Reed and Cameron are cousins and two share a dream in which they meet and interact with Jocelyn, a girl they have never met. Every night, the three meet in their dreams and they all become close. Tragedy strikes Jocelyn and she begins to push them away.
I don’t usually read ménage a trois but the plot of this caught my attention.
I enjoyed reading this and getting to know the characters and how Reed and Cameron want to be there for Jocelyn, even as she runs from them and her feelings.
This is short but it packs a lot of emotions and conflict. I am a sucker when it comes to paranormal aspects.

This story follows Lily, a rockstar known for leading the band The Brightside, and Rhys, a ‘normal’ IT guy who she’s set up on a date with. They’re complete opposites and both think there’s no chance they could get along, but apparently, opposites attract. They fall in love, but will those differences come in between them? My favourite character is Lily because she’s a badass rockstar and also a sweetheart, and my least favourite character is Sherry for breaking poor Rhys’ heart. I recommend this book because it’s a beautiful opposites-attract romance, a pure love story where two people meet unconventionally, think they have nothing in common but it turns out they have unbelievable chemistry. I think I’ll have to read the rest of Morgana Bevan’s work! ‘And I knew, no matter how our brief time ended, I would always cherish our stolen moments together.’

Destiny of Light is the final book in the Quirk of Destiny Trilogy. Wow what a finale. I highly recommend reading this Trilogy in order as each book helps you learn more about the characters and what has been going on in each previous book leading up to this one. This is a Post Apocalyptic Dystopian Sci-Fi Thriller that is packed with action and so much more. The twists and turns had me turning the pages trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Get ready for the Ultimate showdown between Calum and his Allies as they battle the Genie Mutants and the Elite. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

I love a good dark bully romance, and this did not disappoint. Definitely a favorite trope for me, I cannot wait to read more from this series! Cole is a true savage and has plans for Riley, but Riley isn’t so sweet and innocent herself. She knows a thing or two about life and conning someone, will they each meet their match in the other? Possibly, but you should indeed read this to find out!

Savage Lies is the second book in the Hidden Valley Elite series by Isla Vaughn. It is a New Adult (High School) enemies-to-lovers “bully” romance with plenty of angsty drama, family dynamics, darker themes that may be triggers for some readers, emotion, and more. I highly recommend reading the prequel, Savage Start, before starting on this book as the story foundations begin there, as well as character introductions, and other ‘groundwork’ which knowing will help you better understand what happens in this book. As we discovered in the prequel, The ‘Elites’ are the top of the food chain at Hidden Valley Elite high school. They are brothers Cole and Damon and their cousins, twin brothers Phoenix and Shane. They are the football stars of school, and every girls dream- and they know it. It has been a year since the events in ‘Savage Start’, and Riley is back in town and enrolled at Hidden Valley. Soon sparks fly and personalities clash. Things are about to get interesting. But this isn’t a ‘light and fluffy’ read, be warned, the author takes a bit of a darker turn here which may be challenging for some. I am glad this book was ‘meatier’ than the prequel, as I was able to really immerse in the story and begin to invest in the character/s and developments- which I hadn’t been able to do in the prequel. I am so ready for the next instalment. Cole and Riley’s story started in the prequel and resumes here, concluding in “Savage Truth” (Book #2). Each of the elites are set to get their own book/s as well, making for a longer series to sink our teeth into. Bring it on! Happy Reading…

This was a great 5 star novella. I loved Frank and Barbara. Their story pulls you right in. We get some steamy moments among other things. All of the other characters added a great element to the story. I also had some LOL moments as well. You could feel the connection between the couple coming off the pages as their story progressed. This is the first book I have read by K.L. Small, and I was very surprised. While the synopsis seemed interesting, I wasn’t sure if I would truly enjoy a juvenile rated book, I thought quickly vanished. Zarina, the youngest and most beautiful of the parents 13 children she is also the most selfish and lets it be known that she doesn’t care. In two weeks, Zarina will officially have her Royal Advancement Ceremony and get her own chair in the grand room with her family. With recent reports of raiders attacking outlying homes and taking everything of value including food and clothing, the King decides to have a summit. Zarina’s birthday will be the biggest birthday event thus far, including a gala. Finally, she will be allowed to wear a true ball gown and not a little girls dress, only it must be “A Dress to Remember”. Having been told of a seamstress that has “magical” like abilities with what she can create with fabric Zarina ignores all her father’s warnings to get a one-of-a-kind dress. Like with all deals the hidden meanings in the riddles are what set Zarina on a great adventure to return to the castle. Quickly she learns that the subjects of her kingdom, whom she disliked looking at because they always looked so unhappy, start to inform her of how her father and the overseer treat them. She is informed by multiple people on her journey of them taking everything, beatings just because they looked like they might break a rule and told of being thrown in the castle’s dungeons. Venny, one of the men in the village as the scars to prove his claims, only Zarina can’t shake the feeling that she knows him, the slat of his nose the shape of his eyes, she once knew someone with those exact features, but the memory is fuzzy. Finally reaching the castle her heart quickly drops as something is wrong, the guards don’t bare her families royal seal, the banners on the turrets are missing, and the courtyard is filled with raiders. Can Zarina go from a spoiled selfish girl to someone worthy of the peoples love and respect? What happened to her family? Will she be able to rescue Venny and save the village from the Overseer? The magic in her dress is limited, what will happen when the magic is gone, and her fate is determined? The world the author creates is truly like a fairy tale and yet feels realistic. I can envision the events playing out like a movie in my head and my heart racing that Zarina will succeed. I found myself glued to the pages having to know how it ends. Beautiful quick read with magic, personal growth, villains, and more trapped within its pages.

LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH! I read the short prequel to this and I’ve been waiting to read this one and I never wanted it to end. Cole is 🥵 and I LOVE Riley. The push and pull/cat and mouse game they’re playing with each other, has me on edge. It’s a good thing though because I love the angst! They “hate” each other for many reasons but they can’t deny the physical attraction they have for one another. Cole has family problems and so does Riley. Can Cole get over how he’s feeling? Can Riley? If you want a book with drama and angst, read this! If you want a GREAT enemies to lovers book…READ. THIS. I promise you, you won’t regret it. This is such a great read I’ll definitely be re reading it in the near future. It’s one of my favorites! And I need more! It can’t end like that! 😭 I know this series is going to be 8 books…and knowing I have to wait till the end of the year to know how it ends is going to be torture!

So when I started this one I just really wasn’t sure……..the writing style was different from what I was used to with other authors and I just was skeptical of continuing after like 15%. But I pushed on. I’m glad I did. The ploy of the story wasn’t like anything I have read before. This isn’t typically a book I would even pick up and read let alone finish. The main character makes you have so many mixed emotions about him. Most of those are jot good emotions. If you are having a hard time finishing. Just push on. The story as a whole, and the ending. Worth it!
Dark storylines, romance, murder, and mystery. A good intertwining of multiple genres it gives Scotland from the 1600’s and shows just how dark of a time it was. Good read.

Savage Lies is Book 1 of the Hidden Valley Elite series and this book…I am totally all in! I highly recommend reading Savage Start which is the prequel and the start of Cole and Riley’s story.
Cole is part of the Elite 4 that pretty much run Hidden Valley… star football player, handsome and can get any girl….but what he cannot get out of his mind is his kiss with a mysterious girl. The girl is Riley. When Riley comes back into town and starts again at a new school, the same school that Cole and his Elite boys go to, Riley tries just to keep her heads down and get through school on a daily basis. Never count Riley out, she is a bit cunning and has no problem standing up for herself. When Riley takes Cole on…..then it is no holds bar….Cole knowing that Riley off limits to everyone else…yet wants her… but also tries to put her through hell and back. Cole believes Riley is up to something….especially mixing in Riley’s mother as well.
Does Cole succeed in freezing out Riley and th entire school or does Riley get the best of Cole in end?
This is a definite enemy to lovers high school bull romance and I love this story so much. The banter, secrets, lies, love to hate, sizzle and wit between Riley and Cole..wow……..I am so looking forward to Book 2 to see what happens next since there is a cliffhanger.

This was a really good read! This book picks up a year after the prequel novella and starts basically right where it left off. The sexual tension was insane (even though there was a scene that made me slightly uncomfortable considering Riley was 17 during the scene) and it was just well written to me. This is a bully romance, so besides tension there’s a very scenes that may be pushing boundaries if that isn’t your thing. This book did end on a pretty big cliffhanger. Overall I enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to read the next one!

Suspicions is the fifth book in the Notebook Mysteries series by Kimberly Mullins. This book took me back to my roots of being a bookworm sleuth. I have always loved mystery books with the first big series being Nancy Drew. This is one of my favorite series since then. Mullins grabbed my attention right away with Emma being attacked by an assailant who “stabs at her neck frantically with knitting needles…. They wanted me to talk to you first because I could keep you calm. Let’s start again.” This interaction was like a movie playing in my head. It felt so real, and the rest of the book flowed nicely with the same quality. From the very beginning, Emma has found herself in a criminal family starting with the old lady who attacked her. I am well past the intended age group of readers for this wonderful book but I truly enjoyed it and can see many others enjoying it too! Zarina is a true spoilt brat at the beginning but she grows and changes over the course of the story and I think it is something that will draw young readers in and is fantastic for them to experience while captivated by this great storyline. This author is definitely going places and i for one will be keeping a watch on her future books.

Streets of Shadow by Rebecca Bischoff . I have truly enjoyed this series and this author has the magical way of writing that makes you feel like you are in Edinburgh in the 1600s. Its the story of 15 year old Kenna who has discovered her sister has been murdered she is determined to not stop until she finds the killer. Kenna may be only 15 but she is strong, determined, hard working and ready to see this case thru. She is putting herself in all kinds of danger trying to solve this murder. When the police think she is trying to throw them off her scent they begin to suspect she is the killer. She is trying to solve the murder of her sister all the while trying to remain a lady and keep her place in society Will she be able to solve the case and also survive? Read this fast paced, beautifully written young adult thriller to find out.

Fallen Soul (War of Destiny Book 4) by Theresa Van Spankeren. This is the 4th book in the War of Destiny series and while it can be read as a standalone I believe you will enjoy it much more if you read them all. This is the story of Lane who has been kicked out of his home by the Vampire King, Valentino. Valentino believes that Lane is a true threat to him so not only does he want him out of their home, he wants him dead. Valentino thinks Lane is a threat because of his powers. As Lane becomes very homesick he travels toward Ireland and ends up in Rome. Being discovered Valentino sends two of his members to kill him. This is a fast paced thriller with vampires galore. When you start to read it beware you won’t want to put it down.

This is the first book in the Hidden Valley Elite series and I have been so excited to read it. After reading the prequel Savage Start and meeting Cole and Riley I couldn’t wait to see how their story continued and boy I wasn’t disappointed. The fire and what they believe is hatred between them is off the charts. I don’t think I’ve ever read about a couple with such hate towards one another. However it is easy to see that the hate is just a mask that both wear to protect themselves. Both Riley and Cole have had traumas in their pasts which have shaped the way they are today. Cole who lost his mum has laid all the blame at his dad’s feet, and Riley and her mum are always on the run trying to escape Rileys dad. When they meet get both of their worlds get blown apart when Rileys mum and Coles dad become a couple. Now full of mixed emotions, desire, hate, feelings of being unsafe and vulnerable, Cole’s hate towards his father, they have to try to coexist under the same roof and at the same school. But how long can they both keep pretending? And what happens if the truth comes out?
This is an amazing read filled with pain and revenge but also hope and passion. I definately recommend reading Savage Start first so that you get the complete backstory to out characters and I can’t wait to see where the author is going to take us next.

Beware: This book contains mature content that some readers may find disturbing. 4.5 stars Coming hot off the heels of the prequel Savage Start is the first Book in the Hidden Valley Elite series is Savage Lies. Thankfully this book is 201ish pages so we can get our teeth into this story unlike the prequel which was only 55 pages. Having said that make sure you read the prequel first. This is an enemies-to-lovers, new adult, sports high school bully romance. This is dark and scandalous. Some of my favourite things. Being a high school romance, it is full of angst and drama, dark lies and secrets, jealousy and bullying. It is as intriguing as it is intense, and the fury and hatred is palpable. She thought a new place would hide her truth and secrets but, in a world, where the Elite exists nothing could be farther than the truth. She has made a deadly enemy but she may have lost a battle, but she will not lose the war. He is one of the deadly Elite, the Academy’s football stars, privileged boys who rule on and off the ground. Those who play to win and anyone who stands in their way is taken down. They are playing a dangerous game where lies and lives are at stake. She is now on his radar and revenge is sweet. There are characters you will love to hate and others you will hate to love and others you just want to reduce to ashes. It does end in a cliff-hanger. I can’t wait for Savage Truth. Who will win this war?

This book isn’t my first in this series, as I read the prequel – Savage Start. I loved this follow up. However, this one is not a standalone. I wouldn’t say that you need to read the prequel, but know that this book does not end with any resolution. Rather, it definitely is going to be continued with the second book. This book is the perfect balance of chemistry and animosity. Cole and Riley are such complex characters and their story only continues to get so much more complex. I definitely cannot wait for the next book. I definitely recommend it as it is going to be a beginning piece in an absolutely amazing series!

I can’t wait for the next book to come out! I’m hooked on this series! I read the prequel and now that I have read Savage Lies. I’m so happy! My only issue is it ended so quickly, I need the next book. I want to finish this story! These two characters are amazing. I love how the author has written the animosity as well as chemistry between them. Cole and Riley, what is there to say. There’s so much hate between them. But they can’t stay away from one another. Riley feels Cole is a rich spoiled kid, when in reality Cole has other motives for his hate. Unfortunately for Riley he’s taking it out on her. Cole wants to break her, but she’s stronger than he realizes. He doesn’t know what she came from, but he wants her gone. Especially since she’s now living in his house. Their story doesn’t end in this book, but it does have you on the edge of your seat wanting to know what’s next. What will happen between them? This is the beginning of a series I look forward to reading in its entirety. Two sets of brothers that are cousins, each being coupled into two books as the focus. What else could you ask for? Who else wants to jump on this wagon with me? I guarantee if you like enemies to lovers romances trust me when I say this series is perfect, but they have to be read together. No standalones here.

Libby Kay is at it again! She created another wonderful story set in Buckeye Falls, and this one did not disappoint. Falling For You was sweet and romantic, and was an easy read. I read this book in just a few hours! I definitely recommend it for fans of romance — and who doesn’t love a good food truck and bakery?!

After reading the prequel story I could not wait to start this book. I wanted to read more about these characters and see how their story would develop. This style book is one of my favourites and I think this author does an amazing job with this one. I was hooked from the moment I started reading and I became absorbed with the characters. They have such a strong connection that could be felt in every interaction. This author has a really strong writing style that draws in the reader and it is one that I really enjoy. I really loved reading this book and I cannot wait to read more by this author.

Not really sure where to begin with this review. The book is a walking porn and if you aren’t into that, don’t read it but if you are, absolutely recommend reading it. This is a short story trilogy, where each story interacts with one another.
I was so excited about this one after reading Savage Start. The tension between Cole and Riley builds throughout this book as Cole’s anger toward his father increases. This started a little slow for me and didn’t pick up until about 1/3 of the way through, but once it did I was unable to put it down till I was finished. I will be anxiously awaiting the next book in this series.

This book was a fun little twist. Normally you expect the fall in love after heartbreak and betrayal but you don’t expect it to be with your exes trainer from the gym. This story will make you laugh and even make you mad. It is a short enough book to read in a day but long enough to take a few hours. There are a lot of R rated things though so be warned!
