Another Yesterday is the second book in the Seashells and Second Chances collection by Angela Christina Archer.
In 1966, Maggie ran away from her home town after things didn’t turn out as she’d planned. With her baby daughter in tow she finds somewhere new to forget her past and build her future.
Thirty years later, Rachel thought she had it all, a wonderful husband and successful career. But life is never that simple, and her life takes a dramatic turn, forcing her to face her past and her future.

Be warned, this book is an emotional rollercoaster. There are highs and lows that keep you turning the page for more. The characters are wonderful and I was hooked from the start. You will fall in love with Maggie, Rachel and their stories. As the story follows them both of them two time periods are covered, I loved finding out the backstories and it was easy to switch between the past and the present.
I would recommend this book to anyone.

These stories pull you in and keep holding your heart. They are filled with romance and so much steam… Tamara Ferguson and her Wounded Warriors books definitely pull at your heartstrings. I love how she brings light and sexy romance to a very serious topic. I highly recommend this Anthology as well as any other books by this wonderful authors.

I loved reading the Feisty Heroines Romance Collection of Shorts Anthology. These stories include strong, independent, feisty, and stubborn heroines. The stories include romance, vampires, danger, and fantasy. I love reading anthologies as I get to read stories by authors that I know and also discover new authors as well. These stories have a way of pulling you in and I found myself not wanting to put the book down. “Just one more story I would tell myself.” The authors have created wonderful storylines and unforgettable characters. One of the stories that I loved is:

I loved the story Good Bones by Maggie Adams in this box set. The main characters are stubborn, determined, and attracted to each other. The story is about family legacies, a mystery, and two people finding a connection. It has me hooked from the start and turning pages to find out what happens. It is an example of how the author has created a story with a wonderful storyline and characters. I enjoyed the historical references. This is a tale that had my emotions going up and down with the characters. It is a story perfect for this box set.

When your world is thrown into turmoil at a young age can you recover and love and live again.

First off I need to say you will need a box of tissues, a quiet room where no one can see you cry and just soak up this glorious book. I rarely give five stars for books, although the books are brilliant in writing and characters a five star book to me has to hit me square in the chest and I have to have real gut emotion which this book does. OH MY GOSH does it.

The book follows the life of Maggie through her life and the ups and downs which follow her and boy does she have some downs, but when she finds solace in a seaside town and finds a family of sorts she starts to believe that all goods things come to those who wait. As the story goes through her life in this sleepy town it also crosses with her daughter Rachel in her life.

Rachel escaped from Shadow Brook leaving behind her family and close friends, she is a big city editor for a publishing company and has a loving husband. They have strived to have children which Maggie is pleading her to have but as the story goes through she can’t conceive so she has basically given up hope. Until one early trip back from the office to surprise her husband, her husband surprises her which has her running back to Shadow Brook and finding tragedy.

As the stories intertwine you get a feeling of the relationship Rachel had with her mother and the secrets which were buried deep all those years ago but will a stranger in the Inn open Pandora’s box and reveal a secret which has been kept from Rachel for her whole life and will she ever be the same.

I loved this book and cried so much my emotions where all over the place, the characters where rich and warm and I instantly engaged with the story from the first words. Please if there is one book you need to read it’s this one, this is the first book I have read by this author and would love to read the first book in this instalment and the rest. Thank you for letting us into your world.

Blind Magic. The Sanctuary Chronicles (Book 2) by India Kells. What a truly fantastic read. I adored this book. Real fantasy and a completely unique story. I couldn’t put this book down and was hooked from start to finish. India Kells is a awesome author, she’s got such a talented writing style and knows how to keep her audience captivated. Sera is a witch who’s recently lost her sight and given the gift of visions but Sera and people around her are in danger. Ian is a Wolf with past issues, who is drawn to Sera even though he shouldn’t be. These two characters were brilliant to get to know both their stories were intriguing and I enjoyed reading them.

Dead Magic: The Sanctuary Chronicles by India Kells is a fantastic addition to this series. It has such strong and gripping characters that will pull you entirely in to the book. Violet and Finn just worked so well together, you could feel their connection despite how much they may not want it to be there.
The story was interesting too. I wanted to find out what was going on and it really made the pages turn quick. This author really knows how to write a great book. Everything I have read by her I have enjoyed and this is no exception. I would highly recommend this book and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Dares & Dice is the fifth book in the Spicetopia series by Phoebe Alexander. As with the rest of the books in this series, this is a really captivating contemporary romance. You don’t need to have read the rest of the series to enjoy this one- but I really recommend that you do, as all the books are fantastic in their own right, as well as setting the atmosphere for the series as a whole and allow you to ‘see’ what goes on at the ‘adult theme park’- Spicetopia. The map at the beginning of the book gives you plenty of ideas on what Spicetopia has to offer. And let’s just say there’s a whole lot of fun to be had on that island!!!
This is a sexy, flirty and fun story- with humour, funny banter and antics, a little drama, surprises, sizzling chemistry, and lots more.
What happens when a bachelor party at an adult theme park meets a bachelorette party in full swing at the same venue? Roll the dice and place your bets, because the sparks are going to fly!
The story was such a fun read, with a few surprising developments thrown in to keep things quite intriguing!
Another fabulous read from Ms. Alexander!
Hope there’s a book #6 in the works!!!

Girl Trap (The Madeline Dawkins Series Book 3) by Cynthia Hamilton

This series gets better with each book and this is now my favorite of the series. I was sitting at the edge of my seat flipping pages as fast as I could just to find out what was going to happen.

Mike and Madeline are working separately for the first time since opening up their agency. Mike’s in LA helping his cousin while Madeline is in San Louis Obispo trying to track down a daughter who doesn’t want to be found. I liked Madeline from the beginning but I think I love her now. She is a bad chick and not afraid of anything at this point. And holy cow, what about Mike!? He moved up the ladder a lot after reading this.

Two very determined people will get things done and they certainly do here. I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend you give it a read.

Taking on a new identity, she now works as a private investigator. She takes on a case that she believes is simple but turns out to be much more complicated and she almost dies. Though she trusts no one, she realizes that she needs help and recruits a ghost, werewolf and a vampire. With such a mish mash of supernaturals, things get quite interesting.

I loved this book! Alice is a force to be reckoned with yet she is insecure and closed off for the most part. Opening up is hard for her considering her past. I adored the characters and the dynamics between each of them. The world building and premise of the story will keep you riveted to your seat unable to put the book down. This is going to be an awesome series.

Her past begins to unravel as she must decide who she can and can’t trust along the way. I loved the characters from Louvette to her friend Cara and her relationship with Arsen. This is just book one and can’t wait to see what the others have in store!

He doesn’t believe he’ll ever replace her but when he meets Sera and her energy draws him in from her intelligence to her strong will. Drawn to who she is, he can’t leave without protecting her even if she doesn’t know it.
I loved the characters’ chemistry and the way they’re drawn to one another in a way that is undeniable. The action kept the reader on their toes watching and protecting Sera just like Ian does. The mystery is suspenseful and intriguing. Love this one!

This is a beautiful book with unexpected turns and secrets along the way. Maggie, in 1966, ran from her hometown after her life turned upside down with a baby in tow but still young. Thirty years later, Rachel seeks a better life for herself other than the inn but a better life in New York with the sexy husband, great career, and the fast-paced city life. Life throws you curveballs when everything seems to be going right.
Rachel’s life is turned upside down after catching her husband cheating, her mom dies when she turns to Shadow Brook but rekindles her life with her high school sweetheart, Luke. When renovations are underway at the inn, Rachel comes across her mom’s old letters and journals in the attic.
This is a beautiful story of forgiveness, love, overcoming hardship and full of sweet and sensual with a sense of humor to make this book a beautiful read!

Summer’s Stolen is my second book by Sarah Biglow. Both the first and second books were something I could not put down until I had read it all. In this installment Ezri, our main female character, is finding her footing in the world as both a cop and the Savior of the Magical Community. It was a great story as Ezri tries to put together the pieces of what is going on with her cases. My favorite characters are back and new ones are introduced as Ezri rushes to solve the mystery. It was well written and drew me in. Just a great story and welcome addition to this new amazing series.

Another Yesterday is the 2nd book in the Seashells and Second Chances Collection by Angela Christina Archer. This is a series where the lead women are overcoming hardships and are looking for a second chance. Each of the books in this series can be read as a stand-alone. This was the first time I had read any of this author’s work. I was taken in by the blurb and decided to give it a chance. I’m so glad that I took a chance on this book as I thoroughly enjoyed it.
In Another Yesterday we get 2 different tales, one of the mother Maggie and the other, her daughter Rachel. This is a very emotional book that will pull you in from the very beginning and will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions and not let you go until the very end.
I absolutely loved both women’s stories. The author has created 2 amazing characters and you can’t help but be totally drawn in and moved by their stories. Both women have bad experiences the first time they fall in love but fight on and face a second chance at finding true love. Will the 2 women find true love at the second attempt? I urge you to read this great book and find out for yourself.

The first time she killed for Moses her grandfather she was 6 years old. To get away from that life she had to fake her death and become Alice Worth. She has to make sure her identity is hidden because she would for sure be killed if her grandfather found her. When she is hired to investigate the disappearance of a object of power she gets help from Malcom a ghost running from his past. During the search her client is kidnapped and she must find her and the object before its too late!. Will Alice find the object of power and her client before its too late or will Alice really end up dead?

Loved this book!! From beginning to end I was completely captivated by Finn and Violet’s story! The author (who I adore) wove a magical paranormal romance tale of two wonderful characters! There was so much going on in the story that I couldn’t put it down at all and read it in one sitting! The story just flowed easily from page to page – I think this could possibly be one of my favourite books by Ms Kells! I love how Violet and Finn really shouldn’t be together, Violet hates vampires, but there was something there between the two of them that was undeniable! I loved the interaction between the two of them! I did feel for Violet and what happened to her in her past and Finn really wanted to protect her.
I absolutely adored this story and cannot recommend it enough to other readers!

The story Virtually Gone (High-Tech Crime Solvers Book 6) by Jacquie Biggar is a thrilling book to read. It pulled me in from the start and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a story that has mystery, suspense, and danger. I loved reading about the characters of Julie Crenshaw and Matthew Roy. Julie is an investigative reporter who when on a story is determined to follow it to its conclusion. The one that she is on now could be the case of a lifetime. Matthew is a detective who is frustrated by the fact that he hasn’t been able to bring a rapist to justice. When the suspect escalates his crime to murder, Matthew knows that he has to bring him in. The one question is how? Read this book to see if Matthew solves the case. This is a story that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. I loved the way that the author writes about the technology used in the investigation. I also enjoyed the interactions and bantering back and forth between the characters. This is a fast-paced book that will keep you guessing. I highly recommend reading it.

I am a self proclaimed dedicated fan of Sylvie Stewart, I’ve read many of her books and one day plan to read them all. I really enjoyed this one although maybe not my favorite so far.

Not sure why but it took me a bit to get totally wrapped up in the story and that’s unusual. I did love the characters. The back and forth of Milo and Jill was fun to read. I love a good friends to enemies to lovers story which is what kept me in this book. I don’t know why but I didn’t really like the going back in time part. I’m not sure if there was just too much of it or what I had a problem with, I did skim quite a bit of that. I know it was needed but for some reason a lot of it did not interest me. I think it might be because I enjoyed the present day so much that I didn’t like breaking off and going back. I have read Jenna’s Story but I need to go back and read The Nerd Next Door because somehow I missed that one.

I did still 100% love this book. I love this author and will always read whatever she offers. I can’t wait for book 3, Ponch and Andie I have a feeling will be fun to read.

This is an anthology that is full of short stories that have action, romance and paranormal. Each story has a heroine that is the star of the story. This is a great collection of stories by some great authors. Some are my favorites and some are new to me. There is something for everyone and the adventures they take you on from castles to sexy exs and everything in between. My favorite story was by Maggie Adams – Good Bones. It was exciting and a well developed story. It left me wanting more and turning pages fast. I really enjoyed it for sure. I loved seeing females being the star of the stories and being the heroines which we don’t always see in stories. The males were supportive and steamy. I highly recommend this book. I know you will find a favorite among them.

I enjoyed this suspenseful, mystery story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites for sure. It is a well written story that made me feel as if I was part of the story. I had no problem connecting with the characters and they pulled me into the story right from the beginning. The twists and turns left me turning pages fast. It is a shorter story that is creative and fast paced. Julie gets a case of her life but will mean losing her life to get the headline? Detective Matthew is frustrated that Julie won’t listen to him but will he be able to protect her before she becomes the next rapist’s victim? I highly recommend this book and this author.

This is the second book in the Servant of God’s Series.

The adventure continues as Evan (Evandros) and his companions carry on their search for the relics to save the gods from Christianity. They have found one and are on the journey to find the second one.

Their journey is met with plenty of challenges which they have to overcome. Evan knows he needs to find the relics so he can return home to the 21st century.

Its a great book full of myths and legends which are more real than anyone imagines. The author describes the places in great detail that you can actually imagine you are there in that time period. Where myths and legends become reality.

    Another Yesterday (Seashells and Second Chances Collection Book 2) by Angela Christina Archer is a wonderfully written story that I found myself drawn in from the beginning and I couldn’t stop reading till the end. Wow what an emotional rollercoaster ride, I pretty much either was teary eyed or close to it the whole time. At times it really pulled at my heartstrings. I will say at first I was a bit confused by the switching back and forth but I realized what was going on and it flowed from there. Rachel is a woman who finds her husband in bed with another woman . Her mother passes away and she finds herself leaving the life she knew to go back to Shadow Brook to the inn her mom owned. She is renovating the inn when she comes across a box of her moms stuff inside is letters and journals. Rachel learns so much from these journals Her mom Maggie was 19 when she ends up in Shadow Brook with a tiny baby. Will Rachel find herself again? Will she get a second chance at love ? Get ready for a emotional rollercoaster ride that you won’t regret reading. I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait to read more from this Author.View all my reviews

I wanted to not have them at all.”

 

Another Yesterday is the second book in the Seashells and Second Chances Collection by Angela Christina Archer. Even though this is the second book in a series, it can be read as a standalone, as each book focuses on different characters. But after reading this book, I will definitely go back to read book one as well because if it’s anything like this story, it’s bound to be wonderful.
This is a sweet and sensual, contemporary romance with second chances, emotion, humour, secrets, sacrifice, betrayal, new beginnings, overcoming hardship, challenges, small town life, discovery, two timelines, family, mother-daughter relationships, surprising developments, and some drama.
This is my first book by Angela Christina Archer- so I was excited to see what lay in store for me. Ms. Archer writes beautifully- easily drawing me into the story and keeping me turning the pages. I found myself completely engrossed in the storyline, immediately investing in the characters and the outcome of their stories. I didn’t expect there to be such an emotional component to the story, which really tugged at my heartstrings. The way the story is written with several perspectives, and two different timelines- gave this story so much added interest, as well as revealing several surprising developments which I never saw coming.
Maggie arrives in Shadow Brook in 1966, having left everything she knew behind in the hope of starting fresh with her baby girl. The small town in Maine becomes home, with the beautiful old Inn becoming her sanctuary, where she could embrace the future and leave her past behind. Moving forward thirty years, Rachel (Maggie’s daughter) has returned to Shadow Brook after her own heartbreak. It isn’t exactly where she wants to be- but life has a way of throwing you curve-balls when you least expect it. Rachel is about to face the past from two separate directions- one in the form of hidden family secrets, and the other in the form of her former high school sweetheart, Luke. What ensues makes for a captivating read.
Looking forward to the rest of this series.

After being removed from her most recent school, she learns that she inherits her grandfather’s estate. As she settles into the Mansion, her past comes to fruition and she finds out who she can truly trust. Mystery and growth on top of all the other things. I was truly surprised. Eager to see what happens next!!

This is the first book I read by Risa. I was hesitant because it’s listed as a children’s book but I enjoyed it. The mystery that surrounds it is interesting but remains a mystery until the end. It’s well-written and a very well-developed idea. Plenty of emotion with just as much realism. You’ll have to read to get to know Rocky and his story. But you’ll be as Enchanted as I was!!!

What can I say about Girl Trap (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery Book 3) by Cynthia Hamilton. I can say it’s a great little mystery. I can say it has great characters. I can say it has an intricate plot that totally blind sided me. But there’s so much more to this story. Not only has Ms. Hamilton created a great story she doubled it up. You get two for one in this escapade. Madeline’s story and Mike’s story. I love all things Madeline and Mike but I especially love the way Madeline works through her own tragedies. We get an up close and personal look at how someone copes with the traumas of life. Great mystery, great action and just the right touch of good clean romance. Cynthia Hamilton is a name I will remember and one I will only be too happy to pass along to others.

Another great read for this series. Two mysteries send these 2 in separate directions but it doesn’t end there. I hate even thinking of giving something away in a mystery so I’ll let you be the judge when you read this. I cannot wait for the next book after how this one ended!

Swallowed by a Secret by Risa Nyman is her debut book and the story of a young boy who has lost his father but all may not be as it seems. The story is engaging and deals with sensitive issues which Risa has done well. This tale evoked emotions from laughter to tears as we struggle along the way and go on this adventure with Rocky and his friend as they look into the mystery of his father’s disappearance. Even though the story is aimed at a younger audience I still found myself invested in the outcome.

Another Yesterday (Seashells and Second Chances Collection Book 2) by Angela Christina Archer heartfelt story that is told by several POV’s. The story jumps back and forth as one or the other tells their story, mother and daughter but years apart. It is easy to fall in love with and get lost in the characters and the world Angela has created.

A young mum finds a home in a small town away from everyone and starts to build a life for herself and her daughter.

Years later Rachel finds her life falling apart as the man who promised forever broke everything. She soon finds herself back in the small town she left many years ago trying to put her life back together. She also finds that there are many secrets that she never saw coming.
