Credence woods written by Alexandria Sure was a good slow and savory type of read. It’s not one that pulls you in instantly, it has a slow build but there’s a lot of personal thoughts in it from Kennedy’s point of view. Her self doubts, fears, everything. It makes you stop and think about things and how you treat people along with the inner scars versus the outer. Max is a true southern gentleman throughout the story, he did have one flaw at the end and it was a big one to me. It does give you a happily ever after which is good based off of all the emotions you hit with Kennedy. I loved Hank, he added a funny and more relaxed feel to the story with his demanding ways.

Credence Woods is a stand-alone novel from author Alexandria Sure. This is my first read from this author and I loved every bit of this book.
I was captivated and couldn’t put this read down. This author has created an amazing writing style and some brilliant characters that really influence the story and me while reading it.

This book really made its way into my heart, I loved going along with Kennedy’s journey of self-discovery and trying to overcoming her insecurities. I loved her personality, her passion – there was just something about her I felt connected with from the start and would love to have her as a friend. Max, ticked all the right boxes for me from the get-go! There was nothing I could fault about him except where could I find myself a version of him. These two connected in the most unique way – but then to be brought together again in what could have been an awful accident truly proved something was real between them. These two hit it off from the start and their connection was undeniable and was amazing to see both of the let there walls down especially Kennedy with the stories from her past and the reasons for some of their decisions.

My only issue with this read was one, I’m sure there was a time jump within the story but it wasn’t made clear – one minute it seemed like a current thing then something was mentioned about the three months spent together and it kind of jumped. I would have liked that smoother and more known to the reader. Also, the ending seemed choppy, compared to how the rest of the book was.
But with that being said none of these things put me off and I loved this book anyway! It was heartwarming, emotional, lovable and just a brilliant romance read!

This book also has some amazing secondary characters that help tell the main character’s story even more – can we point out how incredible Hank is! Who wouldn’t want a friend or assistant like that?

This is a read that should be read by all. You will love these characters from the minute you meet them and stick with them through their journey until the end! Do not miss this read!

Credence Woods by Alexandria Sure is a great story about finding oneself. It’s emotional, relatable and entertaining. Kennedy’s character is one that really intrigued me as she continued to battle her darkest insecurities and tried to find herself. It took me a little while to figure out that I had previously read about Kennedy in Alexandria’s book In the Pursuit of Charity. Once I came to that realization I enjoyed her story even more than I did before! With that being said I would recommend reading In The Pursuit of Charity before starting this one in order to better understand her character.

I was so entertained by her inner ramblings as she questioned everything, however, at times I found the story hard to follow as one conversation or thought quickly jumped to another, but this didn’t take away from the overall story.

I look forward to reading more form this author in the future!

Credence Woods, by Alexandria Sure, is a contemporary romantic comedy. This story was a riot to read, but at the same time, there is a lot of self discovery that is part of this story – moving on from the past and finding who you truly are apart from any misconceptions. I could not put this story down and read it in one sitting. I have previously read several other novels by this author and this one is my favorite, by far. Talk about one sexy alpha male that you can just feel the southern gentleman vibe dripping off of him – truly delicious. Kennedy is one independent woman that wants to stand on her own, not to obligated to another man – but you can feel that something about Max just changes all of that. This story was a ride I was ready and willing to embark, completely unforgettable!!

This is the first book I’ve read by Alexandria Sure and based on the blurb, it fit right in my wheelhouse. The story is about a woman who is at the top of her game yet still feels like she is lacking, due to “scars” from her past. It also is the story about a man who is a “southern gentleman” and knows what he wants in life.

The story line is a bit jagged at times, I feel like there was something I should know about a past relationship but don’t so it took me out of the story and made me go back to re-read to see if I missed something. I had not. Also, there is an established group of girlfriends and the story is written as if I already know their backstory. I’m assuming this book is part of a series.

This was a decent story and I enjoyed it in general. It’s a sweet romance that is a bit “too sweet” at times. I want to state that this could 100% be the mood I am in and I did not take away any points for this. It felt like the book wanted to be something darker, but the author didn’t want to take it “there”.

While this particular book is not one that I would re-read, I would read another book by this author.

Credence Woods is the first book I’ve read by Alexandria Sure. I was really excited to see where this story would lead as I read the synopsis and the blurb about the author and felt this could be a truly relatable, heartwarming read.
I am pleased to say I wasn’t disappointed in Kennedy’s story. The book read quickly and kept me interested from start to finish. Kennedy is, much as I had hoped she would be, a relatable character. I love that throughout the book we are exposed to Kennedy’s inner dialogue, sometimes comical and other times just so real, giving us a glimpse into her insecurities and self esteem issues.
The secondary characters throughout the storyline are also fantastic, and we can’t forget Max. The relationship between he and Kennedy is truly real. I feel like I’ve used the word “real” so many times in this review, but to me that’s what this story is. It’s heartwarming with characters that have true depth, you are rooting for them all the while seeing parts of yourself in them.
I’ll definitely be looking into more of Alexandria Sure’s writing. Rumor has it there is a book prior to this one that introduced us to our leading lady, not sure how I missed that one but it’s definitely on my to be read list.

This was my first time reading anything by Alexandria Sure. I wasn’t’ sure what I was going to get but as soon as I saw this gorgeous cover I had to know what the story was. I am so glad that I picked this up. I now not only have a new author to add to my TBR list, but really enjoyed this read.

Credence Woods is a standalone novel that gives us an up close and personal glimpse at the life of Kennedy Hewson. Kennedy is going through a major life change. She just underwent weight loss surgery. What is she supposed to do now? She sticks to the routine and nothing more. That routine that gives her some source of security is about to be thrown off kilter. What will she do? Will she make the right decisions or will she end up walking away from the happiness she could have had?

I will say one thing though, Kennedy did get a bit on my nerves for a bit. I wanted to find a lot to connect with in her given I am a curvy woman and know what it is like to have self-doubt and other issues with image and weight. I don’t know she was just whiney about it more than she was inspirational about it to me personally. Otherwise the story was great and well written and I can’t wait to see what else is available from Alexandria Sure, and what else is to come in the future.

Credence Woods by Alexandria Sure is a new age romance story. Ms. Sure has a great talent for pulling me into the story, but I have to say it took a little longer than my previous books. One big reason is that I can relate to Kennedy more than I want to admit. Kennedy was a wall flower. She was overweight and she kept to herself so that she could focus on her career. She is a workaholic and she hasn’t been vacation in a long time. She ends up going to Tennessee and that is where we would say she had an epiphany. She meets someone special and now she does not know what to do. . Kennedy needs to figure out what she wants and needs. Will she go back to her lifestyle or will she stay in Tennessee? You will have to read the book to find out.

My Rating: 3 of 5 stars

Credence Woods by Alexandria Sure was a light hearted, okay read, that had lots of good feels.

My first read by this author, and I must say I liked the writing style and the overall plot line. I’m not much of a reader of the contemporary romance scene. This one was okay, it kept my attention and it had a lightness to it, that made the story go by quickly. I will say that, as much as I liked the overall story, it did, for me at times, fall short and feel dull.

When I say this fell a little short for me, It was more along the lines of, toned down drama, or lack of it. I’m not a big drama person, but at the same time, if you don’t have any or hardly any in your story, it gets that dull feeling. Sure there was some, Kennedy hitting a deer, meeting the ex, (which had to be the weirdest non-conflicting confrontation ever) the whole Max thing in general. But, just when you think the author is going in for a knock out, it pulled up short, and it was more like a light pinch, then a bee sting. For me, the most exciting thing was the opening. That held so much potential, but, again, just not quite enough.

Overall this is a very enjoyable read, as I said it has lots of good feels, the writing is easy to follow, the tones matched the scenes, and it has thick body image themes and stresses the positive, learning how to accept yourself faults and all, message. Max is a dream guy, and I wish to hell he was real. Could use me one like that..lol. But it all seriousness, I believe everyone will find something to like about this book. It’s a fairly quick read, and good for a lazy day, when you’re looking for something to warm your heart and put you in a good mood.

So please take my recommendation and my stamp of approval that you will get lost in this heartwarming romance.

Happy Reading

Credence Woods is a contemporary romance by Alexandria Sure. This is the first book I have read by Ms. Sure, and I hope to say the first of many. This book hooked me from the very first page. I just couldn’t put it down. This book and the main character Kennedy real hit a soft spot with me. I really felt a connection with Kennedy. Insecurity is such a hard thing to overcome, and I think this story handled the subject extremely well. I love Max! He is definitely my new favorite book boyfriend. This book brought out great emotions for me. You can really feel Kennedy’s struggles with self confidence, and the witty way she thinks made me laugh out loud. I would highly recommend this book to everyone. I’m looking forward to reading more from Alexandria Surein the future.

Credence Woods by Alexandria Sure – Review by Angela Hayes

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Credence Woods by Alexandria Sure is a great read- a contemporary romance with angst, emotion, and drama. It’s a sweet, tender, heart-warming story that was true to life, realistic, and relatable.
Kennedy Hewson lives her life on fast-forward. A successful property sales executive whose life revolves around her work. She’s so focused on her career, she has little time for anything else, let alone a relationship. She’s worked incredibly hard to get to where she is and has the penthouse, clothing, shoes, and lifestyle to prove it. But she has a lot of scars, and not just physical ones, but also of her mind. Even with everything she’s accomplished, and how far she’s come- Kennedy is still stuck in the past and unable to move forward, no matter the ‘put-together’, confident image she presents to the world. She’s chronically insecure about her appearance and can’t escape the distorted image of herself that she has in her mind. Even after the weight loss surgery and workout regime that changed her life- she’s still stuck in her head- wanting and needing to leave her former ‘life’ behind, but unsure how to accomplish that. While on a business trip to Tennessee she has a car accident that wrecks her car, and results in Kennedy being rescued by a handsome local. He takes her back to his place to recover- turning her ‘scheduled’, compartmentalized, and organised life into chaos, right along with her heart.
Who is the handsome stranger you ask? What makes him perfect for Kennedy? Will the sparks between them ignite, or fizzle out? What happens when the job in Tennessee finishes up and she has to go back to Chicago- will it bring their budding relationship to an abrupt end? Will Kennedy ever be able to leave her past behind her and move forward and embrace her ‘new’ life? Your really should read this book to find out how it all plays out.
This was a lovely story. There was a lot of inner dialogue from Kennedy that really makes the reader aware of just how insecure she really is- her thought processes are quite negative and self depreciating. She frustrated me so much with how hard she was on herself and how unattractive she felt- when in reality, she was anything but. It all just made her all the more realistic and endearing. Max was just so perfect for her in every way… swoon. I will let you read all his scrumptious details for yourself- there’s nothing like a mysterious, sexy man to gain my attention!
There were a few minor issues that annoyed me just a little. Sorry, Ms. Sure…… The story seemed a little awkward leading into very ‘closed door’ sex scene/s- I felt that Kennedy was so honest and intimate with us in sharing all her body image issues and vulnerabilities- but then we get closed out when she’s being sexually intimate? It wasn’t that big of a deal, just a minor issue for me personally, which didn’t detract from the overall story, just made me question why. I also thought the drama that was added towards the end wasn’t really warranted, it felt like adding drama just for the sake of it. But I respect that I am NOT the author, and this is Ms. Sure’s story to tell however she wants. Just sharing my though process that’s all. I would also have liked to hear from Max, get his point of view and how he thought about things- as the story is told entirely from Kennedy’s point of view. I feel like we missed out from hearing what he had to say and learning more about him.
The characters are so well crafted, fully developed individuals who really added to the overall storyline. I absolutely love Hank, he is such a wonderful guy, a great asset and friend to Kennedy. I also loved Cora, she was a wonderful addition to the story. All their friends were great too- loyal, supportive and fun.
The story is a wonderfully romantic- with opposites attracting, overcoming obstacles, releasing body image issues, learning to love yourself, new beginnings, learning to ‘live’ again and embracing life elements that made this story hard to put down.
Looking forward to more from Ms. Sure.

Thank you, Ms. Sure!

Credence Woods by Alexandria Sure had me from the very beginning. There was something about Kennedy that I connected with. But she is so much braver than I am. If I were ever able to get the weight off and down to my perfect weight I don’t think I could do what she did.

There was a surprise for me while reading it but as soon as I discovered it a lot fell into place with me. I don’t know if it was intended by the author or not but just in case it was, you will just need to read the book for yourself.

There were a few things this book was about, but I feel it was about Kennedy growing comfortable with who she is now, forgetting who she use to be and allowing herself to fall in love.

I think if I had a problem with anything it was that I felt it was maybe a little rushed at the end but other that I wouldn’t change a thing.

This is my second book by this author and she blew me away with In The Pursuit of Charity, and then I read this one…I absolutely loved everything about this story. It deals with some real life things and some real life feelings and the start of this book totally threw me off, I was like hold it, I have to go back and read the synopsis LOL Then once it got going it made perfect sense.

Kennedy and Max…I don’t even know where to begin with these two, he was everything i want in a male lead and she was so completely awesome and so real as far as her feelings and her inner dialogue. I loved the way they interacted and OMG the “may I have this dance” took my breath away…and I want a Hank, no, correction I need a Hank 🙂

I absolutely love this author..Not sure what it is about her style but for me it is spot on and every word on every page was needed, no filler fluff stuck in there to make the story longer..It was awesome!

I absolutely can not wait to read more from this author and if you haven’t read anything by her yet, do yourself a favor and pick this book up, I just know you will love this as much as I did.

The story Credence Woods by Alexandria Sure is a romantic comedy book. It is a story that I loved reading. It hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. I loved reading about the character of Kennedy Hewson. Kennedy is a woman who has undergone a transformation with her weight and is also a workaholic. Her life is one of control and she has an amazing assistant who helps her. What happens when Kennedy meets someone and finds out that not all things in life have a control button, like the way that she feels when she meets someone unexpectedly? I found myself identifying with Kennedy about the way she feels about herself after she has lost weight. Is it possible that she may have substituted one set of insecurities for another? Kennedy’s story is also one that is at times humorous and I had a smile on my face. She and the unexpected one that she meets banter back and forth and I loved reading about their interactions with each other and those that they call friends. Read this book to find what happens between Kennedy and the one she unexpectedly meets and feels at home with. This is a wonderfully written story that I highly recommend reading. It is a story about confidence, insecurities, closure, and friendships that you will love reading.

Credence Woods is a standalone novel that follows Kennedy Hewson as she struggles to accept, and feel comfortable with, the person she has become. This story is all about self-discovery, acceptance and love, things which all of us should spend more time reflecting on. This can easily be a one-sitting read, it was for me, and is one of those reads that really grabs you. I really enjoyed Credence Woods and can’t wait to recommend it to others!

My favourite thing about this book is Kennedy. As far as leading ladies go, she has so many of the qualities that I love to read. She’s strong, fierce and independent but also has her own insecurities, which makes her so relatable. What woman hasn’t worried about their appearance at some point in their life? Having this connection and similarity with Kennedy immediately made me like her and want to know more about her story. And what an introduction we had to her life! I will admit, at first I really didn’t know where this story was going to go! A grimy club in Tennessee is not what I was expecting, and nor was Kennedy’s choice of activity! So then we saw her back in professional work mode, things became addictive; I had to know what kind of person she was. This book had so many surprises, I couldn’t stop myself from binging on it and finishing it all in one go.

Aside from Kennedy, there are some really wonderful supporting characters in Credence Woods. From Max, one of my new favourite American men, to Hank, I loved the characters Kennedy finds herself surrounded by. They are just as addicted as she is and I thank the author for taking the time to develop them so much.

Credence Woods was a fun, uplifting and romantic read that I enjoyed from start to finish. From the wonderful characters to unpredictable plot, I can definitely recommend this read to others. I’m excited to read more of this author’s work!

I literally devoured this book in one sitting. It is definitely one of those books people can relate to. I love how Kennedy is super successful within her business life and as well as her person life, for the most part, but there are things she struggles with that I think women have issues with as well, such as doubt in yourself and feeling worthless at times.

Kennedy leads a very structured life but I love how Max had a way of getting to her. She starts to question her strict life and the feelings for Max grows but that also brings the second guessing on everything.

I love how realistic this story was and I couldn’t get enough of it. Kennedy was so relatable and Max was just as amazing!

I know what it’s like to look in the mirror and think very little of myself the self doubt creeping in and the little voices telling me I’m nothing but when someone sees you in a complety different light it’s hard to wrap your head around it which is what you will find Kennedy she has all this self doubt will she believe in herself or believe what other’s see or will the little voices in her head win. I enjoyed this story so much, the main character really spoke to me from the very beginning and I felt an instant connection with her. Kennedy was such a relatable character and I think that there are going to be so many readers out there that once they start reading realise this. After I read the blurb I wasn’t sure I would find this connection but I really did. I loved reading her story, her good times, her bad, her struggles and her joy. It felt like I was reading her diary and her inner dialogue was so funny at times. I found the book to be such an engaging read that I read it in one sitting I couldn’t put it down at all.

Credence Woods by Alexandria Sure is a beautifully written love story. It’s most definitely an ‘opposites attract’ story. You could never imagine these 2 characters being together. I was totally drawn to the story from the very beginning and devoured the whole book in one sitting.
Kennedy Hewson is a high flying sales executive buying industrial properties and selling them on. She’s a total workaholic, city girl. Kennedy has previously undergone weight loss surgery and is now a shadow of her former self, although since losing the weight she still struggles with confidence and sees herself as a ‘fat’ person. While on a working trip to Tennessee, Kennedy has a car crash and is rescued by handsome local Max. Max takes Kennedy to his home to look after her and there is an attraction between them.
This is a beautiful story which portrays Kennedy’s journey to deal with her issues around her weight and her growing feelings for Max. Max who lives in a different state (a different world really!) who couldn’t be any more different from Kennedy if tried.
Can Kennedy overcome her self-confidence issues and realise that she is desirable? Can she give up the high powered city job that she has to live in the country? Will Kennedy and Max get the happily ever after that they both deserve so much? These and so many other questions are answered in this gorgeous story that I thoroughly recommend to others.
Before finishing this review I must add that there are some amazing side characters who add so much to this story, none more so than Kennedy’s personal assistant Hank. Hank is truly awesome. Everyone needs a Hank in their life!

This is a love story I haven’t heard before. I guess I never realized all the struggles someone would go through, dating after weight loss surgery. Even years later, Kennedy’s self esteem and body image are affected. Professionally and fashionably fierce, she’s in need of a boost in the rest of her life. Max is a sexy southern gentleman, a great book boyfriend, and just plain sweet. I really like him and how he makes her feel. I love her assistant too! This book is light on angst. It does get a little crazy near the end, but has a happy ever after. It was entertaining and enjoyable.
