This is one of the most romantic books I have read in awhile. Katherine and Peter’s love transcends time. Peter knew her most of her life. The writing was beautiful and romantic. Her jealous piano player seemed to be a buzz kill and I sure wish they would have punched him out earlier. The transition between time periods seemed to flow effortless which kept the story going smooth. The characters were just so well written. Sasha and Pete were written to be supportive friends. It is such a great story that you must read it. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. This is a 2021 must read.

Journeys Through TimeSpace (Journeys Through Book 2) by James Talisman – Review by Melissa Saxton
Breathless and thrilling are the best terms to use to describe this 2nd installment to the Journeys series. This could be read alone but reading book one helped me better understand the characters.
Book two brings you through past present and future on a wild ride of surprises I found myself muttering “omg” out loud while reading. You will explore the multiverse theory in more depth and detail. You spend time getting to know the trio of college students from the first book and you will really love the tie into Atlantis! You will follow them learning time travel and journey to find ancient treasures. meanwhile a reptilian commander has his own plans and needs he will ruthlessly work to obtain. Mr Talisman brilliantly ties together each universe frequently flipping between characters as you read yet you never feel lost, or confused about what part of the story you are in or where you are reading about. you are fully engaged flipping pages to see what happens next!
This series truly has made me look at the world around me and its connections in a different way. I absolutely cannot wait for the 3rd installment and this is a MUST READ for any Sci fi lover out there! fair warning you will get lost in this series and lose track of time because you will not want to put it down!

This book is from a new author for me, and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t expecting to go on the journey that I did. It was quite a roller coaster ride. I loved it. She has a wonderful way of detailing her book so that you feel the realism in it. I know I certainly did. I thought she did a great job with the characters and I loved that she weaved the story between past and present. Her attention to detail throughout the story was amazing as she kept it so real. I literally felt that I was there. I will say that at first I felt it was dragging a little bit, but by the time I was finished with Chapter 2 I was hooked. And I couldn’t put it down. Of course, once it was finished I was begging for more. I honestly cannot wait to sink my teeth into the next book in this series.

When I finally finished book 1, I was ecstatic about book 2! I agree that this book was hard to put down and a great sequel to the first book. I can appreciate the way that James the author takes us to new places as I read the book! His writing is very descriptive and I could for sure are in my imagination the story unfolding. James does not disappoint at all in book two!

Love’s Refrain (The Stardust Duet, Book 1) by KG Fletcher. This is the first book in the Stardust Duet series and it was great. I love K.G. Fletcher so it was no surprise. This is the story of Kat who is a jazz singer and she has been gifted a locket by a stranger. When she looks into the locket there is a message in it and it takes her into a portal to another time. Once that portal is open the book goes between the 1940’s and present time. In the 1940’s she meets Phillip who is amazing and I fell a little in love with him. Kat is in the middle of WWII and singing at a theater where she meets Phillip a pianist. She has figured out that Phillip has all the answers she’s looking for. In the present day there is a current version of Phillip and Kat finds herself torn between the two. Will she figure out a way to get back to her normal life or will she decide to stay in the 40’s with the mysterious Phillip? Read Love’s Refrain to find out!

Love’s Refrain is Book 1 of The Stardust Duet. Readers follow Kat Monroe and Phillip Gordon on their journey of love and discovery. Initially when introduced to Kat’s character I worried that her personality would be written as a bit basic and predictable, but I quickly saw her character deepen and develop throughout the novel. A heart-breaking romantic tale of commitment through time, this is a lovely read to curl up with in front of a fire and disappear into.

Love’s Refrain (The Stardust Duet, Book 1) by KG Fletcher
5 +++++++ Stars
I’ll start by saying this book deserves so many more than 5 stars! I’ll also start by saying that my life is now suspended in time until October 26th, if anyone is looking for me I’ll be stationed in The Grand Theater in Whitley, Georgia I’ll be the one way up front pacing as I await the rest of this story!!
I’ll be honest, I had every intention of not finishing this book. I planned to get to the last chapter and stop. I wanted to read that on October 26th so that I could continue on without stopping. I couldn’t do it… I trusted this author, somewhere I read where she stated this book did not end on an actual cliff hanger, but more of an intermission. So in trusting that, I read on…Now here I sit…suspended in time!
I have read the famous time travel story by another author 4 times now, you know the one I’m speaking of, I have them all on my physical bookshelf on the top shelf, and have watched those books become a series on tv, which i’ve binged at least 3 times. That series has ruined me for any other time travel I have attempted to read. Until now!!!! I was so nervous going into this book, this author has literally become one of my top 3 favorites of all time and I was so scared. Well, this is why she is one of my top 3 faves. I can not even think straight right now. She took a whole new approach to this genre and BLEW IT OUT OF THE TIME TRAVEL REALM!! I’m in shock and loved this story so much. I loved the movie from long ago that for me actually started this time travel idea, I’ve watched that so many times and it’s an auto go to when I’m looking for a familiar movie to watch. This story has that feel to it, but in my opinion even surpasses that and I want this made into a movie so bad. I loved every word, every emotion that was brought out of me, I loved these characters, well, almost all of them and truly felt I was tumbling through with Kat everytime. The locket had me all messed up, and figuring that out is still rolling through my mind. I have theories on how this story will progress and eventually end and these will drive me nuts as I’m pacing this theater awaiting the release of the next.
I’ve rambled in this review and I’m sorry, but I still can’t even come close to explaining why every reader should grab this book and then buckle in and hold on!
Thank you Miss Fletcher for stomping my fears and giving me this story, I am in Love, and these will be right up there on my bookshelf, at the top and will be read many many more times in my future!

Be prepared to be on the edge of your seat as you travel right along with these characters on quite the epic time travel adventure. Love’s Refrain (The Stardust Duet – Book 1) by KG Fletcher is a sweet romance that takes you on a time travel trip. From the start the description of the Grand Theater and the way Kat Monroe reacted to all the renovations and old nostalgic momentous and posters had me captivated. What a gorgeous setting. Kat is a Jazz singer who is finishing up a world tour in her hometown. She feels so lucky to be returning to the Grand Theater in Georgia. When Phillip Gordon gives Kat a locket, she is unsettled until she finds a portal to a different time. Will the burden of time travel be something Kat and Philip can manage? Thank you Ms. Fletcher for such a beautifully written story of love.

Love’s Refrain is the outstanding first book in the Stardust Duet by KG Fletcher. I have been a huge fan of KG Fletcher for a few years and have devoured and loved everything she has written. For some reason I was a bit worried before reading Love’s Refrain that I would be put off by the time travelling aspect of the book. Well, slap me stupid as I should have known better that KG Fletcher can only write amazing books that blow my socks off. I absolutely adored Love’s Refrain. Kat and Phillip’s story is just amazing, both in the present day and when we are taken back to 1947. In fact, I think I enjoyed the parts set in 1947 the most, seeing how Kat and Phillip originally met and fell in love. I adored present day Phillip. He’s such a charming, sweet, adorable gentleman. I can imagine sitting listening to him talk for hours and being enthralled by him. Having had reservations before reading the book, I was instantly hooked by the story and totally engrossed in it. I really can’t wait to see what KG Fletcher has in store for Kat and Phillip in the 2nd part of this duet.

Throughout the entirety of this book, I felt like I was immersed in a movie. The detail in this book is immaculate. After the conclusion of book one, I could not wait to dive into this novel and I was not disappointed. As I was reading, I had a feeling something was going on with Matt and Julia, but I will not spoil the surprise here! By the way, Thomas is still the absolute worst, just in case anyone was curious.

Love’s Refrain: A Time Travel Romance by KG Fletcher is the first book in The Stardust Duet series. The book is a lovely romance involving time travel that kept me reading late into the night. Kat Monroe and pianist Phillip Gordon meet under unusual circumstances. Will they be able to overcome all the obstacles to find true love? This is a beautifully written tale of two people destined for one another. The time travel element reminds me of Somewhere in Time or something similar. Unfortunately, I wanted the best for the characters and had difficulty putting down the book to get some sleep. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

This a very cute time travel read! When I first started the book, I wasn’t sure how the time travel was going to be incorporated. The portal through the closet was a great way to bring time travel into the story! This book was sweet, and well written. It wasn’t corny at all. I enjoyed the author’s writing style.

This was a great sequel. It has less smut in it than the first book in the series. I definitely enjoyed reading the Egyptian storyline the most (side note: author please please write a book focusing on the Egyptian storyline). The world-building was just as good as it was in the first book. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. I highly recommend reading this series.

Katherine Monroe ends her national tour in her hometown. The Grand Theater had gone through renovations since the last time she had been there. It’s history now showing on its walls. One picture catches her eye, Phillip Gordon, who was he? She didn’t recognize the name. Opening night, Phillip comes to her concert, slips something into her hand, and leaves. Who is Phillip Gordon? What is the locket he slipped to her? Kat is determined to find the answers to her questions, but what will the cost be to her? How does Kat get through the portal to 1947? I loved the intrigue in this book. If you enjoyed Outlander, this is a book for you. Kat is very endearing, and Phillip is an old gentleman who has waited many decades for his true love to come back to him.

I loved her attention to detail with all the characters. Kat (Katherine) is a professional singer coming back to her hometown to finish off her tour at the Grand Theater. Unexpected turn of events, has her travelling back in time and then back again. As the story unfolds you absolutely fall in love with the characters. I can wait for the continuation of this wonderfully written and engaging story of Katherine and Phillip. If you have never read this amazing author before, this is the perfect book to begin.

This book felt like a love letter, a love letter going back and forth between two eras, 1947 and the current time. Kat is a jazz singer who is just finishing a tour when she meets a stranger who gifts her with a locket. She finds a message in the locket and stumbles upon a portal that takes her back in time. Then the saga switches between the two eras and you fly on the magic carpet when the leading duo pull you into the world of jazz and everything vintage and retro. It is a beautiful read, I loved every bit of it. Beautiful romance . Hats off !

The characters are beautiful, full of life, and easy to relate to. The story is about a young woman who is a jazz singer who is coming off a tour. She is approached by a stranger who gives her a gift. This gift is a locket. With this locket, there is a message and it has a portal that takes her through time. That is when the adventure begins. Love’s Refrain is book one in The Stardust Duet by K.G. Fletcher and is a time travel romance adventure story. Love’s Refrain is a beautiful heart-warming story told over the past and the present as our heroine travels in time. It is one of those stories that once read you have the desire to read all over again and not let go. These wonderful characters found their way into my heart. Once you start this book you will not be able to put it down. I enjoy KG’s easy flowing writing style.
It starts with a locket and a mysterious message and a portal that thrusts you back in time. It takes her on an unexpected journey where she finds a strange world where love, jealousy and war reside. One man but two different versions in two contrasting worlds.

This was a beautiful story. I really liked the way the time travel was done in the context of the plot. Kat and Phillip had a beautiful story. The author did a great job creating deep dislike for Spencer and creating a thorn in the side of Kat. I loved that the time travel was to the 1940’s and especially that the author compared Kat’s voice to that of Judy Garland at one point in the book. Definitely hit the mark for me. I look forward to reading Book 2!

This is my first time reading this author. I think that the author was very imaginative in how the love story played out. Especially, since there is time travel in the mix! The characters were written in a way that I was able to relate to them. The author also did a wonderful job of describing the present and the past in such a way that I could see what was happening without too much imagination. The love story is sweet and I wanted to see Kat and Philip together. This is the first book of two and I will be eagerly awaiting book 2 to find out how it all ends!

I really wasn’t sure that this is a book I woke enjoy. The description didn’t really grab my attention but because I know how good this authors work usually is I have it a try. And I am so glad that I did. I was blown away by the characters and their stories. I connected instantly with the tale the author was telling and everything in it. I read the book in the one sitting as I just had to see how it was all going to end. This is an amazing book and I cannot recommend it highly enough!

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I have picked up from her. They are well written stories where the author’s use of details give her stories a realistic feel. This book is no different. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the beginning. This is the first book in this new series and what a great start. This is a story about time travel with a steamy hero. Kat is a jazz singer who is just finishing a tour when she meets a stranger who gifts her with a locket. This is where things start taking off. She finds a message in the locket and on top of that she stumbles upon a portal that takes her back in time. You will want to know what happens next. The characters are connectable and engaging. They brought the story to life on each page and kept me turning pages to the end. I enjoyed the growth of the plot throughout the story. I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it.

Let me be the first to say, I’ve never read a book with time travel in it. I was drawn to the synopsis of this book though and I was mesmerized. The story line was breathtakingly beautiful. I would be so upset for missing out on this book. Kat and Phillip will pull you into their beautiful story and you won’t want to leave. I look forward to the next books!!

I cannot praise Love’s Refrain enough! It was an absolutely spectacular read!! True love and true longing wrapped up in a beautiful musical bow. The angst can be intense at times but it is so worth the ending! It made me swoon. One of the best love stories I have ever read.

This a such a beautifully written romance. It captivated me from the beginning. The author does an amazing job of describing the scenes, the music, the clothes of the era that you actually feel like you are reliving it in the present.
This isn’t your usual romance, the time travel element makes the story of love all the more amazing and beautiful. The fact that Phillip has held onto his love for Kat for all these years is amazing.
When Kat meets Phillip she has no idea of the past they shared together until she is transpoted back to 1947 and the true story of her life and her love for Phillip is revealed.
It is an amazingly written story which has so many elements to it that make it unique but the one constant is that love can withstand any test of time.

Love’s Refrain is the first book in The Stardust Duet By K.G Fletcher. This is something a little different to the other books of Ms. Fletcher’s that I have read, in that it is a time-travel romance- some of the elements may be a bit different but this has Ms. Fletcher’s distinctive style stamped all over it, as well as the musical connection that she loves to include in her stories. This story follows Kat Monroe, a jazz singer, who has returned to her hometown for the last performances of her latest tour. She may not live in the town anymore, but she feels that she ‘owes’ this to her fans, performing again ‘where it all began’. But she really isn’t prepared for what happens next. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she is gifted a mysterious locket, and then finds herself transported through time to 1947…. And through Ms. Fletcher’s clever and imaginative storytelling, the era comes to life through her wonderfully descriptive scene setting and attention to detail. What happens next held me completely captivated- I loved every minute of this wonderful story, and I really can’t wait to dive into the second book.
