This is not my first time reading a book by Naomi Valkyrie, it’s always a pleasure picking up one of her books. This book is a M/M alien mafia romance tale following Kasper and Leilphun. Filled with danger, action, adventure and tension both regular and spicy lol . Also makes an appearance in the anthology Aliens on Earth which is a limited-edition 12 book romance collection ( which you should also pick up so many goood books including this one 🥰). She has created a great world and such well developed characters. I look forward to seeing more work from this author. 🥰

70 years after the first book Julia had taken Samuel’s deal. Now she has powers and strength that she is learning to wield. We follow along with characters from the first book along with Julia and Samuel. The ka-tet is still learning to work together. Valentino has now learned about the threat to his throne, and the inevitable clash is looming closer and closer. The cliffhanger at the end should be absolutely illegal, and I can’t wait to read more into the third book!

I absolutely loved reading this first book. It was a little hard reading about Julia and the abuse she endured from her parents. Being forced into an arranged marriage and not being able to be with her true love was heartbreaking. When she is presented with an interesting choice have her freedom to do whatever she wants, BUT she has to join the vampire resistance, OR stay where she is at now. Watching her process her thoughts and emotions over this choice was interesting. I can’t wait to see what goes onto the next book and see how Julia’s choice pans out for her!

The Cold Kid Case is Book One in the Sparky of Bunker Hill Series. It is a historical cozy mystery with drama, suspense, intrigue, murder, mayhem, and paranormal elements. The storyline is set in the 1930’s and centers around an eleven-year-old street-smart girl who stumbles onto the body of a deceased young girl. Afterwards she is accused of being responsible for the girl’s death and finds herself on the lam as suspect number one. Sparky soon discovers who her true friends are as even those closest to her seem to want to turn their backs on her and turn her into the police. This was an entertaining read with a great storyline and vivid scene descriptions. The author takes the reader into the 1930’s through her attention to historical details, language, and norms of that era. Sparky was an instantly lovable character with her precocious attitude, wit, sense of humor, and street smarts. I look forward to reading book number two in this series!

This was a fun and fast-paced read for both of my kiddos and myself. I hadn’t read anything by this author before, so it was a great surprise to enjoy this so much. Sparky is an eleven-year-old who happens to find a body and she’s made a suspect in the case. I liked that this was set in the 1930s, and the author did a great job painting the picture. Even though this is aimed for a younger target, I enjoyed reading it myself alongside my two kids. It was engaging and entertaining with some twists that I didn’t see coming!

This is the 3rd book in the The Olympic Peninsula series. These romances are really good reads. Each book does follow a different couples story however the characters do cross over as they are related in some way to other characters in books that come before.
This is David and Maddie’s story.
David has returned from Africa for his sisters wedding. But something doesn’t seem quite right with him. Gone is the happy carefree man that left for Africa. What has caused his change? Could it the things he has seen as a doctor in Africa or is there something or someone closer to home causing the change?
The connection between Maddie and David is immediate but with David’s partner around Maddie decides to move on by meeting Kilo. Now she finds herself in a kind of triangle as she is torn between David and Kilo. She can’t stop thinking about David and how well matched they are even though he is taken, but she also knows there isn’t any hope as he is spoken for. Which man will she choose? The man who knows her completely or the man who has fallen for the image she portrays.
These stories are beautifully written with so many twist and turns that I couldn’t put it down. The characters are so well developed that if feels like they could be members of my own family. These stories show that relationships aren’t all sunshine and roses but hard work and learning how to overcome obstacles together. I love these stories

It moved at a good pace. The locations were well detailed. I could picture everything very clearly. Hopefully in the next book she gets some revenge. I struggled to get through the noncon scenes. I expected to grow to understand or care for Kingston but it never happened.

Its a great book for kids to learn about dog care. My son wants to hide treats for our cat and read stories to her now. He loved seeing all the different types of dogs. The dog safety tips at the end were a nice addition. The illustrations were beautiful and colorful. The kids in the book spoke more like adults but the story is great and we loved it.

The Magic Man (The Olympic Peninsula Book 3) by Cat Treadgold. This is the story of David who has gone home to Port Townsend to attend the wedding of his sister. During the wedding events David meets Maddie who is a actress in town for the wedding. As David and Maddie spend time together they are really enjoying each other’s company. Their chemistry is immediate and David knows he can’t act on it because of his fiancee. This is the second book in the series, I would recommend reading the series in order to get the full experience. The author is good at the world and character building to immerse you into this world. It is aimed at YA readers but can be read by ‘older’ readers who enjoy the genre.
I haven’t found a book by Lois Wickstrom that I haven’t enjoyed reading! Her books are extremely informative and beautifully illustrated! Nessie and the Living Stone is no different than any of her other children’s books, it is informative, entertaining and full of beautiful illustrations. In this book we dive into a chapter book for children that has adventure and mystery. I no longer have little ones, but I do enjoy reading these books to my younger nieces and nephews. There are monsters, magic stones, and valuable lessons, “Nessie and the Living Stone” and all of this offers an enjoyable read for kids of any age. So, pick up a copy for your young ones and take a trip on an unexpected journey to see if Loch Ness remains a mysterious creature or if Nessie and all of the magic that comes with Nessie is found!

Naomi Valkyries new book The Alien & The Crime Boss is about an alien mafia romance tale. I have read quite a few of Naomi’s books and there has not been one that I have not found entertaining! I like the way she makes the characters have huge personalities and I enjoy reading about their different backgrounds. In this book, we are introduced to Leilphun and we find out that he is alone and, on the run, and that it may be safer for him to stay on a brand-new world that to try to stay on his. Although Earth doesn’t exactly roll out the red carpet for him, he finds that this is an intriguing planet and is not at all what he had in mind. Leilphun finds himself in a battle of trying to see if he stays in fight or flight mode or does he find happiness on this newfound planet he has landed on. The only way to find out what happens is to pick up a copy of Naomi’s newest book and read it for yourself…I don’t think you will be one bit disappointed!

This is the 8th book in the series but can be read as a standalone. This is a sweet marriage of convenience story full of drama, angst, and historical atmosphere. We follow Dorothy as she rediscovers herself after being unexpectedly widowed. This is not a romance I would normally read but I really enjoyed my time reading this historical romance.

Logan and her cases are like aging red wine , it just gets better with time 😉 also each book deals with subject/s that many won’t touch as they’re seen as taboo and they’re dealt with in a honest yet empathetic manner which makes reader see things from a different view , we “ see” what people are going through and their very real struggles .
Logan and Ben have just bought their first home together and there’s a lot of TLC needed ( that can make or break a relationship 🤣🙈)Logan is also going to meet her sister for the first time but before they can even really start their sibling journey , a young woman is found dead in the pool of their family hotel and they set out to investigate what happened to her …..
Well o tell you what I walked away from resting this with a very strong reminder that secret’s never stay that way , they have a way of coming out wether in your life time or generations later and fond of the forefather are passed down that’s for sure ! Logan ,girl you’re a magnet for trouble , it always seems to find you and you always seem to walk away reasonably unscathed 🤷♀️😉 till next time Logan 😉

She is drawn to see it, but she is also feeling strange when she does, but she still cannot stop watching, at least until she is by force.

Unfortunately, things just become more distracting as one of the mysterious Warner Guardians starts to investigate and soon people start to go missing, students from the college and more fires pop up.
Joey knows that the only thing she can do to try and figure out how everything is connected is to bite the bullet and go visit the friends and ask for their help, but will she be able to face the guilt associated with them and be albe to solve the mysterious fires and missing students, all while trying to pass her finals? This is a fantasy which is full of fiery content, stubborn teens and one nasty Dream Conductor, as a tangled web is unravelled to reveal the truths hidden beneath the facade of normality of Portstown and its inhabitants.

There is a big show coming up at the old theater in town, but that is being jeopardized by all the mischief caused by a few ghosts. Will Lauren and her friends be able to get these ghosts to leave? I liked the book. I’m glad the mystery behind Sophie’s disappearance wasn’t something terrible. The chemistry between Lela and Hamish was spot on. I also could relate to Lela. Feeling like you got to be the peace maker in the family all the time and putting your life on hold to do so. It’s a good read.

Reading Jade (Hidden Scars) by A. Akinosho (who im reading for the first time) I enjoyed it. The age gap ages kinda threw me at first being 16 and 26 but it turned out okay. Other than that it was good, it’s filled with drama, insecurities, healing, hope and jealousy from outside sources trying to keep them apart. It was a decent size read for me, about 350 pages. Though I read it in one day because I didn’t want to put it down at all, even though it put me through an emotional rollercoaster ride. I’m already about to go read the second one right now tbh 😂 i already got it from kindle unlimited. I can’t wait to read it, especially with the cliffhanger. I need to know what happens. I hope the next ones doesn’t also lmao 😣 😂 I need more from this awesome author.
I enjoyed this novel. Joey’s journey to finding some answers about who she was and what was happening to her was a fun ride. This story includes many twists and turns that kept me interested and excited to see what would happen next. I enjoyed the story and look forward to reading more from this author
If you are looking for a book that will suspense, thrills, and romance while leaving you smiling and wanting to keep turning the pages, then this book is for you!
Lela’s Choice by Jennifer Raines follows the stories of Lela as she travels to Malta to look for her missing niece and boyfriend, and Hamish, the lawyer hired by Lela’s father to help her find them. But along they way, they may find more than they bargained for.
I loved the fact that the characters seemed real, flawed, and nuanced but still kept the lighthearted feel of a romance while still dealing with hard topics like loss, familial drama, devastaing loss and the barriers trust issues create. The book felt real and left you feeling like love can flourish in the times that you least expect it. You just have to find a way to trust yourself as well as others. This is my second book by this author, and I can’t wait to pick up another.

Lela’s niece flees to Malta with her boyfriend leaving Lela wondering what she could have done better as an Aunt. Lela has always done what her father wanted her too. But, the search for her niece leads her down a path where she must decide whether to continue to be at her father’s beck and call or to make her own path in life. Lela has a choice, a hard choice to make. Enjoyed this book very much.

Lauren and Katie are back at Amberwood. They are year 9’s this year and excited for the new term. Grace and Rodney are now free to go anywhere they wish because they are not stuck to the Amberwood grounds any longer. The adventure begins in the town theater where we meet Lillie. With the theater being torn down there is some urgency to save her.
This book was quite enjoyable and youths who enjoy some mystery and a bit of paranormal will love this continuing series. Another great read.

It wasn’t until I finished this book that I found out it was book two of a series. I think that maybe reading the first would have really pulled the story together for me. I found I was a little lost with a few things that were happening and told in the book, which I felt were probably addressed in the first book. But besides that, this book was good and so well written that I will be going back and reading the first book. This book was filled with so much action, adventure, supernatural, paranormal suspense. Mystery and so much more. This book was very well written and was so filled with imaginative story that I felt like I was right there with the characters myself. Joey finds a world of paranormal and she’s not sure how to come to the reality of the real world. This book really had me hooked thou from the beginning, and o couldn’t put it down.
