Fight for It by Amy L. Gale – Review by Angie Finley

Fight for It (Sunset Cove)Fight for It by Amy L. Gale
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was a story about finding yourself again, but I felt like it could’ve been more in depth. It was a quick read with what could’ve been a great story to tell.
Ray moves back to his hometown to start over and his best friends sister, Alyssa, comes back into his life.

Alyssa’s life has been tragic, with the death of her brother and being in an abusive relationship, but her brothers best friend, Ray, the boy who has always had her heart, makes her see that she can start over.

Ray is a hometown hero. He left to become a boxer. An injury threatens to end his career so he “retires” and heads back home to buy the local eatery they all grew up at. And finds Alyssa in the process.
Will they both get a fresh start or will they stay in the past?

Caught by HimCaught by Him by Tammy Mannersly
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Brody is an actor who has taken some time to prepare for an upcoming role. One night he sees what appears to be a burglar breaking into the house next door. Unbeknownst to him it is Willabelle, the neighbors granddaughter there to house sit.
They are both instantly attracted to one another and from there on out inseparable, until a little speed bump of drama, in the form of an ex and a substitute publicist, interferes. This is a quick, to the point, easy read about instant love and a little bit of drama.

This was my first time reading this particular author and let’s just say she pulled me in instantly and I fell in love with the characters. Flirting with my Enemy: A Sweet Romantic Comedy (Love is a Mystery #1)Flirting with my Enemy: A Sweet Romantic Comedy by Laura Burton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a the first time reading anything by this author. I must say it was a cute little romance.
Elle runs a bakery that was left to her by her mother. In steps Zane, who coincidentally, opened a bakery right next door to her, and wants to partner up. Elle is conflicted and doesn’t know what she should do. She doesn’t want to fall for the enemy but little by little she is falling for him. And still on the fence of partnering together, until her “grandmother” has an accident and she has to do what’s best for her while taking care of her.
This was a cute enemies to lovers story, with a little cheesiness, but that is what the main character likes …. cheezy!!

There she meets Simone, an actress, who at first is kind of giving the vibe of I’m better than you and I have better people to hang out with. And Hadley also gets bullied by Simone’s friends….. It’s happening all over, no friends and feeling left out. Hadley befriends Charlotte and they are hitting it off good. Then Hadley finds out she’s moving to the town and she is nervous to be starting a new school. Of course, things are different but as the school year gets to going, she finds out that she truly has a group and things are looking up!!

Peaceful Slumber (Soul Connection, #1)Peaceful Slumber by Nikki Lynn Barrett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Scott survived and now he sees ghosts. Normally, he is bothered by them and gets aggravated but not “Zelda”, a ghost who showed up with no memory of who she is and what has happened to her. Can Scott help her so she can move on, or is there something more to this story? As he tries to help her, feelings evolve, as well as, the truth and who she is. I normally don’t read a paranormal stories, but this one was very intriguing and had me captivated from page one.
