This was an incredible book, I really enjoyed and love the fact that it is series, which I can not wait to get into the rest. This book went and back and forth between past and present which gave it a nice back story on the events and what was happening before. the history that weaved into the story really brings a different perspective to this story. Matt and Adam are far from your ordinary boys, they are relic hunters, and this story takes us to Rome, but they aren’t the only ones on the hunt. The adventure these boys go thou shows to them a lot of growth and that they can accomplish anything. This book was filled with action, supernatural, history, suspense and so much more. Highly recommend this book.

This one kept me turning pages. Simply a wonderful addition to the series. You would think the by book 9 things would be getting stale but..Nope! This is just as engaging at the beginning of the series. I loved how much this incorporated the characters from past books because it is always nice to see them.

This is book 2 of the series, and so far, I have no complaints. This book was an amazing read, and I couldn’t read it fast enough it was incredible. This book is supernatural and history all in one. I would highly recommend this is you like suspense, action, supernatural and then a little of history all rolled into one. With the discovery of a pyramid in Egypt, with all the traps inside the pyramid it’s nearly impossible to get into tit. But this doesn’t stop the relic hunters and they set out to discover the secret a why it was just discovered now, and why all the traps what this pyramid could be hiding. This book follows two timelines but is incredible with the back-and-forth feedback and insight, I really like this part of the books.

Betrayal of the Gods is book 5 in the incredibly addictive Relic Hunter series by Martin Ferguson. I have read every single book from this series so far, and Martin outdoes himself every single time!! This book can be read as a stand-alone but I heavily recommend starting from the beginning because you’re gonna love it! As with every book in this series it’s full with twists and turns, incredible storytelling, and lovable characters with adventure around every corner. I love this series and jumped at the chance to read the newest addition, and continue to recommend it highly!

This one just like the others was amazing. This book takes place in a British museum and the Adam, and the relic hunters once again have a mission to find out about a boat from WWII. And the secrets that it might hold. This book does like the others and goes from past to present but is super easy to follow, and the back story to everything always gives more insight to what has happened. These series book has a great twist and intertwine everything from present to history into one and is very enjoyable. This book is supernatural and history all in one. I would highly recommend these series.

From the moment you start reading, this book has such a wholesome and lovely feel about it. It was a little harder to connect with given how strong the religious focus was, but I think that is more to do with my lack of belief. For anyone who practices this religion, it is a beautifully written story. Religion aside, I still found myself enjoying this story and the journey we get to witness. It is definitely an uplifting book and for that alone I csn easily say I thought it was great.

The roller coaster ride in this book was amazing and kept me hooked till the end, I couldn’t put it down. And the twist that the killer ended up chasing them instead was a real heart stopping moment. I would highly recommend these series.

This is the third book of the ‘Relic Hunters’ series and continues shortly after book 2. All of the books have separate themes but the character plot and growth are connected so this is not to be read as a stand alone.
The British Museum is asked to come investigate a U Boat from WWII found that was never commissioned. There was no paperwork for it. Once the group enters the boat, they find a symbol they do not recognize and a few they do. A crazed woman shows up and pillages the boat, then she blows it up. Adam and the crew only have a couple pictures to go on to find out what this boat was used for. Not only that but who is this woman and what did they find?
Things are not making sense and it is up to the crew to find out why? They find a remaining survivor from that time but the veteran just makes things more confusing. Throw in a bout of undead to make things worse for the crew. This is the first time the brothers are actually working together in the field after Matt’s injury and it’s a doozy.
The author always writes point of views in both the present and the past. The past portion of the book this time around is about a Private Cooper who was too young to be in this war but lied about his age to join. He is connected to the background of the U Boat. He goes through hell and back and wants nothing more than to make it home to his love, Maggie.
I personally am not a fan of modern history but I really enjoy this author’s writing. They are very knowledgeable of a broad area of history and the author writes the present day filled with action from the first page to the last. So far my favourite character is Emma. She is sassy but has a soft side. From the first time Adam met her, he has had a thing for her. As time goes on, she seems to be warming up to him. I am rooting for them to get together.

A Miracle In Muffin is a Christian children’s book by Darlene Duemo. Being a true story gives it a different feel. It is a very religious tale and is aimed for those aged between 6 – 18 years old. It is the story of one woman’s journey to faith after her cat Muffin disappeared and ended up in trouble. It is a story with a very strong and clear message of God, belief, devotion, the importance of prayer and miracles that came about in a time of need. If you are a religious person/family, then this book is for you.

This is one of my favorite authors. She has a way of writing that draws you in and keeps you there until the very end. I find that I enjoy this series because it feels like a down home country cozy but its not. I loved how out couple (unintentional) work together to find Sallie Mae. The description of Snake Mountain from the guy at the gas station would have given me nightmares along with her dreams. Such vivid details in the story that are brought to life by the narrator in the story. Audio brings so much to life that you do kind of miss just reading in the book. The narrator did a nice job. I loved the story and characters. It’s a fantastic series that I definitely recommend.

4 stars Young adult authors Emily Cox and Nicole Allen bring us a sweet tale. It is my first time reading anything they have written, and I was pleasantly surprised. This is a clean YA romance that has a lot of raw emotions involved because it has some pretty dark heavy hitting content, but the authors do this well. It is heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time. A nail biting, rollercoaster of emotions kind of story. The story is told in my favourite way of writing characters, dual POV which gives the story much more depth and insight and the characters are much more believable. There are characters you will absolutely love and then there are characters you will absolutely hate. You always remember your first love and The Other Side of Together is a raw and beautiful yet heartbreaking story of young teenage love. I will not give away any spoilers but suffice it to say the tension is palpable, have tissues on hand, a stiff drink or three and expect a laugh or two at times. There are a few twists and there is a cliffhanger so now I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

Relic Hunters is book 5 of this short series and this book differently could be read as a standalone. This series is most definitely aimed for the young adult youth crowd, but it was very enjoyable to read still. The story jumps each chapter from present to past, but it was easy enough to follow along. Two brothers Adm and Hunter are challenged to a race of their lives and have to figure out how to survive through the Greek legends. But as the race continues, they are declared as outlaws and are being chased down but not just anyone but also ones they thought were allies. I love the aspect of adding in Greek mythology throughout the book which is always stuff I love about reading and what strikes my interest. This book was very exciting to read, and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen to the brothers and if they were able to get out or finish with this adventurous race.

This is a heartwarming story about a cat that goes missing and his owner’s quest to find it. The illustrations are very beautifully done and follow the story well. I do believe the author’s heart is right in sharing this story, however, I cannot fully recommend it because I do not believe that the Bible teaches this path to redemption. I have never found any passage in the Bible that says if you say this specific prayer you will be saved. What I have read is the accounts of the Ethiopian Eunuch, Cornelius’s family, and others where the Word was heard, the Word was believed, repentance happened, a confession was made, and baptism for the remission of sins took place.

I adored Jackson and Ros throughout this book (even though there were times I wanted to throttle them both). I loved the simplicity (ehh…once you get through the whole thing you can reflect) of their multifaceted relationship and the slow burn of it all is most definitely worth while. This is the 4th installment of the Kings of the Screen series and can be read as a standalone. Other characters and their significant others do make appearances throughout the book (which I always thoroughly enjoy seeing what my other loves are up to) and there is some teasing as to who will be the focus in the next book. One thing that I really appreciate about Bevan’s writing is how relatable her characters are. I mean…I’m not an up-and-coming fashion designer in a fake relationship with a hunky Scottish heartthrob BY ANY MEANS but I totally related to Ros and her view (albeit skewed) of relationships and men. And the way Bevan did it just wasn’t superficial and fakey…it really hits home and is raw and emotional and you as the reader can totally put yourself in Ros’s shoes. I really enjoy reading Valkyrie’s stories and this one was no different. This is a very quick read…I’m talking like 15-20 minutes and I really like the premise of the storyline. I’m definitely hooked and can’t wait to see what Valkyrie has in store for her readers with Xenobia’s story and the House Valdis series. Valkyrie’s ability to get her readers to care so deeply about her characters so quickly is amazing and I loved how she moved the plot line along without really any holes or gapping discrepancies. I’m really excited to start reading the House Valdis series. This short story is a prequel to the House Valdis series.
This book is an absolute gem! Mei Li and Marcus are like the dream team of characters, especially Marcus – total heartthrob material. The story takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, from heartbreak to those sweet teenage love vibes. The characters and plot mesh together so seamlessly, and there are some serious curveballs thrown in – I did not see them coming at all! The ending will leave you feeling wrecked, but in a good way.
I want to add that this isn’t a typical love story. It dives into some heavy stuff, – real life stuff. And there is no cursing or steamy scenes, which keeps it light.

A nice personal testimony of this author being saved and her belief in the Lord. I was worried about the cat, Muffin, the whole book more than anything, I love animals and because Muffin escaped during the cold, my heart was breaking. The way that Muffin was found, brought out the testimony of the owner to her co-workers, which then in turn had them looking into the miracle that is God. The artwork in the book is beautiful and I really liked the background of each page being snowflakes, it gave my eyes more to look at.

The artwork in this book is beautiful. I love that this is a collection of short stories about the different things Sasha faces in school. She labels herself as a “geek” but comes to realize others like the same things she does. I really liked the lesson she learns in bouncing back from a failure and, the many beautiful differences between different cultures. Every scenario is something any young girl could face while in school, the pressures to fit in, not to stand out because they are smart, bullying those who are different and, the pressure to study and study without taking time to be a kid. The vocabulary wall project at the end of the book is an excellent idea for kids to learn and retain new words they are learning. Great read!
This was an interesting read. It’s a short story. I found it to be a good look into the beginning of Xenobia and Urd’s friendship. This is my first venture into this series and I’m looking forward to starting it. Xen sppears to be strong in this society where women aren’t valued. I found myself totally rooting for them. It’s definitely a book I recommend.
This is the 3rd book in the Love On Tap Series. I love loved these small town romances. The author does an amazing job of writing stories which have something for everyone, from drama, heated chemistry and characters that are not afraid to speak their minds. The characters interactions in these stories is what really brings them to life and captivates me in their story. This is the 3rd book in the series and it can be read as a standalone however personally it added to the enjoyment reading them from the beginning. This story is Maisy and Miller’s story. Miller has had a tricky time since his dad died and relationships with women are definitely not on his agenda. All he wants is one night stands nothing more but that all changes when a woman in a wedding dress appears jumps into his car and tell him to drive.
Maisy has tried to please everyone all her life. She has done things for everyone else that is until she decides to jilt her lover at the alter(so to speak). Now all she has planned is saving her brother from her no good mother and try to get her life in order. The last thing either Maisy or Miller expected that day was to meet someone they had chemistry with. Miller can see Maisy is in trouble but why is he so determined to help and protect her? This is a heartwarming story with laugh out loud moments. How is Miller going to cope with not only a runaway bride but also her demanding brother? With both of them dealing with family issues can they work through all their stuff and realise what is between them? This is a small town romance and one of the things I loved is that even though Miller is considered the joke of the family when he needs them they all support him 100% really bringing to light the true meaning of family standing by each other.

If you have read the first two books that will help enhance the story even more. It’s thrilling, full of drama, and romance. An enjoyable read that I recommend.

This was a really beautiful story of being brought to God in times of trouble. Muffin was the author’s cat. Muffin went missing. This brought about a whole set of actions that led to a miracle. There are beautiful prayers and poems in the book. It’s a very neat story that can be shared with all to help in times of trouble or anguish or to even help bring people to God. It was a definite light in my reading.

This book is amazing. It has all the brooding, alpha makes that we have all come to love from this series and their fabulous ways that they protect those they love from any danger. This is the continuation of the duets in the Billionaire Bodyguard series and they just keep getting better and better. I love how the author brings that characters from previous books into this, so we can kinda see what they are up to and how they are doing. They don’t play a huge roll but even a line here and there makes me feel connected to those characters that I fell in love with earlier on. These books do not let you down when it comes to steam. The characters are what you would expect a broody, over protective, alpha bodyguard to be. I love how the author always makes her women in the stories have a little sass but they know when they need help. They aren’t all, “I can do this on my own, I don’t need you” or just real ditzy. I love that they have depth and are trying to make something of themselves before they find themselves in hot water, so to say. These books contain the romance aspect, the steam that everyone loves in a romance book, then it also has an amazing storyline. It is like the trifecta of books. You won’t be able to put it down and you will feel yourself projecting the emotions of the characters while reading this. Beware, you could snap at someone next to you because you are so emotionally invested in the books. It is a page turner that I couldn’t stop reading until it was done. Since this is the third duet in the series, I highly recommend reading them in order so you have the background of some of the characters but you would be able to start with this one and go back to the others if you wanted to. As always, the author has a way to pull you in from the beginning. It’s so easy to get lost in the story. The characters are interwoven in such a way that they all are in each other’s stories throughout the series. The backstories of each character in this novel, Riley and Cole, are really good yet sad at the same time. The characters are very relatable and seem to fit together before they realize what’s happening. I recommend that whenever you plan to read this novel, please read it in one sitting, that’s how great it is.

Nessie and the Viking Gold is the second book in the Nessie’s Grotto Series. This is a chapter book aimed for children ages 7-12 but I think children of any age will enjoy reading this book. My five year old son loved it so much we’ve read it three times already and I’m there will be many more. Follow along with Craig and Linda and Loch Ness Monster as they take us on another fun and exciting adventure. The illustrations help to bring the story to life and my son loved them. I highly recommend reading this cute children’s book and we look forward to reading more from this Author.

This book is for mature audiences only. It had a great plot and storyline, the dogs in the book were just so adorable, and the characters were easy to fall in love with. Weston comes in as the owner of the house looking for at least one roommate, someone who must love dogs. Two people showed up for the room just about at the same time, and both loved dogs. We get to meet Petra and Callum right from the start of the book, each with their own story of what’s going on in their lives. As for Petra, I was intrigued by the mystery that was unfolding with her ex-fiancé and his friend and was scared that she would have a horrible accident, thank goodness the guy got what he deserved. Callum has such a fun, big family, who I fell in love with immediately, and who were so supportive of his hopes and dreams of being the best chef ever. Weston was someone who listens to people’s problems for a living, what a great combination adding in two new roommates, and Petra’s dog Gus would be. This story took some crazy twists and turns that I was not expecting but does have such a great ending. @Brandy Rymer 01/2024
