Love’s Refrain is the first book in The Stardust Duet By K.G Fletcher. This is something a little different to the other books of Ms. Fletcher’s that I have read, in that it is a time-travel romance- some of the elements may be a bit different but this has Ms. Fletcher’s distinctive style stamped all over it, as well as the musical connection that she loves to include in her stories.
This story follows Kat Monroe, a jazz singer, who has returned to her hometown for the last performances of her latest tour. She may not live in the town anymore, but she feels that she ‘owes’ this to her fans, performing again ‘where it all began’. But she really isn’t prepared for what happens next. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she is gifted a mysterious locket, and then finds herself transported through time to 1947…. And through Ms. Fletcher’s clever and imaginative storytelling, the era comes to life through her wonderfully descriptive scene setting and attention to detail. What happens next held me completely captivated- I loved every minute of this wonderful story, and I really can’t wait to dive into the second book.

Thank you, K.G Fletcher!
