I love this new series by Austin, it has everything that I want in a book. It’s a romantic thriller with a mystery needing to be solved. The new characters are so dynamic, in the fact that they are well developed with each having their backstory and connections to one another. It was so educational to read about and learn to gain a deeper understanding of what our returnees of the military go through with PTSD. I was drawn into the mystery of the story right from the start, feeling compelled to follow along the tragic life of Nic and her past as it comes back to haunt her. This is one series you will want to start at this book, Book 1 of The McIntire County Series because you will not want to miss any of the insights into the mentality of the characters. I am so excited to get started on the next book in this series.
