The Wandering Isles (The Crown of Stones)The Wandering Isles by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was interested to see that there was another book in this series following Ian and Jarryd. They were such interesting characters. The past comes back to haunt them and the action scenes were great. Since this was a novella, the story went by quickly but it didnt seemed rushed and i enjoy this author’s writing style. and I am looking forward to more by this author in the future!

Fireflies (The Physical Collection)Fireflies by A.R. Hadley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book that i have read by this author and i enjoyed it! It is a M/M romance that quickly turns into a MMF romance when the main characters Mike and Dane decide that they want to start a relationship with a woman or rather bring a woman into their relationship. They explore the possibilities and things are complicated but oh sooo good. I enjoyed this story and i am looking forward to more by this author in the future.

Sleeping Love by Natalina Reis – Review by Anastasia Dodson

Sleeping LoveSleeping Love by Natalina Reis
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was a interesting retelling of Sleeping Beauty. Retellings are stories I enjoy because I like to see how authors make a well known story their own. The main characters in this were names Ayo and Yi. They had a sweet MM romance that was very angsty more times than not and just an fyi this story isn’t written in the 1st person so it was a little harder to connect than my normal stories but you got more sides of the story besides just the thoughts of the two mc’s. I thought the characters were good and their overall story was interesting!

Hero Complex is the 3rd book in the Bluestone series and the MC’s are Ivy And Ace! I liked this fast paced read and I adored the characters! They start a fake relationship to keep unwanted advances away and I absolutely love that trope so I jumped on this book as soon as I read the synopsis. It was a such a cute story and I enjoyed the authors writing style. I am looking forward to more by this author in the future!

Afflicted Love (Rhythm & Heart Series) by Autumn Sand – Review by Anastasia Dodson

Afflicted LoveAfflicted Love by Autumn Sand
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Afflicted Love is the first book in the Rhythm & Heart series and it is a MM dark romance. This emotion filled book kept me intrigued but also kind of ping ponged back and forth with enough angst, i got whiplash. Other than that I thought it was a good but dark book that goes through the many hard emotions and pain that the main characters experience. I enjoyed this authors writing style and the story overall even if it ended in a massive cliffhanger that left me with a lot of questions but eager to read more. I would recommend this to someone that like a more angsty dark read!
Looking forward to more by this author!

Savage Truth: A Dark High School Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Book 2)Savage Truth: A Dark High School Bully Romance by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Savage Truth is the second book in this series and directly follows book one, so this cannot be read as a standalone. This is the conclusion to Riley and Cole’s Story who we met in book one. I really enjoyed their story even if i wanted to smack them occasionally. The author pulled me in and made the main characters interesting even when they were being total wankers. There was drama, suspense and with danger just around the corner no one could relax. This was a little angsty for my taste but i enjoyed the story overall and was eager to see how some of the “who’s and what’s” questions that book one left me with. I am looking forward to more books by this author in the future!

This is the third and final book in this series and this story is about Ian Troy. I enjoyed Ian Troy’s story and watching him grow as a character. I am very glad that I read the first books in this series before starting this one because this one isn’t a standalone and i would have been very lost. This action packed book was enjoyable and i am looking forward to more by this author in the future!

Just One Time (Beaumont Creek Book 1) by Samantha Baca – Review by Anastasia Dodson

Just One Time (Beaumont Creek, #1)Just One Time by Samantha Baca
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was a best friends to lovers romance about a woman named Abby who just turned 40 and is desperate to start a family. He best friend Nate seems like the perfect place to looking for help, It could be a one time thing/hookup and if it doesn’t work then she could move on to more expensive, less convenient options. But Nate has feelings for Abby and of course she has no clue. Secrets, miscommunication and other things made this story all the more complicated and exciting to read. I really liked Abby and Nate and I enjoyed reading the ups and downs that were included in the pages of their story.

This is the third book in the Chase Care series and I liked it just as much as the previous books. It can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading this series from the start. There was a little bit of everything in this book, it has suspense, drama, romance and action. I want to say its my favorite of the series but they have all been good. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys a suspenseful romance that has couple who gets snowed in and has a hard time ignoring the mutual attraction while trying to solve a mystery! Braving Lily is a opposites attract rockstar romance that i enjoyed from beginning to end. Lily is actioned off on a blind date for charity and is stood up. Taking matters in her own hand she tracks the man down and he is very different from what she was expecting. Rhys was set up for a blind date by his mother even though he wasn’t ready date. But when Lily shows up at his door, they are hit it off despite the fact they are complete opposites of each other.
I loved both Rhys and Lily. They were great main characters that had difficult pasts they had to overcome and get passed. I enjoyed this book a lot and I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future.

This was a really good novella. This is a new to me author but i thought the blurb sounded interesting. This was a good introduction to the series and it was only 50 pages so i read it in one setting. This ended in a cliffhanger but I don’t mind because I am looking forward to reading more and seeing where this series/story goes. I would recommend this to anyone that likes bully romances.

Hot For Me (The Balefire Series Book 4) by Tam DeRudder Jackson – Review by Anastasia Dodson

Hot For Me (The Balefire Series Book 4)Hot For Me by Tam DeRudder Jackson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rockstar Romances… gotta love them! And this one was a good one. Adam and Cristy are our main characters and I liked them a lot. They found love even when they were exactly looking for it and they had to work for it because it didn’t come easily. The past was knocking on their door and tried to throw everything out the window but they persevered and I really liked that about them. This is the 4th book in the series and each book in the standalone in the series that focuses on a different member of the band. I will have to go back and read the other three books in this series because I liked this authors writing style and I enjoyed this book.
I would recommend this to anyone that like rockstar romances!

True Colors (Landry’s True Colors Series Book One) by Krysten Lindsay Hager – Review by Anastasia Dodson

True Colors (Landry's True Colors #1)True Colors by Krysten Lindsay Hager
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book would be a great one for a pre-teen or teen. Middle school was and interesting time and lets be honest, kind of sucky time. This book shows all of the different things someone might face in middle school. It includes teenage drama, bullying, trying to fit in, finding yourself at that age, and the question we all had at that age… is being popular all that it is cracked up to be? It was well written and a I enjoyed the story the author brought to us even if it was not my preferred genre and I am looking forward to letting my daughter read this in her teens.
