If you haven’t read book 1 in this series, you definitely need to. This one is just as much, if not even more of a tear jerker then the first part of Tori and Will’s story is. I went through so many tissues reading this story, the author does such an amazing job of giving a full picture of what a struggle battling cancer is and just how messy it gets. It made my heart so happy that Tori was there for Will every step of the way encouraging him and doing everything humanely possible for him even though she didn’t know if he would survive. They both open up their hearts and love and fight with everything they have not knowing just how much time they might have left together. Their love story is breathtaking, and the kind of love that everyone hopes for. Tori and Will go through so much together and this book is definitely an emotional roller coaster ride where I was scared to see what would happen next but also hopeful and the ending was so beautiful that it was worth all the tears along the way.

What an ending to a great duet. The first absolutely MUST be read before reading this book. This novel deals with cancer and the struggle to live in spite of all the pain and medical procedures one must endure during treatment so some of the material may be sensitive to some readers. I love Will and Tori’s journey yet I thought it felt a bit unrealistic. Being a nurse myself I have seen these things go down in real life. I felt the author could have done a bit more research into Lymphoma and the treatment of it as well as the real patient experience prior to writing this duet. (Which is why I only gave this 4 stars) That said the story line is fast paced, emotional and leaves you truly caring about all the characters even the supporting characters. Definitely worth the read!

This one was even better than the first I would say! This one was more dependent on the character traits and their love, it was very real, this is a story I shall not forget anytime soon, the emotions, they were so real, I felt so many things, the tears I shed were real, it was a emotional read, but a very good read!

Tori and Will had a love like no other in the previous. In this one Tori gets hope within her that Will may have a chance to beat this cancer and they can have the life they dreamed of. Is hope enough though? Is these extra trials something Will would really want? Will gives everything his all, but sadly things take a worst turn with regards to his immune system. It was heartbreaking to see Will and Tori fighting so hard for their love, knowing they may never get the life they dream of and deserve. I loved the more depth we got of them both as characters, I felt I knew Tori and Will, but as I read on they were more amazing than I ever thought possible. The love they had and shared was real, and it was better than any love story I could have ever hoped for.

I cried a lot while reading, there was sad and heartbreaking moments and there was beautiful moments as gorgeous as a new say sunrise! Their love was real, and it was an amazing read, and this is a story I will not let go of for quite some time. This book taught me things I needed to remind myself about life and love. It was a breath taking book and beautiful. I wish the novel could have lasted longer, I was co connected to them and the other supporting characters, this was a love story that some of us really want but only get to imagine and long for! Tori and Will though they met under circumstances that were not the ideal or what was expected, the outcome went beyond that and more. Their love and connection was beautiful and real. It was real. Read this and feel those emotions, I speak of, you will understand…

Again this emotional impact of a story is one that is not to be missed. It is a book everyone should read. It really sucks you in and takes you feel things and think on things you never thought possible. The love was shining through the pages of this amazing book. Will and Tori were a dynamic duo that met when they least expected, even if the timing was not right, their love was. It was a story that made me cry and and again, but made me feel so much bliss at the same time. Please read this, you wont regret it

Oh my goodness! This sequel to Embrace Tomorrow does not disappoint. A ride on the emotional roller coaster. I found the quick recap by the author very helpful for those that have read the first book. The trails and challenges faced by Tori and Will will take you through every emotion, you will even find yourself tearing up. These guys have been through so much. They have a terrific group of friends. The story is written in such a way that you feel part of it. It truly resonates with you. If I didn’t have a kiddo to take care of, I would have finished this book in one night because I would have stayed up reading. It is that good. I highly recommend this series. Another of my 2021 favorites.

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow Duet Book 1) by Amy Argent – Review by: Jennifer Bartholomae

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow, #1)Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’m always one for a good romance and this one felt like it followed the typical romance plotline BUT I felt like it also carried more substance than a lot of romance novels do with the addition of the illness. This is one of the few books I’ve read recently that really pulled me in and had me attached to the characters from the jump.

Tori works as a hospital psychologist and has taken up the duty of helping certain patients walk through their end-of-life journey. Though it isn’t easy to do, she holds the mission dear to her heart. Her friend Jenny who works in oncology brings her in on a case and she meets Will, a young man, who is dying of cancer and from his viewpoint has nothing left to live for. So much so that he has signed a DNR and managed to push all of his friends and family out of his world, in order to spare them the pain of watching him die. He keeps Tori at arms length at first but as she continues to work with him he begins to soften and she is able to help him understand that pushing people away is hurting him more than anyone else. As they work together they form a friendship and eventually a relationship.

It is a very sweet romantic story given the state of the patient and, while it has its moments, keeps the over-the-top lustfulness to a minimum which was refreshing to me. The book is ended with a cliffhanger good enough that I immediately bought the second book. The book is well written and well researched and has a very good grasp on the cycle that dying patients and their loved ones go through in the end. I was drawn in by the characters and kept turning pages because of the great storyline. I would recommend this book.

This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. I have enjoyed her books from the first one I picked up. This is the second book in this series which I highly suggest reading to help enhance your enjoyment of this series and this author. The author’s writing skills and her attention to details just make her stories pop. The characters are relatable and truly give life to her stories. They make the story engaging and entertaining to read. This book is no different. The characters pulled me into the story from the first word. A heartfelt story that took me on an emotional ride which I had a hard time putting down. It is a fast paced story that I had a hard time putting down. I really enjoyed this romance story which I highly recommend.

This series is without a doubt my favourite of 2021. I was moved beyond comprehension. My heart broke. My soul wept for this couple. I fell in love with these remarkable and courageous characters. I have read so many books I have lost count, and this story has made such a profound impact on me, I am having trouble getting into another book. This story contained more emotions and struggle than any other that I have read. The battle relentlessly continued. Minute by minute. Hour by hour. Day by day. Will and Tori faced unimaginable uncertainty, with courage, determination and an endless love for one another. It was bone deep sadness yet blindingly beautiful in the tragedy of it all. I will never forget the feeling of reading their story, and am just so thankful that I found this series. Written with such precision and propriety, it was a privilege to read. I honestly do not know where this talent comes from, but am I ever thankful for the opportunity to read such unforgettable stories such as this one. This story owns my heart and has given me everlasting memories. 5 stars.

This is the second book in the Embrace Tomorrow Duet, this book follows right from the conclusion of book 1 so I highly recommend starting with Come Back Tomorrow first.

Just like book 1, this story follows Will and Tori and their journey going through the medical steps that Will must go through in order to beat Cancer. I’ve thankfully never had to deal with a situation like this one, I can hardly imagine the pain of loving someone through this but this author made it feel really real for me.

I really enjoyed being able to experience the progression of their relationship, even though they are fictional characters I feel really happy for them and the way that it played out.

If you are looking for an emotional romance read look no further this is the book for you!

I wasn’t even halfway through the first book in this duet when I just had to buy this second book in the duet. There was no way I could wait to see how Will and Tori’s story concluded. I was totally invested in this couple and was praying that there was going to be a happy outcome for them.
Yet again this book needs to come with a ‘tissues required’ warning. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever cried so much at any book series as I have with this duet. Following Will’s story as he battles with cancer is totally heart breaking. My heart just went out to him, and Tori, so many times. I absolutely adored both of these characters and don’t know how I’m going to deal with the fact that their story is now over and I won’t get to read more about them. I do know that I will definitely read this duet over and over and probably cry just as much every time I read them.
I really loved getting to know the real Will as his story progressed. Seeing him blossom into the amazing man that was hiding under the cancer was just awesome.
Just like the first book, I thoroughly recommend this book and would give it more than 5 stars if I could.

Amy Argent is the author of Come Back Tomorrow and its sequel, Whatever Tomorrow Brings.  Amy can honestly say she writes day and night —clinical trial documents as a medical writer by day and contemporary romance as a novelist by night . . . and possibly into the wee hours of the morning.  She has a PhD in Genetics that she agonized entirely too much over, but it did result in a fascinating day job—the details of which tend to creep into her fiction.

Amy can be found in Raleigh, North Carolina, with her husband, two teenagers, and two hedgehogs, where she’s most likely planning her next departure from reality —destination: Dragon Con, the closest Renaissance Faire, or the nearest book.

Amy has always been fascinated by the many ways people cope with the human condition. Her stories explore the emotional journey we take when adversity drastically changes life’s course, but being an eternal optimist, she’s found her niche in soulful stories with silver linings.  In truth, they can always be found if one is willing to look for them.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Come Back Tomorrow, the first book in the Embrace Tomorrow Duet by Amy Argent, was a great read.
I really enjoyed the flow of this book. It catches your attention right away and you really want to see the friendship develop between the main characters.
Tori is a psychologist working at a hospital. As part of her job, she keeps company with terminally ill patients at the hospital who don’t have family or anyone to talk to.
Will is dying. He has terminal cancer, and he is all alone, and he also has a DNR on his file. Tori wants, needs, to find out why he has given up on his life.
She arrives at his room and slowly they start to chat. At first Will doesn’t understand why she would even want anything to do with him. But every day she asks him “Can I come back tomorrow” and he says sure. Then the question is asked to Tori, but will that be enough for her to have helped him?
I loved the way the author wrote this book. It was a hard to put down read because I always wanted to know what they were going to talk about next time and how their relationship would grow. But I would prepare yourself with tissues because this read is a rollercoaster ride!
If you enjoy a good contemporary romance like this, you’ll enjoy this book! I cannot wait to read the second one!

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow Duet Book 1) by Amy Argent

I usually steer clear of books like this.  I hate getting attached to a character only to have something happen to them but there was something that grabbed me so I had no choice but to read it and I’m so glad that I did.

I understood from the very beginning what Tori learns to see in Will.  Under his gruff exterior I feel he was scared and alone.  It took some time for that shell he had to get cracked.

Tori has an amazing gift and I don’t know how she does it time after time.   It takes a very special person to spend time with someone who is coming to the end of their life and alone.

I cannot wait to get the next book started and find out how everything turns out.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The narrator of this story is a practicing psychologist who loves her job helping people to work through their grief either as someone who las lost someone, or someone who is about to die, but sometimes she takes the time to befriend someone who is terminally ill, but has no other visitors, however, after the last couple, she has decided to take a break from it, however, when her friend tells her she is needed to befriend someone again, she agrees to at least go and see them.

As she makes her way to the Oncology floor, she is thinking about who she is expecting to see, he is called William Everson Jr and he is young, only in his late twenties, but what she sees when she goes into his room for the first time isn’t what she is expecting at all, in fact, he is gorgeous and doesn’t look ill in the slightest. She soon realises that the happy, smiling, young man is actually high on morphine, so she overcomes the shock of her first impressions and asks if she can “Come back tomorrow” and see him again, he agrees and then she leaves.

The next day when she arrives, she meets a completely different person and this one doesn’t want to talk to her at all and just wants to give up the fight to live completely, however, she stays and talks to him about herself, she asks the same question and he reluctantly says yes. As the days pass and the two spend a couple of hours together every day, the two become closer until it is him that starts to say “Will you come back tomorrow?” and this is where everything changes. What will happen between the two as William’s illness takes more of a hold and fluctuates between highs and lows and will he change his outlook on life and death? This is an emotional rollercoaster of a book which will take you on highs and lows as you feel your way through the decisions one young man has to make and see what life is like from the perspective of someone who doesn’t have much of one left.

This story took me on an emotional roller-coaster. This book is not for the faint of heart. This was heart wrenching as well as heart warming. You will definitely need to have a box of tissues near when you read this. This is the first book I have read by this author and I am glad I took the chance because the author sucked me into the story and the lives of the characters. The struggles Will goes through while battling this awful disease was hard to read. I am glad that Tori was there with him and brought up the good feelings I needed to feel in a sea of sadness. This book leaves us on a cliffhanger but it is one of hope. I look forward to engrossing myself in the next book. This is a must read.

Come Back Tomorrow is the first book I’ve read by Amy Argent and I look forward to reading more in this series. While the storyline was raw and emotional ( not unlike I was expecting) it was really well written and engaging. I think when I got into this book I was anticipating a companionship less like a romantic relationship. While this story did not play out like I was anticipating, the characters were as heartwarming and relatable as I had hoped. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that wants to read something resembling an emotional roller coaster (in all the best ways). This was a great start to a new to me series and a greater introduction to a new to me, author.

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow, #1)Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My emotions were not ready for the story of Tori and WIll. Tori is a psychologist who spends her extra time comforting terminal patients who are without family and friends. Will is a cancer patient who is determined to die alone. When Tori’s best friend Jenny asks her to meet Will, Tori has no idea what is in store for her. The characters of this story are so beautifully complex. Tori carries some past experiences that make her determined to help those on their deathbed, even if they don’t want the help. She believes in the strength of friendship to help others find peace. Will is stubborn and hurt, afraid of being a burden. He thinks the best choice is to die alone. Slowly, Tori starts to work her way into conversation with him and they soon find a connection.

There are so many realistic and relatable aspects to this story. The pain people go through at the expense of cancer is real. This story shines a light, not only on the feelings of the person that is ill, but the ones that care for them as well. The emotions are so raw I couldn’t hold back tears. I cried, I laughed, I was completely enveloped in the world of Tori and WIll. This is my first Amy Argent book but certainly will noy be my last. I am ready for more, I MUST know what comes next. I will definitely be reading book two!

Amy Argent’s “Come Back Tomorrow” is beautiful and gave me all of the feels including tears, awe, anger, happiness, and love (in no specific order). This story of fighting cancer gave me a new perspective on what patients go through as they decide to forgo medicine and how their pain can impact friends, family members, and partners. I am looking forward to, and hopefully not crying through, book 2.

Wow! What can I say about Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent? For a start it needs to come with a ‘tissues required’ warning. Honestly, if you can read this book without sobbing like a baby then you must have a swinging brick for a heart.
I really don’t think that there are enough superlatives or that I have a big enough vocabulary to describe just how amazing this book it. I have to say that it totally wrecked me. I laughed. I cried, oh God, I cried so much. I was angry. In fact, I think I went through every emotion possible reading this book.
29 year old, terminal cancer patient Will Everson has to be one of the best characters that I have ever read, followed closely by Tori Somerset. They both blew me away.
This book is a total eye opener to just how awful cancer can be. Reading what Will’s character went through is just totally heartbreaking. I felt so much for him as we went through his awful journey with cancer.
This book now has to be up there in my top 10 favourite books ever and I know that I will read it over and over in the years to come. I wasn’t even halfway through it when I bought and downloaded the 2nd book in the duet as I just had to know how Will and Tori’s story ended.
This book is worth more than the 5 stars I’m allowed to give it!

Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent an emotional five-star read. This is number one in the Embrace tomorrow duet, and it does make you ponder, what if you don’t have a tomorrow, do you have enough to make it worth the fight for another tomorrow if you had too. This story will make you laugh, it will also make you cry, but most of all it will make you hope. I am not going to say if that hope gets lost as you need to read to find out, but I will say bring tissues, and wine, and a space in your heart for this duet. I am so excited to read the next chapter and see what will happen next, will I need more tissues, or more wine?

I really felt like I was there watching this, like a fly on the wall. I really enjoyed the characters Will and Tori, they were relatable to me. I’ve never experienced watching a love one fight cancer. But this book helped me understand the pain that cancer patients and their families go through. Come Back Tomorrow was an amazing read! If you cry easily you may want to grab a box of tissues when you pick this book up because the tears can start very early and will flow continuously while reading this book! I loved the characters and fell in love with Will about as quickly as Tori did. I wanted to shake the crap out of Tori the entire time I was reading this novel though, and especially at the end! This book does end on a alight cliff hanger, and I absolutely can NOT wait to read the second! There’s so much left to find out!

This is the 1st book in the Embrace Tomorrow series. This is a Contemporary Romance novel and is 384 pages in length. This story follows Will in his cancer battle. He is battling one of the roughest forms of cancer. After 2 rounds of chemo, he has had enough and signs a DNR. Tori is a psychologist who visits with terminal patients. She certainly did not expect to meet someone as handsome as Will, and soon feelings develop, and sparks fly. Will there be another tomorrow for them?

This book is not at all what I expected, but in the best way possible. The author’s writing style has a way of keeping you hanging on to every word on the page. What a rollercoaster of emotions! I’ve never been a very emotional person while reading, but this book had me going through a serious roller coaster of grief and elation. I just wanted to reach through the page and strangle Will at some points and hold him close at others. Tori is so good for him. I hope everything works out for them. I can’t wait for part 2!

I have been talking to everyone about this book! It was an amazing emotional roller coaster. I love Tori, to volunteer to be friends with people that are terminally ill takes a very special person. Tori is definitely that person. She is personable, loving, and empathic to those she spends time with. Will is terminally ill. He has cut off all friends and family but has not come to terms to with dying. Can Tori help him make amends with those he needs to be able to let go peacefully? Jenny is a nurse at the hospital where Will is and helps direct Tori to him when she sees that he has no visitors. Jenny is a great support person, who walks the line of what she can and cannot tell Tori. Though I was screaming at my kindle for her to just tell all.
I had to have my box of Kleenex out from the first couple chapters of this book. It made my heart soar one moment and cry the next.

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow Duet Book 1) by Amy Argent – Review by Hansini Wasalamudalige

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow, #1)Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

‘Come Back Tomorrow’ by Amy Argent follows clinical psychologist Tori Somerset as she befriends cancer patient Will Everson who seemingly has given up on life and surrendered himself to a fate of being alone. If wholesome and sweet romances are your bread and butter, then this book isn’t one to miss- Tori and Will’s relationship is beautifully written and incredibly compelling. It’s not hard to see why the pair are destined to be together as they treat each other with kindness, respect and courtesy. Despite the book primarily taking place in a single place, it manages to feel much larger in scale- Tori’s big heart and Will’s sarcastic wit going leaps and bounds further than the confines of the hospital. Their chemistry is palpable and their affection towards each other is undeniably evident, which makes Will’s dire circumstances all the more heart-breaking. Despite the genre of the book, Argent refuses to shy away the ugliness of cancer and the massive toll it can take on a person’s health, and the story is all the more stronger for it- other novels with similar premises tend to sugar-coat or romanticise the illnesses they portray but ‘Come Back Tomorrow’ doesn’t fall into this trap. Argent thoroughly and clearly describes the way the cancer has affected Will- not only on his body but also on his mind, emotions, perspective and relationships.

A romance novel is only as good as its romantic leads and ‘Come Back Tomorrow’ doesn’t disappoint. Will has a penchant for painting, cats and comics and, beyond his understandably aloof exterior, he is arguably kind to a fault- willing to sacrifice his own comfort and happiness so as to not trouble and sadden the people he cares about. Tori is similarly compassionate- not only is her very career predicated on the notion of helping people but she does so in her spare time, which is what leads her to Will in the first place. She spends her time befriending those who seemingly have a very limited support system to assist them during their illnesses- bringing light and love to those who need it the most. These two truly good souls are a match made in heaven, and it’s a delight to read about their journeys to each other.

In conclusion, if you’re in the mood for a sweet and compelling romance, then ‘Come Back Tomorrow’ is a book you’re not going to want to put down.
