I thoroughly enjoyed this page-turner. There were so many elements and twist & turns that I never expected. And full of laughter & tears. I’m struggling to summarize this wonderful story without giving away any of the surprises. How Lisa Lanay has managed to weave so many themes into one story is amazing!

Addie: To Wager on Her Future by Leenie Brown is the fifth book in the Other Pens, Mansfield Park series. This is a sweet regency romance that will draw you easily into the characters. I don’t often read regency books so I always enjoy slipping back into the genre. This book was a great way to do that as well. The characters were really enjoyable to read about. The story was well paced and easy to connect with. It is a relatively quick read so the type of book I would say is perfect for a lazy afternoon. I liked that I didn’t have to have read the other books first although I definitely think I will be adding them on.

I am so loving two of my favorite authors ever teaming up in this series…I especially love since they are both so awesome that the stories flow so smooth, you can not tell there are two authors writing this book.
I love this new Alliance and the people are all fresh and complicated, and awesome, and troubled, and amazing and I can’t wait to read about each one of them.
Kingsley and Sydney were everything each other needed even if they had no idea, Sydney’s past was horrible and it just would not leave her alone. Kingsley gets to head up the Alliance Agency’s first case and must save the niece of a rich and powerful man who is being held for ransom …but further investigation into the whole story brings to light some things that don’t make a lot of sense. I loved the first meeting between Kingsley and Sydney and I fell for him so quick with how he did everything he could to prove to her that she could trust him.
This is going to be an amazing series and I already feel like im completely invested in this group, I can not wait for the next one and all those to come after.
I loved this book! This author continues to impress me with every book that I read of hers. I never hesistate to pick up one of her books, I know that I am in for a page turner. I loved seeing more of the characters we met in Joe Football. They are great characters that make the story feel realistic. In this book we get to see what happens when they go on summer break where secrets are hidden and memories are made. This is a must read.

Risking Everything: A Steamy Anthology of First Responders by Kara Liane, K.L. Montgomery, Harlow Layne, Amanda Siegrist, A.K. MacBride, Jody Kaye, Syd Ryan, Alyne Hart, Kelsey Cheyenne, Larissa Gail. This is an amazing Anthology. I loved all the stories but got it because of K.L. Montgomery! Reconstructed Heart is the story of Trey Prince and Jenna Labato. Jenna is a State Trooper and Trey is starting a new job with a Collision Reconstruction Unit. When Trey makes a startling discovery at an accident scene Jenna is the one who tries to help him pick up the pieces. Trey doesn’t think he will ever recover but Jenna is determined to try. Its a wonderful story with a strong Female lead for a change and I really liked that. Beautiful Persuasion by A.K. MacBride is a great story as well. Its about Raelyn who is reeling from a breakup and Griffin who is a hot, sexy Irishman. When they share a night of passion Raelyn is trying to determine if Griffin is worth losing her family for. Rescuing Ryan by Syd Ryan is a sweet story about a sexy firefighter named Chris and a girl named Ryan who is working her way thru nursing school any way she can. When she meets Chris he is coming off a bad relationship and he realizes Ryan is going to be his most difficult rescue ever. I really loved all these stories. You should read this anthology you will not be disappointed.

The story Summer Break: A Joe Football Novella by Autumn Sand is an amazing novella to read. It hooked me from the beginning, and I didn’t want to put it down until the final page. I loved reading about Brice and Favor again. They have been through tough times however have come out stronger because of it and also closer. To get the full story and background of the characters it is suggested that you read Joe Football first. You will not be disappointed by either story. Brice, Favor, and their friends are off when Brice’s best friend Egon goes to New York to record an album with his band. What will happen on this trip? What does the future hold for Brice, Favor, and their friends? Read this novella to find out. This is a novella that had my emotions going up and down the entire time that I was reading it. The story is engaging, and I didn’t want it to end. I highly recommend reading this novella.

The story Hula Girl by Lara Ward Cosio is a new adult/romance book. It pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until I finished the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Ava and Ford. Ava is a woman who works hard at her job. She is not one for vacations and relationships seem to not work out. She finds herself forced into a vacation and that it is there that she meets Ford. Ford is a man who has decisions that he must make. He has taken time off and loves to wake up and go surfing. Then he meets Ava. There is an attraction, connection, and a pull toward each other. They are comfortable talking to each other which surprises Ava. It was only to be a vacation romance. When she returns to work there is a surprise reunion and Ava finds herself talked into a fake engagement. Ava believes that even though they have feelings for each other their relationship will never work. Can Ford change her mind? What does the future hold for Ford and Ava? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down. I grew to care about Ford and Ava with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to find happiness. I also enjoyed reading about the other characters introduced. Some of them are friends and family and are helpful to Ford and Ava. Others have their own agenda and plans. This is a book whose storyline, characters, and dialogue many times had me with a smile on my face. Don’t miss out on an amazing romance story. I highly recommend reading it.

Holiday Terminal: (A Second Chance Secret Baby Billionaire Holiday Romance) by Gwyn McNamee & Christy Anderson is sooooooo, so good. It is one story that although a quick read, packs a punch and I got thoroughly lost in. This sweet and amazing tale had my heartstrings pulling and emotions all over the place. It is a wonderful Christmas story that is romantic and full of love and frustrations, drama and lies, angst and pain. What a team these ladies make! I enjoy their work separately but together they are an IT team. OMG I just fell in love with these characters who stole my heart.
Penelope finds herself stuck in the middle of nowhere when a storm diverts their plane BUT what she never imaged to find there was the one person who had her heart, mind and soul and left her broken but with a beautiful surprise. It is that very surprise she does not want him to find.
Artemis comes from a very wealthy family who dictate everything in his life. However, his heart was left behind with a beautiful woman he loved with his entire being. He finds himself in a town in the middle of who knows where and the one person he thought he would never see again walks back in his life. Unfortunately he finds that she has kept something from him and that is the one thing he may never forgive her for.
There is so much pain in this beautiful story but it is worth every second becoming invested in these wonderful characters and the world the IT team has created. This was an amazing journey and I can’t wait for more.
Pigs by Daniel James. I’ll be honest this was a bit outside my comfort zone of reading but man am I glad I gave it a shot. This book was packed with suspense, action and twists and turns. Not one minute was I not on the edge of my seat waiting for what would happen next. This author knows how to get even the smallest of details through enough for reader to imagine it all. This book completely sucked me in and I couldn’t put it down. The characters are so well written and the storyline had me hooked. This story will have you heart racing and have you trying to turn the pages as fast as possible to see what happens. I’m really glad I stepped outside my comfort zone and found this author. Can’t wait for more! Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

I’ve read several books by several of these author’s but a couple are new to me. I’ll definitely be checking out more of their books. Reconstructed Heart by K.L. Montgomery is one of my favorites . Once I started reading it I had a hard time putting it down till the end. Trey and Jenna, he makes a horrible discovery when going to a accident scene, she tries helping him out with the aftermath. My emotions were all over the place with this story. Find out what happens next, Will Jenna help him heal? What does their future look like? I highly recommend this Anthology.

Risking Everything was a great 5 star read. This is a great collection of romance stories about first responders, fire fighters, police officers and many more. I was pulled in right from the beginning.
Romance on the Rig – Kara Liane: This is Murf and Lana’s story. They meet when Lana brings her niece and nephew to an event that Murf is at with the first responder vehicle. Lets just say there is a misunderstanding on Murfs part and he’s very short with Lana as she tries to flirt with him. When Lana realizes why Murf was so cold she is determined to talk to him and straighten things out. Will they be able to work things out? Will they get a HEA?
Reconstructed Heart – K.L. Montgomery: This is Trey and Jenna’s story. Trey meets Jenna on the scene of a terrible accident that he discovers involved a fellow police officer and friend. Jenna attempts to be there for Trey but he tries to push her away. When there is a scary turn of events, things change for Trey and how he feels, but could it be too late? There is also something else that really tugs at your heartstrings in this read.
Walk the Line: Gage – Harlow Layne: This is Gage and Claire’s story. Gage is called to a scene of a multi vehicle car accident. Claire is trapped in her car and Gage promises to stay with her. Taking him to his word Claire begs him to come to the hospital with her. There is something about Claire that really calls to him. When things take a scary twist will Gage stay with her or let her go?
Always Kind of Love – Amanda Siegrist: This is Ethan and Penolope’s story. They were high school sweethearts that eventually parted ways. Now Penelope is back in town and throws Ethan for a loop. Can this firefighter convince Penelope to give them another try?
Beautiful Persuasion – A.K. MacBride: This is Raelyn and Griffin’s story. When Raelyn meets Griffin she is pulled in by him, who doesn’t love an Irish accent. When she has to make a choice will she make the right one?
Going Down – Jody Kaye: This is Kat and Dash’s story. Kat is struggling with her parents divorce. She has built up walls to protect herself, but when she meets Dash will he be able to get through them?
Rescuing Ryan – Syd Ryan: This is Ryan and Chris’s story. These two meet when they are both out with other people, when Ryan’s date turns physical Chris steps in to help her. From here they continue to stay in touch and things develop into a steamy relationship. Can they have a HEA?
Perfect for Me – Alyne Hart: This is Luke and Grace’s story. When Grace returns home after several years, these two find themselves caught in a storm and are forced to stay at a cabin that holds lots of memories for them. Let’s just say things get very hot and steamy.
Call of Fate – Kelsey Cheyenne: This is Aubrey and Noah’s story. Aubrey is very protective of her heart, when she meets Noah things change. Can she trust him? Will she run or will she stay?
Loving Lindsey – Larissa Gail: Gavin is known as a player but something is slowly changing for him. As he sees what his friends relationships are turning into, he starts to want the same thing. When he meets Lindsey, has he finally found the one?
Overall, all of these stories were great. I can’t wait to read more from all of these authors. We get so many great stories with different themes and so many hot heroes. Risking Everything is a collection of work by some fantastic authors. All done in aid of an amazing cause this series is an anthology of stories all about people in the first response industry. K.L. Montgomery has to be one of my favourite authors right now so to see her name mentioned in this collection instantly meant I would be giving this ago. Her story is brilliant. The main characters had such a connection and chemistry between them. I was drawn to them straight away and desperately wanted them to get their happy ending. This is an anthology that I can see will just keep on giving as I am looking forward to keep dipping in and out with a different story each time.

While Christy Anderson is a new author for me, writing a book with one of my go-to authors Gwyn McNamee was a must! Holiday Terminal was an amazing captivating read of two people destined to find each other and have a second chance. This one gave you all the feels you need for an amazing all-rounder book! Its had angst, passion, drama, romance, heartbreak but all in all it was the perfect read from start till finish. I couldn’t put this read down, I read it on one sitting and fell in love with both Artemis & Penelope each in their own way but also the journey that they take, in the short amount of time.
You couldn’t help but absolutely feel so much emotion with what these two went through you just kept wishing they would overcome their past, a secret and actually talk and realise the thing that brought them together many years before was still the main thing that both of them still felt!
There is not a single thing I could say that I didn’t love about this book, other than I didn’t want it to ever end! I can’t wait to experience more from these two incredible authors I’ll be eagerly awaiting Holiday Bridal Wave.

This is a great little story. It comes along at a great time in our own country. In Vampire State by Alexander Charalambides we get a great story about change. Change is seldom easy, and I think this author does a good job of showing us different aspects of the difficulties of change. Our heroine, Rowena, slowly recognizes her part in the need for bringing about these changes, but she is up for the challenge. Vincenzo and Luka have very different approaches to change but in the end….it works. The real shining point of this story is the dialogue between Dominus and Rowena. It’s there that we see the solution for real change. This is a fast-paced little story and was over too soon. I found myself wanting more. If you are like me and you like the story within the story this is a book that you will really enjoy.

I decided to read this book based on the synopsis. I had no idea what to expect as I have never read a book by this author before. I enjoyed the more unique portrayal of vampires, and the world building is excellent. There is a bit of mystery as Rowena tries to learn more about the Sanguinians and their city, Sanguinia. There are some great twists and turns that keep the story moving so you can’t put it down.
Overall, I enjoyed this story. It’s a quick read that takes you on a great adventure of political intrigue as well as a bit of romance. ?

This is an Oh My God surprise! When I picked this book to read, I thought, this sounds interesting. It was so much more. Such a good book. In Testament of Feats: Book of Judgment, K. H. Jones leads us into a richly woven world. Each culture carefully woven, artfully described. You are in that world. There is so much detail in this story, food, geography, games, weapons, even the animals are thoroughly described. K. H. Jones has taken the slumbering parts of my brain and forced them to build a world that I can clearly see. This book even has romance. Our hero in the story, Scream, is a deep thinker but he doesn’t let it cripple him or lose sight of his objective. A balance of justice and compassion. There are so many things I loved about this book. I am completely and totally sold out to this series. If you like this genre, this is an absolute must read. Even if you don’t you will love this story.

Love & Omens is the second book in the Crescent City Ghost Tours series by Carrie Pulkinen. You will notice while reading my review, that the word “love” is used frequently- I apologize (sorry not sorry)! But I freaking LOVE this book/series!!! The first book, Love & Ghosts was completely captivating- so there was no way I was missing this instalment. I couldn’t wait for it to release, and as with the first one, I was absolutely thrilled to finally get my hands on it. This is a fantastic paranormal romance- with ghosts, second chances, visions, omens, supernatural elements, new beginnings, paranormal investigations, mystery, suspense, action, danger, drama, obsession, and plenty of sizzle….. which is all set against the vibrant, colourful and mystical backdrop that is New Orleans. I really didn’t think it was possible to love a book more than I loved the first instalment- so I had incredibly high expectations for this story. But, we are talking Carrie Pulkinen here, so it’s no real surprise that she absolutely nailed it!! I love this story just as much as the first, if not more. The characters are fully realised, interesting, and endearing individuals, who really brought this story to life. I particularly love that there are recurring characters from book one, who we get to ‘catch up with’ as well (and even one from another loved series). They were really interesting and very well developed. I love Sydney and Blake- OMG they were just soooo perfect together, even if they tried to resist their chemistry at the beginning. I was definitely rooting for them the whole way through! And I love how Ms. Pulkinen kept the tension levels turned up to ‘high’- ramping up the suspense and weaving in a few twists as well. It kept me glued to the pages- avidly reading along to discover how everything would play out. The ‘action’ and intensity were exhilarating- but it was the emotive quality and the camaraderie between the characters which really gave the story an added depth- and making it truly memorable. I have said this before, and I will say it again here: I have a severe addiction to Ms. Pulkinen’s work- and it’s one that I am more than happy to indulge- no rehab needed, EVER! She’s definitely one of my favourite authors, and I will never get enough of her work! I’m so looking forward to the next book!

Risking Everything: A Steamy Anthology Of First Responders is a collection of hot and steamy novels in which the main character(s) is a first responder. Among this collection is Reconstructed Heart by K.L. Montgomery. I have read other works by this author and have found that I love their writing style, characters and story lines. Due to this, I chose to read Reconstructed Heart first. This book is filled with so much emotion. I would add a ‘tissues needed’ warning with this book. There are some really heart wrenching, heart breaking scenes in this book that will have you loving and hating the author at the same time: Firstly, for writing such a powerful story and secondly for putting you through such emotions. Trey Prince and Jenna Labato are both awesome characters. Trey is called out to an RTA in his job with the Collision Reconstruction Unit only to face one of his wort nightmares – one of the victims is his friend, colleague and former mentor. Jenna Labato is the state trooper on the scene and forms a bond with Trey. This is a powerful story of how 2 people come together to help them through a traumatic time in their lives. It is so well written and will drag you deep into the story that you will not want to put it down. In fact, I binge read this in one sitting as I just could not put it down. I thoroughly recommend this beautiful, emotional story.

I give Risking Everything: A Steamy Anthology of First Responders, 4 stars.
This is a great anthology, but I would like to focus on Reconstructed Heart by K.L. Montgomery. The story is very unique, not something I imagined when I started it. It shocks you right away, and then throws the main characters for a loop. Trey is devastated by what he finds out when he responds to a call, and he doesn’t know how to fix it. He also has feelings for a fellow cop, but they feel so wrong given the circumstances. Not to mention he doesn’t feel worthy of her. The struggle for him is quite clear. But Jenna does not give up. She sees something in him. This is a very emotional story, have some tissues on hand just in case. I don’t know how the author wrote this without tears in her eyes. But at the same time, you feel attraction between these two, and a pull that’s more than just sex. For a shorter story, it really is complex.
But this is just one amazing story from this book. If you enjoy your romances on the hot side, and like to read about first responders, this book is definitely for you.

Loving Jake is the first book in the Almost Perfect series, and emotive debut novel by Lisa Lanay. This is a contemporary romance- with drama, angst, secrets, second chances, and more. Ms. Lanay employed a tried and tested ‘recipe’ for her debut, giving it her own ‘spin’- and delivers a polished and enjoyable read. Was the story a little predictable?-Yes. But the story was written in such a way that I couldn’t help but invest in the characters, and their story- and in the end the predictability didn’t really matter. I enjoyed the journey. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for the next book in the series! Well done!

This is an intense, action packed, suspenseful story that you won’t want to put down! These two authors together are quickly becoming favorites of mine. I easily connected with these characters and quickly became emotionally involved with all of them. I am looking forward to what comes next in this exceptional series!

Knight Watch was a great 5 star read and book one in the An Alliance Agency series. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. This is Kingsley and Sydney’s story.
Kingsley is now in America working with the Alliance Agency. When he gets his first kidnapping case, he has to find Sydney Rutherford.
Sydney suffers from PTSD from a rape by someone close to her. When she is kidnapped, things from her past start to resurface. When she meets Kinglsey there is something about him that makes her feel like she can trust him. The chemistry these two have is off the charts. Will he be able to keep her safe?
There is so much more to this great read, I don’t want to give away anything. There are twists and turns that will throw you off. All of the secondary characters were great. We get suspense, danger and so much more. My emotions were all over the place and I will warn there is a scene that may cause triggers for some. Love & Omens (Crescent City Ghost Tours Book 2) by Carrie Pulkinen was a romantic and fun read. Sydney and Blake once dated in the past and meet again when the Crescent City Ghost Tours decides to take on a partner. They want to add a haunted museum with artifacts from murders. An ominous vision distracts Syd from the conversation with her boss regarding adding Blake and she is shocked upon seeing him. Things happen and the two must work together to figure out how her vision is tied into someone’s death. Can they figure it out before death stakes it’s claim? The characters in this novel were amazing. Sydney was a strong heroine with a spunky attitude. She stood her ground in tough situations and went for what she desired. Blake was also an excellent main male character. He was hunky, down to earth, and fun. These two also had amazing gifts. I loved seeing them come together and work with the team. The storyline also had great flow and was easy to follow. I was hooked immediately from the beginning. This book is the second in this series but could easily be read as a standalone. Significant events that played a part for this book were mentioned in the storyline to keep readers from becoming confused. Having read the first novel and this one as well I do recommend reading them both. This book was amazing and such a fun read. I highly recommend it.

Knight Watch by Maddie Wade and India Kells is the first book in the new series An Alliance Agency Novel. The story does not disappoint. It is full of action, suspense, with some romance thrown in. I always am leary when two authors join up for a book because at times it can get disjointed and you can see where one picks up and the other ends. These two authors work well together and the story is seamless. I have enjoyed other books by both of them in the past and was excited to see them working together again. The characters are well written and have some depth to them which allows the story to develop. I enjoyed learning about Kingsley Knight and Sydney Rutherford. They made a good pair in various ways. I look forward to more in this series and from each of these authors individually.

Maddie Wade and India Kells has written a high action novel. The first couple of chapters will start the uphill roller coaster. Then hang on because the action will not stop until you read, THE END! I fell in love with Sydney and Kingsley. Sydney is a strong woman, that does not wait to be rescued. She does what needs to be done. You can bet I will be waiting for the next installment. Thanks for the adventure Ladies!!!
Pigs by Daniel James is a thriller and then some. It is a gripping tale and a game of cat and mouse, one where anything goes when a cold blooded killer wants vengeance. Where revenge is all you can see, one where your worst nightmare is lurking just around the corner. Pigs is a story of danger and violence, murder and mayhem. A story where maniacal men will stop at nothing to dole out some pretty gruesome justice. Daniel has woven a tale that is engrossing and engaging and one that you can’t put down. It is also a story where the characters go through the whole gamut of emotions. The love and hope, loss and guilt, grief and madness spans over 10 years that come together for one explosive outcome.
I won’t be revealing anything because it is a story that needs to be explored on it’s own. I am waiting to see what comes next from.

Knight Watch (An Alliance Agency Novel Book 1) by Maddie Wade & India Kells 5 stars
This is book 1 of this series, but i would recommend reading the prequel, Deadly Alliance, to get familiar with some of the characters in this book but it’s not required to follow this story. We follow Kingsley Knight or as he prefers, just Knight, and Sydney. We are taken for quite the ride through all the twists and turns in this amazing story. As with both of these authors, I knew I’d not be getting anything done until I hit the end and sorry kids but cereal for dinner counts as a meal. I felt for Sydney and the trauma she carried through life and all she went through in the years to come.
I cannot wait for more in this series as I know they’ll be amazing.
Addie: To Wager on Her Future (Other Pens, Mansfield Park Book 5) by Leenie Brown is a delightful period romance and a quick read. I have not read anything by this author before and I am not really a fan of period pieces unless they are done well. But this sweet story was well written and held my attention from start to finish. The characters are likable and fun to read.
Addie has been dealing with running the house and looking after the horses whilst her brother is away at school and her father is sick. She soon discovers that her brother has gotten himself in some trouble and when faced with the evil Mr Camden Robert a recent friend, steps up and suggests a solution and finds himself unwittingly drawn into the problem. Addie finds herself falling for the ever studious Robert and entangles him into an idea of her own.
I recommend this story for those who like a quick read with a HEA.

Chasing Clay (The DeWitt Agency Files Book 3) by Lance Charnes was an intriguing and mysterious read. I would rate this book a four out of five stars. I loved how deep in the details the author went to bring the characters and the story alive. I enjoyed getting Matt’s point of view and seeing how his mind works. The pace felt slow, but understanding the limited frame really did add pressure for things to happen. I was glad that I kept reading because by the end I was hooked.
