5 Stars A Cold Day In Hell (Life Is Hell Book 5) by Naomi Valkyrie
A Cold Day In Hell is the fifth book in the Life is Hell Series by Naomi Valkyrie. This is a wonderfully written Paranormal story that I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. This whole series in my opinion is one of the best ive read and its definitely going on my re-read list. Each book gets better and better and I do highly recommend reading this series in order and not as standalones although you can. The characters carry over and even though each book is about a different set of characters, I still recommend reading the whole series. You won’t be disappointed its that good. Hadassah has been sent to Earth for sharing her powers with her brother Malakhi. Now on the run and trying really hard to continue her good behavior. Can she find her way back or does fate have something else in mind. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read I can’t wait to see what this author brings us next.

This is the first series I have read in a long time! It is now one of my favorites! I cannot say enough good things about Naomi Valkyrie and her writing style. I so love all of the characters in this series and could never choose just one! I really loved reading about Jezebel and Hadassah though. This story shows why it is always good to look at something from someone else’s perspective. You never know what someone has seen or been through in their life. I have to say book five and book one are my favourites! I’m definitely adding more of her books to my library!

A Cold Day in Hell is the 5th book in Naomi Valkyrie’s Life is Hell series. Like all her books, this one is action packed and has wonderful characters. This book focuses on Hadassah and Jezebel. Hadassah is an angel, and Malakhi’s sister and Jezebel is a shifter. Both have recently joined the makeshift family in Juniper Lake. Hadassah is portrayed as a total B in the beginning, but then her hard shell is penetrated and she ricks her lift and powers to save Jezebel. We learn about Jezebel’s dark past and how it is intertwined in the trafficking circle they have been trying to take down for the last couple of books. I don’t want to give away spoilers, but you should read this book, and the whole series. It probably could be read as a stand alone, but they are all overlapping characters, so you should eventually read them all.

A Cold Day in Hell is the fifth book in Naomi Valkyrie’s paranormal Life Is Hell series. The series will appeal to fans of angels and demons, urban fantasy and found family. It’s worth reading it in order, to get to meet characters as they are introduced and watch them grow through the series. A Cold Day in Hell follows Hadassah, an angel who has been sent to Earth for a probationary period without her powers after getting into trouble. Her brother Mal encouraged her to stay with him and the Juniper Lake family, to keep her safe. Hadassah is reluctant to make any friends and tries to keep to herself, but Mal is worried about her and pushes her to try and open up and connect with some of his eclectic family. When she eventually does, she ends up overdoing it somewhat and is soon on an impromptu road trip with Jezebel, running from an all too familiar scent. I really like the opportunity to catch up with characters from the earlier books and see how they’re getting on. For me, it was particularly good to see Jaru thriving! This book gets five stars from me! I would recommend the series to fans of paranormal stories, found family tropes and LGBT+ representation.

This is the 5th book in the Life Is Hell series and yet again it is an amazing read. On this story we follow Haddie and Jezebel. I love how these books are all unique with the main characters but they have a main theme running through them all which is the quest to stop the trafficking.
Haddie is an angel sent to Earth on probation for helping her brother Mal. She is very bitter and hates being on Earth. She plans to do her time and the go back home.
Jezebel is a shifter. We don’t know too much about her story in the other books but this one reveals all. Jezebel’s story is a heartbreaking on and when she feels her past is catching up to her she runs. Little did she realise she would be taking Haddie with her. At the start their relationship is volatile with neither liking the other but over time as Jezebel’s story is revealed their connection grows.
When Jezebel goes missing Haddie will do what ever it takes to bring her back home. Even if it means giving up her chance of ever returning to her heavenly home.

I continue to find this author to be such a unique and wonderful voice within the paranormal genre. This series has been just such a wonderful journey and I LOVED this latest installment. Each character is so unique. The stories weave together beautifully but can be read as standalone without much problem. However with the brilliance from this author you will want to read them all. ASAP!

A Cold Day In Hell is the fifth book in the Life Is Hell series by Naomi Valkyrie. You will definitely want to read this series in order to get the full backstory. Beside that, they are all fabulous five star reads. This book is my favorite of the series. I love how the characters come together. I read this book in one sitting, and was sad when I finished because I will have to wait a while for the next book Ms. Valkyrie writes. She has become a one click author for me. Her attention to details make the book flow smoothly, and the characters she comes up with are amazing and different. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

I give A Cold Day In Hell (Life Is Hell Book 5) by Naomi Valkyrie, 5 stars.
I have loved this series from the beginning and this book is another hit. The author has a limitless imagination to keep coming up with a completely different story every single book. At the same time, they all cohesively weave together to make a phenomenal series. Hadassah and Jezebel take center stage this time, and we learn more about them than we knew before. They have completely different pasts, again a nod to the imagination of the author. The story itself pulls you in and leaves you on the edge of your seat until the end.
There is a basic continuation of the story from previous books, but in my opinion this can be read as a standalone. The varied creatures and relationships are what really make this book and series for me. If you open to supernatural creatures who are nothing near boring, this book is for you.

A Cold Day In Hell by Naomi Valkyrie was a great read! This is the 5th book in the Life Is Hell series and I think this one may be my favorite yet. This book was full of suspense and humor, and honestly I couldn’t put it down. Each character has so much personality I love each and every one. While this can be read as a standalone novel I would recommend reading them in order because there’s so many characters you will definitely be lost with them if you don’t. While I haven’t seen anything about another installment, I really want one because I just love this story and world so much!

Hadassah Engel is a fallen angel, well, maybe not fallen, but she is on probation from the heaven realm, she dared to lend her powers to her brother Malakhi and she is now powerless and stuck in the human realm with him and that is the last place she wants to be, she misses the perfection of her home and her life, she is in her own hell on earth and she is not pleased in the slightest, although she is happy that she took the risk to help Malakhi, now she only has to bide her time. She has been invited by Malakhi to live with him and his adopted family in Juniper Lake, but she doesn’t really want to interact much with any of them, she prefers her own company after all and would much prefer to stay in her room and read, but as time passes, Malakhi is getting fed up of her attitude and insists that she starts to take the time to get to know the others she is living with, but why would she want to make friends with demons and other supernatural beings?
As Malakhi becomes more annoyed with her attitude and her housemates are being increasingly prickly, she decides to try out talking to one of Malakhi’s friends who seems to be more quiet than the others and keep herself to herself, this is more in line with herself as well, so one day she goes to see Jezebel, the dog shifter who lives down by the lake in a small cabin, but she bites a bit more off than she can chew when Jezebel plays her at her own game and starts to push back with an attitude of her own, this isn’t something Hadassah is comfortable with, but she is polite for Malakhi’s sake, however, eventually, she is pushed too far and calls it quits for the night. A few hours later she sees Jezebel coming out of the woods again, however, Jezebel is full of tension and Hadassah knows something is wrong, it seems that she is right and that Jezebel has sensed something from her past and it completely terrifies her, it is someone whom it turns out she has been hiding from and has no intentions of returning to, so as Jezebel packs a bag with enough clothes in for herself, she tells Hadassah that she is taking the truck and leaving Juniper Lake, knowing that Malakhi would kill her if she let Jezebel go alone, Hadassah is determined to go along with her and no matter how Jezebel tries to fend her off, she is unsuccessful.
As the two take off on their impromptu trip, they try to stay as incognito as they can, but as it progresses, they snipe at each other as usual, but they open up to each other as well when they become more comfortable spending time in the same space as each other, but will Jezebel’s past catch up with them, or will they end up being on the run forever, what will Malakhi do when he finds that they have gone without telling him? This is another great book in this series where life and death struggle to come out on top and a makeshift family comes together to help solve a problem which has been hidden away and ignored for years.

This is the fifth book in this series by this author and I knew after reading the previous books I had to read this one as well. I couldn’t wait for the release. And I absolutely loved it. Just as good, if not better than, its predecessors. I love how this author can mix so many genres into one beautifully woven story and this one was no different. Her ability to describe the worlds and characters is remarkable. I really wish that someone would make this series into a television show or set of movies because I can already imagine it in my head. I will say that if you haven’t read the previous books then do so before reading this one. They really do need to be read in order so you will understand what is really going on and what has happened previously. But I do recommend that you read this book, especially if you are into the paranormal romance genre.

This is the 5th book in the Life is Hell series and is a Paranormal Romance. This story follows Haddie, an Angel, as she endures hell on Earth. She ended up on Earth as punishment for sharing her power with her brother and now all she wants to do is go home. Enter Jezebel, her brothers friend. Jezebel is a shifter who has been running from her past and Haddie feels it necessary to go on the run with her, only because her brother would never forgive her if she let her go alone. All she wanted to do was stay out of trouble and serve her time so she can go home.

I really have loved following this series from Naomi Valkyrie and was super excited to see we would be getting another one with a F/F centered romance spin. I have really appreciated the way she tackles writing her romances and the same sex ones at that with a classy and intriguing way that keeps me coming back time and again for more. I was super ready to see what we would get with A Cold Day In Hell, and it did not disappoint! Hadassah is a character that you cannot help but fall in love with and want to cheer on throughout the novel. I was even more here for Jezebel. I think you will want to read these novels in the order that the author has written them for you to fully enjoy them. As I have read these I have really grown to love each of these characters and realize this is a family that Valkyrie is creating and introducing us to little by little. I cannot wait to see what we will get next from her!

A Cold Day in Hell is the fifth book in the series Life Is Hell. Naomi Valkyrie is an author that never disappoints me as a reader. When I see her book, I pick it up because I have to know what is going on with her characters. This book is a part of a series and it would be beneficial to get to know the characters. The story took me on a wild ride. There were some twists and turns where I was blown away because I did not see that coming. The characters are fully developed and full of personality. This book is about Hadassah’s story on probation from heaven for sharing her powers with her brother Malakhi. She is doing her best to stay on “good behavior” because she wants to return to Heaven. Hadassah stays out of her brother’s affairs to return to her paradise sooner. That is until Jezebel comes into the picture. What is going to happen now with Hadassah? Will she keep her good behavior going or is she going to make some sacrifices to prevent her from going to Heaven like she wants to? I highly recommend reading this book to see what Hadassah ends up doing.

Well, Naomi Valkyrie has done it again. I have fallen so very much in love with this series. Each book yanks me in and this one is no exception. I’ve already grown to love the character Jezebel, as she makes an appearance in the other novels. So when I saw her name, I got excited. The new character that had to grow on me is Hadassah. She’s a low burn for me. She comes out hot but then slowly simmers into your heart. These two, coming together, made one hell of a story that I couldn’t put down! If you haven’t already dived head first into this series, I would highly recommend!

Hadassah is an angel sent to earth as a punishment. She is also Mal’s sister. She is a bit of an entitled brat determined to be a loner. Jezebel has been part of Mal’s family at Juniper Lake but prefers to be a loner due to buried secrets. Mal want’s Haddie to make friends with his family. She decides since Bel is a loner also that she will try her. These two are kind of like a comedy team. Rebellious, courageous and quite sassy, you will find yourself rooting for these two to come together. Thought a quick read, the growth that Haddie makes from start to finish is so big that you share tears of joy. When Bel is taken by Devland, Haddie requests her powers back from Heaven. They make her choose between Heaven or Earth. She chose Earth because helping Jezebel was important. She wouldn’t have done that at the beginning. The rescue of Bel takes Haddie on the adventure of a lifetime but it so worth it for the love of a lifetime.

A Cold day in Hell is the fifth book in the Life is Hell series by Naomi Valkyrie. The book focuses on two different point of views; Hadassah who is an angel sent to earth without powers, and on probation as a punishment. At first, she is very dislikable. She’s selfish, bratty and entitled. As the book progresses though so does her character, for the better with the help of the second main character, Jezebel.
Jezebel, a shifter, has been through hell and back. A necromancer by the name of Devland is after her. She thought she was safe living with a safehaven among other paranormal creatures. Until one day when she thinks she isn’t safe anymore. Deciding to run, bringing Hadassah along for the ride
I should disclose that I judged a book by its cover, but was not disappointed! When I saw the cover I didn’t realize this was the 5th book in the series. Even without reading the other books in the series, this book was great! It had all kinds of aspects that hold interest to me. Mystery, romance, drama, paranormal, magic, angels, demons, and even necromancy. It was all in all easy to understand, so I wasn’t confused as to what was going on around me.
Another big plus for me is that the book was LGBTQ friendly! There is a lot of same sex relationships going on in the background. Plus the two main characters, Hadassah and Jezebel have a will they won’t they vibe to their relationship.
I am definitely going to pick up the rest of the series!

A Cold Day In Hell Life Is Hell Book 5 By Naomi Valkyrie ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ This is a full length addition to the Life is Hell series. I recommend you read this series in the order it is written. This series has it all, angels, paranormal, shifters, romance suspense and the family.
The story is wrapped around Hadassah and her time on probation. That is where family comes in. She is sent to earth for helping her brother Malakhi save a demon. A Cold Day in Hell by Naomi Valkyrie a fantastical five-star read. This is number five in the Life is Hell series and its just as strong as the first, if not stronger as they all build on each other and develop the characters, normally by book five in a series one of the stories will drag a little, or someone will start to grate, but this author manages to keep it fresh and fun, and just keeps giving a deeper story to pull you in. This time its Haddie and Jezebel we get to hear more from, both are characters that grate in some ways, but warm you so much in others. They each have a side of the story and together they may the page light up.

A Cold Day in Hell by Naomi Valkyrie is the fifth book in the Life Is Hell series. I have read all of the books in the series. Each one can stand alone but you will want to read them all in order to learn about the characters. Ms Valkyrie’s books centers on two characters that make up the ragtag family in Juniper Lake. There are so many paranormal beings in the story you won’t want to miss learning about who they are and why they consider each other family. Book 5 centers on the two loners of the family – Hadassah and Jezebel. Their story starts out with them being unsure of each other. Their friendship soon develops when Jezebel feels the need to run away from the safety of Juniper Lake to save the rest of the family. Hadassah knows she can’t let Jezebel go alone and tags along. The Life is Hell series is one of my all time favorites. I cannot wait to read the next book.

This book was stunning. Without knowing it was the fifth in the series – I jumped right in to this fantasy (with the information I have now, I’ll be starting from the top!) but still this book was nonetheless stunning. From the dual perspective plot line to the Angel “banned” to earth. Both Jezebel and Hadassah were so strong and easily relate-able. I’ll be back with a more in depth review when I can connect all of the dots. I loved the writing style as well!

A Cold Day In Hell is book five in the ‘Life Is Hell’ series by Naomi Valkyrie and having read and enjoyed the previous four books I was looking forward to reading this latest novel and as usual I was not disappointed. This is a F/F paranormal romance which had me hooked from start to finish. I feel that these books are best enjoyed in order as the characters do crossover as do the storylines. This novel centres around exiled angel, Hadassah Engel (Haddie) who as punishment for sharing her powers with her brother, Malakhi, so that he could save a demon, has been exiled from Heaven and sent to Earth. Haddie is counting down the days until she can return to paradise and is keeping herself out of trouble and out of her brother’s family affairs. However when Jezebel’s past puts her in danger and Mal asks her to go on the run with her to keep her safe she can’t say no.
Having been pushed together in dangerous circumstances Haddie and shy dog shifter Jezebel discover that spending time together might not be that awful after all, but even if Jezebel teaches Haddie how to love she may not be willing to sacrifice her life in paradise. I love the characters in this series and Haddie and Jezebel were such likeable characters and I loved how their relationship developed throughout the story. As usual I felt completely immersed in the storyline thanks to the authors wonderful descriptive narrative which brings the setting and the characters to life. The plot has plenty of drama, action, suspense and of course romance that I could not put the book down. An enjoyable and engaging read, this series just gets better and better and I hope that there will be more books in this series.

YES!! The 5th book in the Life is Hell series is just as epic as the others. This book is all about Jezebel who was saved by Malakhi, and Hadassah who is Malakhi’s sister. I really love Hadassah and Jezebel’s relationship, they grow closer when Hadassah follows Jezebel as she leaves, thinking that she is putting everyone in danger. At first Hadassah doesn’t want to get along with anyone let alone be stuck on earth but she figures that Jezebel would be the least risky option. I like the introduction of Devland, it was crazy that Jezebel would be dreaming certain things and then later on they would come to light. There are some nice little curves in here in regards to Devland and his relationship with Jezebel that had me worried. Seeing the relationships from the previous books still going strong and beautifully had me smiling. I really love this author and the writing style. I look forward to what comes next!

A Cold Day in Hell by Naomi Valkyrie is the fifth book in the Life Is Hell series. This is a fantastic series which honestly just seems to keep on getting better! Each new book quickly becomes my new favourite – until the next book is released or I reread the previous ones. This book is a brilliant addition to the series. It has all qualities I have come to expect from this author – great writing, strong and interesting characters, a thrilling story line. It is always so exciting when I see a new book from this author waiting for me. If you aren’t yet familiar with her work I would urge you to do so immediately!

A Cold Day In Hell (Life Is Hell Book 5) by Naomi Valkyrie is a paranormal F/F romance story. Naomi never fails to deliver, and she always exceeds my expectations. Juniper Lake and its inhabitants have become family. This is a place where everyone is more than a little different but are family. With all sorts of magical beings this is the place to be. If you have not read any of Naomi’s work, then you better get hopping and start at the beginning because you are missing out. Naomi holds a place as one of my fav authors. I am sorry to see the series end but excited to see what she does next. Reviewed by @jennadb

This fantasy book has every element attached to it, super natural, family, drama, romance and suspense. The book is about an angel Hadassah who is on suspended duty from heaven and has been sent to earth because she helped her brother rescue a demon. But that doesn’t stop her to reach out to her brother’s friend , Jezebel, who is a dog shifter. How the chemistry between these two unfolds is a crux of the story. I haven’t read the previous books, so I could not relate much to the characters. But the plot kept me going. It was fun reading this book. Overall it was an interesting read.

This is an enjoyable story. I always wondered about Jezebel since we first met her. I am glad her storyline is a good one. The irritation between these two is great! Hadassah has been a thorn-like character from her first introduction. She is a character you love to hate. Because she is only out for herself…or her brother. The dislike of each other (Jezebel and Hadassah) at the beginning is classic! The problem is I didn’t see or feel the connection change to anything other than friendship. Personally I did see a growth/change in both characters as the story moved along.
Overall I did like the story. I am guessing other unanswered questions will find answers in the next or future books.

A cold day in hell has everything you want in a book, mystery, romance, humor, drama and magic. I could not put it down. Haddie has been suspended from heaven and her angel duties for misusing her power so she is sent to earth, she will do anything to get back to heaven. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

This series just keeps getting better and better with each book! What I love the most is that while these characters arent real, they have real and relatable issues, problems, insecurities. When i open one of these books i feel like im sitting down with an old friend to catch up and see what has been happening in their life.

This is an author I never hesitate to pick up. This book is part of the series Life in Hell which is just as awesome if not better than the previous books. I highly suggest that you read the previous books in this series to help your enhancement of this series. I loved this book and can’t wait to see what is next. This is a well written story that has characters that give the story life. They are strong, determined and really just made the story for me. This is an engaging, fast paced story that pulled me in from the first word. This book is about Hadassah who has been sent to earth because she did the unforgivable thing by sharing her powers with her brother. She finds herself on the run and who is determined not to let her heart go the dog shifter. He has taught her to love despite her determination not to. What will fate have in store for her? I highly recommend reading this book to find out. It really is an awesome book that has characters that made the story feel realistic and fun to read. It is a must read and so is this series.
