This story was deeply emotional and moving contemporary romance that will bring you to tears and fill your heart with hope and happiness. The story was very engaging and had me riveted to each word. I became heavily invested in this couple and they were endlessly entertaining. Sparks flew between them for the very beginning. But the tenacious, never back down personality of the leading man meant that the leading lady was in for a hum dinger of a battle. Keeping her distance was an impossibility, and locking down feelings was a lost cause. Masterfully written and intricately thought out. These characters were expertly interwoven and the reader will be left with many fond memories. 4 stars.

A Hundred Wishes is part of the Band of Sisters series. I haven’t read any of the others, but I likely will. I really enjoyed this book and the writing style. While it was narrated by a 3rd person perspective, there are parts that are more focused on each character and their feelings. I like that it was romantic, and had some hot scenes, but wasn’t overly graphic and raunchy. The developing relationship between Gina and Bryce was sweet. The characters are very real and down to earth. Their feelings and problems are realistic. I like the bond Gina has with her “sisters” and Bryce with his friends and family. There are parts that made me laugh and nearly cry. The ending though, really? REALLY?! How could you do that to us??? Now I NEED to read the next book for sure!

This is a modern romance with diverse characters. Readers are immersed into a family that chose each other. This family is often contrasted with families that characters are born into. We learn about physical healing as well as emotional healing. While rooting for our protagonists to make it, readers are guided to the idea that it may be impossible. A nice allusion to the well-known fact that we must all make choices throughout our lives, and sometimes the consequences of our choices are not pleasant.

This was my first book in the series and by this author. This is a great stand alone book that does not require the previous books to have been read. Gina’s hobby sounds like a lot of fun even though I know a lot of work goes into it. Although I didn’t love this book, I did like it. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was it was hard for me to see the love between Gina and Bryce when the lust is so high in the beginning. This is more of an “insta-lust” book instead of an “insta-love” book and that threw me off at first.

I really enjoyed this book. It deals with everyday issues that most of us are trying to cope with. Not necessarily the military side but the many insecurities that us women have. Gina and Bryce were so sweet with each other and I can’t wait to see where their story goes in the future. Their whole friend group is amazing. And that ending though! I need the next one!

This has to be one of the best stories of the year. I love a well written love story, but when real people are involved, it makes it that much better. This author brought Gina and Bryce ‘ s story to life. Gina is retired military, after an explosion she finds herself injured, not just body but mentally as well. She does not let that keep her down though. She has her Band Of Sisters, who help her get through the healing process. But more than that, she has her crafts and even a teaching class online for children. So she has almost everything she could ask for, except for romance. She tries to keep that out of her life. Bryce however has fallen for this beautiful woman that wants nothing to do with him. Bryce has secrets too, so romance is not in his cards as well. But we all know that romance is going to happen no matter how hard we hide from it. If it can happen it will. Read this story to find out how Gina and Bryce learn to trust, laugh, grow stronger and yes fall in love. This story is a fast read and the roller coaster of emotions is faster. Get ready for this non stop ROMANCE.

Love stories are never meant to be easy, if it was, we wouldn’t appreciate it as much. This story reminded me that we all have pasts, it is what we do with them that makes us who we are. Gina is a veteran who has chosen to work with kids and crafting, escaping from the injuries she left the Army from. Bryce Cambridge is an arson inspector, who wants to get close to Gina, but will misunderstandings ruin their chances?
This is the third book in the series, which I didn’t realize when I picked it up. I was able to follow the story without issue but am looking forward to going back and reading the first books.

This book is a contemporary romance novel.

Gina Fisher, a former Army sergeant who was gravely injured by a roadside bomb two years ago, is now ready to resume her life. Sewing, creating, and educating youngsters online have given her a feeling of inner calm. Work that keeps her apart from everyone but her sisters. Bryce Cambridge, an arson investigator, has never been shot down as swiftly or as abruptly as he is by the woman selling quilts with stunning brown eyes. When he bumps into her the next day at a bowling alley, luck is on his side. Her witty retort piques his interest and turns him on. The chemistry between them is intense, and no matter how hard she tries to resist, the spark between them is too strong to ignore.

Gina is weakening the barrier she’s constructed around her heart because to those blue-gray eyes and beautiful grin. Bryce, on the other hand, wants to see all Gina is hiding as their relationship progresses. Gina’s puckered, scarred skin and the shrapnel embedded in her body are only the top layers of the scars she attempts to conceal. Even for someone as tough as Bryce, her deepest, darkest secret may be too revolting.Because his concerns are a part of her everyday life.

I loved this story. I loved every page of it. Every chapter was exciting. This is my first book from this author and I can’t wait to read the rest of her books.

While this may be the third book in a series, I had read the author before and saw some teasers and the cover and just had to read it and dove right in not too worried, and I was completely okay reading it. I loved how this book was a feel good sweet romance that had the effect of reading a hallmark movie sort of. I just slipped away as I read about Gina and Bryce and the road of obstacles they will have to traverse to find the happily ever after they both so deserve. I loved the flow and the ease with which it read and honestly I devoured it in one sitting before bed. I will definitely be checking out the rest of the books that came before it and am eager to see what will come. The added storyline about the sisterhood of friendship that Gina has is wonderful too. I found it refreshing and I love reading about girlfriends and their shenanigans. This is definitely one that you don’t want to miss!

I love military romances and this book was not the traditional military romance I am used to. It is so amazing to see a military strong female character as a main character in a book let alone the four that make up this band of sisters. If you love hot and cold romance novels then this is the perfect pick. The author does a fantastic job of portraying a real romance that we all know is not all sunshine and roses!

First we start off meeting Gina, our female lead, at a craft fair selling quilts that she sews herself. Then Bryce enters and though he is interested this is not the start of their relationship because as we all know in real life nothing is that easy. There are some misconceptions Gina has about Bryce and wants absolutely nothing to do with him. Yet he seems to show up everywhere she is and slowly chips away at the hard wall Gina has built up to protect her most inner secrets. Just when maybe things are going great things take a downturn after meeting his family. There are some secrets Gina is just not ready to tell especially when they seem to be Bryce’s biggest fears. Can they move past the trust issues to reach their happily ever after? This book is a must read for anyone looking for a down to earth realistic romance novel. It made me laugh, cry, and want to shout at the main characters. It has been one of the best romance novels I have read in a long time. Now I am going to download the first two so I can hear the other tales of the band of sisters.

This was one of those books where you really fall for the characters.
When you meet Gina and hear her story you become so invested and are rooting for her to find happiness. After being severely injured whilst on duty, she’s managed to piece her life back together, but she’s still living in the shadow of the woman she was before. When she meets Bryce, things change. He cracks her well-built defences and forces her to live in the present.
I loved Gina’s strength and Bryce’s perseverance and general loveliness. Things do not always run smoothly, but you will be rooting for this couple right up to the end.

I would recommend this book to any romance fans out there.

This book was so good! So many emotions!

Gina is home after being Injured and leaving the military. She is making a new life in Maine and just keeping to herself and her sisters. She never expected Bryce but she can’t stop thinking about him. Their chemistry is off the charts but will everything Gina keeps hidden ruin what they are building?

I couldn’t put this book down!! There were so many emotions and the characters were great! Gina is so strong and definitely learned that beauty comes from within and just because she struggles to see the beauty doesn’t mean it’s not there.

Bryce and Gina are both strong people and the things that Gina has been through her entire life have led her to where she is today. Bryce is a charming and handsome man who almost seems to be too good to be true. Gina is independent yet has her weaknesses and suffers from PTSD.
The love they find together is awe-inspiring but yet will it be enough to over-come everything they have to face.

Gina and Bryce meet under a situation that I think many women would feel odd about. As someone who is insecure a bit about herself at times, I totally related to Gina and some of her assumptions. I can also understand some of Gina’s reluctance to share about her experience of being wounded while serving her country. But with any great love story, taking the time to listen and communicate helps Gina and Bryce really connect.
I really enjoyed reading about Gina and Bryce. I’m sure I will be reading the other books in this series soon.

A Hundred Wishes had me running through all sorts of emotions as I read. Happy, sad, frustrated, loved, relatable, ect. I enjoyed it as a whole though!
Gina, a homemaker/retired military with a deep secret. Her circle of friends(sisters) know because they were there together, but not the new man who entered her life.
Bryce, a fire inspector who squirms at the site of injuries and scars of injuries, doesn’t know his new person of interest has a deep secret involving just that.
The growth between Gina and Bryce is slow and frustrating because they suck at communicating with one another. They both need to overcome their fears if they intend on making it work. Individually I feel the character growth was definitely a lot better. They need to figure out how to translate that growth to their relationship.
Do they overcome their fears or do they let go of each other? Despite how happy they make one another.
A book in a series that I personally need to go back and read the first 2 books. You don’t have to read them; it works just as well as a stand-alone.
Of course after reading this book I’m going to anxiously await the last one, since there’s one friend(sister) left who’s story needs to be told.

I love when a female lead can hold her own and not be meek and not speak her mind. Thats what I really loved about Gina. She wasnt afraid to speak her mind when needed to call someone out on things and she had me laughing with her interaction with Bryce.

These two had the chemistry to burn the pages but they really had their work cut our for them with needed to be open with each other.

This author took a very sensitive topic and made it empowering to read about. I cried with our couple as they overcame these hardships and hurdles as they went through them.
And now i will wait for the next in the series as Gina’s group of sisters dropped a hige bombshell at the end and curious minds need to know!

I was pulled in right from the beginning and didn’t want to put it down. This was a great 5 star read, my emotions were all over the place.

Gina has a secret that she holds pretty close, she uses her crafts to help her deal with things. She ends up meeting Bryce who is an arson inspector. He wants to get to know Gina better but she’s not sure if she is ready to open up just yet. Will Bryce be able to get her to trust him with her secret? Can they have a HEA?

Overall I really enjoyed their story, they definitely didn’t have an easy road but what real relationship is easy? These two were made for each other. You can read this book as a stand alone but I suggest reading from the start so you get the backstory. I can’t wait to read more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

I loved this story! Gina is a military veteran with a traumatic past. After getting injured in a bomb, she has recovered and is living life with her best friends. Bryce is an arson inspector who is used to being loved by the ladies. Until he meets Gina at a craft fair, who shot him down. When they meet with mutual friends, the chemistry is undeniable.

The connection between these characters was so much fun to experience. Gina is strong willed, independent, and knows what she wants from life. Bryce is cocky, witty and used to getting his way. He is flirty and gives his all to impressing Gina. Gina isn’t sure how much she can let him in with her injuries.

As a military family, this story hits a special place in my heart. Gina is battling with not only self love but letting someone in to know her whole true self. This story is beautiful, fun, lustful, and emotional. I’m so glad I read this book and would love to read the rest of the series!

Although this book is part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone. I had not read any of the previous books in the series and did not feel as though I was missing any necessary information as the author fills you in with all information needed to understand and enjoy the story.
This is a great contemporary romance that follows one of my favourite tropes, and that is ‘wounded warrior’. Gina was badly burned in a roadside bomb while in active service three years previously. Her confidence is low and she hasn’t been with a man since and has no intention of letting any man see her body. That is until she meets, and gets to know, arson investigator Bryce. But how will he react when he sees her scars? Will she actually get the courage to let him see her as she really is?
I really enjoyed reading Gina and Bryce’s story. It’s filled with a great deal of angst, mainly on Gina’s part, as she tries to fight her growing feelings for Bryce but unable to see how such a relationship could work.
I loved the camaraderie between Gina and her friends, who have been the main characters in the previous books and in those still to come. They truly are a ‘band of sisters’.
I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others.

I really enjoyed this contemporary romance read. The characters were so well written that I couldn’t help but take them into my heart and want the best for them. Gina – I had so much respect for her, she sustained an awful injury but rebuilt her life with such strength and bravery – I truly admired her. Bryce may have stolen my heart! The way he interacted with Gina and made her feel safe and secure enough to finally let someone in. I was 100% rooting for this couple the whole way through.
A really lovely read and one I would highly recommend.

A Hundred Wishes was equally heartwarming, funny, sad and steamy. I loved that even though this book was part of a little series of books you could read it all by itself.
I fell in love with the characters. They were real. No fairytale romace here. Both of the main characters had issues that cause bumps and curves in their relationship together. Though they did work through a lot of the issues, the issues themselves didn’t magically disappear. By the end of the story they both still had stuff they need to workout but had learned how to better work them and cope. That made this story much more relatable and such a great read.

Gina has steadily been putting her life back together from the tragic roadside bomb from her army days. Gina is comfortable with showing herself from behind a computer but when she gets close to Bryce someone who is prepared to get inside the walls she has built up.

This story was heart warming and engaging, the characters were well developed and I related to Gina’s character and her reluctance to involve herself with Bryce in the beginning. Although she has scars on the outside of her body the ones on the inside are more powerful and more deadly.

The story was well developed and you are gently woven through the backgrounds and the present day for both of the main characters, the secondary characters also add a depth to the story which is great to read. I can’t wait to read more books by this great author.

A heartfelt and steamy coming together between a fire investigator and an injured soldier. With many obstacles to overcome, Gina and Bryce, tackle them together with more time spent in lust than in conversation. Everyone seems to work as hard as they play, and the group of friends coming together would be a fun group to spend time with anywhere. This book is so touching because we know that Gina is not alone, and terrible things happen. She has a great group of friends to help her through her trials and Bryce is worth helping him figure out his stuff as well.
