If you think “ Killer Blonde” was nail biting and brilliant , brace yourself “ Killer Smile” was even better !

We always say that we need to trust our gut feel and I think when you’re a cop even more so and Cade is uneasy which can’t be good at all 🫣
and when he gets a call to go to University of Minnesota we soon find out why he trusts his gut

So Cade is well known for taking out the Blonde Klller and now he’s the centre of attention as a group of serial killers head to Minnesota to try and outsmart him ! There are sick puppies out there people ! This was the Reston he was called in , the university discovered a group on the dark web called Orbiting Cortex which is a site for serial killers and hold your horses here they socialise , swop our stories and ideas and that is how the challenge was created !?

This was a thriller of a read ! My stomach turned a few times and the last 20 mins or so had me being pretty vocal while reading , man there were a few surprises ! I also did get annoyed at a stage because Cade was made out to be incompetent and it’s just uncalled for but that’s life I suppose , we also caught up with some old friends and we also made new ones that formed part of the Five Below task force .

I’m definitely a fan and have shared with any one that has ears and asked what I was reading ❣️📚

Killer Smile is a Crime/Thriller with a bit of suspense that will have you on the edge of your seat turning the pages while trying to piece it all together. This is a new author to me and I’m definitely going to check out Killer Blonde as well. The attention to detail and relatable characters makes for a suspenseful story. This is a wonderfully written story about a race against time to find the serial killers. Detective Cade has found a dark website for serial killers and it seems he’s on the list and is being targeted. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. Im already looking forward to reading more from this Author.

I’m loving this series about Cade and his determination to solve the murders that are popping up in his area. This time, a group of serial killers have descended on Cade’s location and have challenged him. Cade, not one to back down from a challenge, puts together a task force and finds himself dealing with not one, but three, serial killers.

Another very well written story that I wasn’t able to put down until I finished! I enjoy the moments of levity scattered throughout this story, as parts of it were pretty intense. I look forward to more from this author!

I could not put this book down!! This is my first exposure to this author and he quickly has found a spot on my “favorite authors” list. The writing is very well done and the story is engaging from the first word. There are moments of levity scattered throughout but mostly, a hold onto your seat kinda thriller that is bound to keep the reader guessing until the end!

This is book two in the Killer series and does well as a stand alone novel. There plenty of crime, mystery, and murder to keep you pulled into the story until the end. Readers will enjoy this twisted game of cat and mouse. This is a little grittier and darker than Killer Blonde, which I enjoyed!!

What’s not to love when reading a crime thriller where a serial killer is involved? Killer Blonde doesn’t disappoint. Dawkins hours on his own dark path as he hunts down a serial killer who kills blondes on the highway. I haven’t read this genre of book where the killer takes to the highway. It’s interesting to read from the killer’s mind. The novel made me think twice about driving alone at night and looking in the back seat before I get in.

Amazing thrillride that keeps you guessing. There are soooooo many serial killers in this book. The whole idea of a dark website where the killers go to brag and talk to each other is fascinating.

After killing a local serial killer, Detective Cade Dawkins received a tip that on a dark website there had been a challenge issued. The challenge was to try to stump the detective. With this, two serial killers rolled into town and started hunting and leaving bodies to be found.

Cade is put in charge of a taskforce to capture these killers. He selects a ragtag bunch of folks to help him. In the end, each person’s unique quirks made them right for the taskforce and added in figuring out who the killers were.

So many twists and turns with non-stop action. Excellent read! Original and fresh.

The thrills are even better in this second book in the Killer Series, by Allan Evans. I thought that Killer Blondes was good, but this really excelled even beyond the great read the first book was. Not only is our Detective Cade Dawkins back but he’s got far more to handle on his plate than ever before. He successfully defeated the Blonde Killer in the first book in this series, and now he’s got to take on a group of serial killers who have all started working together online. They share ideas, tips, and even information as well as challenge each other, what a scary group to have to take on for our hero detective. Turns out two of these serial killers have decided to meet up and work together, giving Detective Dawkins, a lot more to manage in his city than he’d ever bargained for. Will he be able to take on this intimidating challenge or will the group be able to win their challenge and defeat the detective that was able to stop the Blonde Killer in their tracks? This is another amazing read by Allan Evans, you do not want to pass up this excellent book series, especially if you love reading psychological thrillers!

Allan Evans’ book Killer Blonde was a great psychological thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat, scared to see what would happen next as a killer is on the prowl for blondes. The characters were perfectly developed, with no detail too small to be left out. It was as if I was right there watching the dead bodies as they were found by the investigators. This book had so many unexpected twists and turns, the killer was ingenious in the fact that they knew exactly what they were doing every step of the way, always two steps ahead of the detectives. I am a huge fan of psychological thriller novels, the chase of trying to find the killer before anyone else can be killed makes the story keep you reading right up to the very last page. I couldn’t put this book down; I was so scared that the detective would not be able to solve the murders before they got targeted themselves! If you love a good mystery thriller you will want to add this book to your next to read list.

A wonderful psychological thriller. There’s been a bounty set and that bounty is to bring Cade Dawkins to his knees. Who set the bounty? A site on the dark web in response to him taking down one of their own. Killer Smile follows Cade as he tries to bring down multiple serial killers who had their feathers ruffled when he killed one of their own. They are out to prove that he got lucky. That they(the serial killers) are smarter than him and they can prove it.
Discovered by two professors at the university they stumbled upon a call to show Cade Dawkins who really has the power. Asking various members to go to Minnesota to show him, he’s not that good. He’s not a hero.
Cade initially dismisses the warning till the first body surfaces. Now at the governor’s request he has been tasked to lead a task force to bring said killer down. What they didn’t expect was another body with a different signature, pointing to more than one killer to deal with.
The author wrote a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Turning the page and wanting more! So many questions and so many answers the biggest ones being:
How many women have to die?
How many killers are there?
Will Cade and his task force bring these killers and their site down, or will it be his downfall?
This book jumps around to various character point of views. Which is interesting and sometimes disturbing(depending on which killer it is), however it works wonderfully.
I, for one, have always been sucked into books like this. Typically profilers are the main characters in those. It’s nice to see a different angle taken on which direction the law enforcement is coming from. Give it a fresh take.
So what are you waiting for?!?

Hooks you in
This is a well executed psychological thriller. It’s dark, gritty storyline has twists and turns that you don’t see coming. This is the sequel to Killer Blonde and the storyline does make reference to events that occurred in the first book but the author does a great job of weaving in key information so it doesn’t detract from this story. I will definitely go back and read the first book though. I enjoyed the character interactions especially Cade and Rook they were like characters of a crime show. This book could easily be made into a movie or tv series. I look forward in this series. Recommend.

Darker and gritter. This is book two in the killer series and while I enjoyed the first book Killer Blonde this book kicked everything up a few notches. Once again, told from both sides, the detective and the killer or killers.
Picking up some time after the events of book one, Cade is back to the daily grind. Getting back to a normal day to day when he is notified of something not even, he could have predicted. A dark web page for serial killers. Not only that but they give out challenges and the newest challenge is to come to the twin city and take on Detective Cade Dawkins. When not one but two killers accept the challenge Cade’s worlds is set spinning as not only his life but the lives of those, he cares about the most are pulled into the twisted world of kill or be killed. As if that wasn’t bad enough Cade is also having to fight to keep his job when everything seems to keep going from bad to worse.
Did Cade get lucky with the killer blonde killer? Can he stop these new threats before it’s too late? How far will the killers go to “win”? Once again, the author shows their knowledge and attention to detail when it comes to the investigations and heinous crimes themselves, I feel like I am watching an episode of Criminal Minds play out on the pages and I’m searching for the clues to bring down the killer. Cade continues to evolve as the story gets more intense and he fights for all that matters to him. After racing through book one I tried to pace myself better with this one but failed epically as I was too engrossed to slow down. I had to know how it ends. I can’t wait to see what will come next and I hope to see book three in the series soon, to see what mystery Cade will overcome next.

Killer suspense with an intriguing story that keeps you searching for the answers. This is the first book I have read by the interesting Allan Evans. Spooky month always needs a good mystery or two and this book put the spooks into my daily routine for the next several weeks. Dual perspectives of Cade Dawkins and the killer keep you entranced in the mystery of Killer Blonde from start to finish.
Cade Dawkins is a seasoned detective with several big wins under his belt, but nothing could have prepared him for his biggest case so far. Several beautiful blondes are seemingly killed in “car accidents” across an area but the more he investigates the victims the more questions he has. These are not accidents but staged moments to throw him off the scent of a serial killer in the area. With each new discovery he feels the hope of finally stopping the killer but then something new is discovered that keeps him looking for the connection to stop him. The killer meticulously plans every detail, making sure that nothing is given away and the nothing is what it seems. The depth and reasoning behind their actions keep you on edge as you see the game of cat and mouse play out.
Will Cade find the killer in time? How many women will fall victim before the killer is stopped? Can Cade keep his friends safe? The plot and depth of the characters kept me hooked from start to finish. Making me really think about how aware I am of my surroundings as a single female when traveling at night. The author’s ability to have such developed and well-defined polar opposites keep the reader interested in seeing how each with evolve over the course of the story and trying to figure out how it will come to an end. Truly one of my favorite authors of the month and I can’t wait to start book two in the series, Killer Smile, and see what the detective will face next.

This was just brilliant ! My nails are chewed to the quick 🤫🫣my blood pressure has risen , I’ve hit out in a rash and I’m so grateful for my pink hair 🤣😉😜

If you’re blonde don’t read this because your next trip will be to the salon and not the grocery store 😱😉

This killer is smart which makes him even more dangerous and he seems to know how to leave no trace but Cade is hot on his heels and this feeds our killers murder lust even more , he’s loving the challenge but the girls are his gateway to the actual prize …. Cade 😱

Seeing the victims through the eyes of the killer had me on edge and I could smell their fear I kid you not ! From the victim’s perspective I could feel their fear , Evans writing style is superb !

While I was reading I’d share bits of it with anyone who’d listen and it piqued their interest because I got asked for updates and progress #truestory#

Every killer has a certain criteria but they also make a mistake , eventually and watching Cade pit the puzzle pieces together was brilliant and I can’t wait to devour more of this mastermind and his work ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Killer Smile by Allan Evans is my first read by this author, and I was not the least bit disappointed! I didn’t know that this was actually book 2 of a series, and it was easy to read as a stand-alone book. The author has a unique writing style that draws you in and keeps you entertained! I really enjoyed his attention to details that was really important in making his story feel realistic. To me this book was a well written story about a detective finds himself in a race against time to find a group of serial killers. Cade (the detective) happens to find a web site for serial killers, and the most interesting find is that he is one of the targets! You will have to read the book to find out what happens to Cade and the group of serial killers. This book was very entertaining and engaging and was hard to put down! I love a good murder mystery / thriller and this one did not disappoint. It featured a killer with a devious mind – who planned out and executed those plans in incredibly interesting ways. I liked how this story took the idea of the killer being part of a larger agenda. Cade Dawkens was a well written, well developed investigator and the case contained many twists and turns. Several of which that surprised me. This was truly a fantastically written thriller in which everything seemed to be thought of. I thought that both the killer and the investigator were well developed and did not come across as contrived. I thought that the plot moved at a great pace and that the various twists came a at great times and definitely kept me wanting to read. So, we’re back with Cade, but this time he’s running a task force. This book is a little bit more detailed and can be a little bit more heavy than the first book, but I gotta say that the humor mixed in with it reminded me a lot of Hotch and Morgan from the show Criminal Minds. I did love this book as well, as a second time reader of this author, I was very impressed with the book and the series.
