I thought this was a super cute beach romance and I especially love knowing it’s a series! Thanks to her sister, Hope ends up the unlikely owner of a dive resort- and she has zero interest of learning to dive! Until she meets the stoic, very attractive dive instructor. Erin Brockus did a great job creating a believable set of characters you want to become friends with (well, most of them, anyway. Some of those resort guests are also very realistic, in the not friendly way) and definitely made me want to learn how to dive! Engaging story, easy to read, and just the right amount of romance. Looking forward to book 2!

This book seriously started out cute and calm, then all hell broke loose. Get ready for non stop trials and twists for the closeted badass main character, Selene. In the beginning, Selene is happy with her life and her man, Rayden. On a day that started out normal as usual, it quickly spun into something beyond chaotic. The world shook, she witnessed the immediate death of a coworker and lost contact with Rayden.

Quickly Selene realizes that she must make a run for safety and finds herself and another young lady having to hide from what they assume are Warrior type beings that are taking women hostage. She wonders why she has not seen any males taken.

You’ll find yourself emerged into the strangest circumstances that will give you creepy underground tunnels and bunker vibes with a twist. Combat training, underwater competitions, a disgusting choice for delicacies for sustenance and so much more.

The dystopian aspect of the world building reminded me a bit of Mad Max, maybe a bit of hunger games and the scary bits of every single horror book by the king of horror. You will be highly entertained, scared and a bit grossed out from page to page. I think all fans of this genre will find themselves staying up a bit late to finish up one more chapter as long as the lights stay on!

I give this 4 out of 5 stars.

This was a great 5 star read. I really liked the storyline and the characters. The author’s writing pulls you right in and sends your emotions all over the board. This is Kellan King’s story and he is a true bad boy. Kellan has a little vacation fling that ends up being a big twist and fate brings her back into his life. Will she be able to help him with his reputation?
Overall this was a great read. We got suspense, drama, steaminess and so much more. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. This is book two in the series but you can read it as a stand alone. But I suggest starting with book one so that you get to know the other characters that you see in this book. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

No One Could See the Flea is a cute children’s book that children of any age can enjoy. My son is six and got a big kick out of all the kids and their ideas on how to get rid of the Flea they couldn’t see. The illustrations were fun and colorful and helped bring the story to life. We loved how all Jacks friends tried helping with getting rid of the flea. They all worked together to try and help shank. Did he have a flea or just an itch? We highly recommend reading this book and look forward to reading more from this Author.

Master Bistrita is Book 11 in the Master of the Consulate series and I continue to love this series so much. I definitely recommend reading this series from the beginning as each book builds on the characters and also the fight against the evil rogues. Getting lost in the story, Sylvia does an excellent job of luring me in with Vampire Masters, rogues, witches, suspense, danger, betrayals but also spice and everything nice. This story really took me on a roller coaster and anticipation and definitely did not disappoint…

Master Bistrita is a dominant vampire and very loyal. Meeting his match in Chara, he never though it would come down to fated mates. When danger lurks even right next to them….the fight to survive is only the beginning of Bistrita and Chara….

I cannot wait to see what the final book brings….

I finished it in 24 hours. I didn’t want to put it down. Morgan is great character showing strength and perseverance with everything she endured in only a couple of weeks time span. Aunt Nim’s “bed time story” wasn’t just a fairytale after all.

This was a very quick read. Not my usual genre but I was drawn to it and knowing it wasn’t a long book made me more willing to take the risk and I’m glad I did.

Ivy and Falcon have a deep love, but something causes problems in their relationship. I would have liked a little more of a back story and how they got them to where they were.

I was able to get this read during my lunch break with time to spare. If you find yourself looking for something to keep you busy for a short time i would suggest looking into it.

Wrecked: The Merciless Few

I’m very picky when it comes to my MC reads. I have been burned a few times in the past, throw in the fact that Ms. Courtney is a new to me author I was hesitate, but something peaked my interest. When I find a series I like I go all in and will read them all. The Merciless Few has joined the must read them all.

The first to fall is Reaper and as with most books and real life it happens when he wasn’t looking for or expecting love. He is fresh from a relationship that didn’t end well and had no interest.

Avi and Raven bring out his protective side and help him heal, but they also help him heal.

I loved each and every member we were introduced to in this book and I can’t wait for the next one. I have it’s release date in my calendar.

This is part of the Game Time Series. This is a sports romance which is full of twists and turns and a path to romance which is anything but smooth. This author does an incredible job with the characters making them unique but relatable which really helps me connect to them and feel invested in their story. As you can imagine with this as a sports romance it does have a focus on the game which highlights the passion for the sport and all the positive or negative things that accompany being a player.

Chessly’s dream is to work with athletes and not date them. As she watches her friends getting paired off with players she really doesn’t see the appeal until she meets Finn McCabe. There is just something about him that draws her in but she is determined to resist especially when she sees proof that he is a player off as well as on the pitch.

Finn McCabe fell for Chessly as soon as he spent time with her. However when one of the jersey chasers shows up just as he is about to make his move it blows his chance with Chessly.
Now he is determined to win her back. This isn’t going to be easy but he is determined to do whatever it takes. With Finn’s determination off the field matching his determination on the field how long will Chessly be able to fight against her attraction and their chemistry?

This was a great read and a story that I could fully immerse myself in. I couldn’t help but cheer Finn on as he fights for the woman he wants against all odds thrown at him. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Hope Collins has had her eyes open that her life is stagnate, the signs were all there but until everything clicked into place Hope realizes that it is time for a change. She makes a drastic change, perhaps fate played a hand but she is both nervous and excited about her new journey. What she is not ready for is Dive Instructor Alex Monroe. Hope feels connected to Alex but with all the turmoil surrounding the changes at the resort she is now running, Hope is reluctant to take a chance. Close proximity plays a hand and soon they cannot stop the feelings growing around them. Can both Alex and Hope work together to put the past in the past and move towards a future together?

I enjoyed this one quite a bit. I really enjoyed Hope finding herself and starting her new journey. I thought this was inspiring and was rooting for Hope finding her happy. Alex is a bit of a mystery initially but I was drawn to his character the chemistry was wonderful between Alex and Hope, look forward to the next book.

This is a new author to me and I’m definitely going to check out what other books they have written. The characters are developed and creative and made the story come to life. The storyline flowed so well that I couldn’t put it down. This a fast paced story about what happens on the other side of the door might not be what it seems. She had previously proven her propensity to successfully embark and resolve investigations like this one. However, should her case ruffle the feathers of the unsavory world rumbling barely visible to the bare eye of society, her and/or her family could fall victim to the perpetrators. Initially her father expressed concern that she may try to look into the matter but quickly assessed that he cannot control a strong minded, independent young woman. Neferet’s character is one that will resonate with readers who were ever underestimated, ignored, etc due to age, sex, and/or beauty. I loved her dog Brute, a large mastiff due to my love of the breed and understanding of their beautiful personalities and intense protectiveness. I also enjoyed how Neferet’s family appeared rather close and they all depended upon one another. She had the support of her husband, Ptah-mes, as well as Maya, Hani, Mom, Pop, Meyer-ra, Pa-kiki to name a few. How could I forget uncle Pipi who as usual landed himself in a very precarious situation that the family was unfortunately quite used to. The deeper they dive into the problem, the sketchier things appear. While they try to get to the bottom of things, they need to be extremely careful and cautious.”
Great story line, great characters, unique story, cannot wait to read the next one. I give this book 4 stars.

This is book 3 in the Predator series and if you haven’t read the first two books, I highly suggest that you do so you have some background information. Each of the characters for these books are introduced in other books in the series. I tend to enjoy that when reading a series because you get glimpses of what might be coming next or you get to see your favorite characters living their lives. This book is a super quick read not only because it is just a book you don’t want to put down but also because it is a shorter book or seemed that way to me. Before, I go into why this book is amazing please do take note that you don’t have to read the other two books in the series before this one, as it is considered a stand alone. So if you do read this one, first just know that the other books in the series are just as good and you won’t be disappointed when you read them. This book has passion, drama, secrets, character baggage, love, and triumph. There is a past that helped shape one of the characters and they have to figure out if they can overcome that in order to have a fulfilling life of love that they deserve. You will find yourself feeling all the emotions of the characters. You will be rooting for them as they figure things out. You will finish this books feeling at peace with everything that happened and how things ended. The being said I am not going to give anything away. You will find out yourselves when you read this book. I can’t wait for more in this series. They are so good.

Intriguing characters with such a quirky and unique story really made for an entertaining read.

The Veil was an adrenaline filled story from start to finish with plenty of twists and turns. Selene is ripped away from her life and thrust into a completely unknown world with an alien race, after climatic events. I highly enjoyed how original the story was and enjoyed reading how Selene would overcome the challenges she is faced with. It remained me of War of the Worlds. It is a survival story with an unknown alien threat. I was confused when the perspective changes without warning a few times throughout the story. Overall it is worth the read and look forward to the next book in the series.

Falling Down is the first book in the Rockstar series by new-to-me author Anne Mercier. It is a contemporary, New Adult, rockstar romance- with chemistry, sizzle, drama, and banter.
When this popped up as a recommended book, I snapped up a copy with the hope of losing myself in a great story. But, unfortunately, I just couldn’t find my ‘groove’ with this book. I really wanted to love Jesse and Lucy and get completely wrapped up in them and their story- BUT I just couldn’t connect.
The dialogue felt forced to me, and somewhat awkward- so that put me off right away. I just felt like this story could have been so much MORE- I felt like there was something missing- and while it was quite steamy, it seemed to me to be lacking the emotion, angst, drama, and development that I was looking for.
But this is just my opinion, so if you love rockstar romance with plenty of sizzle- then maybe you should grab yourself a copy and decide for yourself- as plenty of others have absolutely loved this book.
There are 18+ books in the Rockstar series, so I am hoping that if I continue with the series that things will finally ‘click’ for me.

First time reader of this author Barbara Barnett. I found the cover very intriguing. I had to give it a go. Although historical reads aren’t my top fave, this book had so much more than just that. It also has romance, fantasy,and mystery. I was happy I started reading this story.Barnett’s strength lies in her detailed and immersive world-building. The historical setting is meticulously researched, creating a vivid and authentic atmosphere. The characters are well-developed, particularly the protagonist, whose internal struggles and moral dilemmas add depth to the narrative. The dialogue is sharp, and the interplay between the historical and fantastical elements is handled with skill.i cant wait to check out more of this author and more of this world.

The second book in the King Brothers series but this is my first read in the series. I was not at all lost as to what was going on and would totally call this a stand alone. Kellen is all business but when it comes to pleasure he is all about the fun with absolutely no strings attached. He wants nothing serious and makes it known. But will his fun come back around to bite him?
Well written and this story makes you really feel how deeply wronged Kellen was. I love Kellen and Salem as people and even more as a couple. I adore their initial meet and the end of the book.

Love, love, love this series already. This was my introduction to the outstanding A.D. Brazeau’s work, and I cannot wait to read more. The dual perspectives of Greer and Theron, Blood & Ravens transports you into history with a twist.
Greer was an orphan but was told her mother was in Paris. At age twenty to finally took her fate into her own hands, leaving England for Paris to find her mother and finding her place in the world. She has “dreams” about a dark knight and the need to unravel the mystery of who he is and what he looks like. Until the night that changed everything, and she woke up on a ship in the middle of the ocean headed for another continent. Theron once was a prince in the underworld until Persephone’s flirting got him banished by Hades. While he is different from the creatures he is forced to work for and with his bosses’ big plans it’s time to leave France and go to America. Greer finds herself in the hull of a ship with at least forty girls but unlike them she and a handful of others did not volunteer they were taken. In the terrible situation she finds a group with four others, one of which is just like her, taken and forced to be in this new place, their fates taken from them. Having made land Theron must continue with the next phase of the plans and feels with his boss Rook half a world away it is his place to take the lead in the transition to New Orleans. He has moments, he’s getting too invested into his “little rabbit” until the unimaginable in his life he finds softness, warmth and love risking everything to help her and her friends. Given no choice Greer risks everything to make a deal with Hades himself to help Theron and her friends.
What will happen to Greer? Does she succeed in saving those she cares about? While the world may not be completely based in reality, the interjection of historical information mixed with the paranormal makes this book golden. Having seen the Old Ursuline Convent in person when I finally went to New Orleans this book captured it perfectly. The twists of not only Theron’s being and origin but that of vampyrs in general in this world were a refreshing twist. I truly cannot wait to jump into book two, Blood & Vengeance to see Desiree’s story and see what happens next with Greer and Theron.

Wow, what a good romantic suspense read. Tessa, who started a bakery that has done so much better than she originally thought, until she starts being stalked of course, and James, a private investigator that she is hoping will be able to put an end to it. What they didn’t foresee coming, and are not particularly thrilled about, was their attraction to each other. This is book two of the London Detective Agency Series, I haven’t read book one, but I was still able to enjoy this book. Be My Little Baby had great flow, and I loved the twists, turns, and suspense throughout the novel, and I really liked the well developed, lifelike characters.

This is the first delightful book in the Guardians of Camelot series by Sarah Biglow. It is a well-developed and imaginative paranormal romance tale with witches, warriors, fae, dragons, royalty, portals, and more.
“Her Sapphire Blade” is the story of Morgan, an urban fantasy mixed with Arthurian myth—a legendary figure Arthur and Camelot to be exact. Morgan is anything but a typical woman. Amongst all the madness, Morgan has strength, smarts, and hope but little magic. Anything and everything she does can and will go wrong. She must learn who she is and how to wield her magic. She is a very entertaining character, and I enjoyed seeing her come into her own.

An exciting and intriguing journey is what you will find between these pages as Morgan returns to a place that she has known as only legend, to a realm she once belonged. There are many perils along the way in this action-packed adventure—betrayal, deception, threats, danger, secrets, lies, drama, but there is also love, mischief, and a little mayhem.
Sarah has done a fantastic job weaving this wonderful tale and drawing readers into this magical world.
This was a great start to the series. I look forward to seeing what this talented author does next. Beware: there is a cliffhanger.

This is another exciting contemporary romance book in the contemporary romance book in the NA Game Time college sports series, featuring the Wildcats college football team. Having read many of Tam’s books, I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every one. Tam excels in the sports romance genre, particularly in providing multiple points of view, which offers insight into characters not often explored in other books.
“Offsides” encompasses the usual mix of emotions – angst, drama, and humour, while also exuding sensuality, passion, and heat. The electric chemistry between the characters is palpable, infusing the romance with wit and intensity, mirroring the dynamics of new relationships and high-pressure games. This delightful story of Finn and Chessly is a must-read and my favourite in the series thus far. Everyone wants to win at something.
I’m eagerly anticipating the next book in the series, as always.
As always, I look forward to what comes next.
