I have not read a book by this author prior to this book and I was blown away! This a cute wholesome romance novel that I enjoyed reading. I could not put this book down whatsoever. The writing for this book was so cute and was a great lighthearted read that had me smiling and laughing as the story went along. I cannot wait to read more from this wonderful author!!

This is the first book I have read from this author and wow I’m a fan now. I love a good paranormal romance but this story exceeded all my expectations. You are going to fall in love with all of the characters in their own way. I could not put this book down until the end. I was so excited to see what would happen next that I read it in twenty four hours.
Caitlyn DeDanann lives her life day to day without planning. She is alway scatterbrained as well. Caitlyn is shocked when she gets an offer to do some background investigation when she is supposed to be on vacation. She is not happy about this but she goes and she meets a very interesting family. They are called the Arsceneaux family and they have a lot of secrets they are holding. When Caitlyn meets this family she is very intrigued and she starts to dig deeper. She is drawn to one of the brothers but she doesn’t understand it. Could they mind controlling her or is it true love?

This is the third book in the Devil’s Handmaidens MC series. Although this can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the first two books in the series. This book focuses on Taz and Enforcer but previous characters make appearances.
Once again, I loved being thrown into the brilliantly created world with the amazingly strong women and the people who support them. Taz is remarkable, having a difficult past and working hard to make a new life for herself and her son. When her past comes forth bringing danger, she is fierce in the face of her fears and Enforcer (as well as the rest of the MCs) support her like the family they are.
Not only are Taz and Enforcer holding a special place in my heart, so is her son. The inclusion of this new dynamic brings an extra element of emotion to everything they go through. I was incredibly emotionally invested, beginning to end, and still am.
Cannot wait for the next instalment to be released!
Toni began by going on a romantic trip with her boyfriend. However, she ends up this trip without this boyfriend because it isn’t working out the way that she had planned it. She leaves the trip and she ends up at a different (read: better) hotel. At this hotel she meets a man and it definitely leaves her with amazingly hot and steamy nights. This man, however, doesn’t like those three little words. He doesn’t say them. Is this something that she can look past? Is she going to be able to convince him to change his mind? This was a quick read. It says it is a holiday read, but it is more a vacation read. It is the perfect beach read full of romance and comedy and just a couple that you want to root for. I definitely recommend pick this one up this summer!

Love Is What It Is by Marina is another fun brilliantly written contemporary sea sun and surf romance tale that had me completely captivated right from the very first page. It is a quick read that has everything to keep you engaged. This is not my first read by this author and I have loved everything I have read. The wonderful characters make it easy to dive in and are so easy to fall in love with. I became very invested in them and their story. Marinas wicked sense of humour is beautifully woven in this fun story. I loved every minute of it. Hearts maybe broken on a beautiful Mediterranean holiday. With lots of passion, some sizzling chemistry, a dash of angst and a little drama and some super sexy times makes for some fabulous reading. You know when you find an author and her words just click and you can’t get enough. Well, that is what happens when I read her work. You are truly missing out if you don’t dive into Marina’s work.

What a ride! TAZ is the third instalment in DM Earl’s Devil’s Handmaidens all female MC: Timber Ghost Montana. I was so excited to see the next book was out and jumped on that straightaway. It is one of my favourite series. There is a large cast of characters and a lot to keep up with, but DM has masterfully woven it all together to give us something that is raw, dark and gritty making it a gripping and captivating read. These amazing characters are flawed and broken and have been through so much but with all that they are a family of choice. Taz is as colourful and sassy as her hair. She was on the run but found a home but that is all now in jeopardy when her past comes knocking. We see the women of the MC and others who answered the call put through their paces with this one with white supremacists and corrupt politicians. It is jam packed with danger, action, suspense, suspense, drama, angst, and tension. Hopefully Taz and Travis can survive the storm with all the secrets and lies. I look forward to reading so much more from this series.
Sliding into Home is the third book in the Playing for Keeps series by Lauren Fraser. It is a second chance romance sports romance with a secret. It can be read as a standalone, but I encourage you to start at the beginning as the characters cross over. The characters feel real. We get to see sides to them that are not all polished. As we go through the journey of their lives, we feel it all the pain and emotions that go with it. With tension, doubts, jealousy, drama, trust issues, fears, meddling parents, anger and angst it is a smorgasbord of emotions. But let’s not forget the passion and chemistry. This is Kia and Jeff’s story. Baseball is his life, but he is about to discover that there is one thing that may just change his mind. Max steals the show though. Sliding into Home is told in multiple POV’s which gives us a deeper look at the character. It is a quick and engaging baseball read. I look forward to the rest of the teams’ stories. Is love a good baseball romance this one is for you.

Shalom Israel by Melissa Lavi. I bought this book for my nephews who are 5 and 10 and they both really enjoyed it. Its a very educational family book that I learned from as well as my nephews. Its basically an adventure of pictures and writing that takes you thru all the diverse locations of Israel. It teaches you about all the diverse culture that is in Israel along with what its like to be Jewish. The story is told in a rhyme so its easy for kids to understand and the pictures are beautiful. It also has a glossary at the end that really helped me understand what some words meant. This would make a great addition to your families library.

Sliding Into Home is Book Three in the Playing for Keeps Series. This story centers around the characters of Kia and Jeff. Six years ago, they met and hooked up for a one-night stand. Afterwards Kia discovered that she was pregnant, but she was unable to find Jeff to tell him. Jeff went onto to pursue a career in major league baseball which explains why he could not be found. Kia did not let this deter her from having a future and she moved forward with her life becoming a successful tattoo artist. She is determined, smart, hardworking, feisty, and a great mom to Max. When she runs into Jeff at her son’s baseball game she is surprised and knows that she needs to tell him that Max is his son. Jeff is now Max’s baseball coach, and he is just as surprised to see Kia after all these years. When Kia tells Jeff the news that he is Max’s father the two must navigate through how they will co-parent Max as well as work through all the external forces that seem determined to create unnecessary stress in their lives. Jeff could have easily walked away but he is determined to be a good dad to Max as well as be there for Kia. As Kia and Jeff spend more time together, they begin to develop intense, undeniable feelings for one another. A well written story with a fantastic storyline and great characters. This book will draw you in and have you rooting for Jeff, Kia, and Max to get their happily ever after story that they all deserve. A great read full of family, drama, stress, love, passion, hurt, jealousy, lies, and love.

This is a fun, light hearted and entertaining romance story that was enjoyable from start to finish. I though the characters were interesting and had a great connection. I loved how their relationship developed and I wanted to see them work things out. This is a new author to me and I enjoyed the story I read. I liked the way the story unfolded and how I wanted to know more about what was going on. This is a great book and I am looking forward to see what else this author has to offer.

This book is the second in the series. It can be read as a standalone although I do think reading the first book would be beneficial. This is quite a slow build book, starting off slow and increasing the pace of the book as it goes on. The book is full of romance and suspense and the author has combined them both so well. This is a new author to me and I was taken in by her writing style. I will definitely be going back to read the first book but this was enjoyable in its own right. I became engaged with the story and wanted to see how things would turn out. This is a great story and I am looking forward to discovering more from the author

Taz is a member of the Devil’s Handmaidens MC, she is good at numbers and when she notices money missing from the Tink’s account it begins to unravel into something more. Her son is attacked from the cruel man from her past and while all this is simmering in the background, her secret relationship with Travis “Enforcer” Milford becomes something more. Taz’s focus though is her son and protecting him at all costs, especially since her ex doesn’t seem to want to go away.
It is unusual to find a book with a female MC which is refreshing. I thought Taz was a strong woman who got fooled in her earlier life. I loved the interaction she has with her son. Travis and Taz had terrific chemistry even when they disagree. Definitely going to go back and read the other two books.
Taz is Book Three in the Devil’s Handmaidens MC Series. The series focuses on strong, feisty, smart, bad arse women who do not back down from a challenge. The women are part of a motorcycle club, and each has their own backstory that has led them to be part of the club. This story focuses on Taz, who was running with her young son Teddy from her abusive ex when she ran, literally, into Shadow. Shadow offered her and her son protection and the club took her under their wing. Taz first became a prospect, and then a member of the Devil’s Handmaidens and now is their accountant. Taz will do anything to protect her son Teddy from being hurt and so will the members of the club. When Taz’s ex comes back into the picture and enlists the help of a white supremacist club Taz and the Devil’s Handmaidens enlist the help of a male MC club known as the Intruders. Together they fight to protect Teddy and take down the white supremacist group.
This was another superbly written book in this series with a strong cast of characters and an amazing storyline that pulled me in from the very beginning. Taz was a colorful character with her multi colored hair and looked tough on the exterior but was a bit of a nerd deep down. When it came to protecting her son, she was fierce. The Devil’s Handmaidens and the Intruders were made up of strong men and women who believed in protecting their loved ones and bringing justice to those who deserved it. Travis, AKA the Enforcer, was willing to protect Teddy at all costs. This book was full of drama, action, suspense, danger, angst, intrigue, and twists and turns that will keep you riveted until the end. I highly recommend this book!

Toni thought she was going on a romantic trip with one boyfriend and dumped him because the trip, quite frankly, was a bust. She went to a much better hotel and had the adventure of a lifetime. The challenge was that the guy didn’t believe in saying “I love you.” The story takes us on their journey. Can they get past this? I found it a quick read. It had some nice humor, a bit of entertaining romance. You do find yourself giggling in spots. I wanted to root for them because it’s hard when someone doesn’t believe in love. It’s a good book that I think rmance readers may enjoy.

I want to not give it 5 stars because I am still angry…intrigued…anxious…and impatiently waiting for the next book.
This quick introduction to Aspen and Phoenix also provides a little preview of what is to come with Shane and Tracey. It’s like a trailer for what’s to come only we don’t get most of the story in the NINE chapters. Yes, NINE chapters.
I read it after a long day thinking I was going to be rewarded and I was so irritated that it was over so fast that I almost threw my Kindle.
So much happens that I didn’t expect. Phoenix’s devious side comes out. Shane’s more like his brother and cousins that we thought. Tracey is who we knew she was but with a helping hand of manipulation that we might or might not be mad about. Aspen is new to us, but I think we’ll like her.
It’s been over twelve hours since I read Cruel Start…I’m still angry, intrigued, anxious, AND impatiently waiting for not only Cruel Hate but the rest of the books in this series.
And it is a 5-star read for me despite my conflicted feelings.
Isla Vaughn has quickly become a go to author for me.

An adorable second chance romance that will have you rooting for true love. Oh my, I found myself rooting for Max. Who wouldn’t? Max is a sweet little boy that deserved to have a mom and Dad. Kia and Smitty are two people that deserved that second chance and they will protect Max at all costs. Watching them work out their parenting issues while the spark burned between them was charming. This is one of those couples you just want to cheer for. You also give a big happy yell when some changes are made in Kia’s life. I loved the plot. The story sucks you right in from the beginning. It is very good and very intriguing. It Keeps you engaged and wanting more. I enjoyed this story so much. The romance, humor and the fact that it’s a quick read. A definite must read for romance lovers.

I thought Tink and Shadow took the title of Badass. Taz has been through some bad stuff and had her world turned upside down. Her little boy, Timothy, who has autism, is my little hero. I have not laughed so hard. I don’t know where the inspiration for him came from but raising an autistic little boy myself, you hit that spot on. The weenie conversation had me spitting coffee and falling off my chair. Taz and Enforcer have a lot to overcome but they are one couple that I found myself rooting for. Those two deserve peace and love. Old faces came to visit. Both MC’s were involved in the story along with the Grimm Wolves. Action, drama, suspense, romance, and a bit of Montana Militia. You’ll be on the edge of your seat and have to read the whole book in one sitting. I love this whole dang series. The author writes it so well. It can be graphic but it so well written and the characters are so relatable. One of the best MC series around. This is my favorite book in the series yet.
Another gripping story featuring the women from the Devil’s Handmaidens MC, Timber-Ghost, Montana Chapter. As usual I was hooked from start to finish by this MC romantic suspense, which is full of drama, making it hard to put the book down! The storyline focuses on the Clubs Treasurer, Taz with her wild and colourful hair. Although she comes across as the shy nerdy one of the MC, if you mess with her family you get her rough and hard side. So when her ex comes back into her life putting son Teddy in danger, she’s determined to protect him. Even if that means enlisting the help of Travis “Enforcer” Milford, and his brothers from the Intruders. Both the Devil’s Handmaidens and the Intruders work together to go up against their enemies, who don’t stand a chance. Especially when it also becomes personal for Enforcer, who will do anything to keep Taz and her son safe. Once again I was fully immersed in the Devil’s Handmaidens world, which is brought vividly to life through the well defined characters and the descriptive narrative of the setting. I love the fact that it’s an all woman’s MC which is unusual in novels, and I love all the unique and quirky characters who are all individuals. The storyline does get a little dark, but I loved being back with the Devil’s Handmaidens and look forward to returning to them soon!

Goldilocks is no longer hunted or chased away but thanked for her surprising helpfulness. A book that once screamed danger ahead now says be resourceful. Teaching kids to leave things better than they found them and helping new friends in new ways.
At the end of the book Lois lists the sketches and instructions to test out the machines yourself.
The book is colorful and full of bloom. Italicized words or different font highlights and captures the reader and listeners eyes. A very fun scientific twist on a classic.

A Toast for Laurent is about 2 long-lost lovers finding each other after 20 years. Laurent is a wealthy vineyard owner who was very much in love with Phoebe, however, she is a “runner”. Phoebe having mommy, daddy, and their marriage issues is a runner – she runs from life, love, and anything uncomfortable. Well, 20 years ago she ran from Laurent and left him heartbroken. However, they made a pact that if by the time they were 40 and not married they would get married. Phoebe’s younger sister is getting married and is always criticized by her family so she wants to make good on their pact. She happens to be a successful businesswoman for the local hotel in the city Laurent lives in. At the story’s beginning, she is walking into his vineyard/bar and demanding he marries her. This begins the second phase love story. Love was never the problem so can they each learn from the past and begin a future of happiness?
I enjoyed this romance story. I think it isn’t often they have a male leader that isn’t really the problem in the story, and I quite enjoyed that perspective. Laurent is a likable, caring, loving, handsome, level-minded, and successful individual. You can tell he loves with his whole heart and will fight for what he wants. He is quite patient with Phoebe who is really the problem of the love always falling short. Phoebe was an okay character. She is someone who is scared and afraid to love, afraid to be happy. I appreciate her growth in the story but there were many times I really wanted to slap her. I hate that she thought when things were convenient for her they should be for him. I really just wanted her to get over herself a lot of the time and woman up. Also, one thing I would have liked a little more is their after story, would have felt better about where they were going, but overall enjoyable read.

Twisted Oath is a mafia romance, enemies-to-lovers story. The story is about Salvatore – a bastard child to a Don that has been tossed aside in the family, and Serafina a mafia princess. When the story begins, it is written about how they both met in the past and Salvatore was biding his time to be with Serafina. They had secret meetings but never spoke. Salvatore, for one, is a little older than Serafina, the enemy of her family, and planning his revenge on the situation he was put in. As a bastard child, his mother was the mistress of the Don’s son and was eventually kidnapped and killed. Salvatore planned to get into his rightful family and plan revenge on the person who took his mother. In the process, while Serafina was part of the plan, he never planned to fall for her (especially since he is evil, dark-hearted, and incapable of love). Serafina was always intrigued by the boy/man who met her on the rocks and fell in love without understanding. As the story goes on, their love story takes a turn and they are arranged to be married. Serafina has always loved him, but also never really wanted the mafia life, she wanted to save lives rather than take them. However, being the mafia princess she is – she does her duty. There are many twists, turns, and stories throughout the book – will they be able to truly love each other? Will they each be able to get to their final goals? Can they make a life with so much difficulty going on around them? Mafia romances are one of my favorite genres and this one was a little different than the ones I have read in the past. Make sure you read your trigger warnings. In the beginning, I had a hard time keeping up with where in their story they were – each chapter is from a certain character’s point of view at a certain age, but it does pretty much go in sequential order. I enjoyed the characters. Salvatore was your typical brawny, over-protective, mafia psycho, but the changes throughout the story were great to see. Serafina I thought was a good character. She was brave, smart, kind, and loving, but also not willing to completely be run over by these mafia men. Overall, I did enjoy the progression of the story.

Such a wonderful series so far!! I can’t wait to read more of it!! This is book 3 to the Buckeye Falls Series and boy oh boy are you in for it with this one! I cried a couple times for these characters. Anthony and Natalie have the picture perfect life and family. Both feel guilt of not doing better. Not being better. But can the couple come together and work things out? Or is this the end of their seemingly perfect relationship? When Anthony’s father asks the couple to pack up, clean, and get the family lake house ready for sale the couple jumps at the chance for a week away from everything. With the kids safely with their aunt with grandma there for backup, the two take off. Can the two put work and life away for a week and work things out while they pack? Or will this week away confirm their fears of growing apart in life. I won’t give anything away, but let me tell you that this couple has some ups and downs in this book. Sometimes over simple things that make you want to smack them both and lock them in a room until they work stuff out. Such a wonderful book that had me crying and thinking about some of my own relationships with family and friends. Check this sweet romance out! You CAN read this book as a stand alone, but I wouldn’t recommend it. The previous two books introduce you to the town and many of the characters that you will see in this book. So personally I would say read all three in order for a better reading experience with this series.

She does it again!! This author is my favorite author for 2023!! For sure a hidden gem. This is the start of Phoenix & Aspen’s storie, and let me tell you it starts of with a zinger. This Novella is exactly what a Novella needs to be…. it drew me in from the start and has me salivating to get my hands on the next book ASAP. I would recommend you read the series in order because there is crossover from the other characters and you will not be disappointed
Carter is determined to uncover evidence that he found out while pursuing his career in politics was ruined. Now he is back home in Asheville, North Carolina running the family brewery but he can’t deny he is not happy with his new path. Carter has been spending time at the library where he meets Sunny a quirky walking encyclopedia of a librarian. Little does he know that Sunny is the granddaughter of Duke, a conspiracy theorist, who he needs information from. Seeing Sunny mooning over her neighbor who has no clue she thinks of him more than a friend. Carter makes a deal with Sunny to be her fake boyfriend to get her the man she wants and in return she helps him track down a source who can help unravel the corruption that had him step away from his career. Neither though planned on feelings getting involved.
This was delightfully hilarious. I love a book with quirky characters, throw in a pet skunk and a bit of romance and I am all in in this book. I laughed out loud several times and really enjoyed Sunny, she is such a breath of fresh air and is polar opposite to Carter. I liked seeing Carter grow into his own brand of crazy with Sunny. Wonderful read.

Shalom Israel was a great learning kids book. It was great to feel like you were traveling to this country and learning about all the aspects in the culture. The book talked about the language, the people, the landscapes, art, shopping food, etc. Kids will learn a lot about this country and culture through the easy-to-read story. I also like that they included animation in with real pictures from Israel.

This is the 2nd book in the Ladies of the Links series. This is the first book I have read in the series and still really enjoyed it, however I will be going back to read the first book as I enjoyed this one. This is a second chance romance that had it all, attraction, chemistry, secrets, heartbreaks and past loves returning. The author does an amazing job with the characters, I loved the relationship between the friends and all the things they get up to. Their group reminded me of me and my friends which really made the characters relatable. I really felt sorry for Ryan. He was left heartbroken when Christy disappeared from his life.
Fast forward and Christy is doing great. She had a job she loves, 2 beautiful children who she adores and things are going good. When a blast from her past shows up it turns her world upside down. Ryan was the love of her life and she was heartbroken when they parted but now he is back and all those old feelings resurface. Do the couple stand any chance this time? Or will time and secrets yet to be revealed push them apart yet again?

My Goodbye Girl by Anna Gomez is my first read by this author, and I would say that it’s a cute little rom com with the main characters of a writer named Tessa and a scientist named Simon. The way that Anna describes the characters and their lifestyles, we can conclude that they are opposites, but it’s like the old saying goes…. opposites attract! Simon and Tessa happen to meet on a flight and Simon finds that he can’t stay away from the spontaneous author. Tessa finds Simon interesting and herself attracted to him and decides to invite him all around the world with her, but Simon quickly finds out that Tessa won’t move on to the next step of committing to a relationship. Of course, there has to be some sort of conflict, or it would be a very short book, less interesting story. Tessa’s refusal to settle down with Simon isn’t their only predicament, they live on different continents, have different lifestyles, and Tessa suffers a loss that she just can’t seem to recover from. This was a good read, but I found myself wanting more. The only thing that I can say is pick up the book and give it a go, you will have to determine for yourself if it was worth picking up or not, I don’t think that you will be one bit disappointed!

This book is book four of the series. This is the conclusion to Damon and Skylar’s story. You have to at least read book 3 before diving into this one. I could NOT put this book (or any of the series for that matter) down. I read it in a day!
Damon and Skylar have run into some road blocks. Gia is now privy to their secret and she’s not happy. Gia uses her newfound popularity to dump on Skylar and she’s decided the only way to right the wrongs is to take what Gia dishes out. Damon isn’t willing to go down without a fight though.
This book was a great conclusion to Sky and Damon’s story. The characters are great. You can see the growth Damon has went through since the beginning of the duet. Gia is not my favorite person. Her character decline was so well written, I still don’t like her. This book is so good! Definitely recommend the series.

My great nieces, great nephew and I really enjoy Lois Wickstrom book and her stories are very innovative, imaginative and engaging.
This spin on Goldilocks and the 3 bears introduces us to learn about simple machines. When the 3 bears leave their cottage to go for a walk while their porridge cools down to eat, Goldilocks adventures into their house. Goldilocks uses simple machines to help her fix items in the bears cottage to make them better than they were before. What happens when the 3 bears come home and meet Goldilocks? Definitely read and find out!
You are never to young or old to learn new things and that is what I love about this book….learning different simple machines that are useful. The only drawback on this book was the illustrations… I was hoping they would have been more engaging and full of life like her other books.
