Cursed Luck (Broderick Coven Book 5) by AJ Renee – Review by Deb Robinson

Cursed Luck (Broderick Coven, #5)Cursed Luck by A.J. Renee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed the continuing story of the Broderick Coven. All the brothers and sisters have such unique personalities, the author does a great job of portraying throughout all the books. This is the story of Mia and Edward. Mia grew up as a hippie/ flower child with an affinity for earth magic while Edward was a total loner after his dad died. He even pulled away from his growing family of siblings and their mates. Edward has the talent of helping others succeed. Mia and Edward could not be more opposite but when love is in the air, who knows what is going to happen to this dynamic couple. I’m not going to give the ending away but book 6 will be on the horizon. I’m excited to see what happens next.

4-stars

Cursed Luck was a great paranormal read! This is the 5th book in the series, a series that should absolutely be read in order. Each new book follows the last with the same characters so for reader enjoyment it should be read in order.

These two are probably my favorite characters of the series so far, they have such great chemistry that could easily be felt throughout the pages. I love how this author has created a truly original world, one with just the right amount of drama, mystery, love, humour and captivating detail.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for their next paranormal read.

I was excited to finally read Edward’s story. I had always wondered about him and Ms. Renee didn’t disappoint me. I sat down planning to read a chapter or two before I did some housework and I ended up reading the book all the way through. I loved Mia. She is everything Edward needs and more. They have to decide if they are ready to face things together or not. Read to find out more.

Cursed Luck

A.J. Renee has done it again! Cursed Luck is a great read full of Broderick style romance, introducing new powers and family members! Edward, can still remember the loss of his mother… And feels anything but lucky – in life and romance. The only skill he seems to have is a flair for intuition, and he’s learned to listen to it to help his clients find success.

Until he meets Mia, his match in more ways than one. Her powerful Earth magic, in fact everything about her confuses Edward.

Best to read it yourself, and find out the adventures these two get up to, and how Edward learns to be grateful, for his Cursed Luck. The 5th book in the Cursed Series, does not disappoint

Cursed Luck (Broderick Coven, #5)Cursed Luck by A.J. Renee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Book #5 of the Broderick series gives us Edward’s story. He is very much a handsome loner, and he is mated to the beautiful free spirit known as Mia. There is much to learn about Edward and Mia who did not expect mates or when they found their mate to go thru so much opposition with them. They have the attraction but continue to fight the pull until they can no longer do so. I adored them both and I started to fall in love with Edward as well lol.
Edward and Mia were a very unlikely couple. Both had a lot to understand about the mate bond and the depth of the emotions/feelings the bond would bring. They agree to take things slowly, but its unclear if they will ever accept each other as mates.

Cursed Whispers (Broderick Coven, #3)Cursed Whispers by A.J. Renee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book #3 in the Broderick Coven series and I adored it! This book took me all over the place emotionally. There were many parts I could not stop smiling, and then there were others that I wanted to break down and cry. Max and Claudia’s story was beautiful and bittersweet at the same time.
Max was a witch and Claudia was a werewolf. To be mates was being outside of the same species was a rarity, but a gift all in itself. Claudia was on the run with her daughter from her abusive captor. She was bruised and broken mentally and physically and felt she could never be a mate to anyone. The damage was intensive and she did not believe she would ever successfully move forward until she was brought into the Alumbra Wolf pack. There she found a true family and Max. Max was patient, kind, and was willing to wait an eternity for Claudia if he had to. It was a great story and truly emphasized that when you find your mate nothing and no one will stop fate, and no matter what they have endured that love and time can help heal wounds.

Cursed Sight (Broderick Coven Book 2) by AJ Renee- Review by Lauren West

Cursed Sight (Broderick Coven, #2)Cursed Sight by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story was amazing from start to finish. A great paranormal tale by AJ Renee that is both original and imaginative. It had the perfect amount of romance and suspense all enclosed with many twists and turns you did not expect in this paranormal tale.
Ethan and Serena are both witches. Serena is a High Priestess and Ethan an Oracle. While Ethan’s powers are new and something he surely needs help to navigate it is one of the reasons that they come together. Serena is very powerful, the head of her coven, and the perfect person to help Ethan expand his powers. When Ethan begins to have dreams/visions of Serena in danger that is when the story truly begins, and you want to stop to miss a thing. While it was easy to warm to Ethan it took awhile for me to feel the same for Serena, but once I did I loved the idea of them and the chemistry they shared. This is witches and magic at its finest, and was all in all a great story.

Curse Luck is the fifth book in the Broderick Coven series by AJ Renee. I highly recommend reading the previous books in the series as you enjoy this book even more. The storyline is captivating with all the romance, magic, danger, and witches. The characters are complex in nature and relatable. This is Edward and Mia’s story. It is their relationship that kept me turning the pages quickly because I needed to know what was going to be coming next. Can these two grow together or will they be torn apart? I highly recommend this book but be prepared because you may not be able to put the book down.

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven Book 4) by AJ Renee – Review by Tamisha Janay

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven, #4)Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh, Carter. This book went by a little too quickly for me. I love the characters and the development of the relationship, but I didn’t feel like I had enough from either side this time. We start with Vanessa who is suspicious of everyone and everything because she can sense that there is more out there than what meets the eye. She is seeing eyes change color, amongst other things, and is mentioning it out loud – likely in the company of someone she shouldn’t be. She brings her neighbor into the ER because he’s been injured and luckily for her (and the neighbor) Carter happens to be there to lend a healing hand. There is the ever-present undeniable connection between the two of them that can only mean one thing. But how can Carter’s mate be mortal? There is a target on her back and so many secrets are left to be uncovered. That mate connection is something that is inevitable and always in control over rational thought, but I felt like their story moved a bit quicker than the others. Prepare for some revelations, brand new characters, and both happy and eye-rolling moments. Add in some meddling from the constantly growing Broderick clan and this story can only have one type of ending: a happy one. Although I wish this story had been more fulfilling like the others, I will not be stopping my read-through of this entire series. AJ has captured my full attention with this world and I’m excited for what is yet to come!

Another page turner in the Broderick Coven series! This book follows Carter, the brother who is a doctor and can heal people. There were sometimes I was a little lost with all that was happening, but the story pulled me in and I finished it in a few days. Vanessa is tough and just what Carter needs in his life. This book was full of even more magic, new characters to learn about, and the big family dinners that pull the characters together. This story turned the steamy romance up a notch too.

EDWARD! Yet another of the Broderick clan with an amazing ability. He has an intuition that allows him to know just the right things to say or do to help his clients become more successful. Unfortunately, he also tends to insert his foot directly in his mouth when he comes face to face with his chosen mate. We meet Mia in book 4 of the Broderick Coven series. She has such a free-loving personality and is enamored by him at first glance at the beginning of this story. Once again, mates don’t necessarily have to be of the same ‘species.’ Edward has spent much of his life feeling like the outcast of the family and thinking that he would never find his true place or the love of his life like the rest of his siblings have. Mia is the daughter of nature-loving parents who – unfortunately – care to spend more time communing with nature than taking care of or being with their daughter. The fact that fate decided to bring them together made me happier than I imagined I would be going into this story. There are normal couple squabbles and a few misunderstandings, but the fact that this book brings out the sweet and caring side of Edward made it all worth it. I love this couple and I have loved every single one of these books. I am now on the edge of my seat awaiting the next installment and cannot wait to see what is in store for the rest of the characters! AJ – seriously, great job! If you haven’t picked this series up, please do! Start with the beginning book and immerse yourself in a wonderful world with amazing characters.

A new story focusing on another brother from the Broderick family of witches! In each book the author changes point of view to a different brother and the magic that they are learning to use. Max can speak to animals which is a fun way to see into the minds of the animals he treats and the werewolf he finds in the woods. This one was interesting with the werewolves so involved in the story and learning more about the pack life. I like the large family dinners and how they are so protective of each other. I can’t wait to read the next book!

Cursed Luck was a really good read! This was a quick and easy read. I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet, romantic, steamy edition to the Broderick Coven Series. Each book gets better and better I think but I still can’t figure out which installment was my favorite. I was easily lost in this book. When I picked it up I hardly wanted to put it down, the pages just flew by. I loves reading Edward’s story and finally getting some details on the most mysterious of the Broderick brothers. I hope there is another book in this series, but I did see at the end where Renee is starting a series on the Alumbra pack and definitely can’t can’t to read those when they release!

This was the first book that I read in this series and will need to go back and read book one to learn more about the family and the back story. The series is about a family of witches who just learned that they have powers. This book follows one of the brothers, Ethan. I love the family and all of the characters. I also loved learning more about the high priestess since I haven’t read much about them in other books. If you like witches, werwolves, magic, and some spicy romance then you need to read this book series!

Cursed Luck is the fifth book in the Broderick Coven series. I haven’t read the previous books, but I could pick up on the story between these two characters pretty quickly. Knowing the other characters from previous books probably would give it more depth, though.

I related to the Edward character a lot. Not having a filter when speaking can make it difficult to form strong bonds with people. I liked Edward’s magical ability It’s not one you see very often in these types of stories.

If you like fated mate stories, this series is for you. The attraction is pretty much there from the start and then there is the push-pull of drama around the connection.

Cursed Luck is another great addition to the Broderick Coven Series! It just focus more on the romance side of paranormal romance with significantly less action than in previous books. The love story however, is much more realistic!! Mia is one badass witch with the strength to stand up for herself and for those she loves! With powers to boot!! I am SO excited to find out what happens next in the first of the Alumbra Pack series!!

Cursed Luck by A.J. Renee is funny, witty and romantic. Edward and Mia are fated to be together; but, like a lot of us, they tend to fight or misunderstand what the signs are telling us. They have chemistry and man, do they fight it. I fell in love with this couple watching their interactions. Mia is fascinating because of her earth powers! The garden she created for Serena… Fantastic!!! Edward is pretty fascinating because his powers are just WOW!! I can’t even describe them. These two go through some intense adventures and if they can come out good on the end of the trials then maybe there is hope?! This whole series is great. Edward amid Mia just round out this whole family. You have got to get out and purchase this book, better yet, the series. Highly recommend.

Edward meets Mia at a gathering of family and friends. Their interest was immediate. Unfortunately, Edward forgets how to speak to a woman and he ticks her off more than anything else. Mia is a free spirit and Edward is so serious and stiff. Opposites attract? This is a great story of witches, family and the life you can have if you can allow yourself to accept fate.

Cursed Luck is the first book I’ve read by AJ Renee, despite being Broderick Coven book 5. I enjoyed the book from the very first chapter. The author paints a very vivid picture and I felt the words playing out like a movie in my mind.
I really enjoyed Mia and Edward as characters and the book in general sparked my interest in catching up on the series. Even though this is an excellent stand alone read, I always feel like I’m missing out when I jump into a series without knowing the background of supporting characters from books prior. I would give Cursed Luck ⅘ stars and I look forward to adding this author to “my authors to look out for” list.

This is book 5 in the Broderick Coven series and these books keep getting better and better. Like the previous 4 books it is a paranormal romance which lots of surprises and magic. I love the whole idea of soul mates and how the characters are destined to find their one true love.

The main characters in this are Edward and Mia. Edward is part of the Broderick Coven. His magical power is luck. He has intuition skills which makes him very successful in business. But love isn’t for him..and he doesn’t plan on looking for it.

However when the beautiful florist/witch called Mia comes into his life all that changes. But things aren’t plan sailing.
They both seem to rub each other up the wrong way. Can this love/hate relationship settle to just love or are they destined to make each others life hard forever?

This is the fifth book in the Broderick Coven series. A whole family of witches, unusual, but true. This is the story of Edward, who is the distant brother. He gets asked to help a friend out, Mia, with her floral shop, make it better. Edward’s magic is just knowing what a business needs to make it more successful. Unfortunately, he cannot keep his foot out of his mouth when he is around Mia. His family has recognized her as what she is…his mate. Will they be able to accept that they are mates? Can he help her with her floral shop or tear her down with his bluntness?
This was a great story, I am drawn into the family, with all their differences they above anything else love and respect each other. This is what I long for with my family. The closeness, the unconditional love, the interfering with each other’s lives. Thank you, AJ Renee, for another great read!

Cursed Luck (Broderick Coven, #5)Cursed Luck by A.J. Renee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cursed Luck is book 5 in the Broderick Coven series. This series must be read in order as it follows the lives of the Broderick siblings. Cursed Luck stars Edward Broderick, the lone wolf of the siblings. Edward believes he is destined to be alone. His powers of “luck” are soley reserved for the people he can help and not himself. Mia is a character from previous stories and while she too is a witch, she connects her powers through the earth and nature.

While there is no real “bad” guy in this story Edward and Mia must battle their own personal demons to find their happily ever after.

Many sexy scenes, so not recommended for those under 18 yrs. I always enjoy reading the stories by AJ Renee and look forward to the rest of the siblings stories!

I have enjoyed this entire series immensely!!
Though, I do have to say this is one of my favorites. Magic and love are a beautiful mix. Edward and Mia are as different as can be. She is a free spirit and he feels like he has all the answers. Their personalities clash is an understatement. Though, they are exactly what the other needs despite what they may feel. This story will have you sucked in. Hang on for the magic, chaos, and love. You won’t regret it! Read the rest of the series while you’re at it!!
