This is book one in Hidden Valley Elite, now I will say that there is a prequel, Savage Start and although I highly recommend that you read it you will be fine if you don’t. It is a well written, high school enemies to lover’s romance. Charaters are well written and will keep you wanting more. Lots of drama, bullying, lies, jealousy, secrets, love and hate. Definitely a good read.

Delayed Redemption is the 3rd book in the DAG Team series, but the first one I read. While it mostly can be enjoyed as a stand alone, I was a little disappointed that “DAG” was not identified til almost 3/4 of the way through the book. I tried googling it so many ways, and still couldn’t figure out what it was. I clearly didn’t read the last line of the summary- “this is a steamy romance for readers 18+” That is a very true statement. I liked the plot of the book, but thought the romance was a little over done for my liking, and more than I expected based on the cover and the summary. The book has a good story line and good amount of suspense and danger. The friendships Mateo has with his DAG team is solid and a good family for him. I liked that Janey had moments of bravery and strength, not always being a timid girl of her youth. I want to go back and read book one of the series, since I really liked Kit.

Having read the previous 2 books I was rather keen to get stuck into this one because you read of the different family members and you get furious don’t you , so when the opportunity comes knocking to discover more you grab it 😉

So Teresa is getting married and David her brother , who’s been working in Africa , joins them in Port Townsend . Something is off though , he doesn’t seem himself and there’s a fiancé in tow ….
Family friend , Maddie catches his eye and you can feel the tension between them and David is having a tough time fighting his desires and walking on eggshells to keep Sylvie happy….
Maddie being an actress has an opportunity with the local theatre and she feels she can’t pine after David forever and she catches the eye of Kilo….
There’s so much to love about this book but what really gets me and what I appreciate is the “ humanness “ of the characters , they’re real , their issues are real and they work through them 🥰

My kids and I have been picking up more books from this author, and this one may be our favorite yet! We absolutely love the rhythm of the rhyming stories and the gorgeous illustrations. Cray and his friends really show the meaning of friendship as they help each other. The messages in this book are truly lovely and sparked some great conversations with my 8 and 12-year-old kids. This would be a great book to have in a classroom or library as well as at home where you can share with the younger ones in your life. What a great story to teach responsibility for our environment and how significant our friendships are. I highly recommend picking this book up to enjoy a great rhythmic journey!

What an absolutely heart-wrenching emotional rollercoaster. I sat down to start this book and couldn’t put it down until I was finished! I hadn’t read anything from these authors before, but I will absolutely look out for more from them after this. I always love a book that contains dual points of view as it allows you to get different feelings from each perspective. With this book in particular I think the duality helped me get into Marcus’ and Mei Li’s mind and experience their emotions. These characters are incredibly well-developed, and I loved every moment of getting to know them. Picking up this book is an easy decision as it is one of the best YA Romances I have read in a very long time. I will be (impatiently) waiting for the next book because I need more!

I accidentally picked this book up without realizing it was part of a series, but I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless! I didn’t feel lost when reading so you could pick it up as a standalone, but you’ll end up doing the same as me and run to get the remaining books in the series. The author had me absolutely hooked from the very first chapter which is pretty difficult to do as it typically takes a bit longer for me to find my groove. Janey thinks she has finally escaped her past when she gets kidnapped. Mateo is trying to correct his past, in a way, when he suddenly finds Janey. Will he be able to help save her, or will it ruin everything that he’s been working for? The chemistry between these two is palpable, and we go on an emotional rollercoaster throughout the entire book. There were completely unexpected twists in this book which created even more suspense. I highly recommend picking this up while I grab the rest of the series!

Delayed Redemption is Book 3 in the DAG Team Series …while this book could be read as a standalone I still highly recommend reading this series from the beginning. I loved the story-line with romance suspense, danger, suspense and drama…this book was fantastic from beginning to end.
Mateo is leading a bit in two different lives, one of gang life and crime the other going undercover to DAG team…but when his dark world comes to a halt when someone from his past is taken and brought into his world…Janey. Fade Into the Night is the 5th book in the Philly Night series and could be read as a standalone, however I do recommend reading previous books in the series. Meet the characters Noah and Sadie. Noah is an FBI Special Agent who has come to Philadelphia in pursuit of the Beltway Romeo, Sadie a Forensic Facial Reconstructionist. The two re-meet in the most unlikely place after a brief “fling” a few years prior. The heat between the two is hard to miss and makes you wonder why they ended it to begin with. The author includes everything you could possibly want in a story. Danger is around every corner, a heated romance, a crime that needs to be solved and the suspense behind every page.

I absolutely LOVE this series. Each book shows the readers that not everything is what it seems. This book by Lois Wickstrom proves that treasure is not always gold, treasure can be anything and everything you find valuable to you, such as your grandma. With both of my younger sisters currently pregnant with their first babies I plan to get both of their bundles this entire series for future use.
This has got to be my favorite book in the series so far, always such beautiful illustrations. Paired with such important lessons for growing minds to learn early. Courage and bravery have many different meanings, and, in this book, they are linked with asking for help and getting to know someone before judging them. Magic Wanda (Grandma’s Closet Book 3) is such a cute book!! Cute story and fun art!! I think that most younger children (under 10) would love this magical story and follow along easily. This book is about a young girl named Carrie. She finds a box in the closet and when she asks her grandma about it, she learns that it has magic Wandas inside it. Not wands, but Wandas. Different right? Well there is a reason for that!! You have to read the book to find out, but let me just tell you that Carrie has quite an adventure with these Wandas! She even almost gets into trouble with her mom!
Sasha Smart is a wonderful book of short stories. Not only does this set of stories teach young children (I’d say elementary and even middle school aged kids!) how to deal with different types of social encounters they could (and most likely will!) face, it also encourages bravery, confidence, communication, and the power of kindness. Everyday, I’m that parent in the drop off line that lets my children out to “Love you, good luck on your tests, listen to your teachers, learn a lot, and BE KIND.” Raising well rounded kids is hard and this book is great for helping with just that!! Our children need more books like this! I have a 9 year old and a 12 year old, I’m having them both read this book. Throughout this book you follow Sasha as she navigates through school. Each short story is about an issue she has and how she handles each problem. The first she worried about not being cool. The next she learns about making mistakes and correcting them. Then she learns about differences we have that make us all beautiful. She learns a lot from her friends, but she also has to deal with peer pressure and bullying as well. And lastly she learns about the importance relaxing, taking the time to unwind, supporting each other, and kindness. Another super cute and fun thing about this book is the content in the back!! An activity and even a challenge await your children! And the best thing about it?? They are having fun while learning!! I can’t wait to read more from this author and have my girls read them as well!!
Everyone was excited to start a new book by this author, and what a fun book this one was to read. The whole story is designed to spark the imagination and I could see it happening with my daughter as we read the book. The images in the book were creative and helped to keep my kids engaged from start to finish. As a parent, I always enjoy books by this author as, not only are they fun, but they are based on a great premise. This is probably one of our favourite series from this author and we are all looking forward to what comes next.
This book is a fun and flirty vacation story, that definitely turns into so much more. From the moment you start reading this book, the author effortlessly pulls you in with great writing and entertaining characters. They have obvious chemistry right from the word go and it was brilliant to watch this develop as the book went on. This is one of those books that is so easy to read because it has been so well written. The story is engaging, fun, lighthearted but has characters who make it so interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, which is a great start to a new series.
I absolutely LOVE this author!! I was so very happy to see there is a new series and what a fantastic start to the series this is. The lead characters Gabriel and Harper are fantastic, with a very deep connection even after years apart and the storyline will have you emotionally charged one minute and filled with joy the next. I can’t wait to read more about the rest of the Titans.

The characters are all well written and the illustrations are very creative and fit perfectly with the stories. Each short story teaches very good lessons to young girls. They teach self confidence, kindness, acceptance just to name a few. I think this book is great for girls about 8 years old.
Just WOW! It has been quite a while since I have read a book that has had me so totally consumed in the storyline, I truly could not put this down and when I was forced too my mind was continually going back to the book. I just had to know what was going on. It truly will keep you hooked from start to finish. This author is fairly new to me and I will definitely be reading more! The writing and storyline is detailed and gritty while the characters are a fantastic mix of those you will love and those you will hate!

This is the 3rd book in the DAG Team Series. The books can be read as standalones however I feel you will get a better understanding and more enjoyment if you read them from the beginning. This story is a action packed Special Ops romance. It is full of danger, intrigue, suspense, and a second chance meeting which could change the lives of our too main characters forever. This is definitely a story that I couldnt out down and I was gripped from the start as the action hits you from the first page. With drug gangs and a kidnapping right at the start you have not choice but to buckle up for the ride ahead. I have to admit I do love Mateo’s character, he is trying so hard to leave the drug gang behind and is almost free by putting the main man behind bars until Janey comes back into his life. Now he is torn, does he keep up the charade and stick to the plan to gain his freedom from the drug gang or does he risk it all to save Janey? Can he do both?
Janey has escaped her past or so she thought until her brother turns up. As a member of a drug gang she knows nothing good can come of him turning up and she right when she finds herself kidnapped as the drug gang try to get to her brother. Imagine her surprise when her teenage crush Mateo turns up and is part of the gang who have her captive. What is he doing there? Could he really be part of such a ruthless gang? And can she even trust what he is telling her?
This is a story of second chance romance with lots of hurdles for Mateo and Janey to overcome. Secrets will be revealed and stories come to light as they both fight for their freedom and each other. I loved this story and look forward to what comes next.

An enjoyable and engaging YA romance which kept me hooked throughout. This heartwarming and at times heartbreaking story took me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it. Marcus and Mei Li have been drawn to each other ever since they met at a trolley stop in Chinatown. However, that is all they have in common as Marcus is a boy with an enviable future, whilst Mei Li is a secretive girl with a dark destiny. They are prevented from ever being together by family and dark forces, but this does not stop them from communicating in secret. They then meet up secretly and as their feelings grow, they share their first kisses, and start to talk of love. Then one night a combination of dark connections and opposing futures tears them apart. Marcus is left longing for Mei Li and keeps asking himself if he will ever find her again. Such an emotional romance about love against impossible odds. I loved both Marcus and Mei Li as they are likeable and relatable characters. Their chemistry really came across in the narrative, and I loved how their relationship developed throughout the book. This is a wonderfully written story, and the author really sets the scene and brought the setting and characters to life through the descriptive narrative.

Lela is a nurturer and sometimes it felt like she was putting herself second to get father and her niece , look don’t get me wrong she has a heart of gold and is loyal and dedicated to those she loves and I can’t fault her for that but to fill the needs of others you need to fill your own right !?
Anyhoo , Lela has been planning to live her life as soon as Sophie turns 18 but then she ups and runs off with her boyfriend and that leaves a massive spanner in the works Lela because now she’ll have to put her plans on hold so she can hunt Sophie and lover boy down in Malta !
Ok so maybe it’s not all bad because in her search for Sophie Lela had to work with Hamish who in torn works for her dad so I get her reservations but there’s an u deniable pull between them I mean you have to be blind not to pick up on it !
The past often affects the present and future especially where emotions are involved and both Hamish and Lela have baggage but they work through it and their story is a beautiful one to watch unfold ….
I think another reason I loved this book is because of Malta , my mom ( who has passed ) loved Malta so to a degree or felt like she was with me 🥰

I found this romantic suspense story to be a real page turner. Mateo is determined to escape his former life of crime and has one last undercover assignment for DAG and then he’s free. The assignment will also result in putting a major drug dealer out of business. When things don’t go to plan Mateo has to choose between his op and the only person who has ever believed in him. Having escaped an abusive home Janey is now living a much safer and better life. She is then kidnapped by a gang who want to get at her brother, and suddenly she’s thrust back into her old dangerous world. Janey is devastated when she comes face to face with Mateo, believing that he is still a member of the gang. She wants to trust him, after all he was her teenage crush. Meanwhile, there is a mole who is endangering ops and personnel at DAG, and the team are working hard to discover who it is before anyone else gets hurt. Janey and Mateo work together to find the last piece of the puzzle that Mateo needs to be free. They also can’t help but give into their feelings as secrets on both sides are shared. This was a fast-paced story with great characters and plenty of drama and suspense which kept me hooked throughout. I loved the character’s, especially Mateo and Janey and their chemistry sizzled off the page and led to some steamy scenes. An enjoyable and engaging read.

Excellent story. I loved the artwork, and the lesson learned here about being courageous enough to ask for help when it is needed. You will always have friends willing to lend a hand in your troubling situations. It was also sweet to see Cray and Hay making new friends along the way to meet with Hay’s mom for her birthday.

What a fun story. I really enjoy Carrie’s adventures with her grandmother’s things. This time she discovers magic Wandas, her mom sees a doll, but Carrie sees a living and talking being. It is really cool that Lily makes her wishes reality while waiting for her family’s party. I absolutely love the art, Carrie in her pink party dress is the cutest.
Absolutely loved this book. The next object Carrie finds in her Grandmother’s things are sticks that help her find treasure. Her dad is wanting to find a well of water but Carrie is looking for real treasure. The ending made me smile when, Carrie finds her treasure, her grandmother. Such a sweet moment between them.
What a great romantic suspense read, that spins a whole new light on the reputation of MCs and that they are not all bad. I loved that the author took a different spin on the reputation of the MCs instead of portraying them as troublemakers. Instead, she took the angle of them reforming their group to have an honest role in the community, and any members who didn’t want to live within the law could leave the group and seek a new group that had no respect for what was right and wrong. This book does introduce a lot of adult content, including situations that may be triggers for some audiences. I enjoyed that there were situations that were addressed that were hard to take, but that are things that need to be made aware of for anyone who wanders the club scenes, both young and old. The storyline of the book was easy to follow along with, and the characters were great, I loved the explanations given in detail about what each type of relationship entailed, especially since this was a new type of book for me. It was eye-opening to a new dynamic of relationships that some people enjoy in this modern age. I look forward to seeing what the next book is, and whose story it covers, hopefully sticking with the same characters from the Devils’ Spawn MC group. @Brandy Rymer 02/2024

Another wonderful story from The Adventures of Cray. My grandkids love these books, and so do I each has a great message for kids. Cray the crab and Hay the fox set off on an adventure to Hay’s moms birthday party. Along the way they run into a few obstacles in which teach, friendship, teamwork, being kind and helpful and to be Brave. So well written and great for kids and adults.
