The Befallen by Cambria Williams was great! Not what I expected and I really enjoyed it. No spoilers, but I did love how the romance was not the typical kind you get in books. Great character development and world building, main character growth throughout, and very hard book to put down. Absolutely would recommend if you’re looking for something different and don’t want to get caught up in a series.

The Alien & the Crime Boss by Naomi Valkyrie is a wonderfully written Sci-Fi, MM , Mafia Romance that will have you turning the pages till the end. I’ve read every book this author has written and each time I say its my favorite yet but this one is definitely my favorite yet. It’s packed with action, danger, suspense, aliens , adventure and so much more. This is a story about Leilphun and Kasper. Leilphun finds himself in quite the situation after arriving here on earth. He escaped his world but now is in a place he never thought he’d be in. Kasper isn’t looking for any kind of distractions as he’s got a plan and hopes to stick to it. But fate has other plans it seems for these two. I loved everything about this book I only wish it was a bit longer. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Picking Up The Befallen by Cambria Williams, I was unsure of what to expect. Reading the book’s details I saw that it was a fantasy knight style book( which is not my usual go to fantasy read but Omgggggg, I’m soooo happy I gave it a go. It was good, really Imaginative. This book sends you on an incredible journey with some amazing characters. It has a slow start but really picks up in the second half but even when slow, you will be intrigued to keep going. I know I was! 🥰 it also have some good action scenes. I really cannot wait for more from this author in the near future.

A Journey for Dorothy by P. Creeden

This story was very well written and the characters were very relatable. I was able to get the story in my mind and it was so endearing. The way they each took care of the other when they were Injured or sick. the fake marriage that they both grew to want for real. I really enjoyed this story. This was the first in the series that I had read but I may go back and read some of the others as well.

This is book six in the Tom Grant series. In this novel, Tom gets dragged back into the underworld of human trafficking. While this book can be read as a stand alone, it’s helpful to read the previous books in the series to get a full background. This thrilling, action-packed story is a page turner and one that will have the reader on the edge of their seat. Expect the unexpected. It is packed with adventure, danger, and twists on the plot. The subject of human trafficking is very real in this book and makes for an interesting plot.
A King So Savage by April Moran

This book has really dark undertones, but what the author did with it was pretty good. A King so Savage, was added to my reading list because I’m familiar with the author. And since I wasn’t feeling that great today, I figured I’d wrap up in a blanket and give it a go. It did take me all day because I wanted to sleep a few times, but I’m glad I pished through.
Ava has been taken. Taken by a ruthless man who intends to use her for random against her brother. What this man doesn’t understand is her brother could careless about her. So she fights to escape. She also fights the twisted feelings she feels for him.
Will she ever get away?
Kingston has a plan, and Ava is the center of it. He caught wind that her brother intended to auction her off to pay his debts, well he can’t let that happen. So he took her instead. With the exact same plan if her brother refuses to do anything about it. One problem, he wants her for himself. Her feistiness fuels his sadistic nature. But she’s an innocent flower, he can’t follow his desires. Or can he?
The rollercoaster ride this book put you on is a lot. A lot of passion! A lot of pain! If you can handle both of those topics you should dive deeper into this story like I did. It’s a duet so be prepared for another book to read after. Enjoy!

A fast paced, enemies-to-lovers, romance. Full of twists and turns and a surprise who-done-it, even I didn’t guess this one correctly like the last book. This one will definitely have you turning pages and devouring every word from start to finish. I cannot get enough of this series. Can be read as a stand-alone.

Definitely lots of world building! I had to slow down and take my time with it, and the beginning was a little confusing, but i definitely enjoyed it! It’s a great action fantasy novel, and I highly recommend!!

I loved the first book, and the second is just as good! We follow Leo as he is thrust into a kingdom he never thought of having. It’s a fantastic fantasy read full of growth, tribulation, and action. I really hope we get more of Leo’s story, because I honestly couldn’t put the book down!

I have started to love a good thriller mystery! You do not have to read the others to read this one. I will be going back and reading them in order to get the full back story of the main character. Jorja is in a foreign country and having to sift through the lies and corruption to find her best friend. She is used to having a case to solve but not one that hits so close to home. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole story. I was definitely into this one and cannot wait to read more from this author!

OMG! All I can say is that the entire series is amazing! This is book 8 and just like the rest, this one did not disappoint! This book is the continuation of Shane and Winters’s story and also the end of the series. Shane Bennett lied to Winter. How could she not recognize him? When Shane accidentally drops his wallet in her dorm Winter finally realizes Shane’s true identity. But it is too late! Someone has kidnapped Winter and brought her to the one place that keeps her nightmares fresh in her mind. Although these two have a pretty troubling past that should keep them apart, it is exactly the thing that helps push them together. When Winter gets a surprise visit from one of her professors Winter learns the disturbing truth about her sister’s murder. This book is not only a sweet romance but a thriller. It was a page-turner from the first book in the series. I am sad to come to the end of the Hidden Valley Elite Series but can’t wait to see what else this author comes out with.

This is the first book in the Sparky of Bunker Hill series, that I’m reading written by this author. Although this is geared towards teen to YA readers, I enjoyed reading it. The author does a great job describing the world that Sparky is living in detail. Sparky is a very interesting character along with many of the other characters we meet as we read the book. Sparky is wrongfully accused of murder. How will she prove she wasn’t the murderer? Who will stand beside her and help Sparky clear her name? Sparky is relatable and seems to live a exciting life in 1930’s, a kid who’s had to grow up mostly on her own. I would have loved reading a story like this as a young teen.

I love a good romance, especially one with an age gap. When I read the preview, I was hooked! I could not put this book down! I was consumed with the story line between Naseer and Jade. They both complement each other very well and their story was one that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. I cannot wait to read more books by this author!!

Oh my gosh! What an ending! Not only was Wicked Ends the conclusion to Shane and Winter’s story, but the entire Hidden Valley Elite Series. What a bittersweet moment reading the last few pages of this one. Isla Vaughn draws the reader in with superb world building; I could feel what the characters were feeling, I could see the world around them, and I connected with the characters. There is so much drama, suspense, passion, hate, and love in this book and it kept me on my toes! To say I was invested in not only this book, but the entire series, would be a supreme understatement. I was so worried and anxious for Winter not only being kidnapped, but dealing with the events of her past. There was so much growth in this whole series, and I love it! The Elite boys learn, grow, and become men and it is so wholesome and satisfying. Despite all the struggles throughout the books, this series ends in happiness! I can’t wait to see what Isla Vaughn delivers after this!

I absolutely loved the last book in this series and had to see where this next one takes Jorja. This time she travels to Turkey with her best friend, Gabrielle, but when she arrives, she is nowhere to be found. Not answering her phone, suitcases located and no one has her from her in days. This has Jorja left baffled at her missing friend in a foreign country. All possible theories come into question and the fact she is in unfamiliar territory makes the possibilities endless. While discovering secrets and lies, she starts uncovering what lies beneath of what is going on in the city of Istanbul. Seeing how strong and inquisitive Jorja gets in each of her cases shows such strength and courage even when personal matters get tangled in the midst of her investigations. Wonderful story and series!

Even though this is the fifth book in the series, this read was my first one in the series. When jumping into a series, you never know what to expect whether to be thrown off in details from picking up in the middle of the series or being able to flow again with the story at hand. It was so great reading details brought back from previous ones to help better understand the characters and past experiences. Then in itself, learning of this crime that had taken place when a private investigator goes missing and then found dead, many questions come back. Jorja, a strong female character who is a private investigator and helps try to solve the mystery of the murder of a former police officer. With the unraveling mystery behind this murder, a pending label on a current fling and venturing through the Canadian badlands, there are twists and turns that make this read worth the while!

Nessie and the Living Stone is Book 1 of the Nessie’s Grotto series, and this is a wonderful story and I highly recommend. Coming into full circle with decisions and choices that need to be made, magic, imagination and creativity.
What happens when you believe you found a “magic stone”? Craig and his sister Linda are on one adventure when Craig finds a special stone, possibly magical. Craig is hopeful that he may be able to catch Nessie, but when a choice needs to be made in between the adventure that Craig and Linda have, will Craig make the right choice…
This is a wonderful story to be enjoyed by anyone. I loved the message behind the book and I always enjoy Lois Wickstrom’s stories. My favorite passage from the book (and this will stay with me for a long time)…”It’s what we give, not what we take, that makes us heroes or monsters”.
The Cannibal Caper: A Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery by Rosalind Barden

We are back with another wild mystery solving adventure with Sparky. I absolutely adore seeing how this pint sized detective sleuths her way into all of the different shenanigans throughout this tale. We see some of our old friends from the previous book, as well as some new ones! I love the creativity of the author and how well detailed the story is, you really do feel like you are back in the 1030’s with Sparky as she navigates detective work as well as surviving her real life as well. Again, the story has all sorts of twists and turns with red herrings all around. I was so excited when I saw there was a second book out in the series and I can’t wait to read book 3.

Well I found this to be a very well written and entertaining story set in the 1930’s. We meet Sparky a sassy and street wise 11 year old orphan who, after finding a dead body, has to clear her name quickly as the body count rises. I was pleasantly surprised at how engaging I found a book about an 11 year old sleuth to be, this is definitely not a book for kids, adults can absolutely enjoy this story. The author did an awesome job with details, making you feel like you really are in Depression Era LA. She writes memorable and descriptive characters that you can absolutely picture in your mind. I loved all of the twists and turns that the story had right up until the end. I am absolutely looking forward to seeing Sparky again in more capers.

Naseer and Jade meet by chance at a time in their lives when they really need each other. Naseer was in a bad motorcycle accident and Jade had just lost both of her parents. There is a pretty large age gap between these two. As they spend more time together there is no denying the chemistry. Their relationship is very up and down and after a few years they decide to make a go at being romantically involved. There are people working against their relationship and it’s making it that much more difficult. This story follows as they both grow older and mature. You don’t get to find out the outcome because you get left on a bit of a cliffhanger. There are a couple of twists and turns and they definitely have some obstacles to overcome. I enjoyed reading this story. I can’t wait to read the next book.

The Cold Case Kid by Rosalind Barden is part of the Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery series. When 11-year-old street kid Sparky discovers a dead body, she is made a suspect for the crime. She has to hide out after she sees everyone turn on her. Sparky puts her wits to good use and goes on a mission to try to solve the crime. This story was not what I expected. Despite being aimed at kids this was a very engaging story for adults. Sparky is a well-written preteen. Sassy, spunky, and very much a street kid. There was humor and twists that helped keep you engaged. The story is richly woven and pulls you in. I enjoyed this story.

A Journey for Dorothy is book 8 in The Reluctant Wagon Train Bride Series by P. Creeden. When Dorothy Mason finds herself wanting to join a wagon train going west to Oregon, she finds that the operator will not allow an unmarried woman to join his wagon train. When she comes across Rev. Elias Stone, who is going west to help lost souls, they see they can help each other. I enjoyed this historical romance. I loved the setting and the attention to detail from the author, to bring that setting to life. I feel like Dorothy and Elias were great together. They are both well-written characters that you can relate to. Their story is very engaging and I enjoyed seeing these two get to know each other. This is a very rich and engaging story.

This is the final chapter in the gripping story of a good old fashioned baddie and the race against time to help the souls in purgatory including Julia’s husband Nick.
As the time races from Italy to Asia, Europe and back to Venice will they be able to find the ancient relic which will destroy Salvatore’s plans and recuse Nick and reunite him with Julia. You will have to see?
This as the other books is a fasted paced thrilling story which has you travelling all over the global discovering old legends to stop Salvatore in his quest. Julia’s character is fully of courage and determination to help Nick but with her friends she has met these characters enhance the story and have you reading at a fast pace to see what happens next.
This book is a great conclusion to this epic series and I can’t wait to read more by this author.

Wicked Ends: A Dark College Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Book 8)
I know i have said this after every book in this series and it needs to be said again I am absolutely in love with this book and series. I hate to see it end, but their group goes out with a bang.
Winter and Shane’s story continues, in this part 2 of their story. And I don’t know where to begin since somuch happens and so many of my questions are answered about the past that I don’t know if it could have ended any other way. One of my favorite scenes came close to the end, won’t elaborate since it is an important part of the story, or at least I think so.
I loved watching everyone, especially the boys mature and grow. There were times throughout the book and series that I forgot they were high school/college age kids.
I’m looking forward to reading future books and series by Ms. Vaughn. I have a feeling I will love them as much as I have loved this one.

A King so Savage by April Moran is the first book in a Duet. This is April Moran’s debut into the Dark Mafia Romance world and it did not disappoint. Check your trigger warnings before reading as some themes may be uncomfortable for some readers. Also, if you are into it there is a playlist that goes along with the book that can be found linked in the beginning pages of the book. This story follows Kingston Winter and Ava Bella Blue. Kingston takes Ava captive because of a large debt owed to him by her brother. This beautifully written story will leave you with all the emotions. You will be frustrated and angry, as well as hooked and surprised. These characters are flawed and well written. Making this story enthralling and spicy. 4 out of 5 Stars.

Isla gas done it again! This story is the conclusion to Winter and Shane’s story as well as a gripping and satisfying end to an amazing series. Seriously do not sleep on this series or this Author. 5 out of 5 stars!!!!!

An enjoyable and engaging MM Sci-fi mafia romance which kept me hooked throughout. When Kasper Kingston comes across a man claiming to be from another planet, he thinks it’s a cover story. Kasper is hiding out having set in motion a plan to weaken two major crime families. He believes Leilphun has been sent to kill him and so keeps him prisoner. When he saves his life Kasper starts to think that maybe he is an alien. Meanwhile, Leilphun has left his home planet having runaway from the authorities to avoid having to fight in the fighting arena, as a punishment. To save the human, Leilphun has to call upon his warrior spirit which he has sworn never to do in case he loses himself to his primal nature. To confuse things further Leilphun believes Kasper has initiated the betrothal ritual and Kasper is getting distracted by his otherworldly hero. I loved the two main characters and their chemistry sizzled off the page. As usual the author brought both the characters and setting vividly to life making me feel immersed in the story.
Lela’s Choice by Jennifer Raines

I enjoyed this romance adventure. The author does an amazing job with this story. It is a complex tale full of twists and turns, family drama, angst, forced proximity. It is also a story of finding love when you least expect it and learning how to drop your guard and trust someone.
Lela is on the search for her niece. Her niece left Australia and headed to Malta and Lela wants to find her and find out why she left. Even though she has an idea it was to do with her overbearing father.
Hamish McGregor is a lawyer who specialises in child-protection. When he is hired by Lela’s father to find the missing girl he realises that he needs to work with Lela if they are going to succeed and find the missing girl. What Hamish doesnt expect is that Lela is a stubborn woman who is determined to do things herself and the fact that she sees him as the enemy.
Can they work together to find the missing girl? Can they fight their feelings and attraction for long? And what is the risk if they give into their feelings? Both of our characters have scars in their past that makes taking a risk on love hard for them both but maybe they can take that chance together.

This book is really, really good. I am not a sci-fi can at all but this has romance which is my go to genre, so I figured I would give it a go. This is also an author that I have read before and loved their writing style. Lets start by saying this is a more of a sci-fi book with MM romance than a romance with sci-fi. The way the author writes and describes the scenes is amazing. It helped me really be able to visualize what was happening and I got lost in. this unique world that was created. I will be the first to admit that I was really thinking I wasn’t going to like this book because of the sci-fi elements. That was not the cause, I feel the sci-fi really took the story in a creative direction that I would have never thought of and really made the story come to life. The imagery that you are able to create based upon the writing allows for this book to be a quick read. I found myself flying through the pages and when the books ends, it feels like it was supposed to end the way that it did. I didn’t feel like it was lacking anything and it felt whole. There are areas that this could continue if the author wants to but it also is summed up nicely to where you as a reader feel content with how things worked out. This was a great escape. that I didn’t see coming but thoroughly enjoyed.
