This book was a great fantasy romance, one of my favorite styles to read. Nicole E. Kelleher has a way with words that paint a picture of excitement, intrigue, and of course romance. The characters of the book are created with expertise, they are so dynamic, that you feel strongly about who you like and who you distrust. This book had me on the edge of my seat, I couldn’t put the book down the second I picked it up, I was encompassed with the characters’ circumstances and needed to know the outcome of their stories. If you love magic, romance, passion, war, and deep storylines then this is the story for you! I am so excited that there is more to come in this story and am looking forward to the next edition to this series. @Brandy Rymer 09/2023

Kelleher – Review by Brandy Rymer
This book was just amazing! It gave everything that was promised, passion, fear, tears, laughter, and a happily ever after at the end with a twist that is true to Isla Vaughn’s style! I absolutely love that each book in the series builds upon the books that came before them. There is no doubt where the past main characters are in their lives because they continue to be side characters among the newest mains. This book was one of my favorites so far in this series, why you may ask, because it gives us so much more of a view into the past and ties together mysteries that we have been wondering about for this entire series. There are so many unexpected scenes that entice the reader to continue reading in anxiousness, not knowing what may happen next to the characters. I loved and hated the cliffhanger this book ended with, I am so excited to get the next books in this series and see what the outcome will be! If you have not read any of the other books in this series, stop, go back to the beginning, and start with the prequels, you will be happy that you did! I highly recommend this series to young adults and up, there is mature content in the books, but it’s very toned down compared to a lot of romance books I have read. @Brandy Rymer 09/2023

Lies – Truth – Love by Marina Hanna was an amazing romantic story about a woman (Olivia) in need of a fake date to her cousin’s wedding to appease her mother who got way more than she bargained for. While going through speed dates on her lunch break, all set up by her friend who works in the local gym, they are not going well at all. The Viagra date guy was the last straw, that’s when a good-looking mysterious man (Ethan) stepped up and pretended to be Olivia’s bodyguard. After another bad date, Ethan steps up and volunteers to be Olivia’s fake boyfriend for the wedding. Olivia and Ethan have instant chemistry but are both in denial of their true feelings when problems arise. Will these two be able to overcome all of the lies and misunderstandings that they continue to cause for the other, or will they call it quits and walk away from each other? The author did a great job of creating an environment that is so realistic that you can create a mental picture of what’s happening all around you. The emotions are so thick, that you feel so drawn to each of the characters as they spin a tale of their point of view. I love to read books where you get to see both main characters viewpoints of the same situation, or overlapping situations so that you can understand where each is coming from and why they feel the way they do. I am looking forward to reading more romance books from Marina Hanna. @Brandy Rymer 09/2023

What an amazing romantic fantasy that Meredith Hart has created in a wonderful world of never-ending possibilities. Our two main characters are complete opposites of one another, and that is what makes their romance so much sweeter! Rowan Undervale is from the Wolds Below where they have the Kingdom Fall. He is an odd character with amazing magic like no other, as he is the only child born in the Worlds Below, where everything is covered in snow and ice, and very little grows there. They have orbs of light that shine during the day so they can see, but at night everything goes dark, there are no stars to be seen. He and his big brother Phaedron are orphans and of a lowly class, hence they live in the outer region away from the Crystal City where everything still grows in luscious greenery. Lady Arryn on the other hand is from the Wolds Above, where they have the Kingdom Summer. It is beautiful there, the night sky is filled with the stars, and everything is surrounded by sunshine and fresh air. The people there are golden from all of their time in the sunshine. Lady Arryn is of high class and is bred to marry the Prince of the Kingdom Fall once he asks for her hand in marriage. There is only one problem, her prince has disappeared into the Worlds Below, and Arryn takes it upon herself to rescue him. This is why she meets Rowan, and their adventures begin together, learning through their trials and tribulations to depend upon one another and get to know about the other’s world and how life is so different for each of them. What an amazing read this was, the main characters have so much personality, you can feel the tension so thick, that you could cut it with a knife. The plot of the story kept me on the edge of my seat awaiting what could happen next to these characters, and would they be able to survive one another’s company? This book is the first of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone, I don’t advise stopping after this book but continue reading the series because there are so many more adventures ahead with our other characters. @Brandy Rymer 09/2023

I love a good mystery series, and this gave me everything I wanted and more. Winter Austin is a genius when it comes to writing mystery books, she pulls you into the story right from the very beginning and starts making you doubt every single character that you read about, wondering who the killer may be. This book was fantastic, in the fact that it had me guessing throughout the story who the suspects were, and questioning if the suspects could be involved in both the bank robberies, the murder of the police officer as well as the small-town robberies. I loved getting to know Cassie more as well as getting an inside look into the inner workings of Boyd’s mind. I was so happy to see that we get to continue the story of our two lovebirds from the first book in this series as well as meet some new characters that had not been introduced as of yet. The intensity of this storyline was amazing, I am so excited to get started on the next book and see what lies ahead for our characters that we have learned to love. If you’re looking for a good mystery novel with suspense, romance, angst, family drama and so much more, this is the series for you! @Brandy Rymer 09/2023

Cat Treadgold outdid herself with this second book in The Olympic Peninsula series. In this book we get to meet Liam and learn about his whereabouts when he was presumably dead, Ali’s long-lost twin. The love story could not have happened for anyone better than the love interest that the author has for Liam, especially after all of the trials that he had faced in his time abroad. No matter how much he fights the temptation to allow this young woman into his life, he soon finds that protecting her safety doesn’t allow for him to hold her at arm’s length. This book is primarily focused on Seattle and Port Townsend, both cities in Washington state. The author did an amazing job combining the beauty of Port Townsend, with the gorgeous scenery of the other cities surrounding this small town to draw the reader into the simple beauty of small-town life and the joys that one can find in escaping the big city life. This was another masterpiece of writing; the characters are so well-developed that you cannot help but cry over their heartbreak and cheer over their successes in life and love. This is a wonderful addition to this book series and cannot wait for the next book to continue the story of these families. @Brandy Rymer 09/2023

Cat Treadgold is an amazing author, who has a knack for weaving a tale that will have you guessing the outcome at every turn! This romance novel takes place in a small area of Washington state. The beauty that she describes in her book is so breathtaking and so surreal, it’s like a paradise where people can go to hide away from the world, which is exactly what country star, Joe, was seeking after having surgery that required him to remain silent. The atmosphere of this entire book was just so realistic, it was as if the author was telling someone’s story that she’d been a part of. I love how easily the story flowed, and all the ups and downs. It was exciting, as well as a thrill ride to see who Joe would end up with. The sweet, down-to-earth girl of his dreams, Ali, who happened to stumble upon Joe out of the blue while recovering from his throat surgery, or his on-again-off-again wild ride of a girlfriend who was also his duet partner. The second you start this series; you are not going to want to stop so be prepared to hop on the roller coaster ride this book promises to give, because you won’t be disappointed. @Brandy Rymer 09/2023

I love that each of the books in the Masters of the Consulate Book series are all standalone books, yet they build upon the whole of the storyline. Currently, I’ve read book 6 and book 7 and now want to go back to the beginning and read through the entire series before book 8 comes out. I am so intrigued by the story of how each Vampire Master has met their amazing mates! Sylvia Black is one of the best authors we have today when it comes to writing about the different mythical creatures of the world, including witches, vampires, shapeshifters (werewolves), telepathies, and so much more. The way that she has developed this world that normally is against one another’s races are drawn to comingle one with another is so awesome. If you are into reading a good paranormal book, with romance, drama, and a battle of good vs. evil, then this is a series that you will not want to miss. The characters are so dimensional, and the fact that you get to experience the storyline from both the male and female main character’s point of view is just ingenious. @Brandy Rymer 09/2023

C.L. Schneider has done it again!! So much detail put in without it being distracting or boring. Every detail matters. I thoroughly enjoyed this next leg in Jarryd and Ian’s journey across the lands. So much more growth as characters and relationships and it all ties into the original series. Absolutely loved it!

I absolutely love reading Vaughn’s Hidden Valley Elite series, it is my favorite series I’ve read in a long time! The real-life situations that these characters get themselves into, and the way that they handle them just is phenomenal. This is the continuation of Phoenix and Aspen’s tale of an unexpected pregnancy resulting from a one-night together. It is so endearing to watch how their strong personalities continue to clash against each other, as they are both rather self-centered characters, each feeling that their situation is beyond what they can control or handle. Yet if they would both develop open communication, they would realize how much they need to depend on each other. This book was so hard to put down, it kept me reading all day today, I just couldn’t put it down from the second I opened it. I am so anxious to see what the outcome will be in the next book from the horrendous cliffhanger that we are left with! My heart aches to read the finale of Phoenix and Aspen’s tale. If you’ve read any of the books in this series, make sure that you go in order, because each book builds upon the next, and you do not want to miss out on anything! I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested and loves reading enemy-to-lovers romances. @Brandy Rymer 09/2023

Schneider does it again with this hauntingly dark fantasy novel. I could not put this down; I was so excited to reconnect with Ian and Jarryd to see where their adventures would take them next. The ever-troublesome duo gets into yet another frightening experience when Jarryd sits to play what he thinks is an ordinary gambling house. He sure gets a rude awakening when he and Ian are both drawn into yet another sticky situation fighting for life and death once again. This story is so action-packed, you will be drawn in and cannot help getting invested in each of the character’s trials as they fight to win the game. What will the consequences be, for sure it’s a lot more than money that they are gambling for. The settings are so ingeniously portrayed that you will become a part of this great adventure as you battle right alongside our two main characters. @Brandy Rymer 09/2023

I love this new series by Austin, it has everything that I want in a book. It’s a romantic thriller with a mystery needing to be solved. The new characters are so dynamic, in the fact that they are well developed with each having their backstory and connections to one another. It was so educational to read about and learn to gain a deeper understanding of what our returnees of the military go through with PTSD. I was drawn into the mystery of the story right from the start, feeling compelled to follow along the tragic life of Nic and her past as it comes back to haunt her. This is one series you will want to start at this book, Book 1 of The McIntire County Series because you will not want to miss any of the insights into the mentality of the characters. I am so excited to get started on the next book in this series. @Brandy Rymer 09/2023
