Deadly Alliance (An Alliance Agency Novel – The Prequel) by Maddie Wade & India Kells 5 stars
I am absolutely in love with this series already. I was sucked into this story from the beginning and through laughs and lots of tears, i made it to the end loving this so much. Shane is hurting and I could feel the guilt and sadness coming through the pages as I read and then add in Emme and it was all over the feelings meter for me. Emme, so strong and courageous and just wanting to be seen to be an equal. The emotions, the heartbreak and the downright sad in this book was felt so strongly. I highly recommend this book and will now be going back to read both of these series from the beginning as i haven’t had the pleasure yet.
I was so stinking excited to get my hands on this book by two of my favorite go-to authors when it comes to romance with some excitement and sizzle. I was really hoping this book was everything I had hoped it would be and even more excited to report that is soared beyond my expectations even. Wade and Kells have similar writing styles and it is evident that they compliment each other with the ebb and flow of this story. Even better, there will be more of these books to come!
Deadly Alliance is the prequel to An Alliance Agency series from these two and I can tell that things are going to be one heck of a ride along the way. In Deadly Alliance we are introduced to Shane Rhodes and Emme Wallace, two agents from two separate teams who suddenly find themselves working very much on the same team. These two pose as a married couple whilst under cover investigating a serial killer. As the body count rises the need to figure out this case becomes more and more dire. I loved the way these two characters worked together. They made things light and airy where needed and got down to business the other times. I found myself rooting and cheering at these two as if I was watching my favorite football team edge a win. My only sadness came with the end of the book, but like I said there is more to come and I am in line for that right away!
I have read both of these authors before and liked them when they wrote books alone. For me when both these authors were on Deadly Alliance I jumped at the chance to read them both with one story. There are two agencies Fortis and Purgatory who offer covert services with their highly qualified operatives. Shane Rhodes is one of the operatives. He is a former Navy Seal who has had a lot of tragedies in his past, but he takes the murder of his best friend’s little sister personally. Emme is young but is working with Shane. They both are looking for revenge. Will there be barriers to keep them at bay? Will Shane’s and Emme’s skills be able to take out the threat? I highly recommend this story.

Deadly Alliance (An Alliance Agency Novel – The Prequel) by Maddie Wade & India Kells was action packed and exciting. I was easily hooked at the start of this novel and could not put it down. The story line was easy to follow and fun to disappear in. It had great build up to a fun climax. I loved also the characters of this novel. They were easy to visualize and realistic. I loved the witty banter and humor of some of them. I have read other books by these two authors and I love what they have created together. This novel was an enjoyable read and I highly recommend it. I look forward to more from these authors.

Deadly Alliance is a crossover novel between India Kells Purgatory series and Maddie Wade’s Fortis series. It is a prequel novel bringing together these 2 amazing group to form a new alliance. I am a huge fan of both India Kells’ Purgatory series and Maddie Wade’s Fortis series, so when I discovered that they were working together to create a crossover, to say I was excited, is a bit of an understatement. There is no way that anything they would work on together would be anything less than amazing and I was so right. I loved this book so much and can’t wait to read more of this series. In this book, the 2 teams have got together to find a serial killer who has been killing female members of the military in both the US and UK. One of those killed was the sister of former Navy SEAL Shane Rhodes’ best friend. Now working for Purgatory, Shane is determined to catch the killer. The plan is to work undercover with Emme Wallace, a Fortis agent, pretending to be a married couple to bring the killer out. Needless to say Shane and Emme didn’t see eye to eye on anything, which only got worse as both started to fight growing feelings towards each other. This book is very fast paced, has fantastic characters and an amazing storyline that grabs you straight away and takes you on a roller coaster journey filled with mystery, suspense, danger and heart break. I was pulled right into the story and couldn’t put it down, devouring the whole book in one sitting. If this prequel is anything to go by then this is going to be an epic series which I will read over and over.

Maddie Wade and India Kells have both hooked a new reader! This is my first experience with these authors and they definitely did not disappoint! When I first read the title, I honestly didn’t know this was part of two other series of books. I will now be reading those separate series! But Deadly Alliance can be read as a standalone. This story is written flawlessly. It combines two elite Special Forces agencies in Fortis and Purgatory and travels from the US to the UK on a joint mission to catch a serial killer. The characters are spectacular and immediately draw you in to their lives. The connection between Shane and Emme…..whew! Turn the air up because it’s getting a bit hot in here!
This story is filled to the brim with twists and turns that you won’t see coming! Definitely a 5 star read that will keep you turning the pages! I can’t wait to read more from these authors! I’m looking forward to learning more about these characters and their worlds.
