A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R Abbott is the second book in the series and follows the story of Mel and her horrendous mishaps that happen along the way.
Mel is travelling to her parents for Christmas but half way through the journey she is turned about by her mother and she has to go and help her aunt in Spain. Although the trip there is a manic mishaps one after another once she is safely in Spain she is complete lost and does not know which way to go until she meets a handsome stranger who helps her. Once she arrives at her aunt’s place she is unaware of what she has to do to help, she thought she was walking into a lovely relaxing beach vacation to be thrust into the world of animals.
As the story progress you get to see the relationship blossoms between the two characters and the great way the story weaves is great to read. This is not the first story I have read by this author and as normal this is a well written, delightful story. I recommend this series as each book can be read as a stand alone story.

5 Star • A Tangy Christmas Kiss By Allyson R. Abbott is an Amazingly written story that will have you laughing one minute to feeling the magic the next minute . You also realize the importance of family. I had a hard time putting this down once I started reading it. Mel is on the way to Spain which happens to be a last minute request from her mother it’s to watch her aunts house while she’s in the hospital. Some stuff starts happening and it causes her frustration and the jet lag shes tired and just needs to rest.Then there’s the handsome stranger who set next to her on the flight who helps her.She can’t really understand what he saying, she’s not very fluent in Spanish. But its hard to say no to his assistance. How far will this handsome stranger go out of his way to help her? When she finally gets to her aunts house what happens?Find out what happens between her and the handsome stranger, I highly recommend reading this book its very heart warming. Loved this Book and can’t wait to read more from this Author.

“A Tangy Christmas Kiss” is the second novella in the Christmas Kiss series by Allyson R. Abbott, but these are stand alones so they do not need to be read in any particular order that I’ve seen so far. This lovely story follows Mel, whose mother called last minute to get Mel to Spain to help her aunt after a surgery. Mel’s trip shows her the kindness of strangers and learning to accept help when it is offered as she figures out she isn’t as independent as she thought. The great lessons, wonderful characters and scenery all make this story perfect for Christmas! As an animal lover, the smaller theme of animals that seems to crop up in both books is a great added touch! These easy to read stories make for a nice afternoon in on a cold winter day! A Tangy Christmas Kiss Christmas Kiss Book 2 By Allyson R. Abbott ☆☆☆☆☆ This is a sweet romance story, dealing with language barriers. A great story for the young adults and anybody who would enjoy a good clean romance.
When two strangers come to meet and neither one understands the other. Mel helps out her mother on request. She has flown to Spain, to house sit for her aunt Rose. Mel has no clue what she is about to walk into. Once in Spain, nothing is as she remembers. Not only that but she must learn to communicate, and to understand a foreign language. Challenges are in place and now she must adapt. Or lose the gorgeous young man who is there to help her.
Allyson Abbott has opened up a whole new world for me. Learning to adapt in a foreign country. Who knew? Not me! Having never left the USA. This story really opened my eyes. I absolutely fell in love with Mel and Lucas, their struggles were real. Their love was even better. Well done Allyson R. Abbott! Looking forward to reading the rest in this series.

A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott. This is such a fun series! I read all of them one right after the other. This is the story of city girl Mel who gets roped into flying to Spain to house sit of her aunt. It being a bungalow on the beach in Spain, she’s left wondering why her Mother is not jumping on it. She also has to leave right now, what’s the big rush she wonders. On her flight to Spain she starts getting more nervous as she doesn’t speak a lick of Spanish. The trip takes forever and she misses her lift to her house. Not knowing the language she’s scared & doesn’t know what to do. The handsome Spanish stranger she sat by on the flight just happens to help her even though she doesn’t understand a word he’s saying. Romance follows. Such a sweet, holiday love story. I loved it!

If your not feeling very festive well this novel will help put you in the mood. This is the second book of the series and I was once again pulled in right from the beginning and completely hooked! I absolutely love the author’s writing style. It’s written in a way that you can visualize everything that’s going on so you feel like your there. I was captivated by the story line and was eager to turn the pages to see what was going to happen next. It had me laughing out loud at times. There’s nothing better than a novel that makes you giggle and that makes your emotions go up and down like a yo-yo. I cannot wait to read more from this author. Once again I wasn’t left disappointed!!

A little twist for the holidays. When Mel finds herself in a country where she doesn’t know the language who would’ve guessed that love would be in the air. I guess that’s one language everyone knows even when they don’t speak the same language. I liked that the author brought another culture into play and used the language instead of just having the characters speak English. The story was good even though it was not believable. A Tangy Christmas Kiss, Christmas Kiss Book 2 by Allyson R. Abbott. This is the second book in the Christmas Kiss Series. When Mel gets a phone call from her mother, asking her to drop everything and go house sit for her aunt while she is in the hospital, she is relieved in a way, she could use a getaway. What should be an easy flight and trip, turns into a what will go wrong, can go wrong type of trip. From her flights being botched and having extremely long, crazy layovers to meeting a sexy, sweet fellow passenger, and let’s not forget the language barrier. Will the rest of this voyage go as planned or is this just a taste of what is yet to come. I truly enjoyed this book and can not wait for more from this series and also this author.

A Tangy Christmas Kiss is book two in the Christmas Kiss series by Allyson R. Abbott. It is a clever little christmas romance that was short, sexy and oh, so sweet. Mel is a hot mess and finds herself in a foreign country where she doesn’t speak the native tongue. But she does know the language of love, and sets about to find her happy ever after. It is a highly entertaining story that will make you laugh hard and loud, and your heart melt in a puddle of gooey sweetness. 5 stars for this wonderfully festive fiction.

All these stories are standalones so you can pick them up in any order – it is the Christmas and Kisses that they have as the common element! I love the way Allyson spins the story … she is warm and you feel invited into the story and it is so easy to briefly close your eyes and picture it all, smell it all, and hear it all … All the stories are perfect for holidays, they leave you starry eyed and feeling warm and fuzzy! A Tangy Christmas Kiss is the story of love finding a way whether you can speak to each other or not, language barrier cannot stop what is to happen! Melanie had less than 12 hours to pack her bags and fly to Spain to housesit for her aunt while she is in hospital and you can imagine that everything happening at such a short notice, everything that can go wrong, will do so! Mel happens to sit next to a nice Spanish guy during the last leg of her series of flights and he will become her savior even though does not speak any English … and then enters her aunt’s neighbour who feels it is him who should assist her … and then and then and then … Pick up a copy and find out if what happens in Spain stays in Spain and when strangers meet!

A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R Abbott was not one of my favorites but I do not think that the was bad. It’s just a personal preference I guess and the book was well written.
Mel has to change her plans and go spend time In Spain to help out at her Aunt Rosa’s house. It turns out to be a lot more then just house sitting. The book was busy and kept me interested for the most part. There was a language barrier between Mel and a friend she makes and the book has the male character speaking Spanish and Mel trying to understand it and it was just a bit annoying in my personal opinion. With that being said, I did like storyline and do enjoy this authors writing.

This is the second book in the Christmas kiss series and can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed reading the funny antics, sweet romance and so much more. Mel is a wonderful character that is having a crazy and rough time traveling to Spain to house sit for her aunt. We can all relate to the craziness of traveling that’s for sure and it’s made more difficult for Mel with the language barrier. Language barrier or not when a hot stranger offers help you cant help but swoon a little. This story definitely has the magic of Christmas in it. This story is a fun and sweet read that should not be missed. I highly recommend this book.

A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is a five star novel. I loved this book and all the twists and turns! When Mel learns she has to go to Spain, she is very confused and has no clue what she is going to do there. All she knows is her mom is insisting she go. She needs to go take care of her Aunt Rosa who is having surgery. After traveling for days, she is ready to just have a melt down and fly back to the states. Why is everything so hard? She meets a guy who decides to help her out even though they don’t speak the same language. She and then we guy have a lot of issues but can they make it work for a Christmas romance? Definitely not speaking the same language is difficult!

This book is definitely a seasonal must read! A Tangy Christmas Kiss is the second book in the Christmas Kiss Series by Allyson R. Abbott. This story follows Melanie “Mel” on her curious adventure to Spain. Mel’s mother calls her out of the blue to ask her to go to Spain to help her Aunt while she recovers from surgery. So basically anything that could go wrong on this trip happens. The upside to this is the sexy man that sat next to her on the plan. He decides to help her even though he doesn’t speak any English and she doesn’t speak any Spanish! All the while Mel doesn’t seem too concerned as to why her mother couldn’t go to Spain. But you have to read to find out why! So, basically this story is full of funny and quirky moments that keep you laughing and wondering what’s going to happen next. If this book doesn’t put you in the holiday spirit then I don’t know what will! Allyson has such a way with her books that the stories have so many unexpected twists that pull you in and have you on your toes wanting to see what’s going to happen next! This is such a sweet story that you really don’t want to put it down. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to see what kind of romantic adventure we take ourselves on! Again…this is a Christmas must read!

A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is the second book in the Christmas Kiss series. I was hoping for a connection between this book and the first but there isn’t so it can be read as a standalone.
Mel flys to Spain last minute to help her Aunt and act as a stand in for her Mom. After an incredibly long trip she finally gets on her last flight only to find she is sitting next to a very good looking man.
Lucas is an absolute sweetheart and he falls for Mel immediately and offers to help her get to her Aunt’s place and so much more.
For a short story a lot of things happen, especially to poor Mel. This is a sweet love story and I’m looking forward to finishing up this series.

A Tangy Christmas Kiss was a good 4 star read and book two in the Christmas Kiss series.
Mel is getting ready for Christmas with her family, when she’s asked to please go to her aunt’s home in Spain. Her mom was supposed to go but is unable to make it.
The travel to Spain seemed to take quite a while. On her way she meets a Spanish gentleman that she has language barrier issues with. Wanting to help Mel, he escorts her to her aunt’s home. This is where Mel realizes that what she was imagining about her aunt’s home was incorrect. She has animals that need caring for along with chores.
Mel also meets her aunt’s neighbor. Who is more than happy to assist her as well. This is where things get interesting with Mel and the two hotties, Domingo and Lucas. Which one of these two will she fall for?
There are twist and turns with a few LOL moments. I loved all of the characters in the story. Allyson Abbott does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. Overall I felt this was a good read. Once you start you will be done before you know it. I look forward to reading more from this series.

Sweet and romantic, this Christmas story took me as the reader to another country with different Christmas traditions. I thought it hilarious how the lemons were tied into breast cancer awareness at the start of the novel giving the main character Mel and Lucas an inside joke for the story. I was not sure how Domingo fit into the story at first, but later on the author reveals a surprise. This novel was such a wonderful and easy read. I could not put it down and can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is the second book in her Christmas Kiss series and what a great follow up this one was! Continuing with the sweet holiday themes this story will show you that Murphy’s law is in full effect for her characters. Following the story of Melanie, she will pull you in from page one and keep you intrigued until the end. From the moment her mother cons her into watching her aunt’s house everything imagine just falls apart in Mel’s life. When she ends up lost and vulnerable will the help of a sexy Spanish stranger be a good thing or another wrong turn? While there is a serious language barrier there is also something more as well. The language between their bodies keeps drawing them toward each other no matter the obstacles. When things look to be heading up for Mel and her mysterious stranger, what will become of them when she gets to her final stop? Will Mel’s fly by the seat of your pants attitude keep him close or will he run like everyone else? Abbott is a new to me author, only having found her with this series, but man am I happy that I picked this one up. If you are looking for a great book that can be read as a solo from its series as well as one that will warm your heart and tingle your cheeks than this is the one for you. I can’t wait to see where this series goes from here!

A Tangy Christmas Kiss is Allyson R. Abbott’s second book in her holiday Christmas Kiss Series. I really enjoyed the fun little read to break up the building bustle that is my holiday season. I found myself laughing out loud several times, something we all could use a time or two when the season gets to be stressful. Grab you favorite hot drink and curl up for the evening with Melanie, she will for sure make you feel as if you couldn’t possibly be having that bad of a holiday season. Melanie, or Mel, just can’t catch a break. What starts out as a favor for her mother to help out her sick aunt turns into a royal nightmare. And then there is the sexy man that she can’t understand. The story was fun to read with charming characters. The characters gave this story a lighthearted feel, along with some craziness – which always tends to come with family. This is a very quick and sweet Christmas story. I’m not sure what it is about Christmas’ books I love so much, especially during this time of year…but I can’t get enough !! Mel got talked into going to Spain to help her aunt who is having surgery. Once the trip is planned… from day one, things don’t go according to plan. After many days of traveling, she finally arrives. But it’s not how she remembers, a lot has changed. And now she has to take care of her aunt as well. Will she be able to to it ? I enjoyed Mel’s character, she is a lot stronger and more capable than she knows. I know it’s hard going to a unknown place with complete strangers. But she makes the best of the situation. It’s such a fun read, I can’t wait to see what’s next in the third book!!

What she thought would be a vacation at the beach, turns into a whole lot more. This story proves if something can go wrong, it will. From the beginning thing went from bad to worse. Delayed layovers, bad news, language barrier are just a few of the difficulties that Mel encounters. When she reaches her destination, she realizes she is way over her head. If you are looking for a super sweet, heartwarming holiday book, this is a perfect book to choose. Allyson R. Abbott is one of my favorite go to authors, especially when I’m looking for a good laugh. Her books always pick me up and I love how she jumps around in her genres. I highly recommend this book and author.

Mel is a city girl who has been temporarily transplanted to a farm. She has quite the time trying to learn the ins and outs. Thankfully she has the next door neighbor to help her out. As well as a handsome stranger she met at the airport. I did much chuckling at the antics this poor girl got herself into. I will also say I will never think of lemons the same way again after reading this!
This is a sweet little Christmas story. The characters are fun and interesting. The story dragged for me a bit but the sped up and it got more engaging. I do recommend this if you are looking for a fun, flirty Christmas story.

If you are looking for a sweet, wacky, and whatever can go wrong does go wrong not to mention a romantic comedy all wrapped into a book is A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson Abbott. I have to admit that I am starting to enjoy this Christmas Kiss series. I need to have some comedy in my life and these books are the answer to my comedy needs. Melanie is the main female character and she has become my book best-friend. I love the way she approaches everything. I believe I would be the planner and Melanie would be the fly by the seat of her pants friend. Melanie is out to assist her mom when all that is possible goes wrong does indeed go wrong. Not to mention meeting a Hottie helps out. So in your mind’s eye you see a woman who is helping her mother and everything going wrong mixed with a Hottie who doesn’t speak your language and here is the A Tangy Christmas Kiss book for you.

This love found in unexpected places was a fun read.This story is about Mel and Lucas. Mel finds herself in a position of caring for her aunt’s house in Spain. However, the trip was an unexpected one and the job not exactly what she thought. Mel also doesn’t speak spanish. Lucas is sweet and quick to help out even without understanding. I definitely loved reading about them and the progress of their relationship. Allyson Abbott does a wonderful job with pulling her readers in and with character development. She writes great secondary characters as well.

A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is the second book in the Christmas Kiss series, it was just as whimsical, sweet, cheesy hallmarkly, as the first.
Not my first read by this author or this series, I read A prickly Christmas Kiss last year, so it’s only fitting I keep going with this fun holiday series. Now before I get to into this review, I have to tell you that though this is a series, so far they read as standalones. So no worries about spoilers or reading out of order.
Okay, here’s the tea, I wasn’t as drawn into this one as I was with the first. Though I still very much enjoyed this fun tale of lost in translation, I wasn’t too keen on how much time was spent on Mel getting to her destination. Not only that, her first impression, for me, wasn’t the greatest. I know what it’s like to travel, long, tiring and plain old crazy. I didn’t like the bratty way she was acting, especially with the barista (don’t be sassy with people that’s preparing your food/drink, unless you like spit.. then go for it..), or her overall tone for the first 30% of the book. I do get it, overtired, irritated and lost, been there done that to many times to count. What I’m saying is that maybe, starting the book before we get to the strung out Mel, probably would have made me more sympathetic towards her situation. (Cause when it got into it, I got it, her mom pulled a pickish move, but I think that should have been first, like a flashback before the whole barista thing).
But even though this had a rocky start, the more I read on the more I got pulled into the story. It turned into a fun, crazy sweet tale, and the ending was every bit of that Christmas magical, cheesiness, you know and love. Mel’s character did grow on me, she turned out to be a pretty solid character and managed to carry the last half of the book.
Overall this book is a nice addition to any Christmas book collection. The plot was fun and unique. The writing was rich with detail and lush with engaging dialogue, even if Mel couldn’t understand what was being said half the time. That added barrier brings a nice layer complexity that really rounds out an otherwise predictable storyline. Those layers don’t stop there, because as Mel becomes more and more involved with her surroundings, things start to get interesting, because who needs one hot guy, when there can be.. two.
I hope you give this adventure a chance, so please take my high recommendation and my stamp of approval that, this book will have you wanting to book your own trip, on the off chance you’ll find love.

I have read a couple of books from this author and she always ends up surprising me. My favorite books are about Christmas and this author exceeded my expectations all over again. This is part of the Christmas Kiss series. They don’t have to be read in any order because they are a lot different couples. I was hooked on this book right from the beginning. It only took me a day to devour this magical book.
Mel loves her family and she can’t wait to spend Christmas with them. She is on her way back home when her mother tells she needs to go help out her Aunt in Spain. Mel finally gets to Spain and she is so lost. She doesn’t know much Spanish but she notices a very handsome man sitting next to her. When Mel gets to her Aunt’s house it not what she was thinking. It is anything but a beach vacation. She has animals to take care of and other chores. Mel gets help from this handsome stranger and she starts to feel some chemistry but can they get past the language barrier? Will Mel find something she never expected to find again, love or will she end up going home for Christmas alone?
I absolutely loved this book. This is the perfect book to get you into the Christmas spirit. It has everything you are looking for romance, humor, and love. You fall in love with these characters. Mel is so strong and loves her family so much. She will do anything for the person she loves. Lucas is the perfect gentleman. He can’t fight his feelings for Mel. The way he treats her will make you swoon. This author will have you at the edge of your seat until the end. I can’t wait to read the next book in this magical series.

So I’m not completely sure how many of this authors books I have read now but I know it’s been more than a few and that total will continue to grow. I love every single story I pick up by her.
This one had a completely different kind of story line, it was a quick read and the adventures with Mel never really let up throughout. It was fun watching her drop everything to fly to Spain to house sit for her aunt and she actually can’t wait to visit her aunts little house on the beach. The adventures start during her plane ride and just kept going.
I love fast moving quick reads and then add in a hot spanish guy and a grumpy neighbor and a whole boatload of chores she wasn’t expecting with Christmas fast approaching this turned out to be an awesome story, and I wondered all the way through how this book got its name and now I know.
I highly recommend this and any book by this author. She is an absolute favorite and I can’t wait to dig into Christmas Kiss #3

A Tangy Christmas Kiss By Allyson R. Abbott. I absolutely love Christmas stories. And this story definitely gave me all the warm feelings of the holiday. This author writes a story that has readers hooked from page one. While it’s on the shorter side I never felt it was lacking anything and it’s filled with sweet moments and entertainment. Mel and Lucas definitely have a connection that readers can feel and connect with. If you like Christmas romance stories then this is a must read and I can’t wait to read more from this author. I’m giving this book a four star review and highly recommend it.
