Shift Happens (New Orleans Nocturne’s book 2) by Carrie Pulkinen is a 4.5 star read. Sophie has settled in New Orleans near her best friend and vampire Jane, she started her dog walking business and she gets bitten by a werewolf, Sophie hopes that come the full moon she doesn’t turn furry as she’s hoping to uncover her witches magic of only she can get someone from the coven to help her. Trace is a red wolf, he’s also the werewolf who bit Sophie, if his pack finds out her bit her he will be in so much trouble as he’s supposed to be investigating her as his pack thinks she has something to do with a missing wolf and some strange things that are happening to the other shifters around him. I really enjoyed this story, I felt able to connect with these characters more than I did with the first book.

Rise by Via Mari a five-star read that will rise above. This is number two in the Larussio Legacy and I would wholeheartedly read them in order as the sparks they just keep rising until they feel like they may just become as explosive as fireworks. This one is a must read, you must set everything aside and focus on reading as you will forget everything else exists as this is thrilling, and action packed, full of drama and just a powerful read. The chemistry is just palpable, and the pace of the novel is so well done, you don’t feel like its rushed or patchy it just flows and builds and creates a volcano of emotion.

Oh my goodness! I absolutely loved this book, one of my favorite tropes is friends to lovers and this book did that total justice. Friends since they were little, Alex and Max are close and when Alex gets into a big problem, Max is there to help. But with that comes some muddy water with feelings coming into play that may have been pushed to the side. I really did love this story and the journey it took. Very realistic and could see being in this story with them. Cant wait for more by this author!
Ok, it’s been awhile since i read the first book, but i was able to jump right back into the series. I really really loved this book, and the way the story unfolded kept me hooked until the end. The twists, turns, and just everything made the story what it was. Owen and Genevieve, how do you describe them without making them sound awful lol, it was like cats and dogs or cats and water, love/hate would work too but its unique.
I honestly dont want to ramble on about this as the story as a whole is best read that way. Read book one, Who, first so you have background info and the story before this one. Cannot wait for the next book.

Anger by Mina Chara a five-star read that won’t leave you angry. This is number two in the Hero High series and the setting of Icon city is well done, it suits the type of story and the characters well. This is the story of Friday Fitzsimmons and her second year of Hero high; she just gets more of a sublime character, watching her struggle with fitting in and anxiety, just makes the daily struggle a little easier knowing that others face it as well. This story will take your breath away, you will be kept guessing all the way through, my heart was pounding so hard at one point I didn’t realise how long I had held my breath, but I was so swept up in the story I couldn’t stop myself.

This is the first time I’ve read a book by either authors. This is a book about a teenage girl who discovers she is different and can’t be caught by anyone. Anya’s story has a lot of action, twists and turns and events that keep you turning the page. It was the only story like this I’ve ever read. Meaning in this genre, it stands out. I’m curious to see where the next installment of this story takes us and how they’re going to keep up with the same level as the first book. I’m excited to find out. It’s a good read, and short enough to finish in a day for an avid reader.

Southern Promises : The Complete Series, by K.G. Fletcher. This series had me from page one of the first book. Book 1: Georgia Clay Katie Parker has always put her career first. So when she attends her ten year reunion, the last thing she ever expected was to end up in the back of Clay Watkins pick up truck. Clay always had the biggest crush on Katie and figured their reunion was the perfect time to pursue her. Will they be able to have a long distance relationship when Clay’s performing career takes a flying leap or are they going to end before they even get the real chance to begin? Book 2: Georgia on My Mind Hart is back home living in his sisters house after losing his job in DC, when he was caught in a compromising position. Gia Bates is struggling to survive and keep her dance studio above water. She is working anonymously as a Marilyn Monroe impersonator when she meets Hart. When he saves her after the party from a handsy guy, he knows that he needs to see and know more about her. Will they be able to overcome the obstacles in their path or will they be torn apart by those obstacles? Book 3: Georgia Pine We briefly met Jessica in book two and my heart broke for her, I was so glad to read her story and watch her find her happiness. Meeting and falling in love with Tim, was just the icing on the cake!! Tim is definitely not who everyone thinks he is, but that just makes the story better. The chemistry between Jessica and Tim from the first time they saw each other was amazing, seeing how he treated and fell in love with her girls was the sweetest thing ever!!! I absolutely loved this entire series and I only wish there was more!!!

Fletcher – Review by Lucy Berson
I was glued to my kindle reading this book. It started off interesting and then became slow. Too much interest in the case. Then once the Detective started getting more involved (his times kept me riveted) it picked back up. Then it became a “hold onto your hat” wild crazy ride until the end.
The main characters were good and their connection to each other is like dogs and cats. I struggled to put the book down when they had their verbal sparring. Sparks seemed to fly! I really enjoyed Owen! He is so much more than I expected. His drive to get her is amazing! I wasn’t such a fan of the big bad lawyer(Genevieve) persona. When push comes to shove and it seemed to often…she flailed. She became a simpering woman. I got the impression she was a “take no crap” bada$$ lady but she seems to be that way in the courtroom only. She does have a wicked mouth on her and is able to spew some great comebacks to other characters.
My other issue is the time for the injuries to heal (seems non-existent) before either more are inflicted or a sexual escapade. Just seemed weird she wasn’t ever in pain past the next afternoon. I think I had this problem in the first book as well.
Overall it’s a story that gets better the further I read it. It took me into the wee hours of the morning because that ending…Whew! Totally worth it! I do recommend this book and I look forward to the next.

My entire life I have loved fairy tales and folktales from far and near. Baba Ali and the Clockwork Djinn by Danielle Ackley-McPhail and Day Al- Mohamed is a superb retelling of Ali Baba and the 40 thieves. Come Along on this page turning, romantic tale with Ali and his beautiful Morgiana. It’s an adventure you don’t want to miss and I can almost guarantee you will love this story.

I have to tell you that my favorite thing about this book was that it is a good clean Romance. In releasing her power within (Fae Shifters Book 1) by Madilynn Dale, we have a good little tale about Shifters with the added twist of the Fae mixed in. By the time you get to the core of the story you’re very well acquainted with the characters and the world they live in. Book one will certainly give you an appetite for book 2.

Forbidden Desires: Taken by her Son’s Best Friend by L.M. Mountford Four Stars
Forbidden Desires: Taken by her Son’s Best Friend is the first book in the Confessions of a Trophy Wife by L.M. Mountford. This is the first book I have read by L.M. Mountford, but will definitely won’t be the last. This short read is an older woman/younger man steamy hot book. Elisabeth and Huge have chemistry. I found myself wanting to more about the characters, so I hope we will get book 2 in the series soon.

Why (Stalker Series Book 2) by Megan Mitcham was a great 5 star read.
The story starts with Genevieve representing her mentor and boss in court. He is being accused of killing his family, a family that she has known personally. She gets a lot of heat representing him but she ends up winning the case.
There is also a detective that has gotten her attention following the case. He was on the other side and had warned her that she was representing a killer. You could feel their attraction coming off the pages. When Perry starts to act differently she starts to watch him closer. This is when she runs into the detective once again.
Could Perry be guilty? What will she find out? And, will Genevieve and the hot detective get together for more than a conversation?
Overall I really enjoyed this read. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time trying to figure things out right along with Genevieve. All the secondary characters added a great element to the story. I really like the friends that she has, they are very supportive of her. If you are looking for a great thrilling read, this is the series for you. Each book can be read as a stand alone. 1-click and get started today.

All The Wrong Reasons: A Serendipity Falls Novel by Erin Bevan
This is such a sweet romance. This is the first book I have read by this author and I’m glad I have a new one to add to my must read collection. This story is about Alex and Max who have been best friends for a very long time. They find that each of them seem to be in a predicament and their solution is to get married. Alex has found herself pregnant from a one night stand and her job may be in jeopardy. Max is a business owner running for a political office and he needs to fix his playboy reputation. I found myself rooting for these two because they both deserve love and happiness. This book was very well written, I was drawn in and loved the characters. I highly recommend this book.
Anger (Hero High Book 2) by Mina Chara. This series keeps getting better. I highly recommend reading these in order to fully understand and enjoy this adventure. While it’s on the shorter side it still had me guessing and turning the pages as fast as possible. This story holds so many things I love from drama and suspense to action and adventure. The characters are complex, relatable and pulled me in from page one. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. Four big stars for this great story.

Rise (The Larussio Legacy Book 2) by Via Mari. I simply can’t get enough of the stories this author creates and this is no different because once again I was completely hooked from page one and couldn’t put this book down until the very last page. I was on the edge of my seat more than once wondering what would happen next. The characters jump of the pages and bring the story to life for sure. I just found myself lost in the words and not wanting to be found. I recommend reading these books in order. There’s so much going on but you don’t get confused you just sit back and enjoy the ride this author takes you on with characters you won’t be forgetting any time soon. The chemistry between the characters just grabbed me and wouldn’t let go. It’s a well written story that’s paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Five huge stars and highly recommended! Can’t wait to see where the author takes us next!

Why (Stalker Series Book 2) by Megan Mitcham. I’m a fan of many authors and they was they can draw me in with words. But this author seems to take it to another level for me, from start to finish I was completely hooked. You know when you find a really good show and you just binge watch it all, that’s how good this book was. It’s totally binge worthy and I definitely did just that, I simply couldn’t put this book down. It’s just as good, maybe even better than the first one. You can definitely read these as stand-alone’s as intended but I do highly recommend the first one also. The characters are complex and relatable while very intense. The storyline kept me on the edge of my seat the entire story. It’s got suspense, mystery and a bit of romance what’s not to love. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

Why (Stalker Series Book 2) by Megan Mitcham was a great addition to the series. I love a good crime solver. The plot was super intense and had a lot of my favorite types of twists and turns. Forbidden Desires: Taken by her Son’s Best Friend (Confessions of a Trophy Wife Book 1) By L.M. Mountford. While short it still hits all the right spots. From page one I knew I was in for quite the story with characters I loved. I love a story that pulls me in for a while and I can finish in one sitting. Some time short still packs a punch and that can definitely be said about this story. I’ll be honest I did want a bit more of Elizabeth and Hugh but in all I really enjoyed this story. All the Wrong Reasons by Erin Bevan is a great friend to romance story that flowed right off the page and into my heart. The characters are to die for Worts and faults and insecurities and all. This is an emotional read but also funny and a heartfelt read that I was unable to put down and had to read in one sitting. It had a bit of everything and the right mixture to draw you in and some. Erin has done a fantastic job and I look forward to reading more of her work.
Why (Stalker Series Book 2) by Megan Mitcham is a Psychological thriller at its best. It will keep you on the edge of your seat from the start to the end and will have your heart pumping. Megan is one of those writers that gets inside your head and makes you think is this real or what is hiding in the shadows or where is she taking me. I was constantly on my toes and I felt like I had run a marathon by the time I had finished. Even though you don’t have to, I would read the books in order. If ever there should be a movie made these books would be in the running. Megan’s words pop of the page and the psychological aspect is palpable and so, so vivid. The characters are strong successful women and together they take the world by storm, but they are the truest of friends. I would say that this is one of the best books I’ve read this year!

5 Star Aberration (Aberration Series Book 1) by Naomi Valkyrie & Rebecca E. McEwen
I really wish I could give this ten times more stars. I simply devoured this book in one sitting, I literally couldn’t function until I finished. I had to know what was going to happen next. I’ve read other books by Valkyrie and I must say this one is my favorite so far. I can’t really explain it to where it makes sense but my emotions were all over the place. Anyanka’s life changed when she found out she was an aberration. When new secrets and betrayal comes out what will happen next? What happens when new information is found out? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from both these authors.

This novel by Naomi Valkyrie and Rebecca E. McEwen was very good. I enjoy shifter novels and this one grabbed my interest because it was different from normal shifter novels in a way that was unique. The story is about Anyanka and her friends, shifters with a bit of a twist. The story follows them as they explore how they came about and what their existence means for the future and humanity in general. Aberration included some mystery and suspense making it a really good read. This novel by Naomi Valkyrie and Rebecca E. McEwen ended with a cliffhanger which was interesting. I look forward to continuing the journey with Anyanka and her friends as they continue to unravel the mystery surrounding their kind and what the future will hold for them.

5-Stars
Aberration (Aberration Series Book 1) by Naomi Valkyrie & Rebecca E. McEwen was an exciting read. I literally could not stop reading. There is a bit of fantasy, paranormal, romance, and mystery. I loved the creativity behind the characters and the storyline itself. The villain was a shocker to me! I could feel the emotions of the characters after the discovery. I loved the animals and how connected they all were to their other half. It was amazing. I can’t wait to see what comes next for this series especially after that cliff hanger. I highly recommend this book!

Rise is the 2nd book in the Larussio Legacy series by Via Mari and follows straight on where book 1 left. These books need to be read as a series and not as a standalone. Over the last year I have become a huge fan of Via Mari’s writing and I was so excited to see what was in store next for Gio and Serena. Let’s just say that Via Mari has written another cracker. Rule is action packed and had me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning. You are not lead into the story slowly as it’s continued on from the previous book and the high paced action starts straight away in the very first pages. I already adored Gio and Serena from the first book but fell even more for this couple when reading this one. Hard-nosed mafia man Gio has such an amazing other side of his character. His adoration for Serena and his willingness to do anything for her and her beloved Nonna is totally heartwarming. I love the superfast pace of Via Mari’s book’s and this one flowed seamlessly from scene to scene with fantastic, very well written characters that you can’t help but fall for. This book has so much danger, intrigue, action, suspense and HOT romance that you will be glued to it from the very first page, right to the very last one. This series is a MUST read!

Why is book two in Megan Mitcham’s ‘Stalker series’ but can be read as a standalone story. It is a suspenseful courtroom thriller. Prosecutor Genevieve Holst loves the thrill of putting the bad guys behind bars and she owes her undefeated court record to her boss and mentor, Perry. Genevieve is shocked when Perry is accused of murdering his wife and children and straightaway works at defending him in court. Her undefeated record continues and Perry is found not guilty however Genevieve begins to wonder is she was right to believe in Perry as his behaviour becomes more and more suspicious. Guilt ridden at the thought she may have ensured a killer went free she begins her own investigation, by following her mentor and in the process runs into the NYPD Detective Owen Graham who told her not to take the case. Genevieve must decide between saving her career and letting an almost-certain killer go free or risk everything to bring Perry to justice. I loved this psychology thriller which had plenty of suspense and as the blurb says, it really is an “ edge-of-your seat thrill ride”. I found Genevieve a perfect leading character, she is a strong, sassy and tenacious heroine who is likeable and realistic. I found the drama of the courtroom parts gripping and I liked the hint of romance with Owen as well. I found this to be an exciting read with a great fast paced storyline which kept me hooked from page one until the very last page. I look forward to further books in this ‘Stalker’ series.
