Suspense and romance This is a good contemporary reverse harem (why choose) romance. I liked Brooklyn and all the guys. Each one had their own personality and it is told in multiple POV which also adds a deeper connection to the characters. There’s also an underlying stalker storyline. This is the first book in The Club Kings series and ends on a cliffhanger. Looking forward to reading book 2.

Falling for You is the second book in the Buckeye Falls Series and is a Contemporary Romance that I pretty much devoured in one sitting. This can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the first book as well if you haven’t already. This is a sweet romance that had me turning the pages trying to figure out what was going to happen next. This is CeCe and Evans story. He’s had a crush on her for a while and he throws out suttle little hints he wants more but she has locked her heart up from past times of being hurt. With a celebrity chef and cooking competition coming to town CeCe’s time is up no more running from her past Can Evan steal her heart and make her see she can love again? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Another incredible gem of a book from this author. A wonderful story following Caspian and his wonderful Grandpa. Every year on his unbirthday his grandpa gives him a special unusual present this year it’s an invisible magic wand.
Frozen By Lies is the first book in the Sleigh Riders series by Martha Sweeney. I was so excited to see that Ms. Sweeney had released this new book, as I have loved her other works- and to find that this is a fantasy was just the icing on the cake for me. Noelle Frost and Nikolaus Klaus take us on a bit of a mad-cap romp- with plenty of eye twinkles, spiked hot chocolate, and cheeky innuendos. With bad blood between their families, their feuding clans are an added complication to romance. But fate has plans for them, and draws them together with a higher agenda at stake. And so their adventure begin It is a fun Urban fantasy- with feuding clans, magic, paranormal elements, a small-town setting, snow, bikers, funny banter/quips/antics, chemistry, fated-mates, family feuds, clean/closed door romance, and insta-love, providing a holiday romance with a fun difference. I enjoyed the story, for the most-part and look forward to seeing where we go from here with the next instalment. The dialogue frustrated me at times with some very ott spoofy innuendos that were overdone (in my opinion). If the innuendos were toned down a few notches, the story would have been much more enjoyable, but as it is they left me frustrated and definitely disrupted the flow of the story for me as I stopped to roll my eyes every few moments. I really wanted to LOVE this story so much more than I did. I had high hopes for this book, but it just didn’t deliver like I had hoped. Maybe the issues I had with it will be sorted by the next instalment- I’m curious to find out. Happy Reading…

I enjoyed this book. The characters each have their own unique personalities that mesh well. The storyline is one of heartbreak and heart-mending. There were some H-O-T bedroom scenes, a stalker ex-boyfriend, and past trauma that has shaped the characters into the people they are today. I am looking forward to the next book in the series!

This was another heartfelt installment into this series. How can these brothers not make you swoon??
When Noah Pierce finds himself as the guardian of a nearly 7 month old baby girl, he knows he is in way over his head. To make it worse, the nanny he hired makes his heart feel things he has not felt or allowed himself to feel in a very long time. As Noah has to make tough choices about the baby’s living arrangements, hearts get broken and secrets get revealed.
The nanny, Amy, falls hard and fast for both Noah and the baby girl. Even she doesn’t realize the extent that her feelings about her past get swirled up into the mix of Noah and baby. When the tough choices get made, Amy realizes that there is so much she has not grieved in her life. Will she be able to find a way past her grief, acknowledge that Noah isn’t the same as the guy in her past, and forgive herself?
There is nothing like a man that can play an instrument and sing. Noah can win me over any time by singing love songs in my general direction. On a side note, this author continues to shine in the way she addresses mental health issues. When Amy determined that she needed professional help to deal with her grief, she sought it, got it, and it was good. Everyone deals with trauma in their own way and this author shows a way of support and non-judgement. Bravo!!
Can we find a lost Pierce Brother or two to continue this series? I hate to see it go. It has been a joy and a pleasure to be their mate (the Aussie kind) throughout this journey.

Streets of Shadow by Rebecca Bischoff is the first book that I have read by this author, but it definitely won’t be the last. It is a young adult/teen historical mystery set in Scotland in 1665, which gives the story an extra element of interest as well as adding some darker tones to the overall storyline. A bit of a coming-of-age story woven through the plot while also providing plenty of suspense, danger, action, adventure, intrigue, murder, tragedy, lies, disease, challenges, and even a touch of romance. Teenage Kenna (15) goes from discovering her sister has been murdered, to being on the run, to then being captured and locked up underground with no means to escape. She could lose all hope, but Kenna is a tough one, and she’s determined to survive and find justice for her sister. What happens makes for a thought-provoking and intriguing read. Ms. Bischoff has brought the 1600’s to life with vivid descriptions and attention to detail. Her story and characters are well-developed and interesting. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more of her stories in the future. Happy Reading…

I am not sure what I was expecting when I started this book but what I got far exceeded my hopes. This book was interesting, easy to fall in love with, well written and such a power packed novel! I would gladly let my kids read it, it was appropriate for older kiddos for sure and showed such perseverance from our MC. Author did an amazing job and kept me on my toes more than once!

Falling for You was the perfect book 2 in this series. Yes I say series, however it works perfectly fine as a standalone novel. This author knows how to hook the audience reading this particular genre. And that makes me a huge fan! CeCe is an independently strong woman who has survived a lot of adversity in life. Especially that of her ex-boyfriend who tried to destroy her life and career because she left him. Why’d she’d leave him? Well that’s an answer you’re going to have to read to find out. Evan sees CeCe and she’s everything he wants. But at the same time he knows it won’t be easy. The walls she’s erected to protect herself and her heart are almost impenetrable, like i said almost. As he gradually chips away he realizes he doesn’t want to let go. But how does she feel about that? So many questions and so few answers. Well maybe if you check this book out you will get all the answers. The character growth was written beautifully, especially for CeCe. Watching it unfold made me happy. When an author writes a strong female character, I will always be on board! Now it’s time for book 3! I need more… lol

This is the third book that I’ve read by this author. I really enjoy her writing style. It’s sweet but realistic. Nothing raunchy. The characters are well developed and relatable. Im so happy Evan got his girl. He’s literally the perfect gentleman and he deserves happiness. I cannot wait for the next book.

This was a great 4 star read. I love dark Mafia reads and this one did not disappoint. My emotions were all over the place. The characters were great, you could feel their connection coming off the pages. Viviana wanted vengeance and Stefano wanted revenge. Will these two coming together help them get what they both want? We get action, steaminess and so much more in this read. I really enjoyed the ending. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. You ever opened a book and gotten a few lines in and just get a chill? Like you know you’re about to go for a wild ride? That’s what happened for me with this book. This author hits some very trigging subjects very well. Triggers aren’t for everyone and that totally fine but I do appreciate how well the author does them. My only real draw back are the flash backs but that’s more of a me hold up than the author so don’t let that stop you. The characters are complex and pulled me in right away. The storyline will keep you on the edge of your seat most of the time. I’m giving this read four stars and highly recommend. Can’t wait to see where this author takes readers next!
(Spoilers) I’ve read a lot of other books by this author, and she’s an author I recommend to a lot of people. I was really excited to start on this book, and it hooked me right from the beginning. Make sure you look at the content warnings before reading this book, as it does have some graphic scenes regarding SH, suicidal ideation, as well as SA and conversations about terminating pregnancies.
As I said, this book had a really strong start- revenge plot, against the MMC’s dad, Mafia romance, dark romance, forced proximity, and instant attraction. However, as the story progressed, I honestly kept disliking the MMC. I’m a fan of red flags waving in the review mirror, but honestly the MMC of this book almost made it hard to enjoy. He treated the FMC like utter trash up until like 90% of the book. And the way he was going to force her to terminate her pregnancy? No ma’am, no ham, no turkey!
I’m not a stranger to dark romances, heck, I’ve read most of the major ones on BookTok, but the way he just kept treating her throughout the book just made me disinterested in the romance sub-plot. The spice is there, but the plot just wasn’t for me. It might be your cup of tea, once again just read the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book, but it wasn’t a book I overly loved. However, I do still recommend this author and her other works! Go check them out!
**READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS** This is my first time reading this author, and I will surely be looking into some of her other works as well. I am not usually drawn to mafia romance, but the trigger warnings made me curious. (And if you DO have triggers, definitely don’t skip past the warnings on this one) Vivianne’s life changes when her best friend is murdered on a trip to New York. Seeking revenge, she infiltrates the mafia scene to seduce (and get close to) the head of the infamous Vaccaro family. Her plans to get close to her enemy seems to be going well….until she meets Nazario, the son of the killer (Stefano). Lucky for her, Nazario knows exactly what type of man Stefano is, and also wants his father dethroned. The two fight their passion for each other, but inevitably things get rather complicated as they give in to their love. I loved the characters and the plot, and how quickly this book was able to draw me in. Deadly Intentions is very dark and has plenty of twisted pages to keep you on edge, and if you can get past the hard parts, is definitely recommended.
I was super excited for this 2nd book in the series to come out with Walt and Elyse’s story. This could be read as a standalone, but I highly highly highly recommend reading the first book before diving into book 2. The author did NOT disappoint and I can say this story gave me all the feels…….there is no doubt the attraction and love that Walt and Elyse have and I am all in….and how can you resist a broody man!

I was so excited to get to read Falling for You, the second book in the Buckeye Falls series, and it did not disappoint! This can definitely be read as a standalone story, but I would absolutely recommend reading book 1 Falling Home as both CeCe and Evan are in book 1. Evan is just such a perfect rom com book boyfriend; he is sexy, smart, sweet, caring and just overall a wonderful guy. CeCe was such a great character and her character’s growth was so incredible to see. I loved getting to meet Evan’s family and I loved how CeCe handled meeting them all! It was wonderful getting to see Max and Ginny again as well. I just love Natalie’s character and it looks like she will be getting her own story in book 3! Overall it’s a well written story, and I can’t wait to see what will happen next in Buckeye Falls.

The fact that this is a mafia romance, dark and disturbing moments are expected. Definitely read the author’s note to make sure this isn’t a book you bit off more than you could chew. If you decide to move forward and give it a shot you will definitely be rewarded in the amazing masterpiece this book is.

This is definitely a dark and twisty book with lots of romance, intrigue, mystery, and violence that will have you rooting for Nazario and Vivianne as they try to overcome the despicable Stefano. If you like mafia romances then definitely give this one a try you won’t regret it but definitely take the author’s warning to heart. As some dark moments may be uncomfortable to get through.

When the kingdom is attacked, she must make some choices that are not all about her. This was a delightful fairytale story.

This was a YA historical story that I thought was an interesting read. Full of mystery and murder and kidnapping. It was a bit a a thriller and a few parts of the story i was on the edge of my seat. It was well written and I enjoyed this one enough that i will def read more by this author in the future. If you like historical novels with suspense, than this one is for you! Happy Reading!

I am never disappointed by Anise Storm’s books, and this one is certainly no different! I really loved the amount of depth for each character as they each brought something to the story that felt necessary. I didn’t feel weighed down by details that could’ve easily been left out. I enjoyed the darkness of the story, but as always, the trigger warnings are deeply appreciated. Deadly Intentions is emotionally charged, full of revenge, and plenty of incredibly steamy scenes. Reading about Viviana’s elaborate quest for revenge elicits plenty of emotion…and not all negative by a long shot. I highly recommend picking this one up and giving it a chance because Anise is a brilliant author that has delivered yet another exhilarating story!
Ayyyy caramba – spicy spicyyyy! From beginning to end. Jack and Hawke unknowingly both have the same intention on a night out before big days / life sets in. The sparks and chemistry starts to soar and they have a wild wilddd night. Of course who wouldn’t want more?? I need and want more of this story! It was a short, sweet, spicy hell of novel. Trust that you won’t regret it. Hoping to read more from Themis author in the future! 🔥 🌶️

Falling for You is the second book in the Buckeye Falls series. It can be enjoyed as a standalone if you don’t mind getting a few spoilers for Falling Home! It follows CeCe and Evan who have both ended up working at the same diner. They have feelings for each other, but CeCe has a rule against dating coworkers. This is an enjoyable book for anyone who enjoys a culinary romance! Evan is such a sweet character – I love all the things he does to stay close with his sisters, who are themselves great characters, particularly Mallory! It’s also an uplifting story, with CeCe learning to face the past she has been running from and overcome the pain she still carries. It’s great seeing how her community are there for her when things are tough. This book gets five stars from me! A great comfort read. I would recommend keeping snacks in reach as the descriptions of food in this will definitely make you hungry…
