This is the final book in the the Hidden Valley Elite series. What an amazing end to this knock-out series! This author truly put their all into the characters, with their intrigue and personalities all being so unique; I love how all of these books can be read as stand alones just as well as back to back. Winter and Shane faced their own ghosts, healed from their past traumas, and steamed things up between the two of them. This book was very hard to put down. I highly recommend reading this book.

Mission Target (Jake Wolfe Thrillers Book 7) by Mark Nolan- 5 out of 5 stars
This is the seventh book in this dynamic series. The bond that Cody and Jake have is undeniable. This is my first time reading a book from this author so I will definitely need to go back and and read from the beginning. I look forward to reading the books prior to this one as well as any that the author may come out with. I highly recommend this series.

Second book in this series and Sparky is back only this time she is dealing with a cannibal that has sophisticated tastes. With such great attention to detail, this author time travels you back to 1930’s Los Angeles. You truly feel like you are sleuthing right alongside Sparky. I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next. I highly recommend this book.

This book had an interesting dynamic about it. The main characters trauma bonded in a way, healed eachother some how, and then fell in love. The plot and storyline are well written. Overall, this is pretty good and I look forward to reading the next. I highly recommend this book.

The Cold Kid Case – A Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery by Rosalind Barden- 4 out of 5 stars
My first read from this author and I am pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It revolves around an 11 year old named Sparky who is accused of murder. Sparky has to stay undercover to be able to clear her name, but can she do it? I love books that are in a historical setting but this one has a great storyline and attention to detail as well. I highly recommend this book.

Secrets at the Café is a suspenseful mystery with drama, suspense, secrets, lies, rumors, death, loss, grief, and family relationships. The story centers around the character of Karina who has promised her grandmother that she will look after her café after she passes away. This involves Karina moving back to her small hometown and completely upheaving her life, but she loved her grandmother dearly and will do anything to ensure she follows through on the promise she made. Part of the promise Karina made to her grandmother involves reading a journal her grandmother left behind. However, before she has a chance to read it the journal completely disappears. Rumors are circulating around town about a hidden stash of money so everyone is a suspect. Slay It With A Diamond is Book Three in The Diamond District Mystery Series. It is a cozy mystery with drama, suspense, action, danger, secrets, lies, humor, and witty banter. The story is set in New York City’s Diamond District and centers around the character of Mimi who is an amateur sleuth. Mimi used to be a journalist and loves a good mystery that she can delve into. As she digs into the mystery behind a cursed diamond she uncovers long-buried secrets, family feuds, and scandals that put her life in danger. A great read that takes Mimi into the cutthroat world of diamonds and how sinister it can be. The characters are quirky, and Mimi is someone that can be simultaneously smart and somewhat naive. Her boyfriend seems to help her remain focused and grounded. An entertaining read with twists and turns that will compel you to read to the end.

Hope For a New World is Book One in The Hope Series. It is a sci-fi fantasy that contains the underlying message about protecting the environment. The story is told from the POV of several characters that are easy to get emotionally invested with due to their strength, courage, and determination to save mother earth. The earth has been destroyed by power, corruption, greed, and pollution. One group of strong women sets off on a mission to heal mother earth. This book had an intriguing storyline with fantasy, action, suspense, and a strong underlying message about climate change. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading Book Two.

Oh how I enjoy these stories. They are perfect for the middle school age group. The middle-schoolers in the stories are such a fun group. There are few that can see the ghosts which makes it even more entertaining. I loved the mystery they had this time. The writing is perfect. The characters are well-developed for the audience written to. I recommend this series to the upper elementary to middle-school crowd.

What a beautiful love story. Two people heading out West with basically their faith in God. I found this a wonderful story with it’s faith intertwined in the story. Dorothy and Elias are both strong characters that go through a lot and come together in this beautiful story. I love strong writing that is big on faith and inspirational. Those are two items found in this story. Elias does a lot of preparation for this trip to make sure it his calling. Dorothy kind of flew by the seat of her pants, not by her choice. The story showed us that God works in miraculous ways. I recommend this one.

Carrie found a pair of antique wings that used to be her Grandmothers. I found it fascinating how the story built around the movement of birds in flight. This story was about starlings. It was also about sharing memories with generational memories. Every book this author writes is always fascinating because there is a little tidbit in there about family. This is a science learning book about Starlings. I found out some new tidbits about Starlings in the information section included at the end of the story. A beautiful story that I recommend for any home with children.

This book is such a great way to get into the holiday spirit if you aren’t already or to embrace the holiday spirit more than you already are. This is the collaboration of 11 short stories all centered on the holiday spirit. I wasn’t quite sure what to think when I started reading because of the different authors. Each author has their own writing style and even though this book is composed of short stories, I just didn’t know if it would flow like it a normal book. I was incredibly impressed. The book flowed from story to story but it also had the feel of the same author writing each story. It was a really quick read because of the short stories. I felt like I was on an adventure and making new friends with each story. I highly recommend this book if you are looking to just get lost in a story but maybe not have the time to commit to a full book. These short stories allow for you to leave and come back. I however, couldn’t put it down and kept reading till it was on the last page.
This is the 8th book, but the 2nd book in Shane’s duet. I have said this before and I will say it again from the roof tops, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this entire series. I am NOT ready to say goodbye. Every single character in the entire series is super relatable, and even their experiences are as well. You do not need to read the other 6 books, but I highly do recommend that you do as that they are all wonderful in their own unique ways and it also heightens the experience for the rest of the books in the series, including this one. This book definitely is an amazing way to end the duet, and the series as a whole.
Now, on to this book specifically. I adore Shane, he has always been one of the characters I just CRAVE to know more about. Winter also captured my heart immediately. There is plenty of chemistry, angst, drama GALORE, love as well as hate, revelations, family, and of course just the right amount of some mystery!
This is not a lovey-dovey type of romance it is a bully romance; I repeat A BULLY romance. Please check the trigger warnings if you have any.
Throughout the book, Winter and Shane seem to be both not necessarily “stuck in the past”, but most definitely dealing with trauma that happened in the past. For Shane, it is his father, who wanted nothing to do with the boys (him and his brother) for years, until recently. But now, it seems the reoccurring theme with his dad is – MONEY. Winter’s sister, Summer, was supposedly drowned by her mother. Winter’s mind has been blocked and she’s begun to wonder if there is more to what really happened. That is until recently she has been remembering more and more about what happened to her.
Winter is almost abducted, and everything just gets M-E-S-S-Y! While Shane is dealing with his greedy Grandfather who wants Shane to pay a steep price for money assistance. Money that his father is asking from him, putting him in a horrible position in order to get the money.
The two finally come together, to help figure out who has targeted her and why?
This book, and the first part of the duet, will have you falling in love with both of their stories. The character development is amazing. The plots themselves are outstanding and not typical. This is a series that I will continue to reread over and over again. The characters will always live rent free in my brain! The book and the series are highly addictive, and you won’t want to wait a minute until you have read it to completion!

What a fascinating story. I loved the shapeshifting aspect to it. The historical part of the story was similar to Tuck Everlasting, as had been recommended. I have never read that book. I did find this story attention keeping, able to draw me in and quite intriguing. I found the characters to be developed very well. The detail was good. It’s a story that I’ll read to my grandson when he’s a little older. I believe it’ll grab his attention.

There are some truly entertaining tales found in this book. I found alien tales to paranormal. There’s a little of everything. I loved them all because they made me chuckle. It was the perfect read to start the holiday season off with. It isn’t something I would normally have picked up and I am truly glad that the book was recommended to me. I am now recommending it to romance lovers out there. It’s a wonderful holiday read full of short romance reads that are perfect to fill time whether you’re at home or maybe waiting at an appointment, etc. Go ahead, hit that One-Click, you won’t be sorry.
This is an amazing read. I love the you don’t have to wait long for the next book in a duet. The fact that this is both books in one makes it so, so, so much better. This book has everything from suspense to steam. I am all about a few really hot bodyguards falling in love. Since they are body guards I both books, you can imagine that there are going to be twists and turns that you don’t see coming. I love when a book can make me think a certain thing is going to happen and then completely blows me out of the water when it doesn’t. I couldn’t put this down until I was done reading it. It has me getting angry along with the characters, shocked by some events, chewing my nails trying to figure out what is gonna happen next, and fanning my face because the heat just pours off the pages. If you like fast paced, jaw dropping stories, this book is for you. If you don’t want to wait to get the next book, this book is for you. I honestly read it and it felt like it was just a continuation, even though there was a focus on other characters. It is seamlessly written and is definitely going to be an author I keep tabs on. This is a duet collection that you must have. These two stories are the most intense, thrilling, dramatic, adventurous, and most steamy ones that I have read in a while. I couldn’t put the book down. This author is known for her magnificent writing when it comes to mafia stories. This does not disappoint at all. The writing is most engaging and very contemporary. You are sucked right in from the start. The characters are both endearing and adventurous. They are both good and naughty. I couldn’t get enough and I can’t wait to get into book 2 of the Sinful Duets collection.

This was a sweet holiday inspired, yet it can be read anytime, romance. Andy and Anne had both gone through some relationship hardships. Andy came back into the fold and had hoped to court Anne. He went about it in a different way. He was a secret pen pal. This intrigued Anne to say the least. Watching this relationship grow and develop was heartwarming and endearing. They did have struggles and were able to get through them. I really enjoyed the story. You felt the emotions. The characters were very relatable. Anne’s family were very supportive of her. It’s a beautiful story that showed God is always with you. A story that I highly recommend.
I absolutely love this series! This book is filled with wonderful illustrations and a great story that adults and children can enjoy. In this book, the boy uses magic to bake a bike. It was such a cute story that I enjoyed reading. I cannot wait to read this book with my best friends’ child. Ever since I discovered this author, I have read these books with him and he looks forward to them. I cannot wait to read more books by this author!!

It is a dark college, enemies to lovers’ story full of loss, angst, passion, romance, revenge, dark secrets, toxic families, and uncertainty. This book wraps up Shane and Winter’s saga. Winter was at a dark place in her childhood, and it caused her to lash out at others. Shane was one of the unfortunate victims of Winter’s bullying during childhood. Her mistreatment of him caused him to consider ending his own life. When Winter resurfaces in Shane’s life years later all his hurt, anger, and resentment towards Winter resurfaces. He decides to exact revenge which puts them both on a path that simultaneously pulls them apart while also drawing them together. They do not trust each other but do not know who else to trust either. A complicated situation to say the least. Winter has changed her life around and is attempting to move forward. Shane is dealing with both past and current trauma. Both are trying to overcome their dark pasts and have a brighter future. Both have a hard time trusting. Both feel the attraction to the other, but can they put past hurts and resentments behind them? Can they have a future together? When Winter receives threatening notes and the danger to her life escalates Shane is the only one, she feels safe with. A tension filled ride full of twists and turns as secrets are revealed and we find out how entangled Shane and Winter’s lives have been through the years. Winter and Shane really developed and grew throughout this book, and we learn that deep down Shane is a nice guy with a heart of gold. Bittersweet to see this series ending and I am hoping the author has more books in store for us!

Woman Unbroken: A Novel by Alexandra Fleder- 5 out of 5 stars
This is such an emotional read. I felt as if I truly got to know Devorah through her own eyes. I connected to her more through the trauma and I wanted to hold her during the abusive relationship. That is when you know a book is written well. When you want to jump in and protect or defend your choice character. Bravo! I recommend this book.

Knight in Peril is Book Six in the Jorja Knight Series. The story centers around the main character of Private Investigator Jorja Knight. Her recent adventure finds her in Istanbul trying to locate her missing friend who seems to have vanished without a trace. Jorja finds herself trying to search for her friend in a foreign city so large that it is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. As Jorja tries to solve her friend’s disappearance, she is greeted by lies, greed, danger, and corruption at every turn. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat as the tension and suspense escalates and the twists and turns will keep you reading until the end. I loved the exotic location of Jorja’s latest mystery and the bond she had with her friend. Jorja is smart, determined, strong willed, and courageous. Spectral Revelations is Book Six in the Karina Cardinal Mysteries Series. It is a cozy mystery with drama, danger, ghosts, secrets, lies, greed, and corruption. In her most recent adventure Karina finds herself trying to solve the mystery surrounding the disappearance of her aunt. Uncertain if her aunt has disappeared on her accord or if something bad happened Karina delves into the mystery headfirst to see what happened. When she goes to her aunt’s home, she finds a mischievous ghost that seems to be wreaking havoc in her aunt’s home. At first Karina brushes off the ghost’s behaviour but soon realizes that he is leaving her clues to help solve her aunt’s disappearance. As usual Karina learns more than she bargained for when she uncovers secrets, lies, and corruption. Another great read in this amazing series. The author has a way of pulling you into the story and fully immersing you in the mystery until the very end. The characters are unique, quirky, funny, and entertaining. I absolutely loved the addition of the paranormal element and Karina’s ghostly crime solver.
