunter wants to settle down but there is really only one person that he wants to do that with, and she pulled away and fled years ago – until she shows up in Heron Harbor. Now they are both tasked with putting the finishing touches on her sister’s wedding – can they work together with all the sparks flying?

Very frequently when you reach book three in a series the story line can become tired. AJ Renee does a great job of spicing up this third instalment and taking the reader into the most turbulent story so far!
When Max Broderick, a witch veterinarian who can speak to his clients, feels the pull to the woods to attend to an animal in need he doesn’t expect to meet his mate. Claudia, a werewolf, has lived in a world with nothing but violence and mistreatment for the last eight years. Max’s patience and affection for Claudia and her daughter Katia slowly wear down the last of her reserves to become full mates.
I very much enjoyed this book and look forward to the next.

AJ Renee once again knocks it out of the park! I just can’t get enough of this author and every time you think a book can’t get better than the last, it happens. This fourth instalment takes us into the life of Carter Broderick, a witch whose skill lies in healing. As a doctor he uses his skills daily and when Vanessa, a human, brings a neighbor into the hospital, there is a compelling connection that neither can deny.
I really enjoyed this book and devoured it quickly. I loved the concept of the two worlds, human and supernatural, colliding. I am really looking forward to more from AJ Renee.

This is book one in the Diamonds series and it looks like its going to be a good one. This book contains 2 of my favourite things. Romance and danger. The author does an amazing job taking the reader into a world where our lead character Ripper lives. From a bad childhood, to prison, to now being part of a kinda of Mafia style company. Ripper is mixed into allsorts of things. Trouble always seems to come looking for him even when he doesn’t want it. He’s never entertained the idea of finding someone to love because let’s face it who would want someone as messed up as him.
The Nurse Erin walks into his life. Erin has her own past, with the loss of her mother and her failed married she is just starting to find her own feet. The last thing she expected is to fall for a guy. Especially a guy who is a bad boy like Ripper. With trouble coming for Ripper can he risk dragging Erin into his life? Could the secrets he keeps destroy them or make them stronger? And will Erin finally find the man of her dreams in Ripper despite his flaws or will this be another relationship doomed to fail from the beginning.

I don’t know how the author does it. I don’t like cliff hangers – basically because I don’t like waiting to read more. And it killed me to wait for this book after part one. But let me just say – this was worth every agonizing moment I didn’t have this book in my hands. The MC universe doesn’t get recognized for the depth it holds and Mellett is a master at bringing so many characters to page that you feel like you know or definitely wish could meet. Just an amazing story. Beautifully written. Just. Wow.

Hamilton continues to thrill me with this series and this latest caper certainly lives up to my expectations. I love the relationship between the main characters and how it has progressed throughout the series. And I LOVE this new situation Mike and Madeline find themselves in. Hamilton provides the perfect push and pull. If you enjoy a good crime caper and witty leads to connect with, you will love this book and series.

As a book lover, a fan of cozy mysteries and a cat lover this novel is absolutely perfect as it combines all three! I loved this heartwarming and original story by a new author to me Ruth J. Hartman, and I will definitely be reading more of her books. This is the first in the ‘Kitty Beret Café Mysteries’ series and introduces the reader to the Kitty Beret Café and its owner Ellie Warren. The author does a great job of setting the scene, so much so I could picture myself (and my cat) at the café. As well as running the café, Ellie finds forever homes for rescued cats, but not everyone is a fan of cats and one lady in particular makes her opinion known to Ellie in front of a full café. Unfortunately that same women is then discovered murdered behind her cafe and her husband believes Ellie is the murderer. Thankfully Detective Simon Dare is less convinced that Ellie is a suspect but the handsome Detective is not impressed when she decides to investigate herself along with her cat Templeton, of course. Templeton is very good as supplying clues and soon Ellie is discovering the identity of the murderer but she is unaware that she has put herself in their sights and is in danger.
The storyline flows well and is a lighthearted and fun read. The plot is full of quirky characters, drama, a murder mystery to solve and even romance, along with cats to keep you hooked and happily turning the pages. The descriptive narrative really brings both the quirky characters and the unique setting of the café to life and I felt completely immersed in the story. I was kept guessing as to the identity of the murderer and enjoyed solving the crime along with Ellie. I just wish I had a place like the Kitty Beret Café that I could visit along with my cat! An enjoyable and engaging read and I am already looking forward to book two.

This is the first book by N.D. Jackson that I have read. It was an easy read, that I did enjoy. It starts off with a tragedy and a promise. It was interesting to see how Athena overcomes her past and opens her heart to the possibility of love. The story is beautiful. There were moments that made my heart cry. Tru was everything she needed and more. I love Athena and Tru together. I look forward to reading more stories from this world.

HOLD ME FOREVER (HERON HARBOR Book 3) by LEA NOLAN. This is the 3rd book in the Heron Harbor series and I loved it. They have all been really good but this one has become my favorite. Its the story of Lark Donovan who is the youngest of the Donovan sisters. She Lark loves Art and feels like that is all she needs in life, that and keeping away from Heron Bay, the town she grew up in. Teaching Art to kids and seniors has been her lifeline and she loves it. But when her sister Wren is getting married Lark has to go back home to help with the wedding. The one person she doesn’t want to see is her ex, Police Chief Hunter McMullen. Of course she knows its inevitable and sure enough on her first day she runs right into him. Hunter knows seeing Lark is going to happen since he’s the best man in Wren’s wedding but he didn’t realize the feelings were all going to come back more than ever. Sparks still fly between them and Hunter wants more than anything to prove to Lark that they can make it work. Will he be able to convince Lark they can work things out? Read Hold me Forever to find out!

“Jake the Growling Dog Shares His Trail” written by Samantha Shannon is a very well written children’s book concentrating on disability awareness and making new friends! Jake finds strange tracks on his trail and he is filled with worry. His friends offer to help find this mysterious creature, and they set off! They soon meet a new friend along the trail, named Tuck. With Tuck’s assistance, they find that even though someone may have differences, these differences are nothing to be frightened of. When reading this book out loud to my children, they were delighted to point out the clever rhyming words. The author makes great use of description words as well! I found the book to be very creative.

I loved this heartwarming and at times heartbreaking story about friendship and finding love, a real page turner of a contemporary romance. The storyline follows four girls who are known as ‘The Green Street Girls’, they include Charlie, Gwyn, Indigo and Athena. Each girl has their own story but they have all been sent away and were left alone in the world until they found each other and have supported one another ever since. This story centred on Athena who has a devastating backstory but who despite this is now a millionaire at twenty one and owns a pool hall. It’s at the pool hall where she first meets Tru, when he walked in as though he owned the place! She first noticed his confident walk and his killer smile and she thought he would be good for a fling but definitely not someone for any long term commitment. However, she soon starts to fall in love with him and hopes that he is also up for a more permanent relationship.
I loved the characters, especially the four girls and their friendship really came across in the writing, and I look forward to reading each ones own story in this series. Athena is very likeable and relatable and I really felt for her and could understand why she had built up walls to protect herself until Tru came along. The chemistry between them sizzled off the page and led to some steamy scenes. They were great together and I was cheering them on hoping they would get their happy ever after. I was hooked from the start and thought this was an enjoyable and engaging read and a great start to the series.

I enjoyed all of the detail that the author wrote with, it made it incredibly easy to picture everything playing out in my mind. Seriously freaking good!!! I was hooked literally by the character introductions! I can not express words enough how good this was. It was like a good piece of cheese cake that just got better the more you ate it, or in this case as you read it. I didn’t expect the book to unfold how it did. It was different and really good. It went on a path I didn’t see forth, it was original and I seriously feel in love with the author’s writing style!
In the beginning we are introduced to two characters whom go by the names of Zoey and Alex. Its a sad introduction as they just lost their mother and their doing her funeral, and you can tell the deep impact this has on the two of them. I found Alex really had the most feelings, even if it seemed invisible or not there. Alex was more of the sister who could feel everything and try to maintain it. Because basically, that’s what you are suppose to do in hard times, smile and put your best foot forward.
Upon their mother’s death the sisters move to live in their home of their grandmother. She was a character I had a million questions about based on first meet. Something seemed off. She struck me as a mysterious person, but with more secrets than the first introduction was giving me. I wanted to know more , but I knew I barely scratched the depth of this book and needed to read on…so I did.
What struck me right away as something was off about the grandmother or the house, (also must note loved the description and fine details of the house the author gave) as Alex was a rare soul where she never had nightmares her entire life! That was until she started sleeping in her grandmother’s home. That struck me as something like a dark storm cloud was looming, but what it was, was yet for me to find out.
Alex talks about her emotions and feeling through out this book. I did not realize it as first, but it to me in my brain, ended up being a high importance as the story continued on. Alex had a gift , but little did she when everything first took part, had no idea it was, as well as myself. Alex is very caring of Zoey, it reminded me of what I do for my little brother keeping him safe. It made Alex a more heart felt character though she already was. Things progress as Alex as well as Zoey get used to their new life. Their home was their new life. They tried hard to fit in with their grandmother as well I dare to say the grandmother’s rather odd boarding mate. Perhaps secrets lie deep within these walls and souls of this house?
Things really take off rather quick from there, strange things happen that a normal reality can not comprehend or explain. I found it mad e Alex feel she was losing her mind from the grief and she was not sure what was a nightmare and what was real. More things come to light, that suspicions of the house and its inhabitants are brought to light. Alex was destined for something far greater than anyone could have prepared her for. Things get scary and odd, and she learns why things happened and happened. Was she ready for all this though? It didn’t matter. It was her time now and she had to go forward and face what comes forth from the path that was always made for her. Trust was to be the hardest thing to be and forever for her though, the people she trusted within were not allies, and enemies were they really the bad ones? The main question is though, can Alex fulfill what she is meant for?
I finished this book in no time. I was hooked and completely engulfed by the characters, the plot, and the secrets and wonders of the book. I simply loved it. It was a great read and full of suspense that made me yearn for more and want to know what would happen next as I read on. I loved the story alone, but Alex as she adventured into things she questioned and things happened all made this story so gripping!
This book was a really a unexpected joy to read. I knew it would be a book i would enjoy to read, but I honestly had no idea how good the writing technique would be and the style and the powers of the authors words would have on me. I honestly can not wait to read the next one. I have a great yearn to find out what will happen next. Seriously read this and find out what night mares are really made of and not just your dreams, your own reality, but also the darkest corners of your mind! Phenomenal read!

Houses of Deception by Cynthia Hamilton Four Stars
Houses of Deception is the sixth book in the Madeline Dawkins series by Cynthia Hamilton. This book is the best book in this series, so far. I would highly recommend you read this series in order. Although, each book is a complete story and can be a standalone, you will get the full backstory if you read the series from the beginning. This book is both thrilling and suspenseful, as the rest of the books in the series Ms. Hamilton keeps you guessing right until the end. Madeline and Mike are on the case, well two cases, and they are finding that neither case is as it first seemed. The twists and turns had me up late into the night trying to figure out the mysteries of the cases. Ms. Hamilton has such a brilliant way of keeping you guessing right until the end. I highly recommend this book, series and author. Review by @sunbarn

I loved this audible! This is my first audible by this author, I can’t wait to pick up another one. The narrator brought the story to life with their voice. They gave the characters a realistic feel by the change of tones. I had no problems connecting with the characters. This is an engaging story that is fast paced and full of action. Sophie is a woman who has ended up in a wheelchair by helping a friend. When a contract is put out on her she finds herself under the protection of the Satan’s Devils MC. She and Wraith are instantly attracted to each other but the problem is, she doesn’t think anyone would want her with the way she is. Will they be able to protect her? This is a great audible that I highly recommend. It is worth the listen too for sure!

I have always been a big fan of murder mystery novels, but this one truly hooked me, seriously. The writing itself was so well done, I have words to simply put how good this novel was to read and basically get lost in. This most defiantly will not be my last by this author, but it is my first. I am so happy I got a hold of this book and lost myself in the story. It was indeed a well worth read for sure!
One of the main characters, Dee, was a strong and someone really commendable. She was also a detective. Quite frankly, I will say she was very good at her job. She knew how to do it and do it well. She was strong in the mind and body and had great intuition as well. As the story starts to take off, there’s a murder case with her partner whom is named Connie. A person named Autumn has been murdered. Ok easy work for our Dee right? With all that said, what happens when she gets a murder case and the main suspect just happens to be her ex she thought she was over, but strength of her own heart speaks other wise?
As well as the whole thing of dealing with Grayson, she had Winston. Someone good for her I felt upon reading. You could tell he cared greatly and was a safe pick. Question of the matter though wash e too safe? Yes, there was a big love triangle and it goes deep into your soul more than I ever thought…I at this point never expected the triangle to go the way it did..to say it went crazy is a understatement, it went down a path I never saw coming. Honestly it made me love this book so much more!
Grayson was a suspect. Dee had trouble coming to terms that he would commit this murder. Herself and her partner Connie, decide to go forth and see what the next prime suspect Johnathan can give them for answers. Johnathan was a character to say the least. He was everything Dee shouldn’t want, but truly did with all of her mind, soul, and most defiantly her mind. He ran sex group, more like group of people having lots of sex. It was extremely unpredicted on my part and very twisted. And this made me dive in deeper to the story and the characters itself.
She was going through a lot. She had a history with her ex whom was a prime suspect. Winston who treated her good and loved her very much. A well as Johnathan who was a dark and twisted in the sense of what he could bring, but yet she wanted him so bad, but could allowing herself to be with Johnathan basically be the end of herself to what she knew? Perhaps what he shows her is so desirable that in every right aspect of her mind, she wanted basically what she knew she should never dare to consider?
I read on, and the story just got better and better. When Connie and Dee finished the case for the strangling of dear Autumn everything made sense in the end. I was a bit off with the sum up of the investigation, but it was what got me to the end of the book with twists as the dark creepy sense with the cult as well as the steamy moments it gave even when the characters did not need to touch each other to scream hot sexiness’.
The author was amazing with their writing skill. They made a story that was different from anything I have read. I loved it with a passion ! Maybe it was a curiosity that I had that wanted more, and when I got a bit of it, I still wanted more. I had such a good experience reading it. I will be reading more by this author and this was a rare treat that I can not recommend enough. Read this and you will have no regrets. Again to say simply, the book was amazing and writing blew be away. Loved it!

This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites yet. This is the first book in her new series and what a great start it is. This is a well written story about getting a second chance at love. The characters are great, strong and connectable. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the start. They made the story engaging and brought the story to life. I enjoyed how the author used details to give it a realistic feel. The growth throughout the story and their chemistry just adds to the story. Gage has a past that ripped his world apart. He didn’t believe it could happen twice to him but when it does, what will happen? This is a really great story that I found hard to put down. It is fun, easy and entertaining to read. I highly recommend this book.

This is a new author for me which I enjoyed from beginning to end. I look forward to reading more in the future. This is a science fiction thriller that pulled me in from the first word. Cole is the creator of a neurochip but now his company has been accused of multiple deaths. He is now faced with saving his company and finding the real killer before he ends up a victim himself. The characters are strong, great, well rounded characters that brought the story to life. I had no problems connecting with them. Cole is my favorite and his determination was great to see. This is full of action and was easy to read. I enjoyed the twist and turns as well and how they kept me turning pages. I really enjoyed this story and what Cole brought to the story. This is worth the pick up and I highly recommend this book.
This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. Her books pull me in from the first word and they are written with a lot of heart. This book is no different. This is a fun romance story that is shorter but it packs a punch. The characters brought the story to life and they are connectable. They made the story engaging and easy to read. I read this book in one sitting as it is that fast paced. The author’s use of details gave the story a realistic feel and I had no problems feeling I was right with the characters. This is a story about Ivory and Li. Their growth and chemistry just adds to the story. Their story is one of love and emotions. What will happen when Li says that he will be Ivory’s pretend boyfriend? This might solve her problem but they may just get more than they expect. I loved them and what they brought to the story. I highly recommend this book and this author

This book is your typical small town romance, so if that’s your thing, then you will definitely love this book. This is book 3 in the series – you don’t need to have read the first two, however they will give away some plot lines from the previous books. Lark is the opposite of her academic sisters, enjoying her lifestyle of teaching art and travelling to sell her own work – just like her mum. Six years ago she left Hunter, and has avoided coming home but now they have to work together to help Wren & Smith finalise their wedding. This was definitely a case of opposites attract. Lark & Hunter were great characters, very real easy to like. I really enjoyed all the mystery surrounding the family history, and it really helped show the reasons behind Lark’s actions years ago. I loved watching them both re-discover the love they had for each other.

This book! THIS BOOK! Gosh I enjoyed it so so much! The world building and the characters in here are phenomenal! My character list and world info is ever expanding. This story really took me along for a ride! It seems to be sort of a reverse harem anyway that is what is hinted at. Sadly I would have missed out on an amazing story since I usually pass on those types. So I am glad I gave it a go since I devoured the book.
Secondary characters really keep me on my toes. I am figuring out what the purpose is of each just as Vanessa is. I love that! We see some characters from book one in her and meet quite a few new ones. Some good and some not so good.
Overall this is an outstanding story! I enjoyed book one but this one really brought a lot together. Plus the world is perfectly described so I can picture it right along with Vanessa. I highly recommend but suggest you read book 1 first for total enjoyment.

5 Stars Dangerous Curves Boxed Set #1 (Dangerous Curves Books 1-3) by K.L. Montgomery
Dangerous Curves Boxed Set is the first three books in the Dangerous Curves Series by KL Montgomery. This is a Cozy Christian mystery that once you start reading you won’t want to put it down till you finish. Each story has murder mystery and characters that make you feel as if you are right there with them trying to solve the case. Sunshine Baker is a Librarian and she tries to solve each mystery. These stories are easy to read and even more fun to try and figure out the case. I highly recommend reading this Boxed Set. I can’t wait to see what she brings us next.
Usually when I get to the 4th book in a series I’m kind of just reading it because my OCD about finishing things is compelling me to….. BUT THIS IS NOT THE CASE WITH CURSED TOUCH. Renee does it again. She takes two characters and a story line and just propels it out of this world with her creativity. Even though this isn’t my favorite of the Broderick Brothers I was still extremely invested in this story. Who would have thought that your neighbor’s bad luck could end up being your *right place at the right time*.
