The Divided Twin Is book two in the The Divided Series by M. Billiter with Kyle Thomas. This book and book one are so different than any book than any other books i have read and i enjoyed that. The emotions in the story were on high and i needed the tissues a few times for those stubborn tears i couldn’t help but shed. This isn’t all sunshine and rainbows and shows the hard truths of what having a mental illness could do to someone and the people they are close to. I am looking forward to reading more by these authors and i would recommend this to anyone that is looking for something different!

A Divided Mind is young adult story about mental illness. This story was well written and had good main characters. The attention to detail was the best part because i felt like i was in the story and what a interesting story to be in. I liked that this book talks about mental illnesses because it is a very really issue in today’s world and there isn’t enough people talking about them. This story revolves around Branson who has started to hear voices inside his head. We follow him and his family as they take life day by day just trying to hold it together. This is a very descriptive book that grips you with the way Tasha dreams and in such detail. The way the author approaches the subjects of dreams and it’s so beautifully written by the author. You can’t help but want to save Tasha from the grips of these dreams and the bigot boss in them but there is a hold that won’t let loose. I loved that about this book because it’s so emotionally driven as well. These characters are lovable, their stories entwined is intense; such intensity that it seems scary, twisted but mysterious, original and entertaining. The truth is this is so much of a page turner and very easy to read.

Center of Gravityis the first book in the Ice Tigers series, and my first read by Isabella Cassazza. Even though this is the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. But, having said that this story has intrigued me enough to want to go back and read the first book too, before continuing the series. This is a sweet contemporary sports romance about finding love unexpectedly- with a couple of surprises thrown in to keep things interesting. The characters were well developed and endearing- making for a realistic and believable read that you won’t want to put down. Emilia Ravelli has lived in her grandfather’s shadow for so many years trying to live up to his expectations and earn his respect. But no matter what she does, how much she sacrifices, nothing she does seems to please him. She feels like a failure. Keeping up appearances and shouldering all the expectation and responsibility is not only exhausting, but also a little lonely. So, when her latest project fails to live up to her grandfather’s exacting standards, again, Emilia is sent halfway across the world knowing that this new assignment will be her last chance to prove herself. She has a lot riding on its success. One small problem- the assignment means taking over the management of the Boston Ice Tigers hockey team, with no experience in sports management and no clue about hockey, Emilia really doesn’t like her chances of success- especially with the secret she’s carrying. This was a interesting and gripping historical mystery. It was full of suspense and page turning twists and turns that keeps you guessing all the time.
With it being set in the past some of the language and terms used are a bit hard to understand and the story starts off slow but it is definately a book that is worth sticking with. The characters are well written and you cant help getting attached to them.
The main character is Charlie Rob. Charlie is a bit of a home bird and until John Leigh of Leigh Hall takes him under his wing Charlie had never left his home in Aberdeen. Charlie soon finds himself thrown into a murder mystery and he has the task of finding the truth and getting justice, however with conspiracy theories making the task harder will he be able to find out the truth.
I really enjoyed this book and following Charlie’s story and adventure was great. The list of the characters at the beginning of the book was also really helpful and a nice touch that I havent seen before.

I loved reading the story One Hot Texas Summer (Prentice Brothers of Sweet Ridge Book 1) by Nicole Flockton. It is an amazing romance story that will keep you engaged from beginning to end. I didn’t want to put it down until the final page. I loved the characters of Kelly Turner and Tate Prentice. Kelly is an attractive, intelligent woman who also loves being a florist. Tate’s life revolves around his father, family, and farm. The two discover there is an attraction/connection between them. Will this lead to love and a HEA? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. I grew to care about Kelly and Tate. I couldn’t help but root for a happy ending. I loved that family is so important to Tate and Kelly. There are other additional characters with their part to play and they are just as interesting to read about as well. This is a tale that will warm and touch your heart. Don’t miss out on an outstanding romance story. I highly recommend reading it.

The story Her Blackened Soul (The Blackened Series Book 1) by Isra Sravenheart is a suspenseful fantasy book that I enjoyed reading. It pulled me in from the very beginning and I was hooked. It is the tale of Lady Isra who is known as evil and a villain. The story takes some dark corners and will have you wondering what is going to happen next. There is another character of Astrid who is a raven. I found his character to be a more mysterious one. There are a few other additional characters that are interesting to read about who have their part to play in the book. The story takes you to a world of make-believe and had me turning pages. The author does a wonderful job of creating an atmosphere that in parts will make you shiver. Don’t miss out on an intriguing and entertaining story that you will not be able to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

Center of Gravity by Isabella Cassazza I five-star read that is smooth as ice. This is number two in the Ice Tigers Romance series but they can be read as stand-alone, I haven’t read number one and didn’t feel like I missed anything, that being said I will pop back and read number one as I loved this one and am hoping the rest of the series will be just as good. This has great pace and is a fantastic slow burn that will keep you on tenterhooks, the chemistry builds and builds to explosive proportions. The whole back and forth and the misconceptions will keep you hooked and have your heart in your throat one minute and your stomach the next. This is a great story and one I hope many will pick up.

What an adventure this story was! It took a moment for me to become accustomed to the language used but then I had fun looking up Scottish terms and it was like learning another language! The characters were superbly developed and quickly fell into categories of love them or hate them. Although, it must be said that some characters kept you guessing about their true motives through multiple twists and turns. Highly recommended!

One Hot Texas Summer (Prentice Brothers of Sweet Ridge #1) by Nicole Flockton is a quick read and a good start to the series. I enjoyed the characters but at times I wanted to smack Tate because of frustration. The relationship is tense at times and I felt there could have been a bit more lightness and witty banter to loosen things up a bit and the age difference didn’t help. Having said all that, it is a sweet romance and the story came together nicely as trust and love came into the equation.

The Widow: A Dark Romantic Fantasy by Naomi Valkyrie and Rebecca E. McEwen was a great 5 star read. I was pulled right in by the author’s writing. The further I got into the story the quicker the pages were turning so I could see what was coming next.
Vashti has lived alone since her husband passed away. Looking for companionship she decides to invite Absalom to stay with her. It works out great for the two of them, however when one of his friends shows up things take an interesting twist. Will they be able to keep their friendship intact or will Simeon interfere?
Overall I really enjoyed this read. I really loved the characters, they added so much to the story. We get mystery, dark elements, surprises and so much more that will pull you right in. Loved this story! I love a good sports based romance and this didn’t disappoint. I loved the characters of Emilia and Matt and really enjoyed their character development. This author did a beautiful job crafting the storyline and developing very relatable characters. I loved every page and am excited to find this is part of a series. This will be a series I will most definitely read every book.

I enjoyed reading the book Bird in a Snare (The Lord Hani Mysteries Book 1) by N.L. Holmes. This is a book that has mystery, murder, danger, and is intriguing. This book was written in ancient Egypt and the detail the author added not only to the description of life, but the characters was amazing and off the charts. It truly brought the book to life and made it more enjoyable to read. Hani is sent to investigate a murder and bring back proof to his superiors, so justice is served. But who can he believe and trust? Will he be able to bring back the proof? I recommend reading this book and can’t wait for more.

Center Of Gravity by Isabella Cassazza was a wonderful read! This is the first novel I’ve read from this author, and and I’ve never read a book from the Ice Tigers Hockey series before, but this standalone was great, and I wasn’t confused in the least. Everything that needed to be explained got explained fairly quickly, and there was no confusion in past events. I was instantly enthralled in this entertaining romance novel the moment I started reading. It was touching, and fulfilling, and extremely satisfying to read. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!

Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream by Joanne Patterson is the second book in the Rebecca Steele series and my first book by this author. I am a sucker for a book that takes place in any part of my home state. That might have drawn me to the book but Joanne’s writing and great characters are what had me flipping the pages.
Great storyline, really like the little twist. As this is standalone, I can’t wait to go back and read the first book just to get to know Rebecca Steele a little better. Can’t wait to see what Rebecca’s next adventure going to be.

This is my first book by N.L. Holmes. I love a good murder mystery, and this book delivered. I couldn’t get enough of the writing style and the story itself. It does have a historical aspect that I’m not used to enjoying, but did! Our main character is Lord Hani, an Egyptian detective. He is sent to investigate a murder and what he discovers is a plot that takes him on a dark and dangerous journey. I can’t wait for more!

This book is just incredible. I didn’t really know where the book was going, but I loved the journey it took me on and was pleasantly surprised each time something unexpected happened. I loved Vashti. Simeon and Absalom are also very good characters and great additions. I found the story so compelling and could not put it down. I was eager to see what happened next, but I could not rush through the book. I devoured this book — something I have not done in a long time. The fact that the story is so different from most romantic fantasies made me love this book even more. I reall h tsee kore of this world in the future.
If you are a fan of dark romantic fantasies, this book is for you.

This is a wonderfully written historical fiction novel which took me back to Scotland twenty years after the Battle of Culloden, when there remained strong feelings amongst the Jacobites. The narrative is written in the Scottish dialect of the era which I found hard going to start with but I soon got used to the language and the list of less common words at the end of the book also helped. The list of characters at the start of the book was extremely useful as there are many characters to keep track off. The main character and our hero of the story is Charlie Rob, and until John Leith of Leith Hall takes him under his wing Charlie had not been away from his home in Aberdeenshire and had certainly never been political in his thinking. However the quiet and steady Charlie soon finds himself in the middle of a murder mystery and having to cope with conspiracies in his journey to get justice. Charlie Rob is a very likeable and realistic character and he really made the story for me. The storyline moved along at a good pace and had plenty of twists and turns that kept me guessing and happily turning the pages. The author really made the Scottish era come alive with her detailed descriptions of both time and place. Her obvious knowledge of the historical background of the era also comes through in her writing and I found the historical note by the author at the end fascinating. I was gripped by the story and although this is the first novel by this author I have read, I was pleased to see she has others that I can also now read and I’m pleased to have discovered a new historical fiction writer.

This was a great story about a woman who’s loss of her partner ruled her life. Vashti’s life seems to be on hold since her partner Anton has passed but that all changed when she met Absalom.
Absalom is in college and falls on hard times when his girlfriend kicks him out. To help him Vashti offers him a place to stay but with certain conditions.
When his friend Simeon finds himself also homeless his friend offers him a home but could this be one person to many. Can Vashti’s secret remain secret or will one of her lodgers let it sleep.
This was a gripping story with a huge twist at the end that I didn’t see coming.

The Widow was a surprising book for me, but a very good surprise. I always love it when an author, or in this case authors, manages to take me by surprise.
Vashti lost her husband a year ago and is still carrying the weight of his death. She feels trapped and alone, but one day forces herself to make a change. She leaves her home to venture into the nearby town, and that’s where the story really begins. Vashti meets Absalom when he rescues her from a run in with an angry man she accidentally knocks into. In turn Vashti rescues Absalom too, he ends up staying with her when things in his life change and his well made plans are ruined. As the pair become closer things take a romantic turn, Vashti feels happiness after feeling empty for so long. When Absalom’s friend from college turns up, their new found peace is put at risk.
What drew me into this book was the beautiful, in depth descriptions at the start. I could feel Vashti’s pain and loneliness through the words in the book, and I was hooked. The story has some unexpected twists and turns, and you really feel as though you are taken on a journey with the characters. This is a short story that will leave you wanting more. Great if you want a story to read in one sitting.

The Widow: A Dark Romantic Fantasy by Naomi Valkyrie and Rebecca E. McEwen is quite a surprising little package- a dark and mysterious fantasy that is so much more than it first appears. I really don’t want to go into any detail as I don’t want to give away the clever and surprising twist that really gave this book an added element of intrigue. The characters are really well developed with their own personalities, quirks and flaws. The scene setting and storytelling is quite rich, imaginative, and vividly descriptive. The authors have woven a lot into a relatively small amount of space, choreographing all the elements into quite an enthralling read. They also manage to infuse quite a lot of emotion into the storyline, making it easy to connect with the characters and invest in them and the outcome of their story. Well Done! I enjoyed this suspense-thriller book. This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more from this author. This is the first book in this series and I can’t wait to read the next one. This is a well written story that has characters that are well rounded and made the story easy to read. The twists and turns had me turning pages fast just waiting to see what was lurking around the corner. This is Logan’s story. She has lost everything and just when she thinks she is starting again her best friend is accused of murder. She now needs to find the murderer but the more she digs the more secrets reveal themselves. Will she find the murderer before they strike again? This is a great story that I read in one afternoon. It kept me wanting to see what happened next. I highly recommended this book.

I enjoyed this fantasy-romance book. This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more from them. This is a well developed story that has witches, magic and other mythical creatures. The characters are creative and made the story for me. They are easily connectable and made the story easy to read. Lady Isra is a dark witch that is about to go a little darker. She also meets a cute raven that will take her to a place she isn’t sure about. But she follows him anyway and this is the start of an adventure that kept me turning pages to the end. If you are looking for a fantasy book that is full of romance and magic this is great for you. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens with the witch and the raven.

I enjoyed this book. This is a shorter romance story that is engaging and kept me turning pages to the end. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites of her yet. I had no issues connecting with the characters as they brought the story to life. They made the story easy to read. This is a story about Kelly and Tate. Kelly has not had the best relationships in the past and now she is being forced to work with the town’s player. Will she give him a chance? Will she see who he really is? I enjoyed watching these two grow throughout the book and their chemistry mixes well. I highly recommend this book. It is a great story to heat up anyone’s day.

This was the first book that I have read by this author and I enjoyed it and I am looking forward to reading more. This was a fun book to get into and it was a pretty quick read for me. I fell in love with the idea of Kelly and Tate from page one. Kelly has been cheated on in the past, which makes her very skeptical. Tate has never been one to be monogamous. So when they come together to plan a festival, they can really get to know each other. I loved the flow of this book and I can not was to see what happens next in Sweet Ridge.

Bird In A Snareis the first book in The Lord Hani Mysteries by N.L Holmes. This is an historical mystery set in ancient Egypt, which the author does an excellent job of recreating and bringing to life. I could feel the authors passion for the period shine through in her writing, which added to the whole atmosphere of the story. Hani is a fantastic character, who along with the rest of the cast, help to bring this story alive. He is a loving father, husband, and a respected diplomat. This mystery begins when he is sent to far away Syria, uncovering a murder which could bring a great political backlash. Add in more dead bodies, corruption, politics, hidden agendas, and simmering tension- and this story really takes off. Looking forward to seeing what Hani gets up to in the next book!

Some books take several pages to get me hooked, this one got me right away. The way Gaia B Amman writes this romance/mythical/suspenseful tale makes you realize that it’s getting better as you read it. The characters are wonderful, smart, independent, and complex all at the same time. Tasha and Josh’s relationship is very relatable which gets you to connect to the story even more. Ms. Amman is a new author I will be adding to my list to follow. Can’t wait to read some of her other books soon.

The Widow: A Dark Romantic Fantasy by Naomi Valkyrie and Rebecca E McEwen is a really great story that will grab you on the very first page and won’t let you go until the end. The two authors’ writing styles blend together and make this book flow smoothly. Vashti, Absalom and Simeon are great characters and the story kept me wondering what could possibly come next. I really like these two authors and I’m going to put them both on my TBR list.
